I have a large black lab and a medium black lab/retriever mix, I got sick of the old bed they had, which was falling apart inside… They’re both 10-11 years old now, I didn’t want them sleeping on uncomfortable beds anymore – so I got this, the jumbo size (they like to snuggle each other when they sleep so buying two separate medium and large bed would have been a waste as they would have been in one bed) and they both fit perfectly in it.
It just about fits a 5’5 person curled up with two dogs, pictures don’t do it justice it’s bigger than the tv!!
It’s comfortable, hell it’s more comfortable than my own bed, probs will catch me sleeping on it the bolster around the bed is super comfortable it’s like a build in pillow. (My male dog won’t listen to me if he’s comfortable as hell, so you can guess that he found it super comfortable as he would not even bug, just looked at me like “who you think you’re talking to”)
I was a bit iffy about the price but once I felt the comfort and the quality, I’m not that THAT bothered anymore, was worried it was gonna be rubbish quality. Baked bean on toast for a month just for my dogs comfort- priorities
It’s chocolate brown underneath and I’ve got matching colour blanket for it (I didn’t get the same brand though, found one cheaper) but as it’s Christmas I thought I’ll let them have the festival blanket for now!
We have a large pointer (GSP) we have had a barka parka bed for years but he has started to struggle jumping up sometimes and seemed slower some, though he isn’t getting any younger unfortunately we wanted to try find something to help him, so as well as some tablets that seem to have worked we also found these beds that is supposed to support and help him which again seems to be working and if it’s the tablets working the bed definitely isn’t hindering him and he has no complaints, sometimes leaving the room to go get in it which was a surprise as he likes to be in the same room when chilling, he isn’t struggling as much now and can get up easier. he only fills half the bed so we didn’t need the XL even for a large pointer, he obviously has lots of moving space which he would still have with a Large, he loves the supporting edges especially as he loves a head perch. he still prefers our bed if he gets the chance though, would definitely get another. We haven’t washed it yet but it was easy enough to put the foam inside so i can’t see it been a problem taking it back ou
Bought an XXL last Christmas and its as good as new considering the dogs are never out of it. Actually get in it myself for doggy cuddles…and where as most beds drop to the floor, this thing does not, its thick and comfy for them, so offers support. Just bought another one. And dont be fooled by ones that look similar…I fell for that a month back…looked like this bed, but the reality was, it was cheap crap, so returned it. For the money you wont find better, and lets be honest 180 is enough to pay for a dog bed….
Monty absolutely loves his bed. I’d ordered two different ‘extra large’ beds from different suppliers over the last couple of weeks and had to return both – they were medium at best and would have struggled to fit spaniels in never mind a greyhound. Did some research online about the best dog beds and this one kept coming up. I am extremely happy with the bed, there’s plenty of space with the extra large so I’m pleased I didn’t go for the jumbo. Monty barely moves from it unless it’s to go for a walk or on a night time to get into my bed – sadly I don’t think any dog bed would ever change that! Would highly recommend this bed and definitely urge those who are on the fence about the price to go ahead and get it ordered – it will be worth it and your doggo will thank you!
A fantastic dog bed which I wish I had found sooner! Have purchased a few dog beds over the years for two dogs and, although they have been fine, none have been as well made or as sturdy and comfortable as this one. As soon as I set the bed up, my staffy had jumped in and went to sleep within minutes. He didn’t want to get out – even to play when we first got it – it must be incredibly comfy! The material the cover is made of is very thick and strong and holds the memory foam in very snuggly. The memory foam is very firm and even with my dog’s heavy head! is still in perfect shape (bed has been in use for 5 weeks). Will happily buy another- should I ever need to!
I’ve had lots of dogs over the years and purchased many types of beds for their comfort. This bed is the best I’ve purchased. Yes it is pricey but you do truly get what you pay for. In addition to the quality of the bed it is worth considering how much your dog cost you to buy and to look after overall.
So many owners overlook this fact and opt for cheap beds and then spend hundreds if not thousands on their dogs health. Many of the dogs suffering from mobility issues. We know the benefits of a good nights sleep ourselves yet rarely think of our dogs in the same way. I am guilty of this and after losing one of my beautiful dogs (German Shepherd) recently I have decided to upgrade my remaining dog’s bed to ensure he has the greatest comfort possible. Previously I used two memory foam mattresses and stacked them on top of each other which did offer good support.
My Rhodesian Ridgeback always preferred to curl up and would curl up next to his mate. He looked a bit lost without him so I opted for a sofa/enclosed style bed.
I shopped around for ages and read so many reviews. This bed caught my attention because of the liner for the mattress area of the bed. It is waterproof and can also be removed for washing. It is separate to the main cover.
The bolster part of the bed was already fitted when the bed arrived. The mattress was rolled tight and wrapped in plastic. It was easy to fit the zipped liner and the mattress fits into the main cover underneath. This was also easy to fit. There’s a big strong zip to keep the mattress in place and a good flap of material to conceal the zip and to protect hard floors. The bottom of the bed offers a black dotted non slip fabric to avoid it moving around when your dog jumps in.
The main fabric of the bed is incredibly strong and durable and looks likely to last for a long time. It is like the fabric used for sports bags.
I am very pleased that spare covers are available and will definitely purchase one to make wash days easy.
Joey’s coat is very spiky and sticks in almost all fabrics. I’ve already given this bed a vacuum and it is very easy to clean.
I opted for the large bed for Joey, he is a large male ridgeback of over 40kg. He can lay the full length of my king size bed but he prefers to sleep curled up like a cat. This bed is a good fit but I would if space allowed opted for the next size up to give him the choice of stretching out a little more.
Joey is more than pleased with his new bed, he jumped in it as soon as it was ready! I added a blanket for warmth and by the look on his face I know that I have made my gorgeous boy very happy.
If you are considering this bed I can highly recommend it, it really is worth spending out more both for your dogs comfort, the quality of materials/craftsmanship and how easy it is to clean. Buy cheap, buy twice or more…..
Purchased an X- large for our medium sized, arthritic Labrador which is the perfect size for her. Nearly ordered the XXL Jumbo but so glad I didn’t because this is more than ample.
Only received the bed today but I am super impressed with it already. The memory foam is very heavy and extremely thick making it super comfortable. It was so easy to assemble and I I’m so impressed that you get a waterproof cover for the memory foam. Our dog has very mild incontinence since being spayed and I was concerned about spending so much money on a bed Incase she weed on it and it was ruined but this has put my mind at rest.
So far I would deffo say it has been worth the money, our doggy loves it and so do we 🙂
I bought this dog bed following extensive research into other makes and following a recommendation from my sister who had recently bought it for her Labrador. It was important that it provided support and comfort for my own Labrador who has arthritis in most of her joints. I bought the Large, again following the advice from by sister and having read the reviews. It is the perfect size for her although I was concerned at first that I should have bought the extra large as she was used to being able to spread out more on her old mattress. But she has adjusted well and it provides her enough space and importantly support. The large size doesn’t look too cumbersome in the living room, which the extra large size may well do. Would thoroughly recommend for the older dog.
These is by far the best beds I have ever bought for my mastiffs. They are honestly so comfortable in them it’s a pleasure to hear them snoring, and being as they are older now they are less stiff. I have the largest size but think the size below would have been ok also. My only slight problem is they are actually quite heavy and a bit cumbersome for me to remove the covers for washing, and really have a bit of a fight on my hands to put them back together, I do have a bad back which doesn’t help.
This bed is absolutely fantastic! Such good quality, very sturdy and also – MASSIVE! I’ve bought many Great Dane beds that are supposedly for Great Danes and they are ALWAYS too small. My boy was always either hanging from one side, or his head was on the ground. This one is absolutely fantastic! He was a bit skeptic at first, but as soon as I put his blanked down he absolutely loved it. So cozy and comfy, makes me wanna go have a nap next to him! The mattress also comes with a waterproof liner which I really appreciated and thought was a nice touch I didn’t quite expect. Thank you for the great service! xx
Bought this because my 11 year old lab had an injury to his shoulder, so I thought he needed more support than just a large cushion that he’s always had. I can confirm that he loves it so much that he’s in it practically all of the time!
It’s warm, comfortable, holds it shape, the material is soft and strong and it looks good too. I haven’t had to clean it yet (hence why I haven’t rated it) as I keep a blanket over it so haven’t needed to. Although vacuums easily.
I can thoroughly recommend 100%. We bought the large and he is quite comfortable and likes the side cushion to snuggle up to and rest his head on.
