Simply brilliant, does a great job!
Simple to use, quick to charge, can be used at most angles (as its a sealed container) and been worth it’s weight in gold in removing condensation in the bathroom and from windows around the house. Catchment tank is fairly small, but big enough to do one room at a time.
Changed my life for bette
Absolutely amazing! We have lots, I mean LOTS of condensation on our windows during winter and we have a lot of windows. Wiping them every morning with sponges, cloths and window squidgy was a pain of my existence. With this window vac my life has changed – it takes me twice less time to do the job and no mess. There are only two things to be aware of. The water tank is quite small, so make sure to empty it regularly. I do after every window. With this price tag can’t complain though. Another small “issue” that it arrived in its original box, without outer packaging, so did not look good. Might be an issue for someone who orders its a present. But all in all I would give it 10/10.
I bought this to replace the exact model we bought about four years ago that started making very odd noises. We only use it for drying the bathroom – it’s good for that as it’ll work horizontal until the reservoir is about a third full, unlike some of the cheap ones. Forget using it for windows, it’s totally useless for that as doesn’t get to the edges properly.
Anyway, we use to charge our old one about once every 6-8 weeks whereas this one more like every two weeks. I guess corners have been cut at Karcher to make more money and suppose this newer model just has a cheaper, lower capacity battery.
After using the window vacuum for more than 3 weeks, I am writing this review to share my experience. In my apartment, I have double-glazed windows, and during the winter, I noticed a significant amount of condensation on them. For a long time, I would manually wipe off the condensation using a microfiber cloth. However, after discovering the window vacuum and reading positive reviews, I decided to give it a try.
I am pleased to say that I am satisfied with the product. Not only did it effectively remove the condensation from my windows, but I also found it useful for cleaning my shower tiles and sink countertop. It does the job well, and I wish I had purchased it sooner. In my opinion, it is an excellent product and offers great value for money.
In terms of packaging, the product arrived well-packed and without any damage. Assembly is straightforward, and I found it easy to clean as well. One great feature is that it does not consume much electricity, as a single charge can last for two to three days.
As for any drawbacks, I couldn’t find any significant cons. However, it would be even better if the product came with different suction heads to cater to different cleaning needs.
Overall, I highly recommend the window vacuum based on my positive experience.
This is a replacement machine for a previous Karcher model which eventually gave up the ghost after about 14 years. This model is basic but does the job with moisture laden windows or shower cubicles. The only issue I would have is the head size restricts is use on smaller window panes depending on the size of your frames. My original vac had a smaller head which was handy for the smaller glass panes. Overall it is a decent piece of kit and to be honest it’s better purchasing it on its own without the additional items which I would never use.

Have just tried the Karcher WV1 window vac. Works as expected, streak free and powerful enough to remove condensation from windows. However, received the product in the original Karcher box with my name, address label stuck in too. This box had a very simple opening which was not tamper-proof at all. No indication of which and how many pieces and should be included so would not know what, if anything, is missing.
I am also not keen on the delivery driver knowing what I have ordered so a brown, recyclable outer box would have been preferred. Have given one less star because of poor packaging.
Simply marvelous bit of kit, we have bad condensation here, very large, very old, double glazing. It took ages to dry them before using a squeegee and an old piece of towel also I got frozen hands. BUT NOW ITS LIKE MAGIC one wipe with this and the windows are clean and dry.
Gripe time… Amazon delivery is getting awful. I waited and watched my ipad to see when to expect the parcels, it was pitch dark and raining when suddenly they were delivered, handed to the resident! Err no they were not! Amazon couldn’t care less, oh they’ll turn up… I have to admit they did… a 170 vacuum and my new favourite toy had been left on my 80 year old neighbours front step. The delivery person hadn’t even rung their bell. It was only when he came out to lock his front gate that the wet parcels were found! Luckily the vacuum was double boxed or it would have been sent back. If my window vac had not been in a plastic bag it would have been ruined as the cardboard box was wet through! Pull your socks up Amazon!
I had a condensation problem. It was using up a ridiculous amount of kitchen roll, pots of salt everywhere & hacks that just didn’t cut it. I saw someone recommend this on soc media and thought- yeah. I figured that for the price, I probably have laid out the cost in time & kitchen roll – so I may as well give this a try – and just hoped that it was as good as everyone claimed.
Reader, I was not disappointed! It arrived with a bit of charge and I got right to it. It took a while for me to work out that you slide it down the window, not up – (probably shouod have read the booklet – but I was too excited). It really did the trick. The attached water well is easy to empty with a few twists and clicks, and overall – it has been a game changer for my moist dwelling.
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the window squeegee bit that fits and glides nicely across my door panes – does not fit horizontally in my smaller window panes – and I have to turn it 45 degrees which impacts the effectiveness of the swipe, the handling position, and potentially a leak should the reservoir get quite full. If it had come with a smaller attachment I’d have been stoked. But as it is I will make do. It’s ridiculously satisfying process and makes an annoyance of a thing into a pleasure.

