Bought one previously for downstairs for the lounge, kitchen and dog, works brilliantly, cuts down on odors and pollen. Now i have a second in my office and the air feels so much fresher. Can seem noisy on highest setting but no different to air con at work, my mic doesn’t even pick it up on the lowest. Blue light works well as a night light if you need it for such but I think it has more to do with conditions where blue light can be beneficial.

Bought this for a small study where I spend a lot of the day and occasional use in bedroom. I use it on mid setting for the study which is quiet but powerful enough. For the bedroom I have right next to the bed on lowest setting which is extremely quiet. HEPA filter seems to do the job. A good filter unit for very small rooms and if you want something exceptionally quiet on its lowest setting. Obviously not suitable for large areas though.

Used this for two nights so far, noise level is not an issue, three speed levels, first one you can barely hear the machine, level two I consider perfectly acceptable and even level three is still quieter than most fans. I have the machine to do an admirable job, my husband suffers terribly with Hayfever and this certainly makes a positive difference.
The machine is bigger than I thought and is not really suitable for s bedside table as it needs space around it to draw in air to filter.
I moved it to the end of the bed which gives it the required space needed and it still does an excellent job.
Also note that it can be sighted anywhere and moved throughout the day, say lounge during the day and bedroom at night.
All told, very pleased and definitely recommend but please remember that you are buying an air purifier, don’t expect it to do things it wasn’t designed to do.

When it first arrived, it was pretty quiet. After a couple of days it got noisier (like kettle boiling constantly) but has remained at this level since. 6 months down the road and just changed the filter. Pretty awful to see what it’s captured! Missus getting better night’s sleep now though. Can live with the noise.

Good but a bit noisier than when it first arrived

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBefore I review – I want to thank you so much for making such a machine available for me. You have probably saved my sanity, my pregnancy…maybe my life. Sounds exaggerated I know but honestly this machine is the reason I started enjoying my pregnancy.
I have a severe Hayfever allergy and always been taking pills for it during the season. I never realised how bad the allergy is, until I got pregnant and got told you aren’t allowed to take anything. Other than having to wake up 4-5 times to pee during the night, I now also started to wake up additional 3 times by my throat itching me, nose blocked, eyes falling apart…well you get it. first night ok..second night..ok…but after 2 weeks I would literally wake up cryiiiiinggggg. I was exhausted, found no good position to sleep and I was constantly up at night peeing or trying to scratch my throat from the inside/ Scratch my eyes out.

And then…my husband suddenly had a lightbulb moment – there is this machine!!!
We went on amazon straight away and after some research decided on this one!
It came in the day after with Prime.
It has 3 strengths and it has a light in case you need it during the night.
We put the machine on 2 hours before I go to sleep( to start clearing the room)..and my oh my….I did not wake up from allergy at all. I put it on the 1st setting. if you are used to sleep in silence with no sound around – then of course this machine makes sound as it takes air in and blows it out clean. so the first night I was very aware of the sound ( it’s 3 metres away from where I sleep). now I don’t hear it anymore, it’s actually soothing.
When we have had the door/ window open whole day to air out – I’d put it it on number 2.
When I wake up go to livingroom I can already feel my nose starting to block up again, id put the machine there on number 3 for 20 minutes and then I feel I can move around better.
Just be aware that it shoots out the air so it could posssssiiibly make the room cooler, I’m using it to clear my allergy now during spring and It’s fine but I’m just thinking how it would have coped if I had a baby in the room and if its …let’s say February and I’m using it for other reasons. Would I feel the breeze?

This machine has saveeeed my sanity, thank you so sooo sooo much !!!

I love my Levoit air purifier, as far as it is possible to love an inanimate object. It’s no exaggeration to say that it has improved the quality of my life. I have lung disease and struggle with breathlessness (particularly during hayfever season!). The Levoit air purifier fills my medium-sized bedroom with fresh, clean air. My chest and sinuses are clearer and I can breathe much better. Our neighbours regularly have long BBQs in their garden which fill my whole house with smoke but my bedroom always stays fresh. I also use it overnight as it’s quiet on the lowest mode and it alleviates my nighttime congestion. I turn on the blue nightlight too as I find it soothing.
I’ve owned my Levoit for more than 8 months and when it came to replacing the filter (an easy job), I was shocked to discover how much crap the filters have collected! It’s a relief to know that I’m no longer breathing in all those harmful pollutants. I’m so impressed that I’ve purchased the larger Levoit purifier for my living room and the smaller purifier for my kitchen. And I’ve already noticed a reduction in cooking odours. This is easily the best purchase I’ve ever made. I recommend it to anyone who wants a breath of fresh air!

5.0 out of 5 stars I can breathe!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am asthmatic, I suffer from hayfever and for some odd reason my room collects dust like crazy ! All these affect my breathing really bad but Omds this machine worked so well for me !! My room is a medium sized room and my breathing got so much better with this one. You can really tell a difference. The only negative is that it works too well lol, it dries up the air and due to that it gave me a soar throat but I will still be using it for an hour or two. I would advise using it for a couple of hours and then maybe using a humidifier afterwards. I am very pleased with the product. It’s also way bigger than I thought.

    My breathing improved !

I brought this to get rid of cigarette smoke that seeps into my bedroom from my neighbour’s apartment. I tried other filters that were smaller but they did not work.

From day one, this filter eliminated the cigarette smell in 20 mins! The highest setting on the filter is quite powerful, so if you need a room to be refreshed quickly, you can get that done with this.

This is more then suitable for a small room and is probably made for a medium size room.

If you need to keep it on all night, the lowest setting is quiet enough to not disturb you. If you have used a fan in the summer, then the sound you get from the fan is louder then this filter.

It’s worth every penny and you will be getting the performance where it counts with this little beast!

We bought this hoping that it would work, but not really expecting great results, our dog has an allergy to pollen which has worsened over the last three years, to the extent where she was struggling to breathe properly. It arrived promptly, was simple to get started and we waited, for the first day there was no difference, however, after 24 hours her breathing has really improved, even though she has been out into the garden ( we have it set on Fan speed number one, and is in a room 12 feet by 20 and is placed approx 5 feet from the dog, running during the day only) I have also noticed an improvement in the air quality, within about 8 feet of it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this for a very small office so that it would clear the vapour from the room. I vape mostly heavy VG and even with the door slightly open and good ventilation, needed something that would clear the air.

This unit isn’t the quietest, even on setting one but if I blow the vapour in the units direction it clears it all very well.

Main thing is the filter life, it isn’t long, I got about 8 weeks and the VG clogged it up but you can buy replacement filters from china off ebay for about 9, I have already had 2 delivered and they work great (item number (303502394813).

    Hope this helps 🙂

My son suffers with hay fever to a point where it takes over our lives from May to July every year. everything we do revolves around how it will affect his hay fever. I had thought of purchasing the Dyson Cool me purifier as it was recommended but we don’t need the cooling fan so this model came highly recommend on several allergy websites. I can’t vouch for it being able to take away smoke and cooking smells but it certainly takes away the pollen. My sons room is 4X4m and he shuts himself away in there and can breathe really well. When ever he comes out of his room it takes about 5 minutes for him to get blocked again. He left it on the lowest setting overnight and woke up breathing normally for the first time in 8 years of suffering. I may purchase a couple of larger ones that can cope with bigger rooms so he can leave his bedroom with ease. He doesn’t find the noise too bad and the lowest setting is really quiet.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI found that my hayfever symptoms did significantly reduce after using this, so it seems to be effective at removing pollen. My air quaility sensor indicated that it also reduces PM 2.5 fairly rapidly, but it only has a small effect on volatile organic compunds (VOCs), if this is your main problem you would need a different air purifier.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersedited: added back the star that I deducted because of the bright lights showing the fan speed etc. a kind commenter informed me that if you hold the light symbol down for 4 seconds all the lights turn off! this was not in the instructions – i’m about 98% sure anyway! this is now the holy grail of air purifiers! *insert that holy grail/praying emoji*

This has made life bearable again! I’d wake in the night sniffing and itching, and every morning. It was a nightmare. I’d lived in the city and definitely had hay fever but never this bad – until we decided to up sticks so the little ones could grow up with the expanse of the countryside! – to my own detriment apparently! It took a year of suffering before I stumbled upon the idea of a purifier. Settled on this, thinking if it helped even a bit then I’d upgrade to a vax/Dyson but I don’t think I’ll bother. This works so well.
The ONLY reason there’s one less star is because I use it in my bedroom at night, and there is no way to turn off the “power on” button light, or the light indicating the “speed”. And in the pitch black it’s pretty bright. I’ve resorted to covering them with a sock which sort of does the trick. But honestly – even knowing that I’d still buy it again. If you’re struggling like I was – it’s so worth it. And to boot, my asthma has definitely improved. I’m not even sure where my reliever is right now!!

