Love this monitor. I’m used to a two monitor set up so this is awesome to have on the go or anytime away from my desk. It is light, easy to install, great picture quality and perfect for working on your lap with a lap desk or table top.

This is fantastic! I received the monitor today and I just love plug and play technology. USB-C connection, display settings and you are good to go in less than 30 seconds. Love that I can view a document instead of using the ‘alt-tab’ technique. It is especially convenient when working on 2 spreadsheets at a time.
This was sort of a game changer for me. I work on laying out books at home on a laptop and I need to see book edits while working on the layout. Having a second monitor changed everything. I can see the edits on the second monitor without having to switch layouts! My only complaint is that the monitor is a little flimsy when you pull it out. That’s not really a big deal for me, though.

I was fine using laptop with one screen here and there but after I stated doing it full time I decided I needed the extra screen without having to go to my it every time. I love love love this. It was super easy to attached. I can take it on or off as much as I need to. It makes working from home so much nicer! You just plug it in and go. No software to download…which is good especially when using a company laptop that doesn’t allow outside software. Screen quality is very good.
Love my Pixel. It really had a big impact on my productivity when working on my laptop. It is easy to use. I bought the version with the display stand so I can also use it as a free standing display. My only suggestions relate to weight. It is heavy enough that when the display is not extended, it can cause your laptop display to lay flat. I found that it is better to (easily) remove the pixel when I am not using it. I look forward to a version some day that has a touch screen. Overall I highly recommend this for those who working on a laptop and need the portability.

I am a teacher doing distance learning. I used this for 1 week and discovered I couldn’t do my job as well without it. It is super easy to set up and use. Make sure you read all the directions first as far as placement goes. Once the magnetic circles are on your computer, removing them is very difficult.

I bought this screen to increase productivity for online class or when I’m multitasking/gaming. I’m really happy with my purchase. The set up was easy, my computer didn’t have USB-C, but it came with USB 3.0 cable which is the one I’m using. I didn’t need to install display link, since once I plug it in, the driver was automatically configured.
I used this to get the duel screen for my laptop but still be “mobile”. Homeschooling kids and working from home so I need to be able to work in whatever room I’m called in to this was easy to install and works perfectly.
As a teacher, this is the perfect addition to teach hybrid and remote students. Since it attaches to the laptop, I can fit it on my cart, unlike a full 2nd monitor. It also allows me to see my full presentation and all of my students at the same time. No more switching tabs or trying to cram everything into one small screen. It was an easy install on the Chromebook; just plug it in and wait one minute.
Unfortunately, I did have to buy this myself (it was not from the school or a reimbursable purchase), and I recognize that all teachers are not in my situation, but if you’ve got some stimulus left over, it is worth it.
I purchased this product about a month ago and it has definitely served its purpose. I am able to attach my work laptop (ThinkPad) easily with this portable monitor. I previously had dual monitors at both my office and my home and now this product has allowed me to work more easily from my truck. The picture quality is equivalent to both my office and home monitors (Samsung models). The Duex is also lightweight so that is a plus. I carry around a lot of bulky electronics throughout the day and this is easy to throw in my bag or carry in my arms. This product is a plus if you meet with clients or present to coworkers. The screen rotates so that you can share with anyone sitting across from you. My only thoughts on improvement are the magnets. They aren’t as strong as needed for the product. They need to be stickier. Overall, I would still recommend this product to anyone that is searching for a portable monitor.
I liked the on side scene, it worked great. I wanted to try the one screen first to see if would fit my needs. Once I saw how great it worked, I wanted to go to both screens on either side of the notebook. I am up to the trio now.
It’s a great thing to have! Amazing use and and… I just freaking love this thing! It’s so amazing! Though it requires for the laptop to be on flat surface and the screen needs to rest on the flat surface as well. That was a problem for me as my laptop is elevated with a RGB stand with fans. But I worked things out with it!