Not for sympathy! My dog has cancer in the bone of one of his back legs. Before he was ill his ‘bed’ was my settee or 2/3rds of a king sized bed. Bought the bed because he can’t climb onto his usual beds and the reviews were great. When the bed was delivered he slept in it for 3 hours-the best sleep since he was ill! I’ve found that as he’s deteriorating he needs to stretch out and I only bought the large bed (he’s a lab) so for sleeping I bought a 3inch thick memory foam single mattress topper and like the bed he finds this very comfy. He uses the bed now to sit and watch (or bark at) the world going by resting his head on the arms. Personally I started sleeping on the settee when we found he was ill and moved to the mattress with him. Regularly now find myself in the bed and can confirm it’s comfort!
It is HUGE! The jumbo size might look too big for our dog (see the picture), but she LOVES it! The very first minute we’ve assembled it, she jumped and played on it. It’s like her personal space right now, enough space for her toys, pillows, her herself, and us when we want to hang out with her (she is not allowed on the couch). The material looks sturdy, and the mattress is exceptionally comfortable, but I don’t think it is “dog proof”, meaning, a dog might chew on it and get to taste what’s inside. The leak-proof is actually the bed sheet itself (the white inner cover). Our dog is L size (20 kg), and very long.
Bought for my large 11yo GSD. Read so many reviews but wanted to be sure due to the cost of this.
She has some joint aches and pains and finds it difficult to get comfy these days. The bed arrived this evening and has only been set up for a couple of hours but she seems to love it already and is much more settled.
I debated what size to get as she is a large 43kg German shepherd and after going for the XL she has plenty of room we probably could have got her the large and she would have been happy.
The bed seems really good quality and doesn’t make any russling noise when she’s moving around which is good when she sleeps in our bedroom overnight. If anyone is debating about buying it due to the cost go for it as your pup will thank you!
I am fostering a rescue dog who has a bad hip injury, she couldn’t get comfortable in her other bed, and I noticed her injured leg was getting stiff at times. She would lay in the bed then have to get out of it to turn round , or she would be going on the floor, then the sofa, then the bed , appearing uncomfortable and restless most of the time. As soon as this arrived she sat in the covers, before I could get the memory foam into the base hahaha. She took to it straight away, and seems to love it! She is a medium sized dog 12kgs in weight but quite long for her height. I ordered a large because she likes to stretch out and curl up. She can easily change position in this bed without having to get out of it,in fact you could get 2 of her in there. Some people said they can come up small, but I havent had that problem. Hopefully now she will get a more restful sleep. I put her blanket in it, but I think she prefers it as it is as she threw her blanket out! It appears of very good quality and well made, the zips are hidden under a flap which seems a good idea. The memory foam goes into a waterproof cover then you insert it into the base cover, was pretty straight forward and not too fiddly to do. The memory foam inflated after about 15mins to a10cm thickness. So I would suggest you put the waterproof cover on it straight away, then leave it to inflate. It also arrived very quickly, overall 5 stars from me ,and 5 stars from Daisy! Initially the price put me off, but I think its worth it for the quality and if the dog is comfortable, I wont feel so guilty now when I have to go out and leave here for a few hours. She is the poshest dog in the village lol
Well as you can see our 2 elderly GSD’s are certainly comfortable! We originally ordered the XL but our Shepherd who has leg problems couldn’t stretch out fully so it was returned for the jumbo size which is better. The beds are huge. It might be more helpful if there was a size in between the XL and jumbo. They are difficult to constantly take up and down the stairs so now they are permanently upstairs.
We vacuum the beds and shake the blankets every day. The blankets are beautifully soft and luxurious, I had to restrain my husband from using one himself!
A good product but you have to have the space especially if you need two!

Percy the 3 year old pug is a handful, after Police dog training to no avail we gave up trying to get him off the sofa, until we bought this bed & matching blanket. He loves it & its easy to keep sterile clean. Time will tell how it stands up. Previously he wrecked the typical fluffy beds so this was an outlay that raised eyebrows. So far so good. Well packed and we like the way it can be cleaned either machine or by sterile wipes as water proof. For the record a week later we bought a new sofa. Hypresto came down at 04.30am guess what he was on the sofa. That said its habit and he is happy on his bed and does use it , sleeping alot more.Eyes crossed it continues. Great produc
My Labrador has hip dysplasia in both hips and although she’s still young I realised that she needed something that was more supportive and comfortable for her hips. We’ve had this bed for almost 6 months now and she loves it. She’s a fairly small lab (23kg) and we went for the large and she has plenty of room to curl up and stretch out. There’s even enough room for my other dog (a staffy) to get in there with her, much to her annoyance! The covers are easy to remove and wash and even when my Staffy has her mad zoomies she hasn’t made a mark on it. I was apprehensive about the price but it’s definitely money well spent as it’s great quality.
My wife insisted that memory foam was a necessity for a dog – not sure how they have evolved thus far without a premium bedding but I went along with it. She loved it so much we ended up buying a second one so there is one upstairs and downstairs. Easy to remove and wash the covers so very practical and feel very comfortable. Only problem is it hasnt syopped teh dog sleeping on our bed……so I’m 180 out of pocket and still have a dog lying on my legs every night. Maybe i’ll start using the memory foam dog bed myself……
I could not wait to write this review!!! Like many of the others posters I had to deliberate about the price. After researching it for a couple of months I bought it it came much earlier than expected and was packaged extremely well.
I am absolutely thrilled with this bed. I bought it for my two elderly bichons and probably went overboard on the size but it even better than expected. The foam is as close to my tempur med mattress as I can describe. I work as an occupational therapist and I am very familiar with medical grade pressure care products and if I saw the quality on a medical device I would not be surprised. The foam is high density extremely good quality and my dogs love lying up against the soft squishy sided. It will last forever, this is the ultimate dog bed, it puts everything else to shame. Amazing produc
I have a Bullmastiff weighing 72kilos and is 32inch at the shoulder, I bought a jumbo size bed a year ago and it’s been excellent but today the zip has parted on the upper edge section and won’t repair.
The bed is expensive and should be able to cope with multiple openings and closings for washing purposes, so although a year old now, I’m disappointed. A replacement cover in jumbo size is 45.
Also disappointing is the difficulty I’m having getting in touch with the supplier with my complaint, I can’t seem to find a contact on the Amazon page???
Excellent bed, fantastic support for big dogs, but let down by a silly zip failure.
I have a Great Dane and she gives every bed a “how tough/strong are you” test she likes to dig in her bed and I mean hell for leather dig like she is digging like her life depends on it, we have had the bed for a few months now and I cant believe it is still in one peace I bought the x-large, she isnt a big great dane and it is a nice size for her. As far as comfort is concerned she seems to love it she spends more time in it than she has any other thats for sure. I love the fact that the waterproof part is a separate cover that can be washed too and that I can buy another cover for the bed if she finally manages to tear this one. The whole bed cover is easy to remove and put back on. Big thumbs up from me and Mollie
We waited about 6 weeks or so before reviewing so we could be sure of the results and the unanimous conclusion is – our 15 year old dog ADORES his new bed 🙂 He was getting to the point where his wicker basket with sheepskin in the bottom just wasn’t enough to support and give comfort to his old bones and creaky joints. He loved his old bed but you could tell there were times when he felt stiff and achy – he would fidget around and get out to lie on the floor with a groan every now and again. He can stretch right out on his new bed, he just about stays in it now with no groaning or creaking or getting out to have a change in position. The quality is excellent – it appears to be tough and resistant and very comfortable and supporting all at the same time. He seems to love resting his head on the surround, something that he had problems with before. I hesitated to spend this much on a bed but you are definitely getting a superior product for the price. If he could, our dog would give his new bed the paws up!!
Many sellers of memory foam dog beds will sell you a mattress which has chopped up reformed memory foam or a thin layer of memory foam topped by normal foam. You need at least an inch of solid memory foam to have any benefit for a dog with joint problems. This petfusion bed has 2 inches of solid memory foam for its mattress, excellent for allowing a dog with joint issues a comfortable sleep. The bolsters are softer giving a nice supportive, but not too firm bit of comfort. Cleaning wise – the bolsters are a little fiddly to remove and fit back, kind of like stuffing a sausage! When you remove them you can’t believe how long they actually are, but they do fit back with a bit of pushing and slowly zipping back up! I bought a small size to accommodate my 12yr old terrier cross who has had both cruciate ligaments done, he immediately looked very content in it and the difference in the stiffness of his joints was noticeably less the following day. Great bed. Great price. Just wish I could purchase another waterproof base liner, but I expect the one I do have will last a while as the quality is high.
