Loved the boxes, though I was hoping for 1 of each collection box when I ordered 2, since there’s a Leafeon V Star Collection Box & a Glaceon V Star Collection Box, you would think that the customer would want one of each, rather than 2 of the same. If you are looking to get 1 of each, I wouldn’t recommend buying from Amazon, look elsewhere if you want 1 of each box. Regardless, I’m happy with the product. 🙂
delivery was fast, the product seems untampered with to the best of my knowledge, since i compared it with another bought from a retailer, the price is reasonable, and it came in good enough condition since both suffered from a slight bend at the back of the box from shipping, only thing i could really add, would be to deliver it in a bit more flattering packaging since it seemed a bit overkill and messy, i liked the little note also, to say thank you.
Product contains 180 cards split into 3 60 card battle decks, along with a playing board, instructions and other minor essentials.
Each deck includes a GX holo card and a couple of rares aswell.
Compared to the 60 card deck boxes and tins around right now, the battle academy is fantastic value and worth purchasing by those who already know how to play, as well as those who don’t.

Great starting game for the learning how to use Pokemon cards. I used to have them when I was a kid, but never knew how to use them. I bought this on a friends recommendation.
For me this ticks a lot of boxes.
I should clarify this. I come from a board gaming background in general (I own between 60-70 board games, which get changed from time to time). It was the game point that interested me most.
The game is a deck building game, but with a few difference. You build your deck before playing, and pit your deck against an opponents to see who’s is better.
That sounds basic, but there is a lot of strategy in how and when to use your cards, so every game is different.
Now, having said about building a deck, I should disclaim here: This box has 3 decks ready built for you. This is really a game to learn the ropes, as well as giving you some starting decks to work with. As far as value goes, it is extremely good value! To build a deck nowadays can cost a lot, depending on the strength of the deck. To get 3 decks here for effectively 5 each is unbelievably good value (The 3 GX cards alone would be worth 2-3 each).
I started with this, and have since bought other cards, which have adapted and grown the strength of the decks I have.
All in all, its a good game. It is really a starter for getting into the Pokemon TCG, and to be honest, I couldn’t really recommend a better place to start. Great product, great value!
Before I bought this I had one goal, to get an umbreon of any rarity.
In this box I pulled an umbreon v, two other v’s and a bunch of other pretty playable cards so would definitely recommend but the one thing is that the booster packs are all evolving skies so if you’re wanting a diverse pull from a bunch of different sets then maybe try another product but if you’re just wanting a good pull on a set these sorts of boxes are excellent.
The deck sleeves are also really awesome.

I have ordered a few of these and on the whole they are great items with a good pull rate. I find my biggest issue is with handling, have had a box arrive that looked destroyed, someone obvs saw the damage. Amazon returns team are great and efficient but hassle non the less, especially if you see a rare beauty in that damaged pile
Well constructed, easy to use, however, beware of paper cuts, the edges of the album are so stiff i sliced myself multiple times while handling it. Will probably soften with use but wasn’t a pleasant experience.

On the game itself, you get a lot for your money. Well presented and all parts are made with quality materials that should last for years. There are 3 full decks of cards supplied. Novice players can start with those and get acquainted with the game itself. Those who are used to the TCG via app or via browser will be familiar with the format and will be able jump in straight away and be entertained by physically handling the various functions and a match will take longer than the electronic version. I’ve had a brilliant time with my kids playing the Pokemon TCG as a board game and I am sure we will be getting this back out often.

It was the first time I bought these kind of booster packs, and I got a Rayquaza in the second pull. Also the coin is not the same as advertised, it’s a Suicune, not a Dragonite. It’s still pretty cool, not gonna lie.

Authentic Pokmon cards with no tampering at all to any packaging. A lot of people worry about this, but I can assure you that there is to be no concern. This is my first time buying pokemon booster boxes and didn’t expect much out of it but was hoping for snorlax secret. However instead gone and pulled a card even better imo. Fast delivery, packs in perfect condition and I feel as though the bad reviews are people who were unlucky with their pulls and decided to take it out on the seller. Will definitely be buying more.