Wasn’t sure about spending the money on one of these….however, after doing a bit of research I am so pleased that I decided to purchase this air purifier.

It clears the air very quickly and I have found that I have been sleeping so much better and it has got rid of my cough and ‘thick’ chest in the mornings. As our house backs onto fields the air can be quite dusty but since using this I have noticed a marked improvement in less than a week.

The low setting does not keep me awake and I switch off the night light, although some may prefer it on. Really pleased with this purchase!

Since January I have been coughing continuously, throughout the day and night. I been to the doctors, with lungs xrays done, with everything in the clear.. Ive had antibiotics which never helped & all different types of cough medicines nothing helping. The doctors in the end said I’m probably suffering from severe asthma prescribing me inhalers which didn’t help me. I just found out 3 weeks ago, doing research that Im probably allergic to my 2 cats, which I’ve had for 1 year now.
I don’t usually write reviews in the first week of buying a product, just to see how it goes.
But It must be said since I’ve bought this air purifier, it’s truly unbelievable I have stopped coughing completely this is the fourth night now. The air in my room is clean and fresh you can tell the difference.
My cats and I can finally sleep well.

On the highest setting, it can clear out rooms rather quickly. Set on low all night, it makes a big difference. It never is particularly quiet, but it makes sort of a pink noise sound that is a bit ASMR, so easy to have it running during the night. It’s small enough to tuck out of the way as well.

  19. Anonymous says:

I bought this so I’d be able to vape indoors during those times that having a door/window open wasn’t possible and it works great. It sits on the floor and when I’m vaping I blow in the general direction of the purifier – it keeps the room completely cloud-free. It’s not exactly quiet but on settings 1 and 2 I can still watch TV at normal volume.
I’ve had this for aprox 18 months but tho be honest can’t say exactly how much runtime it’s had in that period. I’ve just ordered a replacement filter since the noise level has increased slightly and it sounds like it could be due to the fan having to work harder pulling air through it.

So for years I’d always wake up with sore blurry eyes every morning and moisturising eye drops only really touched the surface of it. I thought I suffered from dry eye syndrome resulting from straining my eyes and needing to stare at computer screens for long periods of time. Until one day I saw an Ophthalmologist whom then told me it was in fact allergies that was causing me to have dry eyes and also the reason why my eyes were so sensitive to everything. Living in the UK meant that for much of the year, the weather was cold and rain was frequent which meant airing my Flat on a daily basis was not possible. Also London has one of the worst air pollution rates so I decided that I wanted something to help clean the air and after trolling through numerous air purifiers I still came back to this one with its staggering number of 5* reviews. The instructions are simple, it’s really fool proof to use and I really liked that you don’t need to change the filter as often as some other machines (every 6-8 months if I remember correctly). It’s a compact design (roughly the same height as a 2L bottle of water) and it’s lowest setting is definitely quiet enough to sleep with. The morning after the very first night of using the air purifier, I was shocked. I no longer woke up with sore, blurry eyes and my need to sneeze when I sat up and clear my phlegmy throat had all gone and the air around me just felt, lighter. Now going to bed without first turning on the air purifier for even a short time before bed is out of the question. I love my air purifier! Just wished I bought the next generation with the built in timer!

Bought two. One for my 15yr old son who gets chronic hayfever always at its worst around exam time so wanted to get it for his room leading up to his GCSEs in May/June. He loves the white noise sound of level 1. Its very quiet and soothing background low hum. Likes the dim blue light but if you want the room pitch black just turn it off. Won’t know the benefits of the unit until it gets to tree/grass pollen release and he wakes up without feeling like he can’t breathe and stuffy – but the room smells fresh come the morning. He only puts it on from 10pm-7am. Its February but won’t know until a few months if this has worked but the air seems purer.

The other unit is for my daughter who has no hayfever but our dog sleeps on her bed all night and is in her room most of the day. Room was pongy before this unit was used and is now completely neutral and fresh. Took a day to clean the air.

Haven’t bought new filters yet but from the info from other reviewers the filter should be changed after 6 months regardless. I have no idea how this will last or how long the filter will last. They look really contemporary, are light, portable and good for small/medium rooms (if door kept closed whilst being used). Will be ordering one for my mother for her bedroom as she has asthma and wakes up wheezy.

I haven’t registered the product yet and don’t know what the guarantee will actually do but will find out. Hope this review helps.

After looking at many different purifiers I am super happy I settled on this one.
I bought this as my child suffers from seasonal asthma, which leads to many sleepless nights (waking 4-5 times a night) I put it on for about 2 hours before bed and I have seen a huge improvement. After using for a few months my child now only wakes 1-2 times.
I noticed the room felt fresh. It felt as if you had walked outside.
There are two settings for the nightlight and even on the lowest setting I find it to still be a little bright. So I don’t use it.
There are 3 ‘fan’ settings. The highest is the loudest, a bit louder than a normal fan. The lowest setting is a bit like white noise, so I believe you could fall asleep to it.
    Highly recommend!

Bought this to help with my other half’s asthma. We have two very hairy dogs (German shepherd and a spaniel) who play a lot, create a lot of dust and hair. Aside from hovering a lot anyway, The air purifier has been a god send. The air around the house feels lighter and clearer, and has helped so much with my other half’s asthma.
We have an old Georgian house with high ceilings and big rooms (5 metres by 4 metres and 3 metres high). The Levoit can purify a room with the door shut no problem. We moved it from room to room and got the whole house clear. Will probably be buying another so that we can have one in the bedroom and one in the lounge without having to move it. As for the hallway which is approximately 10 metres long, 3 metres wide and 3 metres high it’s probably not going to do the job so would require something with a bit more power.

Bought this for our bedroom to see if it helped with sinus, allergies and asthma. Did so much research and was really torn between this and going for something maybe 3 times the price. However thought we would go for this one first, entry level in to the purifying world.

I don’t think that you can see, smell or feel the difference in the air, it’s not something tangible. But when we use it at night my husband has noticeably less itchy eyes, and less sneezing. This is winter time, so very interested to use it in summer and see how it fairs against pollen. It makes a nice white noise, barely noticeable on the lowest setting .

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersIn a previous review I wrote about how I bought the larger levoit Air Purifier (pic3), it was the larger one with remote wifi control, I thought it helped me so much with my sinus infection which I’d had for months and within a few days too it had gone! I bought this model to go downstairs in my study. I spend most of my day in here at my desk, and I was finding although I wasn’t coughing when lay down anymore and my sleep had improved and the air much fresher in my bedroom I was getting a blocked nose whilst sitting down here. So I got this model. No reason I chose this other than I liked the aesthetics of it, it looked a little more stylish than the other which just looked like a box. I also wasn’t sure if I would swap them round and have this model upstairs, but I decided not to as I don’t have carpets etc downstairs so felt the more industrial model would be better served upstairs. I use it every day, I just have it on setting 1, there are 3 settings. I leave the other upstairs on constantly on auto, and if I’m cooking downstairs and frying something I’ll turn the model down here up to 3 to help clear the air. The upstairs one works automatically and comes on with any pollutants sensed in the air. It also has a blue light on this model with 2 settings, 1 dimmer than the other. I’ve not had to replace any filters yet on either, so can’t comment on the longevity of the filter, I may update this review when I do replace the filter. They’ve certainly helped my life with allergies, especially with it being cold at the moment and the house sealed up to keep the heat in.

UPDATE : It’s been approximately 9 months since I bought this and although the change filter light hadn’t come on I’d changed the filter on the upstairs one so I changed this one too. It was really dusty inside. It’s amazing how much they accumulate. I’ve also had no sinus infections since using them. (I’ve included a pic of the dirty filter). I’d still highly recommend this brand.

I loved the previous levoit Air Purifier so much I also bought this model for downstairs

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersIn a previous review I wrote about how I bought the larger levoit Air Purifier (pic3), it was the larger one with remote wifi control, I thought it helped me so much with my sinus infection which I’d had for months and within a few days too it had gone!

