Ease of use
Bought as a second saw to go with my husqvarna. This saw is easier to start and more powerful although a bit heavier. for normal use this is now the go to saw. Chains appear a bit flimsy but so far have performed well

Does the job
Not wanting to spend too much on a chainsaw I decided on this after reading reviews. So far so good. Simple to assemble, starting was a breeze and it soon whips through some tree trunks. Not going to be using it every week but it feels solid so hopefully it will keep me entertained for a few years
Cracking bit of ki
After many years of various chainsaws it was a wicked change to have a suppressed pull cord, it not only has a easy start but it doesn’t rip your arm off with recoil. Great value for money. Easy to assemble. A great all rounder and would definitely recommend it. Thank you !
A pleasure to use
Very pleased with saw’s performance. It fired on second pull from box and started on 3rd gentle pull without the choke. All subsequent hot starts were on a first gentle pull. A little heavier than my 14 inch saw but then it has almost twice the size of motor. The saw is a pleasure to use, is well balanced and cuts superbly.
This chainsaw is boss and easy to use
Wow bought yesterday, used today and well impressed. Great price for a decent bit of kit. Followed a YouTube video to add the chain and bar and was so easy to fit. Except for having to re-tighten the chain a few times which is normal for a brand new chain, there was zero issues with this chainsaw and it was so easy to use. Zero kickback, felt safe and enjoyable to use. Cuts really well and definitely seemed like it should have cost more. Very happy customer, well done Hyundai

Build quality is as you would expect for the price.
I found it to be heavy, shoulders and my right arm ached after use. Comes with a chain brake if it gets stuck etc, that’s good. A few parts only to assemble. Once you are up and running, mimimal things to fiddle with.
Things to note. The chain oil and petrol will need completely filling after around 40 mins use. May as well but a 5l bottle of chain oil, critical if you want to keep the saw running ok. Need 2stroke oil also which you mix with petrol 1:25. Comes with a handle measuring bottle for quick mixing. My main issue was the chain keep slacking off, and took my a while to get the knack if adjusting and identifying when it did need attending to, so was pretty frustrating at first. I also had issue with the pull cord getting stuck and losing the tension, a YouTube video helped me rectify myself, no issues since. Bought this principly because a large oak tree lost a big branch 18-24″ this chainsaw took care of it. Value for money, yes I would recommend vs more expensive options like Stihl.

Great petrol chain saw for cutting logs
The Hyundai model specific YouTube video really helped and simplified the chainsaw assembly, this video was with a qualified technician explaining the entire process from unboxing to the final assembly, interestingly it did not show the chainsaw actually being started up. This is probably the most challenging element of the process in holding the chainsaw safely and starting it up which I am very right sided is problematic as the starter is on the left-hand side of the chainsaw
Received the P1 and had it fully set up and working in 30 minutes. It started first time and was easy to handle. I had a ton of wood that needed logging and the P1 performed admirably for 2 – 3 hours after which the chain became blunted and the saw wouldn’t hold a straight cut. I changed the chain for the second one and all was good again. I have ordered another 3 chains as I don’t want to mess about sharpening/realigning the teeth and at ca. 8/chain, I’m happy.
Overall, for the price a really good chainsaw. Beware though, when it’s cold it’s an absolute nightmare to start! My old chainsaw, maximum 3 pulls of the cord it would startnot this onetry triple! Once it’s started and the engine is warm, it’s greathence 4 stars. So would I recommend – yes I would, but be aware of the starting!
Easy to assamble
I am happy with this saw as it was easy to assamble and easy to use
Had some issues with the fuel pipes, machine started to leak after 15- 20 hours of use. Contacted the seller and explain to them the problem and they were very interested to help, so after some back and forth discussions, they asked me to send the faulty machine back to them so they can send me a new replacement.
This machine is powerful, it is perfect for light work but if you need to drop too many larger trees this is not for you.

The chainsaw arrived quickly, and well packaged. Having used several chainsaws before, assembly was completed quickly and hassle free.
The machine looks of good quality and feels nicely balanced.
The included bag is great for storage and is large enough to fit the small included tool kit, but sadly lacks a loop or pocket to store any fuel or oil, this doesn’t bother me though as it’s nice to have a bag included at all.
For the price, I’m quite impressed so far, and am looking forward to giving it some work to do.

Has been used for the first time to cut tree branches into logs. Was easy to assemble and adjust, started first time and did the cutting effectively. Good that it had a tool kit and spare chain provided. Instructions haven’t been proof read carefully enough but were adequate. I used the recommended Aspen fuel which is premixed with oil but not in the ratio recommended in the instructions. P1PE’s Customer Service assured me the 40:1 ratio would not harm the saw.