I’m a very busy graphic designer, so having a portable display is efficient and effective for my line of work. The screen is awesome, nice, and crisp. It looks professional, not clunky, it’s light and it fits nicely with a Mac Pro 15″ and an HP Envy 17″. Word of advice: Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly, it’s crucial to set up the screen. Sometimes if the screen a little higher gravity even with the magnet works its magic, it will come down. Therefore make sure you are not in a car or anything that moves too much. It’s a great product that helps anyone with a busy workflow. Students if you read this, it’s extremely helpful for essays and research. -Thank you.

I purchased two of these for Christmas. One for my laptop & one for my husband’s. Both are 15.6″ laptops.
These were easy to install & easy to setup/use.
I noticed some negative reviews about the magnets & was concerned. We have had NO issues with them. When the monitor appears to “move” when you put it in/out, all you have to do is re-align the magnets. Ours have NOT detached & they work perfectly. They also come with “extras” so if you want to use on a 2nd laptop (or need to replace) you have plenty.

My laptop is the HP Envy with Intel i5 7th gen and 256gb SSD. Super easy to install. I was able to use it immediately. Picture quality is sooooo clear! One thing I did notice is it tends to get hot when kept inside the case so better to unplug it when not using.
I have a simple macbook air. it is perfect. it comes with the proper cord. just follow the directions and your all set. I would recommend to anyone who has too small of an apartment and doesnt have decent home office space. or anyone who frequently travels but needs to work. love love love!
I have been wanting one of these to use for work, graphics and just general senseless browsing of the web. I have dual monitors at work and wasn’t really using my laptop at home much because I was spoiled by having the dual monitors. It makes things so much easier. The quality is great! This is a must buy!

-The monitor picture quality is amazing and is better than my 14″ laptop screen.
-It fits great on the back of my netbook and the monitor can be flipped 180 deg to the back to duplicate my screen to share something.
-Does not drain my battery too bad. My netbook normally gets 6 hours, with this on it gets around 4 hrs (depending on brightness), but having a second monitor is amazing!!!
Dislikes:
-Due to the extra weight on the back of the screen, I just make sure to pick the laptop by the monitor instead of the keyboard base, but it is not a big deal.
-A few times the monitor will lag, but that could be because of my laptop lagging down or the drivers, but it rarely happens.

Great product and addition to my laptop, while working from home, without having to use a lot of desk space with extra large monitors. I do have to an empty glass case to prop it up when it is open since it is heavy. Install is easy, I highly recommend it.
The Mobile Pixel Duex Pro works just like the videos and pictures show. The screen is light enough not to be cumbersome while transporting it but large enough to give a decent amount of useable space. The magnets are easy to attach, although it would be nice if they included a template cut out to show exactly where they should be attached.
The product does require drivers to be downloaded and installed before you can use the screen. The included instructions make it sound as if the drivers launch automatically and do not mention starting the downloaded app, which is why it gets 4 out of 5 stars. Once I found the app and launched it, the screen turned on and has operated beautifully.
I move around my building all day, and have previously been frustrated by not being able to connect to my extra screen. This solves those problems! Easy to set up and connect, lightweight portability. Cord is a little bulky, but manageable.
I just ordered a new 15.6″ mobile workstation to compliment my desktop graphics/cad dual-monitor setup. I had been looking at extra display solutions for the new mobile setup to replicate my main workstation environment and be a lot more productive with the added real estate. Most of the reviews on the Duex Pro were positive so I decided to order and test it out. They include enough of the sticky magnetic discs for multiple installations so I’m actually testing it out on an older 13″ HP EliteBook until the new build arrives later this month.
Driver installation is required but honestly not bothersome to me, fast easy download/installation. Once installed and plugged in all I needed to do was tweak the Win10 display settings to arrange position and rotate (flipped landscape). I’m actually running the Duex on the left side vs. right side typically seen (personal preference).
This is definitely a good investment for my workflow and honestly makes the laptop experience infinitely better for getting real work done IMO.
The screen clarity and brightness go nicely with the main screen, and I’m definitely happy with the setup.
I would absolutely recommend this product to my friends and colleagues working on the go.
The picture quality is better than I expected! I needed a second screen to use for when I travel, and this is a great solution. It’s compact and affordable for my needs. I also like that the screen can be protected when not in use!