After recommendations from friends I bought Karcher window vac. It’s very quick to use and does a really good job of clearing the mist and condensation from the windows. It takes seconds to clear each window and it works on the shower screens too!
My mother in law has one of these, and I’ve been impressed by what they had to say about it.
After everybody who wants a shower has had one, just hoover the glass and the walls, and Bob is your dad’s brother. Our shower glass is clean and clear, and never needs cleaning, what more could you want?
I have had a Karcher window vac for quite a time and think it is great, a friend of mine saw it, tried it and was so impressed, the look on her face was contagious so I bought her one for her birthday and in turn all her friends have bought one also – good product all round.
I will find it difficult to rave about a product of this kind. The concept of a window vac was introduced to me by a friend who does rave about it but he also raves about stamp collecting.
I combined this with a brilliant cleaning product and the combined results are very good. I am not sure I would pay for the really expensive versions with all of the different accessories, but this does the job at a low cost so if you want to try something slightly easier than old fashioned elbow grease, then get one and if it is still plugged into the charger in six months and not at the back of a cupboard, then it was worth the money.
Powerful little thing
Got this as I was dealing with a lot of condensation on my windows over the colder months. While you do need to charge it after about 30 minutes of use, that really is all you’ll need for most jobs and my windows are massive. It clears up moisture instantly and is really easy to empty out and clean. It’s also just very oddly satisfying to use and it doesn’t feel like a chore.

Took the plunge and bought on Promo for c40, can’t fault it as a tool to clear condensation from damp windows as our property is old and inefficient, only criticism is smaller windows are hard to do around the edges so a cloth is needed still

Easy glass cleane
Have thought about buying one of these for some time and am well pleased as it is excellent for cleaning the shower screen very easily and quickly.

The best I have found to clear condensation from windows
I have tried a couple of makes of window vacums and this U found to be the best. This seems to have kept a good suction and has not broken like the others have after a year.

Not quite as good as my original
I had my original until recently, only replaced blades. However, it did give up after many years excellent service. My replacement doesn’t seem as sturdy but must admit it does do a good job. Slightly different design which only time will tell if as good as original.

in our family household, we have found the Krcher WV 1 Window Vac invaluable during the winter months.

Broke after a few uses.
Amazon are rubbish at customer support and I could not get help or a replacement on my broken window vac, attempted direct with Karcher but no reply so far. I would not buy anything off Amazon again unless consumable as their guarantee is not a guarantee.

so glad I purchased this…. my husband leave water in the bath after a shower and this makes light work of wiping/ sucking up the water in no time. its rather addictive to use so I make sure mine its always charged up.
my shower screen is always streak and watermark free and I love using it. lightweight and super easy to use. I would highly recommend it.
A most useful tool
My window cleaner having given up his round I borrowed a Karcher to do my windows. I was so impressed I bought my own. I saved the cost – compared to a window cleaner – within a couple of weeks.
It works well on car windows, bathroom mirrors and showers too. It takes a little practice to get the best results – just don’t press hard, draw it over the glass and let the suction and squeegee do their work.

Great helper to getting clean windows.
This is basically a vacuum cleaner that sucks up water. You still have to scrum the windows, but once you run this over it finishes them off well. No streaks any more. Did 10 windows and 2 patio doors and there was still life left in the battery.
I’ve also used it on the tiles in the bathroom, kitchen and splash backs and glass hob. Also did the car windows. It’s great that its cordless.

Absolutely chuffed to bits with this Karcher Vac. The suction power is great and we use it on the shower screen and walls in the ensuite every day.
We purchased the Vac a month ago and gave only had to charge it once. My Sister also got one and loves hers too. She uses hers on her tiled kitchen floor and recommends highly too.

Absolutely love this window vacuum. It’s such a great idea and design. No need for dehumidifiers dotted around the house now. This window vacuum clears condensation from windows in no time and collects the water in a handy little container attached. Excellent value for money too.
Easy To Use
Am very pleased with my Karcher purchase. Its lightweight and will easily and swiftly clean a medium size shower. You can then empty the water collected in the water container ready for next day reuse.
The unit also works well on collecting the water after cleaning small to medium sized windows.
The instruction manual is comprehensive and the unit comes with a two year warranty.
The charging time is around two hours and will run for around 25 mins between charges. A more powerful battery would be helpful for longer running time. Can recommend if you are looking for a reliable mid sized unit.