Just tried this chainsaw , cut through a 20″ Log no problem. Used it for about 45 min and not too heavy to operate, just let the chainsaw do the work.
Gave it 6 pumps on the fuel bowl, 1 pull with the choke on, the 2 pulls without the choke and it ran great.
Not hard to pull the starter niether, when hot starts first time.

I would not even look at a saw this cheap normally as I have always had Husqvarna saws, but I know someone who bought one and I can’t believe how good they are for the money.

Researched various chainsaws and this one seemed to be the best value. Unfortunately, between researching and ordering the price had risen by 10 but I guess if you snooze you lose!
Having said that it is still value. Easy to assemble and very easy to start both from cold and from warm – just leave the choke and pump alone. In fact it started before I had pulled the cord fully out.
Cutting is easy, just let the saw do the work by gravity, no pressure needed.
Overall, very pleased with the chainsaw and would definitely recommend.

lot of power for not much money
cant fault it have two corded electric chainsaws with 16 ins bars to compare, but it has a bit more power, had to turn down the idle screw a lot used a 95 octane as it still e5 and keep hearing about 2 stroke problems on other garden equipment with e10 . will try to update this find it easy to start cold or warm. im very carefull not to flood having seen other reviews. Plan to try some milling with it. yeah did smoke a bit but turning down the idle seems to help a lot might smoke a bit on start up should clear.

I’ve been using a borrowed chainsaw to cut railway sleepers up, but the owner selfishly moved away leaving me chainsawless. I looked on Amazon and eventually picked this one, and I don’t think I could have chosen better. It glides through sleepers like a hot knife through butter and with equal ease through logs and tree stumps ( because if you get a new chainsaw, the law states you must try it on several things) the carry bag and spare chain was a welcome bonus and the tool kit ( 2x Allen keys, crosshead screwdriver, spanner and sharpening file all in a branded cloth zip bag. ) its lightweight and well balanced. and on top of all these excellent points, it’s a lovely shade of yellowy orange .

Bought a chainsaw from B&Q but took it back because it was just not up to the job. Ordered this one, 25 cheaper. Was a bit dubious as had to assembly it but it really was very simple. It’s a mean piece of kit and has cut through our trees no problem. Very highly recommend.
Keeps up with £1000 saws
I didn’t have high hopes for this chainsaw because of the price but I couldn’t have been more wrong. My saw has kept up with brand new stihl and husquvana saws that are 1000 plus. I recommend this to any one who wants a top end chainsaw either for professional or domestic use that won’t break the bank.

Thought it was going to give problem starting ,but started on the 10th pull . That’s is about the normal with all new petrol, this has a short and fast recoil so don’t try and pull it like the old style of starter on saws, well balanced for the size cut hard wood what is a good test for any saw want through it like hot knife through butter ,for a 62 cc would recommend it to any one thinking on a 20 inch saw . The front handle has a very good feature on it it’s got a finger grip on of the handle as well as on the side so your not having to guess .

This is probably the easiest chainsaw I’ve ever used. It was easy to start, not too heavy. It has a really good anti kickback system. Very happy. I’ve used multiple chainsaws over the years – big brand names and cheap ones. This is the best I’ve ever used, as well as being the longest blade.
Took down a tree next to my conservatory – getting very close to power lines, with just one branch to finish tomorrow. Extremely happy with this saw.

Worth the price
The saw was easy to put together and feels good strong saw,as soon as I put oil and two stroke mix in and primed it it fired up first time. Although not cut any big trees until couple weeks time it coped with a few stumps I needed cut up easily. Only fault is instructions could be little clearer but no big deal.
Great chainsaw
This is my second chainsaw. first one is only 16″ so the extra length is great. This thing starts very easily hot or cold. Has loads of power and has been a real asset. Its now my saw of choice.
Came with a damaged handle piece but wass replaced with no quibbles so more than happy
Initial impressions are good.
I’m using the saw in a small piece of land/large garden context and I’m a novice. Instructions were fairly easy to follow to assemble it and after an hour of use its going well and coping with the large tree I’m clearing. When taking a break it wasn’t that easy to re-start but I put that down to not being used to it.
Decent tool for the money but if it lasts a few years it will be a very good purchase.
Instructions made assembly seem more difficult than it actually is. Very easy to start and use. Gets through the fuel quicky and in chopping up a tree (about 30 feet long) the blade has dulled considerably. This could be classed as normal but I’m no expert so can’t comment as to if this is in the range of acceptable, unit is supplied with two blades so not a significant issue.
As described the unit starts easily which is always good!
Having read lots of reviews I “gambled” on this purchase to some degree but overall I’m reasonably satisfied.
One negative for me is despite ensuring the nuts are well tightened, the chain appears to slacken off during use but the screw to re-tighten the chain doesn’t correct this as it is supposed to.
For a hundred and twenty notes I am fairly satisfied in the short term, if it performs for the next couple of years I will be very happy!
Good all round powerful saw
Delivery was very fast after placing the order. Assembly was simple, but I would recommend watching the very good product instructional video’s if your not confident. After adding the oil and fuel, prime and pull and away you go. I started with relatively small pine tree fire wood on day one, day two medium to large hardwood – absolutely no problems whatsoever. Remember to oil and fuel at the same time. All round good powerful saw, comes with small essentials tool kit, two chains, 3 year warranty and online/telephone support. What more could you ask for.