The portability is awesome. Using it when we work remote from the camper, home office or hotels. Being able to move from one location to another without a major move of monitors, cables and such is great. I bought one for my small work laptop and am going to buy one for my 15″ laptop, too.
I work in the field a lot and stay in hotels regularly. I always hated doing work on the laptop because it’s so hard when you are used to two large screens in the office. This is a life changer! So easy to install, and I didnt need any drivers. My company’s laptops are locked down pretty well and this didnt require a call to our HELP Desk for admin rights. (which they probably wouldn’t have allowed any outside drivers anyhow). Really happy with this. Installed in minutes. Wish the cord was a bit shorter for convenience, but that’s no big deal.
I have long had two monitors for my desktops at home and at work. I find the dual set-up indispensable and found the singe monitor of my laptop too constraining to the point that there were many projects I put off until I could get to my desktop. That has recently changed with my purchase of the Duel Pro. I have spent the past week using it before writing this review. The response time is instantaneous when I click or type, and the image clear and crisp. I did have to change the default scale to a higher percentage to enlarge the size of text, etc., but I had to do that to my laptop as well. I can now work on a manuscript on one screen while having a PDF reference open on the other, for example.
I will admit that the first screen I got from Amazon was defective and the screen remained blank. I worked with Mobile Pixel support to resolve the issue, but eventually had to make an exchange. The second monitor has been working great and is the one I am reviewing. Oddly, it will only operate on the USB A, not the USB C, but that is not a big deal. I am operating the Duex Pro on a HP Spectre, which has both USB A and C, purchased earlier this year, so I don’t know what the issue is with the USB C. I did discover that the monitor must be disconnected when the laptop is shut down or put in hibernate because the back of the monitor stays warm showing that it is still drawing on the laptop battery. That is probably a laptop issue rather than a fault of the monitor. When unplugging the Duex Pro, the image immediately jumps to the laptop screen so that nothing is lost. Good thing since I once forgot to save before unplugging. I do like that the monitor can either be attached to the back of the laptop or operated with a stand, giving me great flexibility to where I want the monitor relative to the laptop. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase and give Duex Pro a five star rating.
As an addendum added a couple weeks later, I have not noticed a significant decrease in battery life. I admit this was always a concern in the back of my mind.
This is great to have a small add-on monitor for when I work from home. It was so easy to attach to my laptop. I travel for work and this product works great for having an extra screen. The quality is great. The price was good.
I love how simple this makes my work-from-home set up. I can easily move around my house without compromising the amount of screens. Since this monitor is slightly smaller than my laptop screen it did take some adjusting but overall would recommend!

I bought this as a secondary monitor that I can travel with or help me work outside the home like a coffee shop. It was easy to install and light weight for traveling. It has good quality and I’m happy with my purchase!
Although my monitor on my laptop is 15″ and with Windows I can “snap” to see two things side-by-side, it’s never the same as having another window to look at. This is the best purchase I ever made as someone that doesn’t always work at their office desk!!!
PROS:
* It’s always with you. You don’t have to pack and unpack it. It’s always with you attached to the back of your monitor. The only thing you have to remember is the plug that goes form the monitor to the USB of your laptop to power it. I will say that one side is USB-C and the other is USB. I have NOT tried this but wondering if you could use a cell phone charger plug in a pinch.
* You can adjust the brightness. I personally like my monitors low so adjusting the brightness is critical for me.
* You can share it with others. In the box there are multiple sets of magnets that you can put on other devices so you aren’t tied to only using the monitor on one machine. Great for someone like me that has multiple machines.
CONS:
* You will need a spare USB plug on your laptop since you’ll need that to power the monitor. Not really a con since any monitor needs power but if you don’t have a spare space then it could be.
* The magnets are not that strong to hold the monitor on. Mine slides slightly when working with the laptop on my lap and not on a table.
Overall, this is a great purchase. I’d would definitely recommend someone purchasing one.
This is a great monitor. I waited to leave a review so I had some time to use it. It’s fabulous! I love that I can completely turn the screen around to show someone a presentation or just let the granddaughter watch Netflix while I work! The kickstand did come with my combo and is a must use as it is kind of heavy on your laptop if you open it too far. My metal plates have not come off as seen in another review and I take the screen on and off all the time. Great product and will recommend to everyone!

