Cleaned my gloss ceiling effortlessly
As an owner of a shark mop steam cleaner I already knew the benefits of steam cleaning! Therefore I wanted one that allowed me to clean other surfaces. In particular my white kitchen gloss ceiling panels! With LOADs of cooking in our kitchen and our extractor hood not working properly our ceiling has turned yellow. Trying to reach it to wipe is impossible. But it looked awful. Anyway needed a steamer to cut through the grease and make our gloss ceiling panels look white again. I searched Amazon for a steamer solution which will have a handle that was long enough to reach it and not drip!! With this brand I was confident that hopefully my cleaning problems will solve! Which they did!!! I used the foot tool to clean all the ceiling attaching two long tools. I’m 5’3 and our ceilings are pretty high. Reached it effortlessly. I used the smaller tool to wipe the corners. After the ceiling was done I just wanted to tackle everything else!! Cleaned the tiles and gloss kitchen cupboards!!! It’s great for overall home cleaning. It takes a bit more effort for storage and set up compared to my mop steamer. But this item is great for a monthly degrease around the kitchen and home. I will continue to use my shark steamer for the floor as its just easier to grab and go.

Read so many awful review for cheap steam machines that push me to spend more. Don’t regret it at all, Karcher secure always good stuff, chose this one that have quick refill tank, doesn’t have any cap which I found weird, but all serve the purpose, you can top up any time you want and is ready in only few seconds, love it as I was going to do a big task and never failed me

Efficient cleaning
Great steam cleaner, efficient and easy to use. It’s a lot quicker than a normal mop and bucket and safer than using chemicals, giving me peace of mind with two babies learning to crawl and taste the floor!

I bought this after another branded steamer I had broke, it was a great purchase. It heats up really quickly and is easy to use. I have bought extra attachments such as the window cleaner, and it works well on all surfaces. The only downside is getting one of each cloth, I have bought more for spares.

Our old karcher steamer was 6 years old. This is a big upgrade starts faster, more steam cleans better. Pads Velcro in vs some funny clamping on old one. Really great product.

I have wood and tile flooring. It’s so easy and light to use. So much cleaner I now quite enjoy washing the floors. Only one complaint there’s nowhere to store the lead

This is the first steam cleaner I have used so I do not have anything to compare it with but this worked really well. Easy to use. Good range of tools. I got a lot of steam for very long periods which was fantastic. Very happy with this and very glad I did not go for the cheaper options.

After reading lots of reviews on the Internet i had mixed feelings about buying the steamer, im so happy I brought it. Was planning on changing my cushion flooring in the kitchen next year as was badly marked from renovation of the property. But its come up like brand new again. It’s functionality is excellent, the accessories useful. Some users complain of leaving a cold or tiled floor very wet, this will happen because steam condenses on cold surfaces. With practice you can get better at leaving your floor just damp rather than wet. It’s a good product, just use it with a positive approach, certainly beats a normal mop and bucket!

Generally speaking, I like it quite a bit.
Cleans quite well, I was surprised actually. Be careful when cleaning painted walls though as it can remove the paint quite easily.
Good for large areas
Love this as much quicker than my small steam mop but only downside is the lead. I have a large open plan space so the lead doesn’t reach corners of the room so have to keep stopping, unplugging but other than that a good product. Heats up quickly and easy to use.
Cuts workload significantly
My daughter has a number of holiday houses and flats she manages here in Slovenia. One property had been occupied for some months by a couple who were supposed to be looking after the premises for the owners. It was left in a dirty mess. The owners who cannot presently return from the UK because of corona virus employed my daughter to manage their properties. She used this SC3 cleaner last weekend to clean up the dirty residence. She says it is magic and has substantially reduced the time spent cleaning floors, cooker, fridge, cupboards, work surfaces and bathroom. What was looking like a weeks work has been blitzed in a couple of days. She just needs an additional supply of small round brushes because they get greasy and the same with the elasticated small microfibre covers for cleaning work surfaces and cookers. The ability to continuous fill the machine is great for her purposes, though maybe not essential for occasional domestic users. We will be using an abundant supply of water collected by our dehumidifiers to increase the life of the descaling cartridge.

Brilliant steam cleaner. A bit expensive at usual price but it is the usual decent karcher quality. Only negative to say would be that for the price they really should provide more microfiber pads. One is stingy for such a machine and price.