Lots of scary reviews on this product about tampered items. I chose to not purchase the cheapest option but a known card seller, Chaos Cards, whether that makes a difference, I don’t know, but arrived on time and got correct pulls including a vmax, not Tampered with like other people have mentioned.
Good value you get 5 packs 3 promo cards a note pad a coin and stickers. Although the packs are a bit meh you get 2 vivid voltage sun and moon base sword and shield base and sun and moon burning shadows I would have liked to see more vivid Voltage packs and less of the other sort but hey it was still fun opening them

Pulled the rainbow toxtricity vmax and dhelmise vmax in one pack. Also pulled cramorat v non-shiny (not pictured) good value for money would recommend.
for new collectors/relatives buying for presents:
amazon only displays the cheapest option on the main page- click “New (xx) from” to look through sellers if you intend to buy from amazon. even better to just buy from the seller directly if its available/you can afford the potential higher delivery time + cost. mine was from Titan Games UK and everything seemed fine, pressumably a trusted seller. writing this as there is a tonne of tampering/scalping out there and its much eaiser to fall into this trap if you buy immeditately and/or just pick the cheapest option displayed, in my case Titan Games UK option was <2 more than the seller displayed as default on the amazon.
other odd comments:
bought 2 (at random) and recieved 1 of each (evee + snorlax). both contained rayquaza coins instead of the mew coin shown in the image, i preferred the design on these actually. 1 pack had a yellow line at the bottom seal, 1 pack had the cards upside down in. to my knowledge, the packs in triple boosters tend to have slightly better pull rates than other options. given this, combined to other known manufacturing issues (such as the elite trainer box "error boxes"), i believe these minor alterations come from pokemon and not the seller mine came from.
Absolutely brilliant, pulled 2 secret rares from the 8 packs included. The box is also really nice and looks great for storage.

Great value starter set that includes everything you need to get going if you have no Pokemon cards or knowledge. To receive three full decks of sixty cards represents a bargain when you consider the price of booster packs that you might buy later. The instructions included are very clear, guiding through your first game. The game itself is quite fun though much depends on the luck you have in drawing your cards. There is a GX card in every deck that will steamroller the others, so our early experience is that whoever gets theirs out first will win the game as there is no obvious way to counter it. So the battles can be one-sided. That might be something to balance by getting additional cards to alter the decks. Overall a good entry for newcomers like me (and my son)

Bought this booster box of battle styles to draft with younger members of family, needless to say it went great and had good pulls also.
The box was pristine in officially sealed and not tampered with condition unlike amazon’s other TCG products.
This is a great box set for getting into playing the pokemon tcg. My son inherited lots of pokemon cards and wanted to start playing, this came with two guided decks and a third bonus deck. The manuals for each deck play you through a guided game and also has a more detailed rule book.
It’s so quick to get out, set up and put away after playing. It’s quickly become our go to family game due to the ease of set up and put away.
Child was happy with this and got a good card so he was happy.. a little cheer came out when he got the one he wanted.
Bought this for nostalgia reasons. Comes with stickers, notebook, unopened packs and a small card portfolio which fits cards back to back in it. Case looks really cool too and could be reused for something else.
This is fantastic for any Pokmon fanatics. Great value compared to the usual cards you can buy. Kids have hours of fun with it.
Fair price. The package was well protected and the cards were 100% damage-free.
The card art is fantastic to look at and maybe I got lucky with a gold card and 3 mega rares but I felt I got my moneys worth.
Would buy again if I am looking to complete my set.
However, the packs included within seem to have been tampered with. The packs were much less durable than other packs I’ve opened previously, and the code cards were backwards. Though, these may be normal for this series and I just don’t know about it. Also, in one pack all of the trainer and Pokemon cards were grouped together, which is highly unlikely (though possible) to occur normally.
Though even if they were tampered with, the code cards worked as usual, and there were still rare cards, so it has seemingly had no effect on the contents.
Overall, I’d say it was a good quality product, but just a little annoying knowing that someone had already opened them.
I’m always wary buying Pokemon cards from Amazon because I’ve had multiple orders be received with every packet opened however this was completely sealed and the packets contained a secret rare so had obviously not been weighed.
Arrived next day, please note I made sure I ordered from Amazon as the supplier due to seeing negative reviews in here of other suppliers. Product was sealed as we’re all the contents, I was lucky, I got several holos and a good mix of cards, I’d definitely order again.
I play this with my son regularly. He already has a supply of Pokemon cards, but the cards included in this starter set are sufficient. You can always add more cards later on if you think you need more, but we find the included cards are really enough. It is a lot of fun. Can only be played with two players. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. Even for adults 😉