I bought this in a Large for my 10.5 year old golden retriever who is starting to show signs of joint stiffness and arthritis and safe to say he absolutely loves it! It was incredibly easy to put together and in no time he was out like a light on it. He had no problem using it without his blanket but I added it for a little extra comfort and familiarity. At his age he sleeps most of the day and so I wanted to invest in something of good quality that will hopefully last him for the remainder of his doggy years. If you’re thinking about possibly getting one, do it! Your dog will love it won’t want to get out of it. It is a little more expensive than some others but the quality and comfort shows. Without a doubt a 5/5 purchase
I received this bed a couple of days ago and it’s certainly a fabulous bed, one of my greyhounds was in the bed before I finished fastening the zip cover! Both dogs seem to love the bed – they do already have several beds but this one seems to be the ultimate in comfort. What I didn’t realise was that it’s made in China, I’d spent time trying to make sure that my purchase didn’t originate from China (although these days this is almost impossible) because I’m aware of the problems that have been encountered with pet beds, toys etc containing dangerous chemicals.
I contacted Pet Fusion and Lauren from customer support has sent me two replies detailing the safety checks and standards that they adhere to, I appreciate her taking the time to do this and offering excellent customer support.
I am very pleased with this dog bed. I was looking for a bed that offered comfort and support, and enough room for my labrador to fully stretch out! She is a petite lab (22kg) but very long when stretched out! I opted for the XL, but she probably would have fitted in the Large. My cocker tends to steal her beds, so at least this way, they will both fit in the XL one.
After having read up on the product and reading all the reviews, I decided to go for it – I am in agreement with previous reviews – the bed is expensive, but totally worth it! It is extremely good quality, and unlike a lot of other similar style beds, completely washable!! I cannot tell you how many other soft / plush style beds I have got through, just because they became too stinky and soiled, and I was unable to wash them. With this bed, all the covers come off and can be washed. This was an important factor in what bed I opted for. This is the first memory foam bed i’ve bought – other ‘cushion’ style beds are lovely and plump to start with, but soon lose their volume and tend to go a bit lumpy and bumpy – memory foam should hopefully keep its volume and shape better.
It looks like it would be really comfy to sleep in, and my lab Molly certainly looks like she’s enjoying it!
Sensible quality dog bed with good head support. Impressed with tough outer and waterproof inner. The dog loves it. I put a pet rug on the top to add softness as my lab likes a fluffy top layer at night. The waterproof inner lining is essential as she loves water and other beds quickly smell even though I dry her off after a swim. The outer is med of tough thick fabric. So should last well
The medium is just big enough for a tall lab who likes to sleep stretched out.
This bed is heavier than others due to the memory foam so she does not drag it round the house. I do not put it in front of the log burner as some concern in other reviews regarding fire safety. The thick foam is several inches off the floor which is great if you have cold floors. Our dog is thankfully not arthritic at present but I would have thought this an excellent supporting bed for an older dog or indeed an active dog like ours. I think this is well worth the money so if you are uncertain I would recommend investing in this one
Since getting our dog we’ve spent a lot of money on – what I now know are- inferior beds. No matter how expensive, nice looking and comfy when they first arrive, most beds on the market are difficult to keep clean and get ruined after a wash or two because either ( or neither) the main structure or the mattress can be stripped properly. I’ve been considering this pet fusion bed pretty much since it became available in the country but partly because of the hefty price and partly because the sizes are not ideal I couldn’t make up my mind to get one until now. We have a medium sized dog weighing 14kg and the small size is too small while the large is quite a bit bigger than what we are used to. Be that as it may, once the new bed was assembled it took our dog about 5 minutes to get used to it and he absolutely loves it. He finally has enough space to fully stretch out but equally loves curling up in it. It’s very well made, feels sturdy and can be stripped completely for washing. I also ordered the matching blanket- partly to protect the bed, and partly because it makes the bed even comfier as it’s silky and very soft. I’m curious to see how the bed will withstand the test of time ( and dog) but my first impressions are very positive and both the dog and I are very happy with the purchase.
This is very well made and is perfect for my elderly Lurcher. A younger naughty dog might make short work of ripping it to shreds however, but for my dog, it’s perfect.
The bolsters are already assembled on the bed all you have to do is unroll the memory foam, slip it into the waterproof coverthen into the bed.
Top top****** don’t do what I did and unzip the bolster zip in error. It was like trying to get a wayward snake back into the cover and do up the zip. By the time I had wrestled this around the floor and I was ready to insert memory foam, it had expanded fully which made it all the more difficult to insert!!
So….locate the correct zip before you unroll the mattress then work quickly!
*******update****** my dog absolutely loves it. She got in around 4 hours ago and she hasn’t moved. There’s been no fidgeting, no sighing, no grunting. This bed is worth every single penny
****update again**** this bed is still going strong which is more than can be said about my poor Lurcher. She wee’d in her sleep today, she spends all day in this bed asleep. The inner cover did its job and kept the foam dry. The outer cover and inner cover went in the washing machine. I have a spare outer cover but the inner isn’t quite dry yet. So at the moment she’s very confused, she wants her beloved bed back. (She’s 14)
I spent about 3 hours looking at reviews for dog beds and kept coming back to this one but I have to say the price made me hesitate, purely because we have bought so many different beds and they haven’t lasted very long or worn well and I always felt that the beds didn’t support our lurcher Lucy . .This arrived about 5pm , easier to put together than I thought based on other reviews . First five minutes (photo 1) “not a chance mate ” , photo 2 …. “ok but only a bit of me is going on there “…..photo 3 was approx 15 minutes after bed arrived and she hasn’t budged since and that was 4 hours ago . She is a young lurcher (18 months) and quite leggy but loves to curl in a ball under a blanket at night in her bed . I read loads of reviews to decide on the size and at first thought the large wasn’t big enough when it arrived (she is 28 kilos) . But then when she relaxed into her default position I was confident she had enough room. The bed (so far ) is amazing . The memory foam is soft enough to support her bony body and yet thick enough it barely moves under her weight. Early days and will come back and update re the durability, but so far am so glad I bit the bullet and paid the extra . As one other reviewer said , these are our precious pups and we sleep on a comfy mattress and surely they deserve the same . I would say that Lucy agrees wholeheartedly.
Our 4.5 months old golden retriever puppy loves his bed an it is obviously a very comfortable one. Before he used to switch his sleeping time equally between his old bed, the floor and the doormat but now, even if he still switches, he sleeps 80% of time in the bed. He also uses it as a chewing base, all the chewing goodies he gets he takes straight to the bed for a cozy time. I believe a good bed and a good sleep from the beginning can prevent health problems further along.
My only regret is that I took size L as recommended for golden retrievers, as you can see on the picture he is already filling it up lengthwise at 4.5 months and 20 kg. I am going to order another one in size XL. Having it shipped to Iceland costs a fair amount plus I have to pay VAT and other fees so the prize doubles. The fact that I am ordering another despite of that should say something about how good we find the bed.
My Labrador misty who’s 14 year old and I’ll with cancer couldn’t get comfortable on her old bed. She would be up and down turning around getting on and off it all night. So I decided to treat her to this XXl memory form dogs bed. She absolutely loves it, doesn’t move all night now and is reluctant to get out of it in the morning. Be warned though The xxl is absolutely massive, way bigger than I thought it would be. As you can see by the pic, it’s plenty big enough for two dogs. If I realised how big it was thing I would have gone for a size smaller. However my dogs not complaining so if she’s happy, I’m happy.
As soon as i started taking the bed out of the packaging i could see how it was designed…very cleverly. You can easily remove all cushion parts with ease, they glide in and out of the covers, IF you need to put it in the washing machine. The covers are extremely water resistant and yet breathable. It is loaded with memory foam making it so comfy. I had a quick lye down on it and i could have easily had an afternoon nap on it. Didn’t take long for my pup to like it either.
The dog hair vacuums up with no problem which it doesn’t on any other surface and wipes mud off, no issues. It is true to size, so if it has a picture of a XL dog, that would be perfect for that size dog. We went with XL for a “Large” sized dog and it is large enough for an Irish Wolfhound, however, because our Spinone girl is a princess she get the Queen sized bed.
This rectangular pet bed has a memory-foam base which our dog finds soft and comfy, but it’s fairly firm. We bought the size for a “small dog breed” because although when fully grown he’ll be around 28kg, he’s now a puppy weighing-in at only 5.5kg so this bed will eventually be too small for him.
The bed has 3x side-bolsters and a lower main part on which the dog sleeps, so it’s quite snug. It’s claimed to be “water-resistant” but we’ve had no occasion to test that. The bed has a zip-on-off machine-washable cover.