Excellent air purifier, it works well but the noise level may not be suitable to many purple. I can just about sleep on level 1, sometimes 2 but the reason I bought it was for my grandson and he can not sleep unless it is switched off. So, we purify the air before he goes to bed for a few hours and this seems to have worked well.

After three weeks using it, I can tell you that worth it!! Its value for money. You really feel the differences in the air quality. It is quiet enough even in the third level of fans speed, allowing you to sleep perfectly well. Worst case, you can wear a pair of earplugs and you won’t notice any noise. Don’t believe those reviewers who say it is noisy and that it does not fulfil its purpose, because that is simply not true. It is a bit bigger than you might think but nothing that you cant locate in your desk. Last but not least, it has a really nice looking, so you won’t feel that is disturbing your environment.

I have bought this a year ago because I have cats living inside and did not want to come home to cat smell. I have a large room and three cats.
It can run the whole day at the 2 speed and does not take too much energy or causes too much noise. My home does not smell after cats when I come home. It can take care of the usual cat smell, does not clean the air after bigger cat litter box accidents. It can also catch some dust and cat hair. It works fine, as expected. When it breaks i will probably try something more powerful, but just because of too many cats and the large room.
The speed 1 does not seem to work for my big room, the speed 3 is kind of noisy (poor cats listening to it for the whole day). If they turn it off it takes like three hours speed 3 to remove the smell.
Just buying a new filter now (after almost a year) because the one I can see does not seem very clean. But I would not know if it removes dust, bacteries or anything from the air. Still seems to work just fine, changing the filter just because of how it looks.
Only issue I see is that i wanted to use it with smart power socket and when it turns off it does not start again after the power socket turns on.
Depends on what people want from it. I only have it to remove the cat smell. Some other air purifiers would probably be more powerful. But it seems good comparing price, noise level, energy efficiency.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI decided to invest in an air purifer after being susceptible to Autumn / Winter coughs/colds & bought this one as it was on SPECIAL at the time.

Initially, I was surprised at how large this is (In my haste to bag a bargain, I failed to check the dimensions) & not sure this can be described as ‘compact’. However, it was extremely easy to assemble & once operational, I felt my breathing became easier.

I first used the device in the lounge keeping the setting on mid or 2, whilst I showered and upon entering the lounge again, the air somehow felt cleaner and the cough was easing.

I then lowered the device to low, 1 and was able to watch TV without noticing the noise. I also attempted to sleep with it on, placed on the bedside cabinet. To me, I found the noise (on the lowest setting) similar to that of an immersion / boiler system. Its not unpleasant & if you’re used to sleeping next to a modern HW tank, then you’ll know exactly what I mean. My sleep was disturbed, due to the cough & I couldn’t work out if the device helped or not. It went on & off a couple times before deciding to leave it on & eventually falling asleep, (possibly due to exhaustion from the cough)…

I will persevere with it though and even if I dont sleep with it on, its a great way to clean the air an hour or so before going to bed. In this instance, I would use the mid 2 or highest setting, 3.

I dont know about the timer function, I’m sure I read it switches off automatically after 8 hours but I might be wrong. The light function works well and can be toggled on/off, bright/dim & doesn’t affect the functionality of the device.

I like it but really need to use it more to establish whether or not it truly works..

    Extremely quiet but rather large

Reviewing after 3 months of use. Got it with a decent discount on Black Friday compared to the current price, but I do not see how the price is justified still, this can be easily recouped by using filters.

If left on, it does work and makes the air fresh, but it is not like it is any better than just opening a window. I think it is useful during winter when you don’t want to get the heat out but it does help to get the smell out of the room after sleep. I am sure it is very useful for people with allergies, pets or polluted air in general. Lowest volume is too loud and it is not possible to be used when sleeping, unfortunately, could used 4th or 5th timer to be even quieter. Light is nice but why would you have it on unless you like LEDs. The timer function is useless, as it doesn’t check the quality of filter but just sets a duration which can vary based on usage.

    Overall, it is good!

I live in a region with very poor air quality and have 3 of these ( in kids bedrooms). I’ve recently bought an air quality monitor and have had our home tested by an air quality expert. His opinion was that this unit is perfect for small rooms, and when tested, the air coming out of it was very, very clean. With the doors closed it cleans the air quite quickly.
I am changing our filters approximately every 2/3 months as they look fairly bad (see picture).
I did have an issue with noise out of one unit but customer service was excellent.
Overall it’s an excellent buy at the discounted price and I would certainly buy it again.

    Great buy, definitely recommended

As I am not allergic to anything it was difficult to know what difference this little machine made. My son in law however is very alergic to cat dander and can never visit for more than a few minutes. He came to lunch on Sunday and stayed for hours with no ill effects! That was amazing. He moved the machine from the dining room to the lounge and sat near it. No wheezing and watering eyes.
The only slight downside is the cold air it blows out, but that is totally outweighed by the purified air. A resounding success. Thank you.

This is a great little purifier that can easily purify a medium to large room.

It has a nice blue glow if desired which I use for my daughters night light. This is activated to different intensities by press of a touch sensitive button or can be left off.

The filter is easy to clean by unscrewing the bottom and either using a hoover, compressed air can or a slightly damp sponge. If using water, ensure dry before you put it back on.

I find best results are achieved by giving the room a quick hoover then putting the purifier on full for an hour or two before bed then put on minimum during the night. (daughters room is 6x5m squared)

Downsides are more compared to other similar or higher priced purifiers (lower priced ones usually sacrifice on filtration)
    No intelligent air purification
    No remote purification
    No timed purification

Only reason I’ve marked it down is, I’d of loved it to have an intelligent or timed filtration feature but it was reviewed best for price.

I put this on full an hour before bed and you can tell the difference when you open the door. I leave it on the lowest setting with night light during the night and it is not whisper quiet but it certainly doesn’t disturb. I’ve bought a second for the living room and it’s frightening the amount of dust it is filtering out. I vacuum the filter every so often and haven’t had to replace a filter yet but at 25 euro I won’t mind when I have to. Do know about smell reduction as we are not smelly but for air quality it seems to make a pleasant difference without a hike in the electricity bill. If you live near traffic I think it’s essential. All those bloody diesel particles

I tend to put this on in the night when I’m going to sleep, I leave it on the mid setting which isn’t that loud so its easy to sleep through. You can dim the blue light on the top easily in case that distracts you from sleep and when I wake up in the morning with it being on all night I can tell the air in my room is a bit clearer. I have asthma so it’s nice to wake up some mornings and feeling like a breathe clearer. This purifier is a decent size and you can tell it’s doing something due to the force of the air outflow on the top and what it catches in the filter at the bottom.

We have only used this only for a couple of weeks but have already seen the difference and it was so easy to set up. The fan levels are fine, I start on 2 in the lounge and switch to 1 after an hour or so. I leave it mostly on 1 in the bedroom. My husband suffers with allergies and he has been coughing and sniffing so much less and getting a better nights sleep. I can see less dust on the furniture, it usually starts to gather within a day but I cleaned the surfaces 5 days ago and there is hardly anything gathering on there. We recommended to our friend whose son rarely slept through a full night due to sniffles but she has said that he has slept right through since they have installed one in his bedroom. I brought two while they were on half price and I am so glad I did, this is the best purchase I have ever made. Yes this is a glowing review, I speak as I find.

I bought this as I suffer from hay fever & allergies…was fed up not being able 2 breathe at night.as soon as it arrived I set it up Left it on number 2 shut my bedroom door 4 a couple of hours.on re entering my bedroom you could certainly feel a cooler air hit you…..I slept all night on number 1 found it very quiet just like a background tide……perhaps !! I am a very light sleeper but I could sleep with it on…1.. all in all I would certainly recommend it if you suffer from allergies… My bedroom is only small 10/12 & has no airholes Its not perfect but it certainly has helped me …. I think you will have 2 persivere 4 a few nights while you get used 2 it either that or pay full wack for a much more expensive 1…..

I bought this largely to help me to stop sneezing! A combination of dust and pollen I suspect was causing me to have hay fever type symptoms. To be honest, at the start it did not seem to make a lot of difference but after a while, 2-3 weeks, the symptoms eased and have not returned. The house felt fresher too though unfortunately the furniture still needs dusting! The fan is quiet on the 2 lowest settings. The top setting is louder, not unpleasantly so but too loud for comfortable sleep. I move it around on a small tea trolley which works well in a bungalow. Overall I am quite happy with the purifier. It gets 4 stars, losing one because I think it and the filters are expensive.