This is a great product if you’re constantly multitasking on a laptop! The image quality is great and allows me to spread out my work and increase my overall productivity. It’s easy to take on and off and isn’t too bulky and awkward. This is just what I needed.

For anyone having issues with the magnets I was able to get them to stick fairly well. I placed them, then set my laptop upside down with a little added weight to keep them pressed. I left it there like that for the rest of the day. No issues now.

I was actually going to return this item, thinking that it was really an unnecessary expense. I decided to try it out anyway and I am glad I did. Having 2 screens is extremely helpful with a significant decrease in going back and forth to different tabs resulting in increased efficiency. I am definitely keeping this monitor. Very easy to install and no issues with it at all.
I was pretty skeptical that a few magnets would a) stick to the back of my laptop and b) be strong enough to hold onto the additional screen when it was fully pulled out.
Well … I’m happy to say my skepticism was misplaced. This is a pretty remarkable product! The magnets stick beautifully and hold the screen with no problem in all positions, yet the whole apparatus is still easy to remove in a second by sliding it off rather than pulling it off.
The instructions say you should support the screen when pulled out by resting it on something, but honestly that seems somewhat unnecessary; everything stays in place without that. That said, my critique would be if it needs a support — give it one! Something retractable on the edge could do the trick. The other main thing to keep in mind is that obviously this adds more weight to your laptop cover than the hinges are intended to support, so the laptop screen will naturally be more “floppy” with this attached. Since it’s so easy to remove I don’t see this as a huge issue, but be aware of it or your laptop could flip over mid-meeting if you’re not careful!
Love this monitor!!! I’ve tried others but have failed because my Mac is a 2014 and only has USB type A. This monitor was the first to work and I love it. If I need to remote in on the go to get work done this will work perfectly. The installation was a bit funky and took a minute, but I’m also not very tech-Savy so that could be why. Screen is on the small side but it will do! Thank you Mobile Pixels for making a portable monitor this old Mac user can use!
My laptop was only 14″ which was great for business travel but I haven’t been doing much of that lately, so I was looking for more screen space as I like to take the laptop out to the backyard. Instead of buying a larger laptop I purchased the Duex Pro. Took about 10 minutes to set up, easy instructions. Which gave me a lot more screen space than a larger laptop would have given me.
I had been debating whether or not to get a separate monitor for my Service Pro laptop. While I think it would benefit me in terms of productivity, the second monitor might differ too much from my laptop in terms of monitor size and height. When I came across the Mobile Pixels monitor I thought I should give this a try, and I’m glad I did. The monitor sits perfectly side by to my Service Pro as a separate monitor and it does not feel out of place at all. The resolution of the Mobile Pixels is great, and having a second monitor helps tremendously when I am working on my coding assignments. I would recommend this product.