This product is well-designed and quality manufactured. At first he didn’t always sleep on it as it smelled “new” and dogs normally don’t like that, but now he sleeps on it all the time except when he’s sunning himself on the patio.
It’s not that cheap, but well worth the price. Highly recommended.

My dog (medium shepherd mix) loves this bed. After buying a few other beds of different materials that she didn’t spend much time on I bought this for her in the hope of finding one that she would enjoy spending time on. She’s a little bony so the memory foam material seems to work for her really well and she particularly seems to like that it has a firm enough cushion to rest her head on and back against. The only problem now is that I miss her because she is always lounging around on it rather than up on the couch with me!
It’s also really easy to keep clean with day to day mess wiping off and when you occasionally need to do a deep clean it just unzips so you can put it in the washing machine.
Ben Here .My Mum Thought I Needed a new bed because there was a big dip In my other one .
When It arrived We unpacked it and I asked that’s not going to be very comfy for me It was flat !
And Then I saw the fat bit .Any way we put it all together then I lay on it and ” Awwe grone grone Woof Wooff This Is the life It’s SOOO Lovely !!! I Slept all nite . Mummy Tried It Too x
She Told me It’s well worth the money as I went on to my new bed straight away . I Love my bed
It’s A SUPER QUALITY BED LOVELY FABRIC ITS THE BEST BED HES HAD BEN LOVES IT HE’s HES A VERY HAPPY BOY xx
Have had this bed for 4 months now, we wanted to wait to see how well it would last before writing this review. Happy to say this is the best dog bed we’ve ever bought. Our Cavapoo dog destroyed every other cheaper bed we tried, but this one has defeated him. It’s in as good condition today as when it arrived. We love how the zips are all placed on the underneath of the bed so the seams can’t be chewed. It’s too heavy for our dog to drag outside to destroy. The memory foam is very solid, which our dog loves. Also the edges of the bed make for a great pillow so he can lounge around and get comfortable. This bed isn’t the cheapest out there but it’s definitely the best one we’ve tried – I just wish we’d bought it sooner.
I’ve bought this bed for our 10-week old Border Collie puppy, knowing that she’ll quickly grow into it. It’s intended as a lounging bed for when we’re all together in the living room, as she has a crate in the kitchen she sleeps in at night.
The bed is well made and the memory foam very comfortable. I’ve spent quite a lot of time sitting in it myself during our puppy’s early days. The fabric has so far proved resilient to my puppy’s constant chewing, and she seems to find the bolster around the edge comfortable to rest against. It is a premium product, and as such is quite an expensive purchase, but it fitted in well with our living room furniture and will provide plenty of comfort for the dog to crash out on when we come back from our evening runs.
Considered this an investment piece for my 8 year old Dogue de Bordeux x Basset with arthritis. When she’s not on my memory foam mattress she needed one of her own as her last few beds didn’t quite cut it and flattened very quickly giving no support at all. She’s quite a large dog, around 55kg so wasn’t too sure what size to get. I ordered a large and was worried it would be too small, even when I got it out of the box I still wasn’t sure but she and my Beagle/Fox Terrier cuddle in it together comfortably and snuggly. They’re vying for position with the cats who also sleep in it! Even I have sat in it when I had guests over and wish my own sofa was as comfortable!
Lovely thick memory foam, the bolsters are super comfy and with the dogs duvets on it, its luxurious.
Amazing that the bolsters can be removed, all covers can be washed and has a waterproof inner for the mattress. If you are considering this for your pup but are worried that its a bit expensive and not sure on the quality, I would say its worth it and go for it! Especially if like me, you’ve ordered lots of beds in the past and they haven’t been great quality or as described. You won’t regret it. Thanks so much for a lovely product from myself, the dogs and the cats!
Bought this bed for an aging Border collie! SHE LOVES IT!!! thank you so much for a fantastic product! My puppy Shihtzu also adores this bed and tries to sneak his way on the second the collie turns her back
The collie (and the sneaky shihtzu) looks so comfy while they sleep (ive even caught them in there together fast asleep ) it is easy for her to get on and off with her aching limbs!
I thoroughly reccomend this dog bed not only for senior dogs but for all dogs who like to snooze and dream, the pillow around the edge is great when they want to rest their heads , or snuggle into.
The delivery was fast and the product packaged well.
I left the bed overnight so it could full expand
I got the extra large bed for my German Shepherd. He had a bed at home but never had interest in it as it was too soft and lost shape so I decided to take a risk and get this one to see would it make a difference and I can gladly say it did! Atlas took to it straight away, he goes in there on his own accord now to sleep, he brings toys in with him to play with and he spends quite a lot of time in there now. It is a fantastic bed and I know it will do wonders for his joints as he gets older. I imagine this will last for a some years to come as it seems of decent quality. Would highly recommend!
The best thing since sliced bread !!
I have an 8:5 stone Rottie who loves nothing better than comfort -so much so I have a job keeping her off the sofa ! This bed is fantastic she doesn’t even bother trying for the sofa now. Everyone time I look round she’s ing
Highly recommend – it supports her large frame no matter how she lays which is do important for extra large dogs
I have always had Rottweilers and over the years tried many many beds but this is the best ever ( I’m saving up for another to put in my bedroom so she can escape the grandchildren when they’ve all finished playing hide and seek!!)
But on a serious note it’s absolutely spot on – superb quality and worth every penny
After looking at this bed for a good few weeks wondering what size to get, was it worth the money etc I finally decided yes I would get one, then decided on the Jumbo size. It arrived the next day. I am so impressed with the quality of the material which is hard wearing and hair brushes off easily. The memory foam is of high quality too and provides excellent support.
Both my dogs love this bed and were in it before I was finished setting everything up!
There is a cover just for the memory foam cushion, then the brown cover is all in one piece. The foam cushion zips neatly in the bottom and the bed is ready, took me about 20 mins to unpack and assemble. Really like that the cushion does not lift out so no more gathering of hair or dirt under there, just simple brushing or vacuuming works well. I added a blanked to help reduce any muddy paw prints so wouldn’t need to wash as frequently and just change blankets.
On day one my older larger dog who this was mainly for, didn’t come out for 5 hours solid, I’ve never seen him so restful. He had been getting restless during the night but not now. I can see in his face he’s getting a better nights sleep. Both dogs have not gone on the couch since getting this bed either, it’s so comfy they don’t feel the need as it’s like they’ve got their own! I’ve even been in it and the foam is amazing, I couldn’t feel the hard floor when I was in it. Bolster cushioning around the edge allows snuggling in or head resting and prevents draughts. The bolster is nice and thick, dimensions of the bed are for the outside so the bolster takes away some of the internal space. I’ve added a few pics to give an idea of the size. It is huge but that’s what I was looking for so there’d be more than enough room to stretch right out. Overall I have never seen anything half as good or big enough in shops, this bed ticks all the boxes. Both dogs love it and that’s all I wanted. I feel very happy that my best pals have the best bed.
This bed was really easy to put together, I’m hoping he feels less stiff. He jumped straight in so that was good. I ordered the XL but if I get a second I think I’ll go up a size. It’s gojng to make me so happy that I can wash all the covers as haven’t been able to wash the sides of previous beds or the filling is all loose so this is a good design. Only thing that’s really bothering me is for 138.00 the label could have been sown on straight! I’ll be unpicking that if I can as it’s been out 5 minutes and already driving me mad!! That’s why it has lost a star!!
Bought the X Large bed and matching blankie for my 30kg Golden Retriever. Arrived this evening, Nikki immediately went to sleep in it and has only left it when persuaded to go for a quick walk. This is a dog who quite happily lies sleeping on the floor, not so much now, she seems to prefer this bed. It’s really comfortable, I mean seriously comfortable. I’ve had a shot too, we can both fit curled up together, but on her own she’s got plenty space. I’d recommend this size for this size of dog.
We decided on the Pet Fusion bed due to its memory foam base and bolster cushion sides – Our dog is a Retriever/ Setter cross and both breeds are prone to developing joint problems, so we thought we’d get him a quality bed whilst he’s still young.
My dog has always been a very restless sleeper, constantly switching from his old bed, to the floor, to his crate, to sneakily trying to get onto the sofa.
Since the day we put the Pet Fusion bed down, our pup no longer chooses to lie anywhere else. He now sleeps soundly and snores like a baby.
He’s also a very avid chewer so I was surprised to find he didn’t try to tear this to bits which he has done with all previous beds.
I would give this more than 5 stars if I could!!