My son has had very bad hay fever ever since the spring, much sniffling during the night, so after doing some research I plumped for Levoit LV-132.

From the very first night it was on in his bedroom he had a very settled and restful nights sleep with no problem with his breathing and no more sniffles.

The fan is set to the lowest level during the night and we consider the air purifier’s fan to run quietly, not noticeable at all with my son dropping off to sleep with in only a couple of minutes of his head hitting the pillow.

Overall I consider the LV-132 to be an excellent air purifier and thoroughly recommend it to anybody who has either hay fever or asthma to help with their breathing over night and to get a far better nights sleep.

Both my husband and I seemed to have developed allergies lately and wake up a lot sneezing with a blocked nose for about a year. We also have two cats but we have had them for twelve years now and rehoming them isn’t an option. We live on a busy arterial road with lots of traffic. Also, my area has had and continues to have regeneration works going on. I didn’t know if this little machine could help at all but thought it worth a try. I’ve had it since Saturday, it’s now Monday. I put it first in the front room for a couple of hours on 3 and then to 1. The effects were immediate I didn’t feel so blocked, definitely better. I then put it into our bedroom for a couple of hours before we went to bed and neither of us woke up sneezing or feeling blocked up and that’s with one of our cats sleeping on our bed – I know, but he will only scratch at the door -. I’m really impressed. I’m now going to try with leaving it on all night in the bedroom on number 1 it’s very quiet on that setting. We do live in a small one bedroom flat and its ideal for us but you would definitely need a bigger model if you have bigger rooms. There is a night light but that can be switched off. Do remember to open the bottom up before you switch it on because the filter is in a plastic bag that needs to be removed. In my excitement, I nearly forgot to do this. Overall I’m really pleased with the product. Of course, it’s early days but I will update review if I have any problems, but so far very hugely pleased.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis Levoit Air Purifier looks well made and is about the size of an average domestic wastepaper bin, it comes with a filter and clear instruction leaflet plus a 2-year warranty. I ordered the black finish which fits into the decor of most rooms quite well.

There’s a blue LED nightlight with two levels and an off feature. One slight issue though is that you can’t turn off the quite brightly illuminated control buttons. There are three fan settings, and, on the lowest, it’s very quiet, even on the middle setting it’s fine for us during the night but may not be for others. Selecting the highest fan speed increases the noise a bit more but it’s still fairly quiet. There’s also a filter replacement light which comes on when it’s time to change the filter. Filters can last up to 6 months depending on use.

We use this in the bedroom and have found we sleep a lot better with it. The filter seems to trap quite a lot of dust etc. and the air does feel genuinely fresher. One thing I’d have liked (and accept it would increase the price) is some kind of air quality monitor that could automatically switch the unit on and off when air quality fell.

Overall, so far, we’re pleased and think this unit represents good value for money, however, we are wary of some concerns about the long term reliability of the unit although it does have a two-year warranty.

TL:DR: I do recommend this product. Pretty quiet, nice aesthetics, improved asthmas conditions=good performance.

Prior to setting this air filter up in my bedroom, I was struggling with my asthma on a regular basis. Many nights having to turn to my inhaler for relief in the middle of the night.

Since running this air filter, my sleep has improved, my symptoms have drastically reduced and I find myself needing my inhaler significantly less.

It’s fairly quiet on the loudest setting. If your room is dead quiet, you’ll notice it otherwise it’s pretty non-intrusive in terms of fan noise. I think it looks fairly nice considering the size of the unit. I’ve had others that just look like an old computer case(tower) and they weren’t appealing but required to be always visible. The blue LED light on the top is a nice addition which I think can double as a night light. Mostly I turn it on by accident when reaching for the fan speed button in the dark, then think to myself “that’s a nice light.” Most importantly, it has made a major impact on my breathing and health which was the sole purpose of buying it. I would recommend this product.

Bought this as a lightning deal some months ago. I wish I had purchased sooner! I was troubled for years by a persistent tickle cough, which disappeared within a couple of days of starting to use this air purifier. I can only conclude that my cough was caused by a dust allergy, and if only I’d known, I could have saved myself a lot of discomfort! I find it gives off quiteo a bit of light, even with the night light function switched off. It doesn’t bother me, but husband grumbles about it. It gets noisier as the filter approaches end of life. Other than that, I’d say it’s one of the best things I’ve ever bought, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Really fantastic piece of kit. I purchased it due to a recent diagnosis of mould & dust allergies. As a seasonal hay fever sufferer, it’s also been a god send for the dreaded hay fever season, which for me usually starts mid April. I usually sleep with it on, on setting number 1 the quietest of the three settings. It’s important to know that it’s not silent, you can still hear it. I liken it to being in a hotel room and hearing the dull background noise of the internal cooling/air conditioning systems. I’m quite a light sleeper and my bedroom is quite small, and I manage to sleep through the purr of the purifier.

The light function is very useful if you’ve got a large dark room that you might just want to have a night light on in the room.

Having used it now for the past few months, I’ve noticed a mark improvement in my sleep patterns, less interrupted nights and not waking up bunged up or with a heavy head.

The only downside for me is that the lights (the red power button) on the purifier are a little bit too bright for me, again as a light sleeper I found it illuminated the room too much for me. However the overall performance and effects of this purifier more than makes up for the minor downside for me.

This purifier is ascetically nice, affordable and extremely easy to use.

Bought this because I saw a lot of good reviews on it, and I’ve not been disappointed. We use it in the bedroom overnight because my dog has asthma. Since using it her symptoms have dramatically reduced. Not only that, but my partner and I have been sleeping better as well. Living in an old Cornish cottage as well, we are struggling with some black mould in a corner in our room, but since using this that has been a lot less of a problem as well. I’m super impressed. I like that it has a night light feature, although we don’t use it, I think it’s a nice touch. The 3 different settings are good as well, we’ve only been using it on the 1st setting because it is the quietest, and you can barely hear it, and it’s been doing an amazing job as explained above. Really happy with my investment.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI have placed the appliance on one side of my desk. My bedroom is super small and extremely dusty. We also have four cats that like to roam across my room to reach my window a lot which sends visible fur and dirt flying into the air. I have really bad asmtha and wake up with a throat full of mucus and stuffy nose. I also always have an annoying odor to my room which isn’t a great addition to the list of problems. So I finally decided to pick up one of these air purifiers to see if it would actually work.

The product arrived a day earlier than expected which is great so I set the thing up and the first thing I notice is that the appliance actually looks very minimal and nice which fits the theme of my room. After removing the packaging from the filter I powered it up and I found there is quite a lot of noise a bit like a drowned out waterfall so it’s not too bad but that’s just on setting number one. On settings number two and three the machine gets so loud it’s like a jet engine.

After a while my chest felt kind of tight and I assumed it was because I had the machine right next to me so I moved it to another corner of the room but that could have just been in my head. I have not really noticed any difference with the amount of dust in the air but I do think it helps a lot with dissipating excessive deodorant spraying and the smoke from my parents cooking from the downstairs kitchen. I do think this machine is too powerful for my small room as when I wake up I no longer have mucus throat but now I have dry soar throat and I need to drink a bit when I wake up to relieve it. I think the machine is giving me the dry throat because I don’t wake up like that when I have the machine turned off. Maybe I’ll experiment more and post and update in future because I’m still not too sure on this one. :L

Update: I’ve recently had a small problem with the product and their customer services fix it in light speed. They were so responsive and helpful. What makes a great product best? Trust! If a company offers a hassle free after service don’t look out for pennies and settle with something cheaper. Levoit basically stand behind their product and that worths every single penny you invest their product.

I’ve bought this as a present to my husband. We are both smoking and the smoke in the living room has started to disturb him and cause tear drops. The purifer made a significant difference. It’s working all day until we sleep. I use level 2 or 3 in the mornings then level 1 all day. The air is changing in the living roon and you could breathe easily even 2 smokers in the room. But definetely it does nothing for the smell. Smoking is a strong factor which can create lots of smoke and smell. I’m glad this machine has decreased the effects and increased our comfort level. Especially in the winter when you can’t open the windows constantly this machine turn our living room more liveable. Also the noise is very low in 1st and more in the 3rd level. We don’t even notice the noise in 1st level as there are other common noise such as tv, but it may disturb a fussy person if you use it while you’re sleeping. As night time is extra quite and could make litte noises more crisp. Overall nice product.