We just brought this to replace a faulty upright steamer. The upright we had was a popular brand and would have cost similar to this to replace but the upright design just limited its usefulness and the handle was always a bit too flexible making it hard to scrub tough muck. I recently borrowed another upright one which is another premium brand and whilst that was more solid, it was quite weak at cleaning.
So the karcher comes with the machine, a filter thing to stop scale (which is probably what killed our last steamer so will hopefully give this one a longer life), floor mop, smaller brush mop and a pointy bit which can have a sort of small wire brush attached to it. Seems similar kit to our last mop anyway.
The key for me is the body seems solid enough and the handle is solid enough you can apply some pressure to help loosen dirt. The fact it is not an upright should make it more practical for cleaning the bathroom etc too.
The two criticisms I saw when reading other reviews are it leaves the floor too wet and it can leak if it tips over. Well our oak floors dried wI think five minutes. It leaves them damp but not sipping wet. In fact it has a trigger so you only get steam if you want it and you can turn the steam volume down if you want the floor to be drier. My parents machine that I borrowed left the floor drier but also didn’t clean anywhere near as well so I think you need some water with these to get the benefit.
The other issue is that the water filler is open so if it rips up it will leak. This is true but it only takes a litre of water and I think you would have to be quite careless for it to happen.

Makes cleaning a lot easier, very versatile. With the added window add on its also great for widows mirrors etc. Makes cleaning so much easier especially as I have child with immune issues and breathing issues that bugs and even cleaning products set off

Differing hard water settings for the steame
We live in a very hard water area and is the first time I’ve had a steamer that can be setup for different water hardness settings. We’ll see over time how it goes, but first impressions look promising and build quality looks good.

Arrived on time and well packed. The instructions are a little hard to read and understand but the machine is easy to use and will produce continuous steam so long as you keep topping up the water. Topping up the water is really easy you just poor more in the top of the machine, there is no messing with pressure caps or waiting while it cools down just add more water and it keeps going.

Best steam cleaner we’ve had, so pleased to finally have something that blasts our grubby dirt and grime filled grouting back to clean and sparkling! Didn’t realise we wouldn’t actually get the carpet glider accessory but other than that very impressed.
The Karcher SC3 is a compact and easy to use steam cleaner which is very useful around the house. To be fair, there isn’t too much it does which couldn’t also be achieved with elbow grease and (usually) a good mop, but the SC3 saves you time and can give better results when used properly.
Set-up is very simple: attach the wheels to the cleaner, insert the anti-calc cartridge (plus set the water hardness if the default of “very hard” isn’t suitable), fill up with a litre of water, connect a tool to the hose and you’re all set. It’s then just a case of plugging the machine in, turning it on and waiting 30 seconds for it to heat up. The attached power lead is a good length and the wheels mean the cleaner moves around quite easily (particularly on a hard floor). The hose is also a good length and when attached to the various tools I was able to use the cleaner very easily and comfortably.
The cleaner is surprisingly small and light, so it’s very easy to transport around the home. There is built-in storage for most of the tubes and tools, which looks a little ungainly but it does the job.
In use, first impressions are not the best. Although Karcher warns you there may be drops of water appearing when producing steam for the first time, what actually appears are (small) puddles. In fact, even after that first use, the steam cleaner does leave water around the place when used on a floor. It’s no worse than what you would get from a mop, but still wetter than I would ideally like.
Performance is good, when used on a floor the cloth pads zip across the surface nicely and the steam is regulated well enough that you aren’t being surrounded by it. On more stubborn marks, the cloth pads are not terribly effective and a mop does better. However, switch to the brush tool and all is well. I had very stubborn spills and sticky mess on a hardwood floor which the SC3 and its brush tool cleared up in seconds. This left water behind which needed a quick wipe up but otherwise it was much, much faster and cleaner than using a mop or scrubbing brush to do the same job.
A litre of water in the tank gives you a lot of cleaning and the machine can be stored without emptying it each time. I can’t comment on how long the anti-calc cartridges last as I haven’t used the cleaner enough but at around 13 a go, I hope its a good amount of time.
The SC3 makes short work of cleaning a floor and has enough varied tools to cover multiple surfaces and jobs, be they on furniture or even your clothes (it will steam out some creases in garments). Although it isn’t particularly cheap, I highly recommend the overall performance and ease of use.

Has done a good job of cleaning our slate kitchen floor tiles. Purchased for c100 on offer, less than cost of professional steam clean with similar results.

his is amazing.I have been over the whole house with it .Unpainted floorboards come up brightly.Do not use on painted floors as they will fade.Does carpets and stove tops.Would really recomend this but onlt the Karcher,friends have other makes and they are not as good and eave things wet.
i love this steamer, it’s light which is great for my hands as i suffer from carpol tunnel. the only problem i have is there isn’t a stopper to stop the water from coming out if it turns over …which it has done a couple of times plus i’m always having to lean the long handle against something whilst i move chairs or something.

