I haven’t used all the functions of the grill yet but so far have found it wonderful for scampi, steak, chips, chops and chicken (whole, pieces and spatchcocked)
It preheated very quickly and cooked in the time recommended in the manual. I find the probe particularly useful for chicken, though I suggest using a slightly higher temperature and allowing more standing time if the chicken is still chilled.
I’ve used it to brown off the top of gratins, pasta bakes and cauliflower cheese. You do have to be a little careful of the temperature chosen for some dishes that need cooking as well as browning as it can burn the top before the centre is cooked if set too high. So better to choose a lower temperature for your first attempt and increase it next time if necessary.
I was a little worried by some reviews that talked about smell and smoke but experienced none of that.
We’ve moved house and have inherited an old and useless oven so I think that this will replace oven cooking for virtually everything until I get a new oven. My combination microwave is also now obsolete as the Ninja is so much quicker and works so much better in terms of crispness, leaving food moist in the centre.

What did I do without it!!!
I have had this for a few months now and I use it virtually every day. I use all the functions apart from dehydrate.
It has helped us as part of a healthier lifestyle as well as making cooking meals after work quicker too.
So easy to use and the non stick is high quality. I don’t know what id do without it.

Probably the best kitchen item I have ever bough
This really is a revelation, good BBQ-cooked food right here in the kitchen along with just about anything else you can think of: including perfectly cooked steaks and cheese and ham toasties to die for. Youtube is full of excellent recipes to make sure you get the best from it as well. Yes, it does take a fair bit of space on the worktop, but it earns every inch!

The Ninja range are, by far the best small cooking devices. Extremely efficient, simple to use and so easy to clean. I was so impressed by my first purchase of the Ninja pressure cooker that I bought the Ninja Max health grill. A must buy!!!!

Also I grill steaks, burgers and it’s brilliant for cooking sausages. This has never given off smoke or smells and is so easy to clean after use if you soak the containers first. I prefer to steam cook vegetables so don’t really use it for veggies yet.
The enclosed recipe book is a bit limited and I wish it gave information on the roasting option. This would be my only real complaint.

Good buy
Was surprised at how big it is!!! and be warned it’s quite heavy. Have only tried the air fry function so far and the chips came out lovely and crisp. Like the fact that everything is removable for cleaning. You don’t need a degree in rocket science to operate this either. Looking forward to cooking more stuff and experimenting with the different features.
Superb cooking results!
Cooks perfectly every time, multifunctional and very versatile. I’ve now used all the functions and have yet to be disappointed with the results. Dismantles easily and all removable parts go straight into the dishwasher. Didn’t give 5 stars as the fan stopped working in the first week and had to get a replacement. Good value for money and saves putting the oven on for smaller portions.

I absolutely love this, it is so easy to use, I’ve even taught my daughter who has learning disabilities and is blind how to use it. We have made just about everything from full English breakfast to rice pudding, joints of meat to chips, buns to apple crisps it is so versatile.
Game changer!
Absolutely love this and have only used it three times! Reheated last night’s noodles and tasted exactly as fresh, baked chicken patties that took less than 10 minutes! And also baked garlic bread slices which took less than 2 minutes! Only critique is i may have to watch it doesn’t over cook, as I’m not used to the speediness of it!

Absolutely love my Ninja Grill!!! Literally does everything and the meat probe is very handy to get your meat perfect. The grill function is amazing we love it for chicken skewers tastes just like bbq! If your in two minds whether to order take the plunge and do it!
Great purchase
After reading some of the reviews I nearly didn’t buy this machine, but I’m so glad that I have purchased it after all. It is very easy to use and I have to disagree with some of the reviews about it being noisy and difficult to clean, as I don’t find either is the case. It comes with a handy little brush to clean the grill plate, the rest cleans easily without. I have only tried the air crisp and the grill function so far and I am over the moon with the results. Absolutely love my Ninja and can recommend it to anyone!
My best ever impulse buy!
I bought this on impulse when it was on a deal of the day and also had the Amazon pay in instalment offer.
As someone with chronic illness I thought it might make cooking a bit easier but I couldn’t have imagined just how much it actually would!
It’s so good for cooking just how much I need, no bending down checking on things in the oven or ending up with uneven cooked food.
I’ve been so impressed with the versatility and speed of my Ninja plus how perfectly it cooks everything I’ve made so far.
I’ve not yet used all of the functions but even if I only ever make chips in it I’ll consider it a good buy.
I would absolutely recommend buying one of these and for what it can actually do, I’d probably have paid full price.