I love this Karcher. Bought as a work replacement for the same model which has seen considerable use. I find this model far more manageable than the larger version, it works best with a decent lather leaving a clean, streak free shine.

Better than expected
We have single-glazed front door and due to high humidity in the area, we had to wipe it down at least once a day, every day. Even when wiping it with paper towels or cloth, there is so much condensation on the glass that it was running down faster than we could wipe it.
I expected it to be a problem even for the vac but, to my surprise, the suction is so powerful that it’s not an issue. Pleasantly surprised.

Very good window vac. I have a lot of condensation on bedroom windows in the winter and always used to use old microfibre towels to mop it up but then bought this vac and wondered why I didn’t buy it years ago! Very light to hold and sucks up the condensation on its first sweep down the window. Used it in the shower too and its excellent. Will use it in the summer as well when I clean my glass top garden table. Since using it first time it has still kept it charge so I am very happy with purchase.

Have had several different versions of these window Vacs. This is the cheapest in the range and hence just the basic Vac with a large blade, It is great for removing condensation from large windows,the water goes into a small clear tank which you just empty when full. The charge seens to last pretty well and recharges fairly quickly. I prefer the wWV5 which comes with an aditional smaller blade which is better on small windows and shower cubicles. The downside of these Window Vacs and other cordless appliances is that the weak point is always the batery which gives out after a few years. It is then very difficult to get new batteries and if you can there are restrictions on where they can be sent to and can not be returned if you get the wrong one as caries wont touch them. In additional for this product if you do manage to get a replacement it is not cost effective as the battery for this cost about 28 so you end up dumping a perfectly good product.

Cleans up my bathroom great!
My bathroom was getting very wet after showering and patches of moisture would sometimes stay for days due to the colder weather and insufficient insulation.
We purchased this on recommendation and are so pleased. After using this all over our bathroom about 99% of the water is removed and whatever is left can clear up much quicker. The tank fills quickly and has a fairly low max level (about 1/4-1/3 full) if you over fill whilst vacuuming it can start to leak.
Its super quick and easy to empty. You just pull out the water tank, twist off the cap and pour it out.
Best purchase we have made in a while to protect from mould etc in the bathroom.

Works wonders at sucking up condensation to reduce damp and mould
Bough this to tackle the condensation on my windows. I use it every morning and each set of windows pretty much fills the reservoir to the max line. Great to know that water is going down the drain and not creating damp and mould. I have plastic wrapping on the windows and works fine with this too. Didn’t realise this was a smaller version than the one I wanted, as I didn’t check properly, but this is just as good as the larger one. Charge lasts quite a while and has a green light that lets you know it is charging and goes off once full charged. Would recommend for anyone with condensation issues.

Works really fast – one swipe, water is gone. Slight drawback is the low capacity of the water container – so you have to empty it out a couple times while using it to work on large windows. Other than that, great product.

This is a great wee thing and overal brilliant, however, the base is so chunky it doesn’t allow for windowsills, therefore the very bottom (a bout an inch) doesn’t get touched unless I turn upside down. Other than that, I love it!

This is a really effective and useful product.
This is no fault of the manufacturer, but a useful development would be an attachment that allows for smaller panes of glass to be vacuumed. The current head is too wide for some of mine.
Excellent window vaccum
This window vac is excellent. Cleans the windows streak free and is considerably better than a different make that recently went on “permanent strike”……10 out of 10 and I would highly recommend this window vac as it is excellent.
Condensation lifesaver!
I bought this because we wake up to a lot of condensation on our windows everyday, it used to take ages to wipe it all off and using so much tissue to mop it up felt very wasteful. This little baby slurps the windows dry super quickly with only a little run off, which can be easily mopped up. My young boys have happily taken responsibility for hoovering their own windows each day too!! Great buy, if you have issues with condensation on your windows – get it!

What a difference
Cannot praise this enough. My parents kitchen was full of condensation during winter. We had a similar window vaccum so bought this for then and it arrived striaght away. It’s so easy to use and all the family were almost fighting over who would use it because it’s pretty satisfying to clear the condensation off the windows and doors. It’s so easy to use, the battery life is reasonable and it charges again simply and quickly. It’s already made a huge difference and will save my elderly parents from having to dry the windows with towels several times a day.
