Used these for the first time a few days ago and they are brilliant. So much faster (and cleaner) than the other methods I’ve been using. I used 3 on my Weber chimney and I think that was overkill. Really got the charcoal briquettes going super fast. REally happy I got a massive box of these because I dont ever want to use anything else.

Good value, clean and easy to use
These are so useful, we use 2 for our stove, which is quite large so a smaller stove would be OK with one. They burn for a surprising amount of time, long enough for the kindling to catch, they smell nice and are neat and tidy to store. Highly recommend.

Huge box of natural firefighters – great value for money. They look like little bundles of straw and wool doused in wax. Simple to light and they burn for a decent length of time, so no problem getting charcoal or the wood fired oven to catch. Very little smoke or scent, so perfect for cooking on the bbq or pizza oven.

Perfect for Pizza Ove
Bought a new Pizza Oven and couldn’t get it to correct temperature and wood (supposedly kiln dried) created smoke and annoyed the neighbours. Found these and they’re perfect. Occasional log gives off some smoke but in general, they burn well and the oven now works as it should

So so much better than smelly petrolium based alternatives.

Great for lighting the wood-burner – no smell like you get with a paraffin block. I use two at a time with a little kindling and large logs straight on top. So far every fire lights beautifully with no more attention necessary.

The photo shows the fire in my pizza oven approx two minutes after igniting with three of these firelighters, which I probably overdid, I could have managed with one or two. The absence of foul smelling chemicals is also a bonus, no smell on your hands and of course even more important, it doesn’t affect the food. I haven’t tried them yet on the charcoal BBQ, however I’m confident they will last long enough to light the coals. I thoroughly recommend these to others.
On a lighter note, I noticed another reviewer mentioned they were ‘short changed’ and got fewer than 500 in the box, so I counted mine. There are 507 so perhaps I got the bonus box.