The customer service help and support is fantastic. I have 2 of these air purifiers (one in a bedroom, the other in my living room). Blue light option but I dont use as this is quite distracting. 3 speed selections. the Low setting provides a whisper quiet noise for sleeping time. Five stars would have been given but for the cost of the replacement filters. Perhaps the seller will do a double pack or tripple pack to get cost down. The air purifiers are in use 24/7 so time will tell how long the filters last. I’ll update when the filters (fitted in February 2019) need changing.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSuffer with chest problems this time of year? I didn’t want to share this until I was sure. But for 2 winters in a row it has worked. For over a decade every winter – normally January – I got a severe chest infection. 3 or 4 years ago it was even pneumonia. I suspected it was allergies as well. I’ve never had allergies but am a bit old nowadays GP said possibly trees in January. But I also suspected mould. We got some black mould now and then. Have had a humidifier to remove moisture for over ten years but that has only reduced condensation. So before last winter I purchased two of these. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and reviews for these were good. For 2 whole winters in a row now I haven’t had so much as a cough or a sneeze! No chest infection. I have now just purchased two more for every room in the house even though one up and one down has seemed fine. But the upstairs one was in my room. My daughter sleeps with me a lot but my son doesn’t and he has had a bad chest this winter. He gets recurring croup. So now I’m putting one in his room. I highly recommend these. I have a lot of pets too so danden, mould and all allergies reduced by these amazing things…. I saw people allergic to cats and dogs even getting these to keep their cat or dog and say it’s worked. I was doubtful but now I do not doubt it at all. I highly recommend. I was going to spend a few hundred on a bigger one but have been so impressed with these I’ve just ordered one for each room now. Will stick with what has proven itself.

After a prolonged period of time waking up every morning with blocked up sinuses just after a couple of days I started to notice the difference. The dust level in the bedroom has significantly reduced, there are less smells and the air quality is noticeably better.

It is an attractive, compact, modern design that’s incredibly easy to set up and use. So far after a month of usage I’ve had no issues. It has the added benefit of slightly cooling the room also.

The only thing to make this a more attractive item would be the addition of an automatic mode. I would recommend this product and I would buy it again.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI bought this product after a young cat was abandoned by it’s owners and i couldn’t let it starve. I am highly allergic to cats but love animals so I couldn’t entertain this animal being homeless. After a few weeks of suffering with having a cat in the house I bought this air purifier and it is amazing. You need to leave it on the highest power for 2 days and then can reduce it but the results really are amazing.
    I hope this helps.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersNeeded an air purifier for my bedroom after getting pet rats as they have weak respiratory systems and can’t handle dust. This worked perfectly! The filters last ages, even when being on almost constantly, and you can really tell the difference to air quality.
Good size, looks nice, and even the night light comes in really handy.
My rats don’t sneeze now and even I feel a ton better. Can’t recommend this enough.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersDevice ordered and delivered swiftly by Amazon, recent changes in their policy now dictate that even as an Amazon Prime customer you need to be at home to sign for the item, as they will not leave in a safe place, although I expect you can request delivery to a neighbour. Amazon now show a ‘Signature must be given at delivery’ on ordering expensive items.
I also ordered 2 filters at the same time as I can see from previous customers that there have been times when the replacement filters were out of stock.
I bought this as my old air purifier is very old and I am unable to get replacements, plus that was noisy / and larger and didn’t deliver much.
This item is a narrow tall cylindrical tube, the air filter (carbon and hepa) are installed in the base via a rotating turn and unlock cover, all you need to do is unlock the base, remove the filter/hepa from the sealed bag and replace it back exactly as it was before then lock it again stand the unit upright with the buttons on the top, plug it in and away you go.
Controls are simple, power on/off, light on brighter, dimmer or off, speed 1/2/3
Pressing the light button for 2-3 seconds will turn off ALL leds, so it is in total darkness useful if you find them distracting when sleeping etc. The purifier is useful for a bedroom / medium room, but a bigger unit would be needed for a large room.
Speed 3 is slight noisy, but levels 1 and 2 are quiet enough to not distrurb when sleeping, powering off the unit and powering back on will also use the settings from when powered off, so there is no need to keep setting it again.
I have found the item very useful in my bedroom and due to the amount of dust and particles that can come from my bathroom, it keeps the room fresher and the air cleaner.

Recommended.. very nice unit and very pleased.

Future enhancements would be nice with the addition of a remote control.

This thing is great. I’ve never really felt the need for an air purifier before, but when it was on offer i gave it a go.

Came quickly and just needed a tiny bit of set up to get the filter in place. As others have commented, its noisy on full blast. And the light isnt for everyone. But for us, the noise has replaced a white noise machine we had in the bedroom, and the blue light (on its lowest setting) just lights up the room enough that trips to the bathroom in the dark dont require any other light.

We keep it by the side of our bed, and it stays on all night. Both the wife and I have both commented that we wake up feeling fresher than before. No coughing or sneezing. We both feel like we’ve had a better nights sleep.

My one complaint would be that it works so well! It acts as quite a powerful fan as well. So in winter when the rooms are cooler, it feels like its blowing out cold air at quite a rate. We’re currently trying to relocate it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve suffered from pet dander allergies all my life, and since getting a dog who, due to anxiety, has to sleep in our room, I’ve suffered nightly for the last two years.
I’ve never had a good night sleep and as soon as I entered the bedroom, allergy symptoms would begin.

Since I bought the air purifier and installed it in the bedroom, I’ve been able to walk into the bedroom without any allergy symptoms. My nose is clear, my eyes don’t stream and I can breath clearly. You can definitely feel the change in air quality going from the hallway to the bedroom!

If you struggle with allergies, then this is the piece of kit for you. I can’t rate it highly enough, absolutely outstanding.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought one of these speculatively to too if would help my breathing during the night as my nose always blocks up when I’m asleep, pretty much due to our four cats – and even after three operations to try and resolve the problem – I’ve now bought a second one…

The first one is in the bedroom (where else) and even on its lowest setting there is a visible difference in the air quality in the room. I’ve positioned it at the foot of the bed so its sucks air away from me then sends it out of the top of the unit across the cieling and back down towards me to breathe…

Needless to say I’n not having to use nose sprays or anything similar before I go to s;leep to help me through the night, and my random sneezing episodes are pretty much long gone.

The second unit is in the lounge which is a bigger room and thats set on level two and is having the same effect… I would recommend this kit to anyone with a similar issue…

My husband works away for 6 months of the year and noticed that whenever he was home he would wake up congested and not feeling great. Weird we thought, what’s in the bedroom that isn’t in the other rooms that he sleeps in? (an offshore installation). I came across Leviot and the idea of air filtration and decided to give it a go. I’m pretty blown away by the difference it makes! I never considered myself allergic but i clearly was reacting to allergens too (in a fairly mild way). Having this on a 1 through the night means the air feels fresh and pure and there is no congestion. My other half isn’t snoring anymore (result) and feels 100% better on waking. We are both sleeping soundly too. It’s all been a bit of a revelation to be honest. I would highly recommend, even if you don’t have extreme allergic symptoms, you’ll surprise yourself. Having it blasting at 2 or 3 before going to bed is ideal and then on number 1 throughout the night. The fan is quiet and I find it lulls me to sleep. It is on the big side for the bedroom but it looks ok (don’t use the light but a nice touch) and for the job it’s doing it is worth every bit of its footprint! We love it.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersWe purchased this for a bedroom, which has the usual gadgets TV and Games Console, these are dust magnets and although the room is cleaned on a regular basis dust just seems to appear which was the reason for purchasing the Levoit Air Purifier along with cleaner air and to reduce allergens.

I have owned the device 2 weeks now and I have to say the results are very positive, after 2 days of operation I noticed a reduction in sneezing, dust is not accumulating as quickly and from just 2 weeks of use the filter has captured a fair amount (see my pictures).