Having been working from home for the past 7 months I was becoming jealous of my wife’s kitchen table workspace where she could spread out with a portable second monitor. My desk is narrow and there is no space to sit a monitor down on the desk. I looked and looked online for a solution and came across the Duex Pro. I thought it was a very innovative device. The more I read about it and looked at the Youtube videos, the more I liked it. The installation was pretty easy if you go to the two URLs and download the drivers. After using it for a few days, I don’t know how I lived without it! The idea that I can have 2 screens where ever I go is a game-changer. Well done!
My job requires a multi-screen operation, and this is a very helpful product that allows me to experience an efficient and neat work platform. Will recommend it to my colleagues. My laptop is a MacBook pro – compatible with this system and the installing instruction is easy to read.
I really like the small size of the monitor because it helps me store and transport it more efficiently than having another monitor. Definitely recommend this if you have any classes or work calls through skype or other programs because I can have my work on my main screen and colleagues on the other.
This has made my job so much easier and has increased my productivity. I teach from home and it is very difficult to show PowerPoints on Zoom while lecturing. No more minimizing screens and moving the visual of my students around so I can see my notes and let the tardy folks in the meeting. This is truly one of the best tools I could have bought myself. I needed a dual monitor to travel with me and this fit the bill. The screen is a bit smaller than my laptop but it has great quality. The only thing I and nervous about is the plastic frame it slides in and out of. This has been a fantastic addition to my remote work station amd exactly what I was looking for. Others have mentioned issues with the magnets coming off but I haven’t experienced anything like that and they have been stuck in place since the beginning. You do want to make sure the screen case rests on your desk or table as the instructions state to take the full pressure off the magnets.
Bottom line: if you’re on the fence, there is no need. Just get it! You won’t regret it. It’s a fantastic product that I can’t work without now.
Great product! I chose to get the optional kickstand so it sits next to my laptop. Easy set up – download the software , plug it in, set your device in the display system setting – done! I chose not to attach to my laptop because I did not want to add magnets to my laptop. Perfect for travel.

Works great, but for some reason, I thought that it would fit perfectly on the back of my laptop. The unit is slightly larger but the screen is perfectly aligned with my laptop screen.
super easy to travel with and small to fit in a back pack. The magnets to attach dont work great, but the team was nice enough to send me a stand. Also, I was having trouble settng up the screen and they spoke with me on the phone and were very very helpful!

Positive points: 1. The screen is light enough to travel with, which was one of the chief reasons for buying this over other options. 2. I like the potential of using it as a display screen for presentations. 3. Once set up, it is very easy to use.
Negative points: 1. The instructions for how to set it up are confusing. (The manual conflicts with the 1 pg instruction insert in the box.) 2. Sometimes the screen goes black momentarily but comes back; and there have been times that the cursor just freezes, again only momentarily. 3. The 2nd screen displays slightly smaller than the main screen. But, one gets used to this. 4. My brother found his screen slightly blurry.
In the end, the 2nd screen is super helpful for work, so I would buy this again. For those who don’t have access to a 2nd screen, it is a game changer.
If you are on the fence don’t be. This product is easy to use, easy to install, etc. My only suggestion would be go for the display stand if you are using it at a desk. The screen is a little heavy and the computer becomes top heavy. other than that it is great!
Love it. Needed an extra screen to work while bed ridden after surgery that would fit easily on my laptop bed-table. This was perfect. For those complaining about the magnets…I used 3M backing on them all for easy removal later and a secure hold however, the magnets themselves will slide against each other when carrying the unit due to the screen’s weight even though it’s pretty lite. So for extra security when transporting, I used Hyper Tough Velcro Removable Picture Strips (very strong & as easy to remove as 3M-will not scar or damaged your laptop or new screen). Two on the top & two on the bottom. You don’t see them & let me tell you your new screen won’t budge until you want it to!
Honestly, I had seen this type of product advertised in the past and thought, surly, there has to be some issue.. as in, I thought it would either not work with any laptop or it would be flimsy or bad quality of image, I surely was wrong.
With the new environment of working from home, I found the need for a second screen, and as I work on a laptop, it would be difficult to say the least to walk around with an actual second screen. Not only that, most laptops now don’t really have the ports to connect a second screen. Most thin laptops have either one usb-a or usb-c port. So when I saw that this secondary screen comes with both cables and a stand on itself (for those like me that do not want to attach it to the back of my laptop with the glued circles and leave marks later on.
There are many things to like, the full swivel is super cool, the image and color is great, the easiness to install (no need for a cd) is modern and quick, and the flatness that allows me to pack it away with my laptop for travel… honestly, I’m so happy I went this route!
Not only has it helped me in being more productive, I am already considering buying a second one for me and a third as a gift for my partner who will start working from home soon.
Considering other options, I think this one offers more at a lower price than competitors. If I were to offer one improvement, is that once you pull the full screen from it’s holster in order to use the screen stand, I found myself lost for a second on how to fold it back in (just cause it looks the same on both sides). Once I figured it out, it’s smooth sailing!