Great steam cleaner! Really like it but only downside is that it doesn’t come with a carpet glider other wise it would be brilliant.

Great Steam Cleaner for the money
Bought for 100 in a sale – very happy with it.
Only downside is that the carpet glider (a piece a plastic that fits over the head) is not included and costs 25 from karcher! which is a crazy price for that accessory.
Have only used this for cleaning a painted floor so far, which had ingrained dirt in it which a mop wouldn’t shift. Was delighted with the results, but did notice that the sheen came off the paint. This may have been because the previous owner had polished the floor, not sure. It is quiet, smaller than I expected, and the reservoir lasts a good while. It is also fairly mobile, following you around well. My only problem is that I am quite tall and there wasn’t quite enough tubing to avoid me stooping. A bad back ensued. Would also have liked a retractable flex, as it is quite clunky to store, despite the claims to the contrary. I had previously owned a hand-held steamer of another make which was rubbish so was relieved that this seems great. One negative is that you will have to buy the filters on a regular basis, especially if you live in a hard water area. It may be a good idea to buy another floor cloth, too

Some annoying issues but does the job well.
My initial experience using this Krcher SC3 EasyFix Steam Cleaner was one of frustration surrounding the inadequate length of the power cable. Having to use an extension lead continually was a nuisance.
Apart from that I was quite pleased with the device, which did everything I had hoped for from my past experience of similar steam cleaners.
Although relatively light and easy to handle, with simple instructions to follow, the build quality wasn’t what I had hoped for from a name like Krcher but the device did the job.
Somewhere to store the attachments would have been nice but if you want a steam cleaner that works well, this is for you, if you can put up with the annoying issues I’ve already mentioned.
Surprisingly good
This is a good bit of kit if one is prepared to work with it rather than against it. It produces a high volume of steam and though it is frustrating that it leaves behind quite a bit of water, it’s worth the effort of mopping it away.
Because there’s such a lot of steam this will inevitably turn to water when it meets a cold surface, but if you have a window vac to hand this will lift away the excess and then it can be quickly dried off with kitchen paper. It sounds like a faff but the steam has good pressure and makes a quick job of cleaning grout in particular. Be aware that any loose grout will be blasted out by the jet but that makes its useful for prepping to renew old grouting. You have to know your surfaces to ensure that plastics/sealants and porous items won’t be melted or soaked, but for bathroom/kitchen porcelain, tiles, glass and suitable plastic surfaces it leaves them squeaky clean and very shiny.
The unit is light and easy to handle and the fleece heads wash easily. A litre of water will do a surprising amount of cleaning and it’s super easy to top up – just lift out the filter, tip in more water and away you go.
Very pleased with this and will use it often.
Another excellent product from Karche
Another excellent product from Karcher, the market leaders. We have one of their power washers for the patio, the car etc and that is also excellent
This little cleaner is easy to assemble and use and produces a very effective clean result on all surfaces tried to date.
It is also easy to store and I can recommend it unreservedly.
Once you have managed to follow the instructions to set the machine to match your water hardness level it works pretty well (it defaults to the hardest water level giving I guess the shortest filter life) Karcher 2.863018.0Descaling Cartridge
It really takes up to a minute from being turned on to work properly and the only thing I don’t like compared with my old one is that you can’t see the water level (but you can top it up while in operation as it has a feed pump system).
This one only ships with basic tools and a few more brushes would have been useful e.g. Krcher Set of 4 Round Brushes With Heat Resistant Nylon Bristles For Steam Cleaners
The hand trigger offers two steam settings and my kitchen floor is “squeaky clean” compared with the results I was getting with a wand style steam cleaner.
This device is not perfect, but I still love it.
Weaknesses: the build quality seems poor, and the overall design could be more ergonomic. There is no good place to store the attachments, and the pads for steam mopping would be nicer as pockets (I’ve made my own which work really well)
Still, this is a fabulous cleaner. It does everything a steam mop would do and more, and it is far more reliable, based on my experience of steam mops. If you hate mopping floors, that function alone is good enough reason to buy this: it makes mopping a breeze. Then on top of that, it has smaller handheld attachments that enable you to clean work surfaces, cabinet fronts, even get into small crevices around sink taps and toilets. I live in a hard water area, and it is far more effective (and I think ecologically sound, assuming the carbon footprint of the device is less harmful than the pollutant effect of de scaling chemicals) than typically descaling agents.
If you like cleaning (there are some odd balls amongst us who do), this device makes it even more satisfying. If you don’t, it still makes it more satisfying / bearable.