    The Pro’s
    – 3 Operating Modes which suit all occasions, setting 1 is perfect while sleeping, setting 2 is great for day time use and when I leave the house I change to setting 3 which is louder.
    – Ability to turn off the blue light when sleeping is a great function
    – Results after 2 weeks of use are positive
    – Reduced sneezing and waking up in the morning with dry throat
    – Easy to set up
    – Well built product and doesn’t look out of place in the bedroom

    The Con’s
    – Although one of the smallest devices on the market its still a fair size, placing it in the room which has a power outlet can be tricky, it requires a certain distance from walls to operate efficiently
    – The main blue light can be turned off but the power button and speed still light up regardless this does bring some light into the bedroom

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI very rarely write reviews and I was quite sceptical when I bought the air purifier, but having gotten a partner who is allergic to my dog I figured it was worth a try. And now after about two months of having it on, I think I can say that it does make a positive difference. My partner’s allergy is much improved, she sneezes less and her nose is less stuffy and the eyes are almost not irritated anymore. I don’t think I notice much of a difference in the air quality myself though, the air does maybe seem lighter, but judging from my partner’s reaction something positive has happened to the air quality 🙂

The machine is very easy to operate and not nearly as noisy as I expected. It has three different settings, I have mine on the medium setting most of the time and although you can hear it, it is a noise that doesn’t stand out as such. When it is on the lowest setting you can almost not hear it. There is also a blue night light option which has two settings, but I haven’t used that much. The filter was easy to install, just make sure that you actually remove the filter from the plastic bag it is in 🙂 There was a thin black activated carbon filter which I wasn’t sure if it belonged to the filter itself or if it was there to protect the filter, but turns out it was part of the filter itself.

All in all, from an allergy perspective this was a good buy. Granted not all people react the same way, and my partner’s allergy was not severe but light to moderate.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersThis purifier does seem to remove a lot of dust, pollen and other allergens from the air. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and when I move it, even after a few days, the surrounding area contains lots of particles. I have certainly found my allergies have reduced (including hayfever which was quite bad) since using this purifier. I live near a main road so goodness knows what the pollution level is.

For a small purifier, the result has been rather impressive. I just need to get another one for upstairs lol.

There is a blue light that is supposed to be a night light but its a bit dull for real use.

But very glad I bought this, and would recommend it for anyone with allergy problems.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersUse it often, most days, for a bit. It’s not like walking into a fresh spring field but it clears the air noticeably and I find it will reduce some odours and the air feels better for my lungs. I give the room a blast after using the vacuum cleaner which needs sorting it produces a horrible musty smell. I feel confident knowing it will deal with mould spores and other nasties. Room is about 15′ x 15′ x 15′, it doesn’t take long to process the air in the room on setting 2 or 3. Maybe an hour or two on setting 1. I balance off the speed setting with how quickly I want the room cleared and the volume of the fan. It’s very loud on 3, 2 is okay for most daytime use, I can sleep with it on setting 1 but if I’m sleeping light I’d rather not. Not a problem as I’ll use it before or after sleep if needed. Bought a spare filter as I’ve had it a while now about 6 months I guess, but the replacement indicator hasn’t come on yet. Supposedly you should get 6 average months but based on the number of hours and my usage pattern I reckon my replacement will stay in the cupboard for a few more months yet! Maybe I’ll update this review when that happens. It’s well made, it’s a very good price, the only negative or neutral is the bright blue LED light on the top, I suppose the design looks better for having it as even when off it looks better than a blank white plastic top, but the light is rarely turned on it’s kind of pointless. Another thing is you can’t put it on a wall timer, but I’ve not found that an issue in practice. Great product!

Golden Review Award: 153 From Our UsersI had been researching buying an air filter with my son in mind who suffers from asthma. Particularly in winter months with the colds and viruses around. Dust is also a trigger. I was looking for a Hepa filter not one that uses ions to purify the air and the levoit filter seemed to fit the bill. At the price it is cheap compared to other filters but
The quality seems good. In part the price is due to the fact that the filtration area is relatively small but that was fine for us as it is for a bedroom. It also means it is very compact – again perfect for a bedroom. It has 3 fan levels and I use the level 3 highest level for an hour or so before bed and then have it at level 1 all night. At level 1 you can barely hear it so it doesn’t affect sleep. There is a night light with two levels or you can have it off. My children like it on. The filter is very easy to fit and remove. After just a few nights I could see that my boys were sleeping better and it is immediately obvious that the air quality is better when you go into the room from outside. Neither boy now coughs at night. We felt it was so good we bought another for our bedroom and I sleep better than ever. It would be interesting to know the economy of running the machines but it is worth it.

Golden Review Award: 184 From Our UsersThis is a review after three months use of this air-purifier.

When it was first out of the box and set up it seemed to make an instant difference – or atleast the fresh, clean smell from the activated charcoal component of the filter certainly gives that impression on first use.

What this small unit is up against: Neighbours who chain-smoke 24/7 (As a neighbour, when you smoke in “your” home you also smoke in “mine” because smoke spreads out and diffuses into everything nearby – even through small cracks in closed and doubled-glazed windows – if you smoke please consider your poor neighbours who may actually be suffering terribly), mould and microbes from neighbours whose place leaks into mine, other nasty air pollutants, road fumes, occasional cooking, dust, ect.

The first thing to realise is that this unit can only really cover a small area – maybe a small to medium-sized room, so a home-wide air pollution problem is beyond it’s capacity. And as far as the size of each air-pollutant particle – some are simply too small for it to capture (I have previously used an ionizing air-purifier that is more effective overall as it claims to be able to capture air-pollution particles down to a smaller size through the air-ionizing part – but the amount however little, of ozone that it produced was enough to trigger airway inflammation and asthma, so unfortunately that model self-excluded itself).

    PROS
It’s small and lightweight and doesn’t take up too much space – the size and shape of something like a small waste-paper basket.

It’s controls are very simple and intuitive and very responsive to simply touching your finger to the control-face.

It’s not too expensive (as long as it remains reasonably priced it’s worth it).

It’s quite quiet – but if you like absolute silence then it may distract you at full setting, on the other hand if you have noisy neighbours it may help to distract a little. I found it okay.

It seems to do something, which in a badly air-polluted home is still a help.

It has a blue night-light that has three settings: bright, dim, and off.

You can also switch off all of the function lights (if you need absolute darkness in the room), by simply pressing and holding the light-bulb button for three seconds, and then simply tap the light-bulb button to switch them back on if you want.

    CONS
Although it’s not too expensive it’s still money and costs quite a lot.

The principle cost will be – as with all air purifiers – the replacement filters, and if the price climbs much then it doesn’t become worth it, so it’s price can easily make or break the deal.

The filters appear to lose their effectiveness in about a month here. I felt that at some point it wasn’t helping at all and maybe even adding to the problems due to the filter being “full” and I imagined that being saturated past a certain amount it might even harbour mould or something (but this thought would be true of all filters and makes and models that I know of), and although I ran it for about 77 days, I think that it was doing at least something worthwhile for only about a month, this could possibly be stretched to six weeks but that would really be it – after that the filter needs changing, at least I found it so *see attached photos where I compare the filter used for 77 days to a brand new one unpacked and ready to go, also note that the outer filter (not pictured) was removed and washed and dried several times over that time as dust built up on it’s surface turning it from black to grey*

Also the seal on the “old” filter seemed to shrink or something as I noticed a little gap between the outermost edge of the filter (which is ringed by some foam material to provide a snug-fit) and the inside-edge of the unit itself – I noticed it because of how snugly the new filter fit in as compared to how more easily the old filter came out – so perhaps the foam edge ringing the filters may shrink over time during use?

I sometimes noticed dust build-up all around it even when left on the top setting. However, I do not remember if this was also true before the month or six week mark.

It only covers a small area and it’s air-flow is not very powerful.

Overall this unit started out struggling valiantly but relatively soon became overwhelmed.
I have been unsure if I would purchase this again, but at this time I think that I would, but only just. Ideally I would have two or maybe even three spread out and change the filters about every month. This does quickly become an expensive prospect so there’s always that to think about as the bottom line.

Golden Review Award: 104 From Our UsersI have an allergy to dust and when I read the Levoit air purifier was one if the 20 best products purchased on Amazon I looked into it. I received the Air Purifier on the expected day. The following day I removed all the packaging and switched it on, It was that easy. I left it on the number 2 setting for an hour and then number 1. Straightaway I felt a difference in the air in the room. I am writing this as have had a much longer deeper sleep than I have had for a very long time and am able to breathe more deeply. I should say that I left the air purifier on all night. I first of all had the night light on the dimmer setting but found it emitted too much light for me, so turned it off. It would however be great for a child’s room. I want to thank you very much for this great product. Hopefully I will get years of use from it.