My Ninja health grill is absolutely fabulous. No more frying anything especially when making a full English breakfast. The grilling plate is brilliant and gives your food that charred look without the smoke. Easy to understand instructions and use. I wish I had invested in one of these babies years ago. I’ve also invested in the Ninja 9 in 1 Foodi and the Hot and cold blender/soup maker. I love my Ninjas

The Ninja cooks food very nicely and makes cooking super quick and easy. You literally cannot go wrong with this.
This device gets very hot quickly and cooks like a breeze offering much functionality. The added temperature probe really helps with your longer roasts and the reminders to turn/flip your food is great.
After all your food is cooked, everything can go into the dishwasher. It’s also really easy to clean without a dishwasher.
Oh so simple.
My absolute favourite thing about this device though is the almost complete lack of smoke. The filter does a great job of trapping the smoke.

Positives – I love this appliance, and it was worth clearing a space on my worktop for. I use it everyday now, replacing the grill and oven of my main cooker, as well as the old deep fryer. The parts clean perfectly in the dishwasher, there is no smoky atmosphere in the kitchen and food is cooked to perfection. It does take some getting used to, as things cook quicker than expected, but it is worth the effort to get to know how it works and how long things take.
negatives – Ninja’s website offers spare or replacement cooking tray and the grill insert, which would be great as when you use this a lot, you may need to use it more than once to cook a meal, and the tray or grill insert needs washing in preparation. Once used they are hot and need to cool down for some time to wash by hand or go in the dishwasher, which itself requires significant time. So I was happy to order a second tray and grill but they are permanently unavailable, or marked out of stock. this has been the case for weeks now, and I worry that with the daily use my Ninjas is getting, I will need a replacement at some point, and not be able to get one. Could do with Ninja upping its game on spares.
Used all their time
I researched this and for my needs I chose this product. Feeding 3 adults I needed the size. Can roast joints of meat including making great crackling on pork (if you like that) so saves loads of messing about with oven etc rather have this on work surface than microwave. Was concerned about lift of lid under the top cupboard but no worries it sort of goes back to lift so does not need loads of room to lift lid fully. Really easy to use and everything I tried was on time or early so overcooked a couple of things as getting used to it. You need to get what is right for you and the size of your family. I love it.
So there are many gimmicks out on the market today that promise to make your life easier and for the most part, we fall for it and spend our hard-earned cash in the hope they live up to expectations. I have made many of these purchases over the years only to find they gather dust in the back of my cupboards.
So, our oven door had been playing up for a while and I saw an advert for the ninja on tv and decided to take a gamble as it looked so good. It isn’t exactly a cheap purchase so that’s why it was a gamble but boy was I glad I did!
Firstly, the Ninja does everything it says on the tin. This isn’t a machine that says it will deliver results then you discover it’s not exactly as you expected. I’d already looked at the recipes and knew what I wanted to try and I wasn’t disappointed. Roast vegetables, meat, fish, fries…you name it, the ninja can cook pretty much anything.
As soon as we received the Ninja, we used it constantly. I swear down we have barely used the oven ever since! It is so versatile. Now I am not a fan of steak, however, on my birthday we had my parents round for a bbq and I wanted to try a ribeye steak for everyone. we used the probe and it turned out the best steak we’ve ever had. No chewyness, just soft and lovely. Everyone was impressed.
I thought I’d list the pro’s and con’s I’ve found so far:
Pro’s –

Super simple to use
Saves time on cooking
No mess
Healthy (little oil)
Worktop height (saves bending)
Cons –
Not quite enough room to cook enough for a family of five or even four
If you don’t watch food it can overcook