Easy to use, simple instructions. Very easy to fill and turn on (really is so straightforward). Is a lightweight and maneuverable well-specced steamer (plenty of accessories for all little jobs). It is a simple design, but this is to be welcomed as using it is like falling off a log. The steamer takes arounf 3 minutes to heat up and pumps out enough of a stream to manage all the jobs we put it to – steam the floor, clean taps and sink, and de-grim tiles.
Very impressed and would buy again at the same price.
I’m used to using a Morphy Richards upright steamer, but it gave up the ghost a few weeks ago as the water would fall out when tilted. So I was delighted when I was offered to review this Krcher SC3 EasyFix Steam Cleaner. This is like a little puppy on a lead that licks the floor clean for me! The power lead is brilliant – and is long enough to let me use this in both the kitchen and the hallway without having to replug. This steamer has a huge water reservoir for such a small machine – and it doesn’t need to be emptied after steamer. The reservoir takes three jugs of water – the old Morphy Richards took half a jug. In use the steamer follows you about (again like a puppy!) because of the wheels. The mop-pad is also larger than the base so reaches into corner and around radiator pipes. It is also fast heating – so is in use within a minute of switching on. The trigger and handle are well designed and comfortable in use – however the handle does get warm (not hot or uncomfortable – but different to what I am used to). Cleaning results are amazing! I’m really looking to giving this a thorough work out over the summer.
One thing I was a bit disappointed with was the lack of a carpet glider attachment – it is available to purchase separately.
A brilliant item and a lot better than the old one. And it stores well too!
Great results on dirty hard-to-clean floors
This has only been used once so far but it promises to be a great machine.
Plus points: easy to use, quick to warm up, mess free, extendable handle to keep your back happy, useful number of attachments (with more available at an additional cost)
Cons: quite bulky for storage when not in use, has a water filter with a finite life (and hence an additional cost to replace in the future)
I cleaned a very dirty kitchen floor and two bathrooms without having to refill the water tank. The cleaning pad is machine washable so should last a considerable time.
Recommended.
A literally life-changing addition to the roster of cleaning products I’ve used to dedicate my life to cleaning my house of every reminder that my dog did ever shed but a hair.
The steamer comes in a white and yellow box and is styled in a lovely shiny canary yellow. The thick instruction booklet comes out first and replete with numerous languages, it doesn’t tell you what page the instructions in English are on (it’s page 11). However, what is really good is that product registration ensures a full parts and labour guarantee. It’s very tightly packed, so take a photo with your smartphone if you intend on getting it back in the box at any point. You have a limescale protector (filter) that goes in the unit, which is really good because a lot of steamers die due to limescale. However, there is only one floor muff and one window muff. You’ll need to buy more. It’s really light, (I can lift with one arm, great if you have a bad shoulder, back etc) and almost set to go. You have to put the wheels on but this is easily done and a satisfying task. There’s a lovely, long hose about three metres which is really good and a nice long lead which should obviate the need for an extension in most cases. The descaler pops in so easily and you can use tap water. You’ve got a brush for metal (thank God, given how how hard it is to clean a barbecue) and everything is separately and protectively wrapped. The hose can be short or long, like a vacuum cleaner, and to assemble it is click, click, click and it’s done. The nicest hose attachments in the business. When you put the attachments away they all pop into the yellow body, so everything can be kept together. Sadly, there’s no jug with this to measure 1 litre and you do need a jug that measure accurately, because overfilling is a hassle. However, the volume is a good size, so you won’t be bothering with refills. The machine lags a bit behind the claimed 30 seconds to heat up properly and is a bit spitty if you rush it but you’ll be away before too long. Note that this waiting time will probably reduce with use. Having already washed my kitchen floor I was amazed by how much cleaner I got it with the Krcher. The wheels are brilliant, gliding across the floor with ease and the unit works its way easily around furniture. Make sure you use the steam lock so you don’t burn yourself (as you can do with cheaper versions of such devices) and go nuts. It effortlessly cleans a cooker that might otherwise take you half an hour to clean (after soaking) no soaking, no using detergent, a fast steam clean that saves times and money and lungs, if you have asthma. I wouldn’t advise doing your window until you get a squidgy, but it can get the job almost done and your window so clean you may be inadvertently responsible for the death of a pigeon. In summary, this is a design marvel from Germany and one of the best products I’ve ever had the pleasure of reviewing on Amazon.

Purchased for floor grout cleaning. Does this well but leaves a fair amount of residual water. However used in conjunction with Karcher Window Cleaner, works a treat. Also proved effective at wall and shower cleaning. All in all very pleased