I have 2 cats and I do suffer from hay-fever. It was pretty terrible, every morning waking up with a blocked nose and having to wheeze to catch a breath. Honestly it was so uncomfortable.
But I’m glad to report back that I now use it every night in my bedroom and I haven’t had an issue since I received it.
I am now looking at also purchasing the bigger unit for my living room

My parents have a cat which is how we discovered I was allergic and nothing has ever helped when I stay there I get really really unwell. Every. Damn. Time.

We brought this on a recommendation from a friend and I was skeptical as I had tried so many different type of things to stop my constant asthma attacks, stuffy nose and constant eyes streaming, let alone sleeping. I used this the whole week I was at my parents and I slept all the way through the night, no waking up not being able to breathe, no allergic reactions and no getting sick when I arrived home.

I would definitely recommend to anyone who has any issues with allergies or asthma follow the instructions and breathe.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersI never really wanted one of these but in late April I started an attic conversion. Even though I’d kind of sealed off my bedroom from the rest of the disaster, the dust got in and I sounded like I had a permanent cold. I’m really happy with it, but also realise this is the first air purifier I’ve ever used.

I got the first of these in May. Simple to set up. Remember to remove the packaging for the filter!!!! There are stickers to remind you, but the filter is installed but wrapped. You need to take it out, unwrap it and put it back in. A friend did not know this for his air purifier (not sure which brand) and ran it for months wrapped.

The next day after running it full blast I could already notice the difference. And it’s been running full blast ever since (it’s now August). I got a second one a month ago to run in the new upstairs. The building work is done but there’s still a level of dust in the air. This has kept it in check and not only made breathing easier but also reduced the amount of dusty surfaces.

They say the filters last for a year, but my first filter only lasted five months. But those were extreme conditions.

My one annoyance is that twisting off the bottom isn’t easy. It seems to get a little stuck. But you only do it rarely, so not a huge issue. It comes with a nightlight thing, but honestly never use it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt works. If I have it in my bedroom at night, I don’t cough in the morning. If I don’t, I do cough. There aren’t many smells around here to get rid of so I can’t comment on that, but it definitely gets dust out of my medium sized bedroom. Same thing on my study, though that’s less dusty. The bedroom is about 15 m.

I sleep with it in my bedroom with it on the lowest setting. I live in the country with absolutely no ambient noise so strictly speaking I can hear it, just, but there’s now way that it will disturb my sleep. On the higher two settings there’s a bit of noise but it’s not much, similar to a ceiling fan. A bigger one would probably be quieter. I’d take off half a star for this if I could but no more

It looks pretty well made, The touch controls are reliable; only had it for a few days so can’t comment on its reliability.

Golden Review Award: 326 From Our UsersThis air purifier is amazing! We’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I’ve noticed our toddler isn’t rubbing her nose as much as she used to. We bought this as I am having going to be having chemotherapy next month and we wanted to minimise dust etc in the house – we checked t last week and the amount of dust in the filter is crazy! I never thought it would capture so much from one room. Great product and would def recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy grandparents love company but due to a rat that had died in their kitchen in a difficult to reach space behind the washing machine the stench was unbearable. They had tried to mask it with multiple air fresheners around the room but this only made it worse.

In the end I couldn’t take any more of it and decided to but something that would deal with the problem more effectively. This product was recommended by Amazon and was also on Prime delivery. Ordered Saturday evening and was delivered Sunday afternoon.

The Levoit has been sitting on top of the worst area and the result is incredible. After an hour the smell was about 95% gone. We will leave this running until we get the washing machine pulled out and remove the dead rodent.

Setup of the device was very quick and simple.

If you have any pungent smells that you want to go away quick, get this.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve never owned an air purifier before so I have no point of comparison. I bought this due to frequent dust and dangerous pm10 particles covering Cyprus every spring. The dust normally makes the room feel stuffy and this product does help in a decently noticeable amount. It also helps with eliminating odours such as chemicals from home cleaning products which I’m sensitive to.

It has a high quality build with a nice touch screen panel. One side of the fans at the top seems to be weaker as indicated by another review but I don’t believe it affects its function so much. For the price, it’s a decent device, I’d recommend it over a 400 air purifier unless you have serious allergies.

It really takes time to know if these type of devices really work and after three months using it I can now say that it actually does improve the air quality, not just in terms of feeling fresher but also after checking our air quality monitor.

At first I was a little sceptical and wasn’t sure whether what I was feeling was the air cooling effect of the purifier but after using it for long periods (continuously 24-48 hours), it really makes a noticeable difference.

We have a friend who suffers from a dust and pet fur allergy and they were able to stay the night in the house without suffering after we had run the purifier in each room of the house for a day or so. They could barely last a few hours in the past before really suffering.

We are now lucky to have two units, so obviously we can clean the air in two rooms simultaneously (we often use one in each of the children’s rooms), but it also makes a huge impact when used together in our sitting and dining room. While I am not sure what the size of these rooms is exactly they are big rooms and having both purifiers going together means you notice a difference in a few hours as opposed to overnight which is great if you want to get rid of dust (this is an old house so there is a lot of dust!), and food smells quickly!

All in all I can safely say that I am impressed with these units which dont take up a lot of space and can be left to run, quietly away in the background keeping the environment cleaner and healthier for everyone.

I was sick and tired of my husband’s vaping smells all around the house. My bed smelled of coffee vape, my sofas smelled of coffee vape… I could go on. So I ordered this wee beastie. Now… I cannot say how well it clears the vaping smell, because pretty much as soon as I ordered it, my husband took to vaping out the door, so the house no longer has the vape fog circulating. His vaping has really dropped off, so I can thank this air purifier for halving his habit, with no obvious ill effect.

What I CAN say about this unit is that it is a very nice size, light enough to carry around. It’s very quiet, and the replacement filters seem reasonably priced and easy to source, compared to other units of a similar price. As to whether the air has been purified, I don’t have pets, children or allergies, and I no longer have the vaping issue. So you would need to look to other reviews to find out if it does the trick. But I will still use it during winter to keep the house fresh whilst the windows are not opened on a regular basis.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersThis is not a performance review. I bought this to reduce asthma problems and after running it for two nights in my bedroom there is slight improvement that I hope will increase, too early to say, really. Anyway it seems to be a good quality manufacture and on setting 2 it is not over noisy. It is quite compact. I like it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersUpdate (May 14th): Levoit sent me a new unit and it’s working great so far. Excellent customer service!

Update (April 27th): The fan is now starting to make a weird rattling sound every few seconds. It sounds like something is coming loose. HIGHLY ANNOYING.

First thing’s first; I don’t have allergies so I can’t really comment on how effective it is in that area, but it works quite good for the purporse that I bought it for, which is to get rid of old house odor(s) and get rid of airborne dust. It performed beyond my expectations in these areas. The air is feels so much more fresh and it only took a day. It has also helped my stuffy nose as a bonus and my camera does not detect dust in the air anymore 🙂

Noise levels 1-2 are very acceptable when you’re in the room (I actually sleep next to it when it’s on 2, 1 is barely audible unless you are right next to it), 3 is too loud for me in the long run, but if I’m not in the room I turn it up to 3. Naturally when you turn the speed down, it’s cleaning effictevines will also go down. Make sure you lock it properly, otherwise it will be noisier. The unit does have a high pitch noise when turned off – So I just leave it on all the time. It’s actually a 3-in-1 device which serves as an air purifier (obviously) but also as a white noise machine and night light. The night light looks quite good and isn’t too bright unless you stare right into it. You can dim it and turn it off too of course.

I’m not sure why, but it seems to not blow air through half of the top airflow ring. I removed the filter and it blew through just fine. With the filter in, it sort of blocks one side. See video for details.

All in all though, I’m very happy with my purchase. I just wish it didn’t have that high pitch noise when turned off and that it actually blew air out properly (but it must be due to the filter). Oh and it comes with a UK plug AND an EU plug which is really nice! No more adapters!