I can’t actually think of any more negatives. This really does rate as one of my top five buys of all time. My only gripe is I need more of them to be able to cook more at the same time. Obviously, this would become costly and therefore not viable unless you can afford it.
My overall verdict is to buy this as you won’t be disappointed.
No hand book/recipe book
I have worked out how to cook the easy stuff but really needed help with suggestions, air frying, baking etc. I don’t think I am able to make the most of this item without help. I shouldn’t have to experiment, Ninja should give at least a recipe book with instructions. I know you have an online manual but this is cumbersome and it’s hard to find anything without trawling though all the pages (which keep jumpng btw) Even if you gave the option to print the manual it would be useful. This is a relatively new way of cooking and should come with better instructions.

After all the fuss everyone was making over them, I decided I had to try and I was not disappointed at all. The air fryer is now used daily by the family, multiple times a day. I would highly recommend everyone to get one and indulge in the many recipes you can make in a much healthier way!
Bloody amazing!! It is big so you need to make sure you have space for it but that’s the only downside. The grill is like having a bbq indoors without all the faff and the airfryer does what it should. Nothing I’ve not managed to cook as yet! Some before and after photos been included.

I use to have a breville grill which had two advantages that this ninja does not have and that is you could see the food whilst it was cooking with the ninja you have to keep lifting up the lid to check to what’s going on. The second thing is the ninja does smoke slightly especially when grilling something like burgers.
A very positive aspect for me though is the ninja is well made and the grill plate and inner dishes are of exceedingly high quality non stick and I cannot see them peeling the future which most other makes do including the breville i had before. Plus they come up well either by dishwashing or hand cleaning and the remnants of food just slide off easily. So all in all very happy with this item just have to open the kitchen window if cooking burgers.

This is a brilliant addition to my kitchen. It does everything Ninja advertises with ease. Cooking times have to be adjusted from regular recipes because it’s so powerful but I find it really simple to use and not difficult to clean. The probe for cooking meat is a welcome gadget as it cuts out guesswork on when something has reached the ” safe” internal temperature and it stores in a compartment at the side of the machine when not in use.
My only grumble is that you need cupboard or shelf space to store things ( from all ninjas) as not everything fits inside. If you’re airfrying you have to remove the grill plate and vice versa, similarly both items don’t fit inside at the same time do one or the other has to be stored elsewhere. However that’s a small annoyance for a great kitchen appliance. It compliments my 9 in 1 foodie perfectly.
Really impressed
Love this Ninja combi grill and air fryer. Used it a few times now and it’s easy to use, easy to clean and cooks food perfectly.
Not used the bake or dehydrate functions yet, but definitely plan too.
The grill function creates those lovely chargrill lines on food and tastes delicious.
Can hold to cook 8 sausages or 4 large Chicken breasts at a time.
Highly recommend this great product.
It is rather a large piece of equipment, if you have small kitchen counter tops, or limited space, you may find this on the large side.
Beautifuly cooked chicke
Fantastic! The chicken was unbelievable! Mind you it’s Expensive. But it cooks like a chief. Wife cooked fresh salmon to perfection. Haven’t tried baking a cake yet.
Further review after three months of use. The one main point to consider is that it is difficult to clean the top lid. It gathers a lot of grease which gets burned onto the lI’d. To stay on top of it you need to clean it after every few uses. Tried a steam cleaner which didn’t do well. Probably will have to use some kind of solvent cleaner. Such a shame with such a great cooker.

Love using this cooker. Have char-grilled, roast and air fried. Excellent. With the airfry I find that I need the temperature less than recommended time. It makes great chips but I do them on 180 degrees instead of the recommended 200 degrees. Also grilled pork chops on lower temperature than advised. Lovely chops, juicy and flavoursome with char-grilled lines. You can add mushrooms/tomatoes to the the tray near the end of cooking. Be careful not to overcook as it does operate very quickly. For quick roast potatoes, microwave briefly first then place in a foil tray, ( no washing up!) add a little oil and seasalt and place in Ninja 210 degrees – fabulous roast potatoes in10 minutes!! ( Remember to turn them.) Little tip, when doing anything in the basket that needs oil I wrap foil underneath it to save oil going on the bottom pan . All can be placed in the dishwasher if you wish. Great purchase!