This is amazing my little boy loves Pokemon and this teaches you how to play the card game and now we have had many hours of fun battling recommend to anyone who collected cards as a kid as this brings some fun memory’s back and now I can share that fun with my little lad and he now also plays the online game but the board game is better in my eyes.

I ordered some other Trainer, Supporter and Pokemon species as additional cards just to vary up the decks as it gets samey. Doing this, you can rotate which Pokemon you include and keep decks at x60.
I removed some Kangaskhan and Snorlax for example as you get a few of them, and for my preference added a Jolteon and a Blissey – the latter as you have Eevee/Espeon/!Flareon in the other decks, as well as Chansey.
There are some very fun Trainer cards out there. This box only includes “pick up cards” and “potion” kind or ones. That is fine, but include for my own preference added an Eviolite (really helps out those Basic Pokemon) and Super Energy Removal (if you want a card to really hold back EX as trust me, they’re otherwise going to sweep your entire team).
It comes with card packs, and a game,, I know nothing about the Pokemon universe but my three nephews, aged 3,6 and 8 , they loved it.
Bought this for my son who has some pokemon cards but is getting to the point where he wants to learn how to play. This is great value for money as it contains 3 full decks which cost around 12 each. Great value and I know my son will love this.

Great product! Through Amazon I didn’t know how good it’d be or if it would’ve been tampered with but box came completely airtight sealed with 3 sword and shield packs and an evolution pack in perfect condition. Got a nice Dragonite Evolution card as well. Would recommend!
With a Pokemon obsessed 7 year old we thought we’d give this a try and it has been a very worthwhile purchase. 3 complete decks and two “guide books” that talk you step by step through how to play meant we were quickly able to play with ease and I now understand the trading card game. It’s definitely worth keeping the decks intact as they are set to make sure you can play a full battle and then if you have an avid card collector they’ll soon be playing with their collection.
Kit is what it says it is… if your looking for special decks or elite cards for a collection then buy the packs.
Me and my daughter have a game almost every day, its ever easy to learn and pretty easy to master. I like the fact it has 3 decks not just 2.

As it had been so long and i didn’t have any decks, i wanted something to give me some variety as well as teaching my partner how to play.
Having 3 desks allows some variation and they are nicely balanced. we didn’t bother going through the whole guide where they guide you through a pre prepared step by step game (they have numbered cards in case you want to try it again) but i can see it being very useful for complete novices.
The board itself is nice and is an actual board game style construction rather than the usual paper forms.
All in all, good value for money and pleased to get back into it and more importantly pleased my partner enjoyed it.
I would recommend to any beginners or anyone who isn’t sure and doesn’t want to spend lots on specific themed decks.
The instructions are well written and have lots of pictures. We struggled to fully understand the game watching mutiple videos on youtube and found with the three sets of instructions we were quickly able to start a game and battle.
The kids loved it. The board itself is good quality and the counters and coin all seem well made and durable. The selection of cards is excellent. There is duplication of cards within the decks but you get the evolved forms of the base cards of pikachu, mewto and charizard. There are enough energy cards and trainer cards as well.
With three full decks the battle academy is excellent value and a firm base to grow your childrens card collections. My children aged 5, 7, 9 and 10 love i
