You only need one firelighter to start your stove fire, excellent product would recommend.
Fantastic, cleaner, quicker and no smell unlike a firefighter. Using a couple each time I light the coal fire, along with the usual amount of kindling, had no problems with it getting through.

These are great 1 or 2 gets a good fire going for the night. Great to have in the living area as there’s no odour, totally natural, won’t do much harm if dogs or kids chew them by mistake
Not tried for bbq but id say they will work a treat when the rain stops
I use these firefighters in my life burning stove. I find them easy to use , clean burning with no sooty residues left on the glass door, long burning and very effective fire starters.
Bought these a while ago but only started using them.
I only need a couple to get my fire started, so im really pleased.
I think this is good value for money, as previously i had bought a couple of packets from wickes and they were more expensive..
So im happy with my purchase and will be on the lookout for another good deal when these start to run low.

Have been using waxlings for years and recently decided to give these a go. Despite the fact that theses are more irregular and sometimes smaller in size compared to waxlings, they are not so tightly packed so light my fire first time every time. I find that waxlings are so tightly compressed that they can be hard to light without having to squash them to open them up a bit. If you don’t do this, they can go out and you notice 15 minutes later that the first hasn’t caught which is a pain.
I have in wood burning stove and open fire and these are great in both, and will definitely buy these again.

Delighted with these eco firelighters. Had always used newspaper in the past, but these are much cleaner in the fire, and just one is enough to really get things going. A box of 500 should last me about two years, so they’re excellent value for money, and they help keep things environmentally friendly.

Because they are natural materials, they don’t leave a horrible petroleum smell
If you are using good dry kindling then you only need one of these to start a fire. They burn well and for long enough to get your fire going.

Great firelighters. I’ve put 5 stars for scent because I’ve noticed little/no odour with these, which is a plus for me, as I hate the smell of conventional paraffin firelighters. Would definitely recommend these. I use 2 firelighters to light my 5kw stove but could probably get away with using 1 only.
Been using these for while now and I’ve never needed to use more than one each time I light a fire in a wood burner or multi-fuel stove. They will last a long time, good price and no nasty smells on the hands after use.
These are actually nice and easy to use to get fires up an running. Was really impressed with how easily they get going but more importantly how long they stay alive for. Couple with good kindling and some kiln dried (its all going kiln dried soon anyway), and your up and roaring with ease. Will be buying again.

Used these for the first time a few days ago and they are brilliant. So much faster (and cleaner) than the other methods I’ve been using. I used 3 on my Weber chimney and I think that was overkill. Really got the charcoal briquettes going super fast. REally happy I got a massive box of these because I dont ever want to use anything else.
These are so useful, we use 2 for our stove, which is quite large so a smaller stove would be OK with one. They burn for a surprising amount of time, long enough for the kindling to catch, they smell nice and are neat and tidy to store. Highly recommend.
This is my fourth box of these, probably different sellers but the product itself is brilliant, easy lighting, no strong smells and can be stored for ages without loss of ignition etc. The only slight disadvantage is that you get left with a few strands rather than whole little party sausage size logs at the end, but just throw them in and they light the same as usual. Perfect for igniting some kindling and a nice lovely fire!! Enjoy!
Huge box of natural firefighters – great value for money. They look like little bundles of straw and wool doused in wax. Simple to light and they burn for a decent length of time, so no problem getting charcoal or the wood fired oven to catch. Very little smoke or scent, so perfect for cooking on the bbq or pizza oven.

Bought a new Pizza Oven and couldn’t get it to correct temperature and wood (supposedly kiln dried) created smoke and annoyed the neighbours. Found these and they’re perfect. Occasional log gives off some smoke but in general, they burn well and the oven now works as it should

These are brilliant and so easy to use on my wood burner.
Been using these in my log burner for a few years now. Excellent quality. One is more than enough to get kindling going. Used them for the first time on the bbq this year too and they worked a treat. Can’t recommend these enough, great value. One box should last 2-3 years if you light a fire everyday for 4-5 months of the year and using them to light your bbq very frequently in the spring/summer months too.

The firefighter are easy to use, we use two to light our wood burner with a bit of kindling and then fox blox compressed wood briquettes.
This is a good, effective product. 4 or 5 are sufficient to start a fire when used in a good enclosed stove.
These are easy to light and are effective in getting a barbeque and hearth fire lit. i even used them to get a bonfire lit too.

My previous supplier of firelighters closed down and as we use firelighters every day, I wanted to find a well-priced alternative. These are more expensive than the traditional firelighters which we used to get, but they are more environmentally friendly and cheaper than the equivalent product sold in the supermarket. They arrived extremely fast, light easily and one is enough to start a fire when used with kindling.

Great for lighting the wood-burner – no smell like you get with a paraffin block. I use two at a time with a little kindling and large logs straight on top. So far every fire lights beautifully with no more attention necessary.
These are just the best. I’ve cut out paper and use very little kindle now as these do the job on their own – and eco-friendly too! Can’t recommend highly enough.

On a lighter note, I noticed another reviewer mentioned they were ‘short changed’ and got fewer than 500 in the box, so I counted mine. There are 507 so perhaps I got the bonus box. The lighters do vary in size, so I suspect they actually do it by weight, although they don’t state this. I concur with the other reviewer though, they are good value for money.
We use them in our pizza oven. No petrol smells or weird tastes. Just a simple product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