What an investment. After my black labbys last bed finally gave up the ghost (she’s a leaner and the edges had completely collapsed and weren’t supportive anymore) we decide to invest in something better that would last longer. Safe to say it’s now difficult to get her out of bed! She has only snuck onto the sofa twice since having this new bed as apposed to every single night before we got her this bed! She leans on the sides and snuggles in to them and they have withheld her weight and kept shape perfectly – I am so pleased with his bed and so is my labby! We got the large bed which is perfect for a labrador. She is a small labby and so the bed is a bit bigger than she needs but it gives her plenty room for stretching out. ‘Normal’ sized labradors and like-sized dogs would fit comfortably in the large bed too. Would recommend this bed 100%.
Our Lhasa Apso Muffin is a very happy 14 year old! She has developed a touch of arthritis so sleeping in her round bed has become quite uncomfortable for her. After lots of research I discovered this fabulous bed! We bought large, specifically so she can stretch out. I have tried to post a photo of her in her new bed but that hasn’t worked! She was placed in her new bed and hadn’t moved since. Us now stretched out and fast asleep, snoring gently! I cannot comment yet on other aspects of the bed only that Muffin loves it- another one is now on order for her sister!! Thank you for a very special bed!
It is now 5 days since Muffin’s new bed arrived. And what a rejuvenated dog she is! Sleeping better (she can stretch out) her arthritis is improved, she is bright eyed in the morning and her tail hardly stops wagging! Although expensive this bed is worth every penny if you have a much loved older dog with joint problems. I would definitely recommend!!!!
Our Rube is 10 over the years she has had numerous beds but never used them apart the odd occasion, she is slow and arthritic now, she has hip dysplasia so it was time to splash out on a good bed and try again for comfort. Well what can I say …. she has lived in this bed for 2 days now, she absolutely loves it, she has put all her favourite toys in it. I had to come downstairs in the night to turn her she was so comfy she snores like a freight train I didn’t have the heart to wake her hahaha so ear plugs in situ I went back off to sleep…. best money I’ve ever spent I swear she was smiling when she woke up this morning. Arrived fast, fantastic quality. 1 very happy dog = 1 very happy customer.
Like everyone else who has reviewed this product I gritted my teeth before buying the XXL version for our 30kg lab and 19kg standard poodle. They like to share a bed and I was fed up of cheap beds that get smelly, horrid and compressed so the poodle folds them in half before lying down. We have had the XXL bed for several months now and it is one of the best things I have ever bought. The dogs love it, it has a waterproof inner cover to stop smells seeping into the foam and the cover is super simple to remove, wash and tumble. We have just received the XL version to go into the laundry room. It still fits both dogs but they do have to spoon a bit more. I will be investing in spare covers to keep the longevity of these wonderful beds.
This dog bed is amazing, expensive but worth it! I have bought my dog plenty of beds but they have either ended up smelling, breaking or she simply does not use them and lies on the floor. This bed has been a complete hit in doggy terms and she loves it. The external cover comes off so it can be washed, reducing doggy household odours (I also purchased a spare cover, so I am not trying to get it dry and back on once I have washed it) it is durable and even as a non-canine, I’ve sat on it and it is really comfortable, mainly due to the fact it is made of memory foam. If you want to spoil your pooch. Try this. I also teamed it with the Pet Fusion blanket, which is also super soft and easy to wash.
This bed looks very well made. It’s quite heavy, with a lovely thick memory foam base that fits inside its own cover before being inserted into the good quality outer cover. There are 2 zips for removing the memory foam pad and the bolster cushion to wash the cover. I bought the large size which is a perfect size for our 16 month old Springer Spaniel. He’s a show type, taller than a working Springer with a longish body and I was unsure what size he’d need. I think he’s fully grown now and there’s plenty of room for him to lay stretched out or curled up. The bed arrived the day after I ordered it with ‘Prime’. I’m pleased I ordered a spare cover at the same time as it’s quite thick so may not dry in time to go back on the bed the same day it’s washed. I’ve had to vac it already and the hairs came off easily. I can’t say how well it will wear but so long as he doesn’t chew it and we can stop him dragging it around it looks like it should last a long while.
Bought this for my German shepherd who is 5 as he needed a new and better bed than his old one that he had and he loves it. He usually sleeps right at the top of my bed and gives me not much room to move but since i bought this the first day he got in it he hasn’t been out of it. usually ill wake up in a morning and hes there next to me but now when i wake up hes laid comfy in his new bed lol. He’s a big dog so the large was perfect for him. he can curl up or sprawl out. It”s really well made. I also purchased the large dog blanket by petfusion too so that i can just throw it over his bed to keep the bed cleaner and protect from his nails. the blanket is really soft it’s better than what i sleep on and fits over his bed nicely. I also thought about his future when purchasing this bed as the memory foam matress will help him be more comfortable when he gets older.
We bought the XL bed for our greyhounds.
They seem to take it in turns sleeping on the sofa and floor. It’s huge and for one greyhound it’s a great size.
We were told to just put a duvet down but it looks so messy having a duvet strewn on the floor, I decided to get this instead and put a fleece blanket inside.
Dogs really enjoyed it. One on the sofa and one on the bed but neither seeming to mind which. The XL had loads of room for them to stretch out and they made use of the shoulder bolsters for resting lazy heads on.
I will update if this wasn’t as durable as it appears to be. I saw some photos of people whose dogs had destroyed theirs which made me nervous buying this. I rationalized that nothing is 100% chew proof, whether you should buy this depends on the nature of your dog. After all, it’s memory foam, it’s strong but bouncy and covered in fabric. It’s not made of steel. We put a fleecy blanket on ours just to protect it a little from a doggie tendancy to scratch around a bit before laying down.
I have two dogs; a seven year old German Shepherd (Bruce) and a three year old Cockerpoo (Toby). They’ve always slept together so I have to buy very large dog beds – mainly those oversized pillows that retail for around 20. Like everyone else I did mull over the economical feasibility of this bed, but Bruce was showing signs of arthritis and needed something more comfortable and supportive for his aching joints.
I read all the (excellent) reviews and looked at the long term benefits of buying such an expensive dog bed compared to my usual (much cheaper) choice of bed. Ultimately I came to the relatively easy decision that my dear Bruce deserved something better than a lumpy pillow for his old age. Despite this I still had to squeeze my eyes shut when I pressed the ‘buy now’ button – at just under 180 for the largest size it did sting!! However, once I’d put it together and my dogs immediately fell asleep on it, I knew that I’d made the right decision. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another of these beds – though I don’t envisage having to replace mine for a very long time.
The XXL size is bigger than I thought it would be and takes up A LOT of space, I’ve actually had to rearrange the furniture to accommodate it but both Bruce and Toby have ample room to either stretch out or snuggle up. As you can see from the pictures they look extremely comfortable and once they’re in the bed for the evening they’re happy to stay there!
The bed arrived within 24hrs in a very large box – be careful when opening it if you’re using something sharp! The memory foam base is what makes this bed so heavy – it’s a really thick slab of quality memory foam (about 6″) and takes quite a bit of effort to get it into the waterproof pillowcase. Once you’ve mastered that the next bit is much easier; just unzip the bed base, place the memory foam inside the space and zip it back up.
This is a heavy bed, it doesn’t really need the non-slip base as the weight of the memory foam stops it from moving around. The bolster pillow offers plenty of support – a bit like one of those firm Tempura pillows – and I can’t see how it will ever sag as it’s so thick and rigidly attached to the base. Bruce weighs just over 40kgs and likes to snuggle his head into the bolster, yet it hasn’t lost its shape at all.
Initially I let Bruce and Toby sleep on the bed just as it was, but I quickly realised that it needed some protection from the unavoidable stains two mucky dogs create, so I tucked a fleecy blanket into it. As luck would have it the blanket just happened to be a nice shade of charcoal grey that blended perfectly with the slate grey colour of the bed If you lift the bolster slightly as you tuck your blanket in, the weight of the bolster will keep your blanket firmly in place. As you can see from the pictures, even with Bruce and Toby changing position several times, the blanket hasn’t moved at all. Apart from making the base ultra soft and cosy, the blanket helps keep the base cleaner and fresher for longer – and just a quick wash of the blanket is all that’s needed to keep it that way. I noticed some reviewers had opted for a Pet Fusion blanket specifically designed for this bed, but I already had my blanket, it’s just a regular fleecy blanket for pets and it does the job very well. I haven’t washed the bed’s cover yet but from what I can see it’ll just be a case of unzipping the cover from the bolster and memory foam and throwing it into the washing machine.
