I like the idea,a child feels satisfied with his first efforts in reading words,lots of possibilities,however,some letters are always missing.I wish the company would pay more attention to this review,as it is disappointing,when during the game you need a letter and it’s not there.

Good for little learners starting to read and write, my son enjoys playing the game.
This is good but I think I bought it a little late for my 5 year old and it’s a bit too early for my 3 year old. We had a few games and it was enjoyed by both but my 5 year old had already learnt these words at school. I think I would recommend it to the average 4 year old who is just about to start reading and spelling. The quality is good like other orchard toys games.

Educational game that's fu
This game if proving to be a blessing. My Grandson struggles with his letters. This game enables him to have fun and without him knowing he his learning letters, sounds and understanding that letters make words. I shall be buying the advanced version when the time is right but for now enjoying the fun with this one. Thank you.

I bought this for my son who is 3. The rating on the box says 4+ but to be honest my son loves this and doesn’t find it too challenging. It’s great to get him recognising letters and we get to practice letter sounds as well.

My Grand daughter loves this. It is a very useful aid to teaching her reading.
My daughter who has speech dyspraxia likes this game. Can’t say she loves it, but when it starts to become about learning, there is always some resistance. She has difficulty in joining some sounds together especially blended letters. We had the previous game which was good, and this is just the same. We play it however as a memory game also, keeping the pieces upside down and remembering where you or someone else turned them over. It makes practising blending more palatable for her, which is a result in my book.

Typical Orchard Toys high quality – I use this in a primary school and the product and box are both tough and made for heavy duty use. I especially like that you can use the many letter cards to develop your own games.

My 3.5 yr old and 5 yr old get a lot of use out of this match and spell box, they play with it at least 3-4 times a week and it definitely helps them with letter recognition and sounding out words

I love orchard games and have purchased loads for my daughters. I have never been let down by any of them and have always had hours of fun while they learn too.
But this for the 4 year old at Christmas (2 weeks ago). He loves it but can do all the words with or without the help letters. Would be useful if there was like an expansion pack with more challenging words and more letters (there might be but I haven’t looked yet, I have also made some of my own to compliment the game). Pieces are really good quality and durable. Perhaps useful for a slightly younger age or those just learning to spell. Really good tool and would recommend this product.

Lovely way to help your child learn to spell. My child had ear problems from birth so is playing catch up with speech and language. This has helped with his understanding of sounds and how they can change from singular to entering a word.

Fantastic introduction to spelling. My 4 year old is due to start school in Spetember so I feel like this has given him a little head start so hopefully he will have some confidence when he learns to spell. So happy I bought it, the delight on his face when he gets the letters right (the blank side) is priceless.

My wee boy loves this! He is 4.5 and can spell and read now thanks to this helpful tool
Bought this for one of my EAL/SEN students. It makes spelling achievable, as one side has the word on it and the reverse has blank spaces for the student/child to attempt making the word for themselves. We use this as a memory game also, where they study the word, turn the card over and then try to make the word. Good quality product at quite a cheap price. Does not contain all the letters of the alphabet though; only the letters for those which make the words on each card.
My 3 year old granddaughter loves this and it’s really helping with recognising the letters and spelling. Good quality card.
This game and the other Match and Spell game from Orchard Toys have really helped my daughter’s reading and spelling, which she was struggling with at school. These games make it more fun than trying to read from a book, and the biggest benefit was that my daughter has gained much more confidence to have a go at both reading and writing.
My 4 year old loves this game. Well done orchard toys. It has a few 3 word card and a few 4 word cards to. On one side you can see the letters and make the word. On the other side you can only see the picture of the thing and have to spell the word your self.

I love how the words cards have two sides (one with the word spelled out which my 3 year old prefers and the other side with blank boxes where the letters should go (so you have to spell the word out) which appeals to my older 5 year old son more making it an enjoyable (spelling/letter familiarise) game that both my boys are happy to play.