Auto chain lube works well only thing I would say is adjust the lube rate down as my saw was turned up full and did pump out a lot of oil witch ended up dripping out of the saw

Don’t know how it would perform under heavy daily use but for someone who needs it for a few jobs and bit of regular log cutting job for the fire 100% the saw for the job at the price
Cheap with plenty of grunt.
I already have a Stihl MS181 but needed something with a longer bar for the once in a blue moon occasion I need the additional cutting capacity.
Figured this saw (or the near identical looking Hyundai version) would work as the “big” chainsaw I dragged out when needed, and given the such infrequent use I just can’t justify spending the money on a bigger Stihl.
For day to day firewood, or chopping smaller stuff this would get tiring – it’s considerably heavier than my Stihl (or Ryobi One+ Battery Cordless which is my first point of call to be honest for anything less than a dozen cuts).
In summary, if this is your only chainsaw consider if you need such a big “old-fashioned” saw. A lighter more modern unit from a bigger brand will, IMO, last a lot longer and be nicer to use.
However if you need something with a 20″ bar for occasional large cuts, this has plenty of grunt. The little leaflet in the box recommending Aspen2 makes a lot of sense – put that in and greatly reduce the risk of the saw being put away only for the fuel to go off before its next use 😉

I must say a nice looking power saw. The cord malfunctioned and this was with careful use on the second occasion. Cannot get spares for this chainsaw according to my local dealer. Now not any use at all. Hyundai name not as good with their power tools

Awesome Chainsaw for Domestic Use
Bought this because my chainsaw “worked when it wanted to”
Because of the price , I wasn’t expecting more than it starting and running when I wanted it too.
As I have enjoyed using it , I have tried finding more uses for it.
Cut down a Childrens Playhouse and a large old shed ( both with roofing felt torched on ) in a morning , which enabled us to take to the tip in our car.
Still haven’t needed to sharpen the 1st chain attached and there is still a spare chain in the kit.
It’s not missed a beat.
Am not a “heavy” chainsaw user , but would recommend this to anybody.

Knife through butte
A quality product, with carrying bag and tools and explicit instructions. Powerful engine, easy pull starting mechanism. 1st job to drop a twenty foot, 15″ dia Sycamore tree. The saw worked extremely well cut cleanly through this semi hard wood. I found the saw a tad heavy +-7kg, but that’s an age related issue for me.

The chainsaw arrived quickly and was very easy to assemble with easy to follow pictured instructions. The chainsaw is easy to prime and start, it is a good weight and easy to hold both running and off, it is also easy to use and with the 20″ blade makes light work of most small trees in one go. With the spare chain and the selection of tools that come with this chainsaw it makes it exceptional value for money.

Delivered within 48 hours. Easy to assemble. Starts instantly. First use was to cut down and log 6 conifers. 2 hours work. Later tackled a big pile of chestnut. No problem with either job. comes with a carry bag, clear instructions and a container for fuel mixing. Highly recommended for the occasional lumberjack!
easy start is not the usual tug
Robust and semi professional. However care with the easy start system is imperative! If you tug it as with most units you can jam the cord around the mechanism. You must remember you are winding up a spring as you extend the starter cord which then releases the spring and turns over the motor when you reach the cord extension point.

A solid and powerful chainsaw
I purchased this chainsaw to replace an electric one that had given up on me. I needed a machine that would cope with cutting logs in time for the Winter and this machine has performed the task admirably. It is not a light chainsaw, but is robustly built, starts reasonably easily and is easy to control as it is very well balanced. The only negative I’ve found so far, is that it does not have an indicator for fuel or oil levels and the first time I filled it with oil, it was very easy to overfill it which resulted in a significant production of smoke. Other than this, a first rate machine which should last for many years.

After reading all the good reviews about the product, I decided to purchase it.
Never used a chainsaw before I was a little apprehensive about it.
It was very clear with the instructions on how to put together and build.
I was able to cut two large trees and a smaller tree with no problems at all.
After a break I started cutting again, I stopped it to clear some room, when I tried to restart it the recoil starter jammed and it couldn’t start.
I emailed gen power with the problem.
They asked for details which I sent.
They yold me that they would send me a replacement recoil unit.
I received this the next day. The after sales was extremely impressive and very helpful.
I fitted the new part and the chainsaw is now back in action.
I would strongly recommend this saw as it is very tough and cuts through large trees with very little effort. The after sales couldn’t of been any more helpful.