If you’re looking for a ‘proper’ bed for your pet don’t worry that you’re spending more than is necessary, this is a high quality bed that is worth every penny and should last for many, many years. The comfort factor it brings to Bruce (especially) and Toby made this such a worthwhile purchase for me. Buy one of these beds and you won’t doubt that you’ve made the right decision – let’s face it, who doesn’t want the very best for their pets?
I have tried many beds over the years for our greyhound cross, but she always acted like a princess and refused to sleep anywhere but the sofa! So I thought I’d give the PetFusion bed a try. It was an instant success!
The memory foam supported her 22kg weight incredibly well and protected her boney bits from getting sore. The cushioning around the side was also a stroke of brilliance as she can tuck herself into it like she used to do on our (now hair-free) sofa. In fact, sometimes it’s hard to get her off the thing even to go for a walk!
Moreover, the company has incredibly good customer service. I had a problem with the bed (not a fault, just a maintenance issue) and contacted the suppliers for any advice. They sent me a whole replacement bed without me even asking for one! I was totally floored by their generosity and would absolutely recommend them without hesitation.
Simply a great experience from start to finish.
My dog – a very large golden lab absolutely loves it which I was unsure that she would – she has always chosen to sleep on the wooden floor rather than any of the other beds I’ve bought her (there’s not a cupboard full until I give them to a home).
I think it’s due to the fact that this bed allows her to stay cool rather than the other warmer style beds, as well as being more comfortable.
Got alot of funny comments from friends when they first saw it, asking if they could be my dog in their next life (due to this bed being nicer than their own lol).
Honestly, this is the most incredible dog bed. I have a 2 year old Lab who is spoiled and chunky, and for the past 2 years has REFUSED to sleep anywhere but in between me and my partner in our bed. He’s very picky with where he sleeps.
As soon as I was unpacking the memory foam mattress, he lay on it! Couldn’t believe it. It took him a few days to realise this was his new sleeping spot, but oh my gosh he is in love. He can stretch out, curl up, and most importantly, he can rest his head on the sides.
I can’t express how impressed I am with this bed for Tyler. It’s extremely well made, comfortable as anything, and it looks so good too.
Tyler weighs about 40kg, and I got the jumbo and you could fit two Tylers in this bed. Definitely go for the bigger size if you’re open to paying more. It’s a lot of money for a dog bed, but Tyler won’t even look at the 20 beds you get from Argos or the pet stores. It’s the ultimate comfort for your dog, and they deserve it.
It used to be a struggle to help Tyler up onto our bed every night; now we point at his bed and he crawls in and he’s out within a minute.
Brought this bed nearly a year ago now and I’m so pleased I did… I remember looking at the bed on and off for months debating over whether I could justify the money but then realised that I have a comfy mattress to lay on every night and I’m sure my dog would use her bed much more than I use mine! So I went for it and it’s one of the best things I’ve brought …
The padding is amazing, it keeps its shape and it washes well and looks stylish…. can’t ask for much more…
I add a simple blanket in the bed to make it cosy and also so I can wash it every couple of days and then just hoover the main bed and then I only have to wash all the covers every couple of weeks
My Labrador is a smallish lab, weighs 28KG and I brought the large… I would suggest maybe going for the XL if you have a larger lab… Mine manages to curl up and stretch out in the large size and even has room for her cuddly toys ….
Would recommend this bed to anyone
This is my first review and I buy a lot from Amazon! I have a very spoilt dog who has slept in my bed for over 2 years (much to my husbands disgust) Bought this bed in a last attempt to get her off after purchasing numerous others that have been played with or ignored. Put this one out when it arrived and she went straight in for a few mins then back to the couch, moved it upstairs to the end of the bed and put her cover in it and left it like that with no expectations. Well bed time came we went up to bed, she had a drink then went straight in and off to sleep, I was so shocked I couldn’t quite believe it and that was her until 7 this morning. Husband wasn’t happy paying so much for a dog bed but after last night I’m sure he thinks it’s well worth it. I have a 10kg bichon type dog and went for the large one as was worried the small wouldn’t give her room to stretch out. Hopefully I haven’t jinks it by writing this review but was so amazed at how easy it was I wished I purchased it ages ago.
We have had a few issues over the years finding Snoopy a suitable bed, one that he would be interested in use and also not destroy. Snoop also loves creature comforts i.e our bed so it is always very hard for him to use an actual dog bed. UNTIL I ordered this one. Our dog loves this bed and now often takes himself to bed, even when we are in different rooms which was unheard of. He won’t spend all night on the bed but it is still huge progress and something I am over the moon about.
Snoop loves that that is support around the sides for him to lean on and rest his head on which wasn’t a feature on every of the previous pets so I think this is what makes the bed so successful for him. Also the memory foam makes it very comfy (I’ve had a try). It is very good quality and waterproof, which helps against damage or stains.
Although a springer spaniel is typically a medium size dog, our dog is considered large not because of his weight but because he is big for his breed. But I actually brought a jumbo size bed because Snoop loves his space and often sleeps on his back with his legs sprawled everywhere. It is very big, big enough for a lot larger dog but I still wouldn’t say it is overly oversize for our dog. In hindsight I should of prehaps ordered for XL but I am still very much happy with my purchase and plus we have the room.
Wow….what can I say…brilliant. Our dog has chewed up and destroyed lots of beds but have had this for a couple of months now and it is honestly worth every penny. No damage has been done to said bed and every attempt was made in the first few weeks by our dog…my heart was sinking thinking that all the money I had spent on this was going to be wasted….however it stood up to the test and now that the dog realises the bed is the boss she actually sleeps/sits/lies in it and it is her go to place. The bed has been washed several times…zip off covers…and as good as new. Our English Bull Terrier is comfy in the large size…plenty of room…highly recommend this 5* produc
Needed a new bed for my dog, bought new sofas and did not want my 9 stone Chocolate Lab ruining these ones like he did the others. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try, I normally wouldn’t spend this much but wanted my dog to be happy and most importantly use a dog bed! Ordered the large, only took two days to arrive but unfortunately it was a little too small (I would say it’s a medium not a large). Sent that back which was very easy to do and purchased the x large which again only took two days to arrive. It’s definitely the right size, he can spread out and and relax and the sides offer great support for him to rest his head on. Don’t be put off by the price, if you want your dog to be happy and want your sofa back get one of these beds, you won’t be disappointed and neither will your dog.
Our 36Kg black lab retriever cross loves it and has plenty of room. I can’t fault it but I would say, just watch out for the very variable pricing. As of today’s lightning deal 20/12/17, it’s 50 less than we paid and drops in price a lot – maybe use uk.CamelCamelCamel.com website to track the price to get the best. If our dog didn’t love it so much I’d be a little bitter, but I’m not; he’s worth it 🙂
Although quite expensive, my dogs love the big comfy bed. Arrived quickly and in perfect condition, very easy to fit base. Big enough for all four dogs and a human! No stuff bones or joints for this lot.
My girl is getting on in years and so I wanted to get her a comfy bed. I have bought so many different beds over the last ten years and she has either destroyed then or ignored them. I looked at this bed and I have to say at first I said no as it is not the cheapest on Amazon, but I bit the bullet and ordered it. I must say it is incredibly easy to put together and looks lovely in the lounge. At first Bell refused to go in it but with a little persuasion got in and was still in it hours later. In fact if my son’s dog gets in it she will cry until we get him out so she can reclaim it. So would I recommend it well the answer to that is YES. I bought a large bed and Bell is a Bull Mastiff cross and is 44 kilos and it supports her beautifully.
Hi my name is Murphy, I am a 12.5 year old black Labrador. My mum noticed that although I am remarkable for my age I was grumbling a bit as I lay down and a bit restless, despite already having a very good magnetic therapy bed. I had slowed up a little on my walks too. Mum decided some overtime was in order so she could treat me to a Human grade memory foam orthopaedic lounger. When it arrived I knew it was for me and I eagerly waited for it to be set up then I got in. I was sleeping deeply within minutes and I have a bigger spring to my step again. I have the XL as I am a big Labrador and this is plenty big enough. The headrest are an important feature as I like to use them a lot. I had a separate pillow on my old bed. I tell anyone who will listen about my bed and mum says it’s the best money she ever spent. I have to agree. I LOVE IT. From Murphy.
lovely bed for my elderly boxer. Very supportive thick memory foam base and she loves the cushion roll at the top to rest her head on. I bought the large size for her after going through all the reviews and photographs and it fits her perfectly. very pleased with purchase
You really do get what you pay for with this dog bed / lounger as the design, quality and workmanship are all first rate. I have a 13yr old Border collie wth arthritic hips and she has been struggling to get comfotable on her previous, cheaper and smaller, bed but the PetFusion bed is providing both support ofr her joints and losts of space for stretching out. She really likes the raised cushions / bumpers around the edges to either rest her head on, or snuggle up against. I still cant beleive I bought her something so expensive but the way she has been able to relax and sleep properly on it makes it worth the cost. If the bed is as robust as it appears to be it will probably be the last dog bed I need to buy.