I don’t usually write reviews, but ninja grill and air fryer have exceeded my expectations that I want to leave a positive review on this product.
The delivery was fast, the air fryer was easy to set up. It didn’t come with a thermometer like some reviews have said, but I didn’t need one.
I tried the grill function on some lamb pieces first, they came out crunchy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. The air fry function also did very well in making crispy chicken fillet. I like how easy it is to check food during cooking. It is so much faster than the big oven I have at home.
The parts are easy to clean too. They came out very clean from the dishwasher. Tonight I just cleaned the big tray with anti-bacteria wipes, and hand washed the grill tray.
I’ll definitely be using this more often.

The air fryer is really easy to use, easy to clean and the fact you can lift the lid to check progress means you can always cook things to perfection, with minimal or no oil. The grill creates fantastically moist meat with a lovely charred crispy outside – the burgers you can make are amazing, and fish, chicken and steaks turn out great too. Lastly, while I haven’t used the bake function to actually bake yet, using it for 1-2 minutes for a shop bought bun/cookie/pastry makes it feel like the item is freshly baked from the oven. Cannot recommend highly enough – just make sure you have enough countertop space for it – it’s not small.

Brilliant appliance.
I have been using my Ninja Max Grill for approximately 4 weeks. Having got used to the different methods of cooking I now use it daily. I have cooked – chicken thighs, bacon, liver, burgers, sausages, chips, homemade Irish potato bread, baked potatoes and roast vegetables with minimum use of oil and great success. I do not use it to cook steak.
I absolutely love cooking with it and tasting the results as does my fussy husband ( his choice of adjective! )
I spent a lot of time as usual researching before purchasing and I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase.
Grills all sorts of food
Food tastes like it was grilled on a gas barbecue but without all the smoke I haven’t tried out all the different things it can do yet but it’s really easy to operate I especially like the temperature probe which when used allows you to use the pre-programed type of meat it even tells you when to flip the meat over and stops when it reaches the correct temp you can choose eg: how you want your steak rare, medium rare, medium or well done, and it’s very easy to clean. I highly recommend this Ninja grill and it looks great too, PS: it is quite large and opens upwards so needs to be placed where nothing is above it, so check the measurements first to avoid any disappointme
Bought as a Christmas present for my husband who isn’t usually into cooking but wanted to give this a try. We were a bit surprised at how big it was when it turned up but we have easily found space for it- something to watch out for if you don’t have much space. He loves it and finds it easy to use- I don’t think he has used the oven since he opened it! It’s easy to clean and the food tastes great. For the roast/bake/air fry options we find it seems to cook things quicker than usual so timings need a bit of adapting but that’s not a problem and hasn’t put off my husband either. Would recommend!
This grill is so simple to use. We haven’t yet tried the air fryer capability but the roast and grill abilities have been tried multiple times over the past month. Food comes out perfectly cooked and delicious every time and the grill, roast and air fryer pans all go in the dishwasher, along with the splatter guard, so dead simple to clean. Big heavy piece of equipment so be aware if you are buying for somebody frail. I wouldn’t want to have to move it often, it now sits out permanently on our worktop.
This is the best cooking machine iv used for 2020 its easy to use and versatile..The food cooks evenly and does not dry out…very impressed and good value for money..Would reckommend to family and friends.
Im a rubbish cook so love this as I can just set it off and leave it and it tells me what to do when! It is quite big but as it does so much it warrants the space and looks modern over other fryers/grills being chrome and touch screen rather than all plasticky in comparison. Mine didn’t come with a soft tongs though so I bought some extra as didn’t want to scratch it. I’m now planning on getting the soup maker/blender too to match as really impressed with this product.
Absolutely love the Ninja grill and air fryer! The instructions took a little bit getting used to, but have to say this machine is fabulous. It’s really easy to clean and cooks food so fast. Have tried so many different foods so far, and home made chips are gorgeous.