From breaking open the box to having the monitor in service took less than 10 minutes. It would have been faster if I didn’t take a coffee break. Very well written instructions with links to the appropriate drivers. Visuals made the process easier. Screen is solid so far. This isn’t going to be your screen for Photoshop, but it is great for having the Office suite.
Build quality feels great. I wouldn’t throw it around and expect it to hold up, but I feel confident it will be able to live in my mobile office (backpack) for the foreseeable future.
I am currently a sophomore in college, and I have to say this as one of the best things I have bought to help with my work. Having the ability to keep my papers on one screen and do research on another has helped tremendously. I would highly recommend this product to someone who is a student to boost their productivity.
Followed the directions, which were helpful in making sure I downloaded the correct driver and waited for about 10 seconds for the monitor to power on the first time, and it worked perfectly. So much more convenient than a separate monitor not attached. Love it!
Most important investment. I do not have to sit at a desk to work with 2 screens- now I am able to work off my laptop. This has made my work more productive and easy to carry. Can do presentations at the customer’s place without looking for hook up to show my work. The accessibility of showing the customer on the laptop has made it really easy.
For work, I travel to other sites often therefore not able to do a lot from my home-base and this 2nd monitor has been a game changer. It’s not perfect quality, but it’s way better than working from just one small screen. Absolutely love it and I get SO many people asking me where I got it. Great product.
The Duex Pro has expanded my productivity tremendously while working from home during this pandemic. Easy to install and set up. Highly recommend for those who travel for work and need access to an additional monitor.
Wow. This has solved all of my productivity problems while working from home this year. I have a very small workspace, with no room for a large secondary monitor. The Duex took care of that. Easy to install, with more than decent screen quality.
It works as expected. My only issue, so far, is the screen does not remain in position but continues to slide downward. This should be fixed for the future designs. If you buy this version, be aware since this device may slip unexpectedly. If not caught on time, it might be damaged.

It’s really east to set up and has really helped me add a screen to my laptop without having to have a full sized monitor.
Really improved my productivity
This auxiliary monitor works well once it’s set up. If you plan to use it on a Windows laptop don’t pay attention to Windows when it tells you it is setting up the device and no drivers are necessary. That’s not true because I believed it and it wouldn’t work. Just follow the directions exactly as described and it works like a charm.
This is exactly what I need while traveling and working from my laptop. Screen seats nicely on the laptop, secured by strong magnets and small metal plates. I am very happy with this purchase.
This screen is a game changer for me. I needed a double screen because I travel between four different schools and have to do a lot of paper work. It works great with both my iMac air and my Lenovo. The magnets are strong.
I had been thinking about adding a second screen to my laptop, but never got around to doing it. Mobile Pixels Duex was my choice, after reading several product reviews (of this and other screens). I’m very happy with it, overall. Drivers installation was relatively easy, once I found out where to download the right one for my current Mac OS. Magnets have been working just fine, as after reading other reviews and questions to the seller, I let them set for a few hours after attaching them to the back of my laptop. I purchased this for my 2018 Macbook Air. Attaching the screen to the laptop was extremely easy. After installing the drivers it was a very simple setup. Once I got it all dialed in it has been seamless. Definitely recommend this product for working at home or even if you want to surf while watching Netflix at the same. time. Also, it’s very portable!