I bought the jumbo size bed for my very large Labrador. There is loads of room for him to stretch out and also room for his favourite very large stuffed toy. It is big enough for a normalish size person to lie on if they are curled up a bit.
He has had several attempts to dig in the bed with no sign of any wear or scratches. He has destroyed a leather sofa in the past so I’m impressed with how strong the cover is on the PetFusion bed.
The top cushion around the side is perfect for him to rest his head on. The memory foam base is very thick and seems to be comfortable. The base comes rolled up and vacuum packed. The instructions suggest putting the base inside the cover when it is still not back to full size – definitely worth doing.
It was a lot of money but it looks like it will last years and the dog loves it.
I have a large 18 year old cat who is very strong and healthy but starting to get a little stiff in his rear legs. He loved his old bed but he never looked very comfortable, always half falling out of it and it didn’t support him. I was concerned for his old bones so I researched and found this one. The memory foam is great as even with his weight and size it keeps him perfectly supported and comfortable. He loves the size because now he can stretch out but also he can curl up against the padded edges when he wants to. It’s made for a small dog but is perfect for a large cat or even a couple of cats (if they love each other!) So far I’ve washed it a few times; it’s so easy to remove the cover. Washes beautifully but I’ve not risked tumble drying it. It’s much more than I would have liked to have spent but a good sleep is priceless and my boy is more than worth it. Hopefully he’ll be able to enjoy it for many more years to come!
Update: 29/1/2021
I have now had 2 of these beds for 2 years in constant use (greyhounds are the laziest dogs in the world)
I can say, hand on heart, that these beds both look like brand new, They are simply the best dog beds I have ever bought and I’ve bought a few, believe me.
I also found the customer service was quite incredible.
beautiful bed and very easy to assemble
Nice quality memory foam base and a lovely grey that goes with any interior.
I wish I had got the larger version as the soft pillow edging takes up quite a bit of room. Ok for my small greyhound who loves to curl with her head over the edge but no good for my larger greyhound who sleeps fully stretched.
I bought this bed for one of my 3 Bassets that has had spinal surgery. She absolutely loves it, but unfortunately so do the other two and it’s a battle to see who is first in. Then it’s all down to bribery to make sure the right Basset is sorted! She will share with one of the others as there is plenty of room for two, but one of them has to sleep on a lovely fur rug (shame!)
It washes beautifully and is very easy to dismantle. I hoover it every day and the hoover manages to get into all the corners and under the ledges.
I have nothing negative to say about this bed – it’s great.
This is a replacement bed for our 3 dogs, who like to pile into one bed for daytime! The XL size is same outer dimensions as old bed but I hadn’t allowed for extra padding so its a tighter fit for them (my silly mistake). Strong, robust bed which our dogs love.
Bought the Jumbo size for our 10 year old 33 kilos lab to ease his Wobbler’s syndrome (back and neck pain) and ageing hips. He loves it and so did our 2 year old Beagle. But as she got in, he would hop out – even thought there was plenty of space for both, so we just received the Large we ordered for her. Small would probably have been cosier but would not have allowed her to stretch. Will be buying the extra covers and blankets soon! How about making some matching cushions so they can be made ‘smaller’ for a change?
This bed is FANTASTIC! My dog has a heart condition and, as s consequence, is most comfortable lying on her front. This bed is perfect for this as the firmer base provides support and the bolster sides are ideal for her to keep her head slightly elevated which she likes to do, Great quality and the co-ordinating blanket is extremely soft and provides an extra snug layer for chilly nights. We also have their mat for under the food and water bowls which has protected our kitchen floor but looks neat and stylish too. I just wish I’d discovered this company years ago!
Bought the extra large for my Labrador but could have easily gotten away with large (takes up a lot of space!). She absolutely loves it, never seen her so keen to go to her own bed (usually sits at bottom of mine waiting for an invitation!). The design is fantastic. All covers (mattress and bolsters) can be easily removed by zips to wash and the mattress is made from one piece of memory foam and is nice and thick. I have spent more money in total on several different beds for her in the past and they’ve all ended up in the bin for various different reasons. Expensive but well worth it as I think this will last for years to come.
I bought this for my Malamute who has hip dysplacia. It is soooo comfy (as obviously I’ve had a go in it) I have 3 dogs and they all love it, but my malamute just seems to know it’s for her. You get what you pay for and that is extreme quality.
My boys are now jealous though so looks like I will have to get 2 more! Even the cat has been caught on it.
I now don’t worry about their comfort when I’m out at work.
Fabulous delivery & luxury.
Highly recommend.
I bought this bed for my 12 year old German Pointer who has arthritis and hip dysplasia. I had noticed how she kept getting up and turning round in her old bed, and then someone said how tired she looked. Since delivery of the new bed she sleeps soundly, no getting up and turning around to find a comfortable position and she is much happier in herself. The bed is easy for her to get into and the walls around the edge provide good support for her back. The bed is large enough for her to stretch out in but comfy for her curled up in a ball as well. She has had to cope with one of my cats moving in to the front corner of the bed but they are happy curled up together in the bed. I would recommend this bed to anyone with a dog of similar or slightly larger size.
I wasn’t sure about the size when I ordered it , as I had it for my 2 Chihuahua’s . Reason mainly to get them off the settee. As soon as I put it down they both jumped into it. I didnt need to tell them. It is a luxury bed I would say. Memory foam is great for them. The colour and style looks smart in any living room. I’m so pleased. I know it costs more than the usual beds. But literally you get what you pay for. I have 2 happy chi’s. And plenty of room for them to play in it. All dogs would love it.
We bought this for our Pointer-cross (20kg weight, bit bigger than a Springer but not quite as tall as a pure-bred Pointer) as I wanted something that wouldn’t “go flat” within a few months as his current bed had. Had been looking at Orvis beds, but the 200+ price tag made us a bit nervous in all honesty. Bed arrived well packed, & was easy to assemble.
Am so incredibly impressed with the quality. The cover is well made, zip closure looks to be a decent strong good quality one. The bolsters are firm. The mattress is very comfy!
As for the hound – the picture says it all! Within 10 minutes of putting the bed together he was spark out in it. He seems much more relaxed and less fidgety in this bed than his last one, so much so, he’s even started sleeping in it overnight occasionally.
We bought the large size as the hound is very much a sprawler- he tends not to sleep curled up, and is a bit funny about small spaces – he does not like to be cramped.
I would absolutely recommend this bed. So impressed with the quality.
I am so pleased with this purchase. Worth every penny. A bit of a nigntmare to install but a pinch of stubbornness got me through. I have never seen my dogs this way. They are so relaxed so happy
If I could I would give this bed 10 stars. I have a 7 year old lurcher who doesn’t always know what to do with her long legs. She absolutely loves her new bed. She can stretch out with her feet on one side and her head on the other with no problem at all. She used to share the sofa with us but now prefers her comfy bed. Thank you pet fusion .
I don’t write reviews often – and I think the ones I have written have been complaints rather than complements…
But this bed (and the jumbo as well) are worth the effort. These have to be the best dogs beds i’ve ever come across. I’ve had multiple dogs my whole life (30+ years) and these are the first beds i’ve come across of this quality. The cushions fill the cases without overfilling them so you can get the cover back on after a wash. The cushions are in a waterproof lining which goes inside a rugged outer canvas shell. The zips are good quality and open up the shell to easily get the cushions in / out. They are incredibly durable and easy to care for.
I’ve had the jumbo one for about a year now and am just so impressed i bought a small one to replace the last non-pet fusion dog bed in our house.
Yes, a bit pricey – but when you won’t ever need to replace the bed again, it’s an absolute bargain. Top quality product!
I had to think quite hard before spending 80+ on a dog bed, but I decided to go for it and I am not disappointed!
I was looking for a dog bed with a “back” for my dog to lean against, and a removable washable cover. I looked at the standard plastic oval beds with cushions/covers that go with them but none suited my tastes, and I liked the modern clean look of this bed. And it’s grey, grey matches everything!!
The bed was packaged neatly in its box, it arrives in 3 pieces – the cover, the memory foam mattress, and a slip cover for the mattress. It was easy to put together (there are even instructions though you really don’t need any).