Very pleased with product. It is very easy to use with little complications. All you need to do is select cooking mode and set temperature and time and off you go. How well does it cook food products? Well, I have used the Ninja to bake or grill mostly and if you follow cooking method in good package then you can not go wrong. If you do so, the food item will cook perfectly and even. The only gripe which I have is the size of the cooking interior. It is on the small side but I am in a single household so I do not mind too much. Do those with a family maybe in of the other Ninja models may be better suited. Prior to using the Ninja I owned a halogen cooker until it broke down, in fact I had two over the last few years, and the cooking performance between the halogen and the Ninja is night and day. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Ninja, you can not go wrong.

I have had many small grilling and air frying devices over the last decade, but this beats the lot. I have got rid of my halogen and actifry!
It does perfect steaks and other meat joints. French fries are perfect. It is easy to use and cooking controls are versatile. I It cooks from frozen, but a temperature probe is useful. They are fairly cheap.have just ordered the dehydrating trays.
Best purchase ever over the moon with this product we have cooked all sorts in it use it that much the cooker is now collecting dust it so easy to use and clean.

Absolutely brilliant, anything that you normally grill or fry will cook in this in a jiffy. Can also cook a fairly large chicken or joint of meat with ease. Makes great chips too
This Ninja is excellent. It cooks everything quickly and to whatever perfection you require. No problems except if you want to dehydrate anything ( meats for Jerky, or fruits and vegetables) it doesn’t come with a dehydrating rack?????
Why sell a machine that can cook in various ways and not supply the very accessories required to carry out the task??? I have looked on the Ninja website as well as various others ( including Amazon) and cannot get the proper dehydrating rack to fit my Ninja. The round one is easy to find but the square rack for this particular model is impossible to acquire. This is why 4 stars not 5.
Didn’t know I needed this, until I used it. I can cook a whole chicken it in 20 minutes. It beautifully browns everything I cook in it. It’s not just about the quickness, it really makes everything look great and more tasty. I’m a kitchen gadget queen, one of my best ever buys.
Excellent purchase! Doesn’t smell at all when grilling meat on the highest temp. Which is good if you live with an open kitchen living room. Does everything it says brilliantly.

Read a lot of reviews and user feedback before I bought mine and have been really pleased with the kitchen ninja, it works far better than I anticipated and is amazingly versatile. It did smoke a bit the first time I used it but that was my fault for using the wrong oil, an easy fix though, the fan may seem a little noisy but not enough for me to worry or complain about. I looked at many other kitchen air fryers and grills but in my view this has been the best all round addition to our kitchen.

Researched airfryers for a couple of month and settled for this one and couldn’t be happier ! EVERYTHING TASTES AMAZING ..chicken ..fish…steak 5* . You be hard pushed to find better prepared food in ANY RESTAURANT . Took a week to get used to just … HOW Quick everything can be cooked but then you will hardly use your conventional oven !!

Despite running a small part-time bakery operation that involves three bread ovens, as well as having a combi oven and an Aga, I have no grill per se. After a thumbs-up from Which? and a discount offer, I bought this. I have not regretted it. So far I’ve grilled, air-fried, dehydrated and even, as an experiment, baked a loaf of bread. This thing passes the Ronseal test with flying colours. (For non-UK readers, this means that it does what it claims.)
Do not pay too much attention to reviewers that complain about size and weight – they should see my Hobart mixer. It also does a fantastic job with bacon, cooking the meat and the rind perfectly, which is tricky to do in a pan and otherwise requires a clam-shell (‘George Foreman’) grill. Easy to clean too, as those parts exposed to food are all dishwasher-safe.