Solid 4 stars from me. Used it a week and will continue doing so.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSo far so good! I set it up (easy) as soon as it arrived., purpose of purchasing was because of an incident with one of my cats……and I am anxious to have no untoward smells….
Other reason is that I have been suffering with my facial skin with an allergic type of raised itchy red dry rash. My dermatologist tells me after patch testing , that it is something which I put on my face(skincare etc) I am not convinced and have researched myself, as to other things which cause allergic responses. I hope the air purifier will help with that.
I have had nasal congestion for about four weeks, especially in the eve….don’t have a cold.
I noticed last night, that I could breathe,I have placed the purifier in my hall and my house is your normal 30s semi, so the hall stairs and landing are average size. Doors are all open to beds and lounge, dining and kitchen.
Yes so far, worth the money! Thank you Levoit!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWow. Just wow. If you’ve never tried one of these before then all I can say is .. go for it. I chose this product after reading the reviews and judged it to be a good product for a more affordable price. I wasn’t sure I needed one. I can’t believe I didn’t try one sooner. Here’s my story.
I have about 2 months of terrible hay fever in the summer and am intermittently slightly snotty the rest of the year. I wouldn’t label myself as “having allergies” as such. I keep a clean house – carpets and tiles- don’t smoke and have a short haired dog. I sneeze and snot when I clean something really dusty but not normally. I have windows open when I can, but I live in a town to need to close them when I’m out. And also in evil pollen season I can’t sit by an open window at dawn or dusk.
When this arrived I plugged it in in my kitchen to see if it worked. My kitchen isn’t really dusty I wouldn’t say. I set it on high then went and did some things and – wow. After only about 20 mins I could tell the difference. The air was clear. That sounds weird. It seemed clear before. But this was clean-clear, cool-clear. My nose was clear too. I hadn’t noticed it wasn’t but you notice when it’s normal again!
It’s really quiet on low setting & I reckon I’ll be able to sleep through as a light sleeper.
I’ve looked at other types when choosing this product, others have air monitors that switch the filter off when the air is clean and other gizmos like UV filters. Personally, I don’t need UV bacterial cleansing. I don’t think I suffer from air bacteria! I think I suffer from dust, pollens, dander, chemicals in the air that make my nose react. Also, the price of other models was prohibitive. I think this was a well priced quality item.
The only con to these (in general) are the cost of future filters. But to be honest that’s a price worth paying for this clear cool head feeling I have within 1 day of purchase. Can’t wait ’til hay fever season and see if I get a good nights sleep for the first time in years without waking up uncomfortable and congested.
This is my first review. That’s how impressed I am.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI done a lot of research on air purifiers and went for the Levoit due to its good reviews. I bought in the amazon sale and I have been running this unit for 2 weeks now, my pros and cons are –

Very nice design, modern and good quality build. Don’t think it’s too big as some reviewers have mentioned, check out the size with a tape measure first.
Lightweight and easy to move about if required.
Fan noise is quiet enough to sleep through on setting 1, on setting 2 and 3 through the day causes me no problem.
I had two cables, UK and European plugs, both cables are nice and long and come in white.
    Controls very easy to use.
Filter easy to take out and clean. A full replacement is recommended every 6 months but I am yet to find out where and how much, I’ll research when I need one.
The one and only gripe is the blue night light, it has 2 settings and even the dimmest is too bright in a dark room but it looks nice in the day time.

But does it clean the air? I live in a bungalow and have this unit in the lounge/ open plan kitchen and when I cook a greasy smelly fry up I find that this definitely clears the air albeit after about 1 hour on fan speed 3. Before I had this unit the smell would linger all day even with windows open.
Most nights when I sleep I get bunged up as I have many allergies, I placed this in my bedroom an hour before bedtime and set the unit to number 3 and then reduced to number 1 when I went to bed, I woke feeling a lot better and found I didn’t need to blow my nose first thing, something I would normally do. I would not say that it makes the air smell like a beautiful spring morning in the countryside, it just makes the room smell clean without odours. For me this unit is worth the money and highly recommend.

Its quite an attractive item although bigger than I expected. I’d say the size is around the same size as a waste paper bin, I was expecting something more the size of an Amazon Echo. That said it works really well and the touch sensitive buttons are quite nice. The night light is a nice feature too, so it’d be quite a good addition to a child’s bedroom.

As for its effectiveness I have mine running and the air does seem noticeably fresher and cleaner, although its hard to actually prove that i guess. I’ll keep using it for a few weeks and see how I go, as i suffer from asthma I’m hoping it’ll make a difference to my sleep.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad it for a couple of days now. It does the job, but, there are so many missed opportunities for a well-designed practical device. First: the nightlight: this is BLUE! Blue lights cause wakefulness, red light does not affect the brain so much. Second: operation: would have been nice to have a small remote control, I have to get up from my chair/out of bed to change the functions (I am elderly). Third: the power supply/controls: It is impossible to run this off a timer. Now that is the main and a crazy drawback on such a good little device. Also when it comes on it is at level 2, why not level 1? If it did operate from a timer it would come on at level 2 which is useless for a bedroom where people are sleeping and it needs to be level 1.
Update: Now learnt to live with it. I think it’s smashing. Never use the night-light.
After using it 24/7 in the living room and not really sure about it I moved it to the bedroom overnight. On level 3 when I started to get ready for bed. Turned it down to level 1 when I got into bed. The surprise came the next morning when I walked into the living room! It STANK (urban environment and windows overlook busy road)! Couldn’t live without it now. It goes between the living and the bedroom on a daily basis and starts off at level 3 while I get ready and then to level 1 for the rest of the time. I also now shut the windows when I’m not in the room altho I hate shut windows.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersRecieved this yesterday so it’s early days but so far I’m very happy with it. Have always wanted an air purifier so did some research and found this good looking best seller on Amazon. Ticked a lot of boxes for me so decided to get it. After only recovering from a flu and suffering with coughs for a long time I’ve become so concerned with the quality of air in my home especially my bedroom. Tried it out straight away in my bedroom for few hours and my room didn’t have any damp or food odors anymore. I share my room with my dog so it also cleared his odors too. After running it during the day for few hours, the air in the room felt and smelt clean, I haven’t slept so well in a long time. Pleased so far and it looks very aesthetically pleasing, very stylish and modern, fits in with my all white bedroom. Size wise wasn’t a problem. I find it to be a decent enough size and it doesn’t look too flimsy you can tell it is well made and it was packaged well. Very light to carry and move around. At first, I thought the clearance allowance on all sides would be a problem as my bedroom floor is quite limited but I now sit it on my desk (with a depth of 80cm) beside my bed so that solved the problem. I tried it on during the night on a low setting but turned it off 15mins in. The sound was not too distracting (I’m very sensitive to noise), but personally I don’t like having any electrical appliance running on through the night in my bedroom so I will more likely be using it during the day. The only downside is having it on during the night in winter, it can get a bit cold (it emits a light cool breeze from the top essentially like having a fan on in your room) however I can see it would be nice during the hot summers. The fact that the filter needs to be changed after a minimum of 6months (depending how often you use it) is a great saving on running costs – no need to buy so many a year. Overall I am happy with it, great value for what you get compared with others on the market and would reccomend it to friends and family. Also considering to buy it as a gift, it would benefit everyone, clean air, better health.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersEvery Saturday when I get the chance the to lie in because of no work or other obligations, I used to get the sniffles as if it was a schedule. Sneezing, running nose, swollen eyes and throat… The whole lot. Even after cleaning my bedroom multiple times a week this problem continued to occur so I invested in an air purifier to help with that as it ruined my weekends off. I’ve had this Levoit Air Purifier for over a month now and since buying it, my weekends have been relatively sneeze-free. It does exactly what it says on the box, pumps clean air into my bedroom and reduces the dust I see floating about.

I am a light sleeper and the fan on the lowest doesn’t disturb me at night, but during the day I do have to slightly raise the volume on my laptop or TV when watching shows. But it’s not an annoying noise that you get sick of, thank god, it’s more like light background white noise. In terms of the air it pumps out, it does make my room feel cooler at night when I have it on but I imagine that’s because of how close it is to my bed. It also gets rid of odour pretty well. I’ve had lethal curries that have left a noticeable stink but the air filter dispersed that in a matter of minutes. The light on the air filter is pretty useless for me personally, even with the night light off, the buttons of the filter still light up your room at night.

I would recommend this particular product if you need it for a small space like your bedroom. It has helped me relax immensely.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt is large but then should perform better than a small unit but it recommends a clearance space of several inches all around it. Ideally therefore needs its own pedestal in the middle of a room. Mine is on a bedside table so one side is perhaps too close to the wall than recommended. Also I loose space for my morning cuppa. Noise wise I liken it to white noise so focus on it and it will send you to sleep. My wife says she thinks it is always raining when she wakes it is not a throbbing fan noise rather a hiss swish. The air quality in the bedroom smells cleaner less dusty so for that we are glad and my wife is asthmatic so it must be a help.