The bed appears to be made to a high standard, seems are seen properly, zips are sturdy.
I was unsure what size to get for my Dalmatian but got the Large bed and its perfect – he can stretch out on it if he wishes but he seems to just *love* the comfy sides that he can lean against!
Also the cardboard box it arrived in is a firm favourite with the cat so win-wi
After looking at countless dog beds for my 7 year old choccy lab. I decided on this one, due to the memory foam for her joints, the washability and look of the bed.. I’m so glad I did. The size is perfect for her and she looks so comfy in it. She loves resting her head on the sides and stretching out. She’s been using it for a few days now and loves it. I have got in myself and it is really comfy. I wish my mattress was the same!! I have terrible sleep after multiple back surgery and am thinking of trying a memory foam mattress now!
The bed came a day after ordering.it was very easy to assemble. We left the mattress out the wrapping for a couple of days to expand again, after being vacuum packed. Then managed to assemble it easily. It’s a top quality bed and I think it, so far, seems worth the money.I have seen similar beds in pet shops, that are a lot more expensive. I will review again after we’ve had it longer. I would definetly recommend this bed from this prompt curteous seller.
I purchased this bed for my 7 year old rottweiler who has stiff, clicky joints and likes to use our sofa as his bed so I thought Id treat him to a little luxury in the hope he’ll stop climbing on to the sofa as it cant be doing him any good. The bed itself is exceptionally good quality – Iv spent hundreds and hundreds on beds which after a while become out of shape, floppy etc but this is robust, firm and so comfy the kids sit in it to read!!! Unfortunately for my rottie boy, we got a new addition a few weeks ago who thinks she is lady of the manner and has stolen his bed so I am having to order another – I will order the XL one this time though as whilst he can fit in the large if he curls up, he cant lay out in it. Great bed and to be honest, Iv paid more for beds that havent been anywhere near the quality of this. Highly recommended
My dog loves his new bed, I didn’t even get a chance to put the bed in its normal place, he watched me put the memory foam in and turned it over he jumped in and wouldn’t get out, he didn’t even come to bed that night. his sleep score has improved by 7/10% if that didn’t make sense he also has a fitbark that monitors his overall fitness and sleep.
I measured his original bed so I got the right one, it measured the same size but this look smaller due to the sides being on top of the foam, my dog is not fussed that it appears smaller, he puts his head on one raised side and sometimes his feet on the other when he stretches out which looks quite funny. My dog is a large Labrador and I got him the large bed. He has joint problems so I am hoping this bed will help him the older he gets as he is only 3 now. Yes its expensive but in my opinion so far it has been worth every penny.
Wasn’t disappointed (& neither is my dog) lived up to all the good reviews I read before purchasing.
I have a Labrador & this is now her third bed, as she’s grown so has the need for another bed.
I wanted to make sure that I was buying one that would last and that she would be comfy on, she had just stared sneaking up onto the sofa, so I wanted a bed that would hopefully be more comfy as a distraction.
It worked she seems to love it and looks so comfortable, I purchased the large and it gives her plenty of space, and the raised edges are a perfect position as she likes to sleep with her head slightly elevated.
Really pleased, delivery time was v.good packaging great.
Would recommend highly to anyone/any dog that maybe considering buying, I don’t think you’ll regret it.
Added 12th June – Just to say this bed is so good I have just had another one delivered, my dog sleeps in a crateat night, but also in the lounge in the day time, so I thought it only fair to her to have the same bed in each she is just so comfortable in these, they really are worth every penny.
I have 3 dogs, one of which is 12 years old and going strong. Although he forgets his age I can tell that his bones are starting to feel heavy. So I thought I’d give him the ultimate treat and buy him the Ultimate Dog Bed. Well, he loves it! …. and so do the other two!!! First time as a pack they were fighting for a sleeping place. Needless to say, now I have 3 Ultimate Dog Beds for 3 dogs 🙂
The product itself is wonderful quality. Well finished and delivers as promised. I have yet to wash the covers but I checked on zips and handling of stuffing and I must say I was positively surprised with how easy it is to use.
I know the PetFusion Ultimate Dog Bed is rather on the expensive side but I am sure it will outlast and keep its shape far far longer than any mid range beds. I can only recommend this product.

Both of my pets absolutely love this bed! Taco the pug immediately stretched out and started playing around as she always does when she’s happy and comfortable. As soon as she left the bed Molly the cat completely occupied the bed, which I did not expect as she never showed any interest in pet beds. I am very satisfied with the purchase, but I’m afraid I’ll have to buy another one if the pets don’t share haha!
**Updated 1 year after purchase**
I felt the need to update this review as 1 year on I am just as pleased with this as the day i purchased it! I now have 2 of these beds and both have held up so well. Hoovered, regularly washed and used most of the day by the 14 year old dog, these beds are as good as when they were first used. HIGHLY RECOMMEND these beds!

I was concerned about paying a high price for a dog bed, but now about to buy a second one as the dogs have made their feeling of love for it very clear!
It is easy to hoover and remove hairs and whilst it appears large to begin with, it means it is solid and no shape is every lost. Packed well it was ready to use in 5 mins.
Bought this for my younger dog (labradoodle), but my old dog (boarder collie cross) has claimed it despite loving his old bed for the past 5 years. If the young one tries to claim it at night, the older one stands and barks until he gives it up!
My dyspraxic Irish Wolfhound puppy (yes, that IS a puppy!) and my equally clumsy Irish Wolfhound cross dog love these extra large beds so much that they don’t spend half as much time bounding across the house, breaking things including pets or humans. The beds are ridiculously expensive but, according to my partner (who refused to let me take his photograph to put on Facebook while he was trying out the beds, for some reason), they are extremely comfortable. It also means we don’t have to sit on the floor while the three dogs lie around on the sofas. Result!
Ordered this for our 11 year old black Labrador to give her extra comfort and support. On the first day of using it she refused to get out of it all day with the exception of going for her walk and eating her tea. I think it’s fair to say she likes it! The bed appears to be of good quality and the cover zips off for washing. We opted for the Large size and it is more than big enough to allow her to stretch out comfortably and she loves resting her head on the pillowed side. Happy dog = happy customer
October 2017: 9 months on and our Labrador still loves her bed. Unfortunately the zip on the pillow section became defective this week rendering the cover useless. I contacted PetFusion by email to advise and am pleased to say that following a prompt response a new cover was with me within 48 hours at no cost. Very impressed with their customer service. Well done PetFusion! A great bed and great follow-up service too!! Thank you.
We have a lovely lurcher who is now getting on in years and is suffering from the usual stiffness and aches and pains of old age! We ordered him one of these beds as a replacement for his “old slipper” of a bed which he loved. I can honestly say that it not only arrived extremely quickly (unheard of in our neck of the woods), it was very simple to put together and was of better quality than we had anticipated. Well to cut a long story short, he jumped straight into it and sighed gently as he relaxed into the deep memory foam. We find he doesn’t move around as much now and seems a lot more settled during his long lazy sleeps.
I also have to say that he (and we) loved it so much we brought him a second one he can use in another part of the house.
I would highly recommend this to any dog owner for their beloved pooch of any age as like us, there is nothing better than a lovely comfy bed to collapse into.
At last! A dog bed that provides all the comfort and support my 35kg Lab wants, with fully (and easily) removable covers that her owner wants, and at a sensible price. Arrived a week earlier than stated so delighted on that front too. Holly looks so comfy in it, so have just ordered another for her daughter. And a spare cover as well. Heartily recommend this bed for your pooch!
First of all this is a quality dog bed, make no mistake its not the kind of ‘Pets at Home’ bed that’s off to recycling within a few months of being chewed and abused.
The bed was well packaged and delivered in good time, it did require some simple construction to fill the bed compartments with a memory foam slab and bolster padding (all supplied) but this was simple and fool proof with the supplied instructions.
The material is strong, with quality zips and clean joints. Its more of a tough cotton feel than the fleece type beds that are so common although nowhere near as hard or uncomfortable as the waterproof style beds.
I’ve chosen to give the bed 4 starts not 5 due to it not being quite as comfortable as we envisaged, this is probably due to having to order a large bed when a medium would have been more suitable (only available sizes are S, L or XL). We have a sausage dog and he is probably a little too light to benefit fully from the memory foam, plus he looks a bit lost in such a large bed. He does fidget about in it so have had to put a thick blanket over the bed for him to feel fully comfortable. I would recommend it but more so for heavier dogs to feel the real benefit of the memory foam.