The Ninja Health Grill is a great machine not the easiest to clean ie the grill part. It’s best all rounder in the kitchen however the basket and roasting tin which fit inside the Ninja are non stick but are easily prone to getting slight chips. It’s an expensive machine and I would expect better build quality from its manufacturer on the accessories.
Fabulous product. Both meat and fish comes out beautifully crisp but so moist and juicy. Just like having restaurant griddled steaks at home. The air fryer is ok, not as good as the Nonja Foodi but the grill.more than makes up for this. Roasting function very good too.
Convenient and Fas
The two tone look is great, which fits into my kitchen nicely, the overall size is good (not too big that it dominates the counter top, similar in size to a small/Medium Microwave). I have only just started to use the Ninja, my first attempt so far was cooking steaks, which worked out really well. I just need to get use to how fast the cooking process is, so that when other food is also cooking either in the oven, hob or microwave it’s all ready together. Terrific cooking aid, also comes with cooking instructions and cooking ideas. Very happy that it’s easy to clean.
I’ve been using my Ninja air grill for a week now and I’m so glad I took the plunge and bought one. I read the reviews beforehand, all of which had received a free product to test to write a review. I was a bit sceptical but as I have other Ninja products which I’ve been very pleased with, I decided to buy one. I was not disappointed. I’ve cooked many dishes in the Ninja and all have turned out very good. It’s early days yet of course but I can see its potential for the type of meals I prepare. I usually dislike cooking sausages in the conventional way because of fat splattering everywhere, no matter how careful I am. In the Ninja they cook quickly and without the mess. I’ve cooked baked potato halves and the skin is just so crispy, an effect I wouldn’t normally get in a conventional oven. Steak comes out seared and succulent. I do use my own discretion though when it comes to timing. I’ve cooked flatbread in it but that’s a work in progress as I usually cook them in a flat pan on top of the stove. I can see it working well for homemade pizzas.
As I’ve said it’s early days yet but so far I’m loving it.
Cleaning is easy too. Clean it after each use and it’s like new. The stiff brush is perfect for the grill plate. The of the size of the Ninja as mentioned in some of the reviews may be a problem for some. I stored my large toaster to make room on the counter and discovered it toasts bread and buns very well. So all in all I’m one happy customer.
I will begin by saying this is a big bit of equipment. My picture shows it on a standard sized cooker top. That said it does so much so for me the size isn’t a problem.
1) Bake – this is ideal for things like chicken kievs, no mess as the pan they go in is easy clean and they cook perfectly. You simply choose the temperature and the time, leave the unit to heat up (handy little lights show you how close to temperature it is) pop the food in and leave it to cook. I’ve used this function for 3 different meals and it’s produced great results.
2) Grill – this is indoor BBQing with no mess or smoke. Perfectly cooked chicken breasts in 10-15 minutes, it will cook them from frozen too in about 25-30 minutes. If you want to add a brush on sauce you just lift the lid and brush it on during cooking. You get chargrilled with the grill marks and the taste of food cooked outdoors but without the smells and smoke. The grill tray comes with a brush to clean it, although I found hot soapy water got it clean anyway. The grill has different heat settings so you can be sure everything is cooked thoroughly, again you have a some preheating to do but you do only need to use temperature and time buttons to actually cook things.
3) Airfry – I’ve not tried this as I have an air-fryer and I tend to use these side by side, The instructions look simple and given what I know about how air-frying works I can’t see why this wouldn’t do the job. You have to shake the basket during cooking to ensure even results. As this unit has a hinged lid that doesn’t drop back down, doing anything during the cooking time is easy,
4) Roast – again I’ve not tried it as we don’t really roast meat very often, I will try it over the festive season and update this review, but this becomes a fan style oven with simple controls, so I think it will be fine for roasting small joints.
5) Dehydrate – I cut up 3 banana into 3mm (ish) slices and placed them as instructed, one layer in the main pan, and another layer in the cooking tray. It takes time to dehydrate as it has to be done at such a low temperature, so 8 hours later I had perfect crispy, sweet banana slices, ideal for snacks or on cereals. You can dehydrate lots of things and even make your own beef jerky. The dehydrating setting works and it works well.
I absolutely love this grill/oven/fryer. It’s incredibly versatile, simplicity itself to use, the instructions are fairly brief but they cover all you need to know. You get a little book of recipes to try, but this will do so much more than is in there. I’m still finding my feet with it but it’s fabulous. As for value for money, in my opinion, after using it every day for a week, it’s great value. As a disabled person not needing to bend to check ovens and grills is a real bonus too, this does everything at worktop height.
I will add photos to this review of food cooked in the Air Grill at a later date (it slipped my mind to take any up until now) so you can see its results and my progress.
