Well constructed, easy to use, however, beware of paper cuts, the edges of the album are so stiff i sliced myself multiple times while handling it. Will probably soften with use but wasn’t a pleasant experience.
Items is great but handling issues
I have ordered a few of these and on the whole they are great items with a good pull rate. I find my biggest issue is with handling, have had a box arrive that looked destroyed, someone obvs saw the damage. Amazon returns team are great and efficient but hassle non the less, especially if you see a rare beauty in that damaged pile

Perfect for a pair of novices (Pokemon battle academy)
I bought this to play with my 6 year old boy, after only recently buying my son a deck of Pokemon trading cards for 20euro plus I realised that we’d need another to have a proper game, after scouring Amazon and a few other websites looking for reasonably priced deck, I found this set which includes 3 decks with some classic Pokemon the board and some pretty expansive yet easy to understand instructions along with a few other bits and bobs essential to play we were playing in no time and my little lad was ecstatic in particular over the Charizard & Piccachu decks overall very happy with the contents and it all cost less the initial deck I bought a few days ago to begin with (much better value for money) and for set of novices pretty easy to figure out, would definitely recommend to other parents who have kids looking to get into Pokemon cards

It was the first time I bought these kind of booster packs, and I got a Rayquaza in the second pull. Also the coin is not the same as advertised, it’s a Suicune, not a Dragonite. It’s still pretty cool, not gonna lie.

Not Tampered with
Lots of scary reviews on this product about tampered items. I chose to not purchase the cheapest option but a known card seller, Chaos Cards, whether that makes a difference, I don’t know, but arrived on time and got correct pulls including a vmax, not Tampered with like other people have mentioned.

amazon only displays the cheapest option on the main page- click “New (xx) from” to look through sellers if you intend to buy from amazon. even better to just buy from the seller directly if its available/you can afford the potential higher delivery time + cost. mine was from Titan Games UK and everything seemed fine, pressumably a trusted seller. writing this as there is a tonne of tampering/scalping out there and its much eaiser to fall into this trap if you buy immeditately and/or just pick the cheapest option displayed, in my case Titan Games UK option was <2 more than the seller displayed as default on the amazon.

Great family game
My children are 5 and a 1/2 yrs old and we love it. We’d never played Pokmon before but after a few goes they’ve got the hang of it and can play all the rules. The three themed decks that come with it have enough variety to keep things interesting for long enough. The instructions include a play by play example using the included cards so it’s a nice way to quickly learn. Very glad I bought it.

Great for getting started playing
This is a great box set for getting into playing the pokemon tcg. My son inherited lots of pokemon cards and wanted to start playing, this came with two guided decks and a third bonus deck. The manuals for each deck play you through a guided game and also has a more detailed rule book.
It’s so quick to get out, set up and put away after playing. It’s quickly become our go to family game due to the ease of set up and put away.

Bought this for nostalgia reasons. Comes with stickers, notebook, unopened packs and a small card portfolio which fits cards back to back in it. Case looks really cool too and could be reused for something else.

Expensive but brand new, sealed, unweighed.
I’m always wary buying Pokemon cards from Amazon because I’ve had multiple orders be received with every packet opened however this was completely sealed and the packets contained a secret rare so had obviously not been weighed.

I play this with my son regularly. He already has a supply of Pokemon cards, but the cards included in this starter set are sufficient. You can always add more cards later on if you think you need more, but we find the included cards are really enough. It is a lot of fun. Can only be played with two players. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. Even for adults 😉

Wanted to get back into pokemon cards and this was the only tin that was close to rrp.

Love the Shining Fates ETB boxes, managed to get my hands on only 2, and haven’t been rewarded with anything too special as of yet – but there’s plenty of packages to get lucky on!

This is amazing my little boy loves Pokemon and this teaches you how to play the card game and now we have had many hours of fun battling recommend to anyone who collected cards as a kid as this brings some fun memory’s back and now I can share that fun with my little lad and he now also plays the online game but the board game is better in my eyes.

I ordered some other Trainer, Supporter and Pokemon species as additional cards just to vary up the decks as it gets samey. Doing this, you can rotate which Pokemon you include and keep decks at x60.
I removed some Kangaskhan and Snorlax for example as you get a few of them, and for my preference added a Jolteon and a Blissey – the latter as you have Eevee/Espeon/!Flareon in the other decks, as well as Chansey.
There are some very fun Trainer cards out there. This box only includes “pick up cards” and “potion” kind or ones. That is fine, but include for my own preference added an Eviolite (really helps out those Basic Pokemon) and Super Energy Removal (if you want a card to really hold back EX as trust me, they’re otherwise going to sweep your entire team).

Bought this for my son who has some pokemon cards but is getting to the point where he wants to learn how to play. This is great value for money as it contains 3 full decks which cost around 12 each. Great value and I know my son will love this.
I had a blast with this item. The board is sturdy, and all three decks are fun to play. I bought this to teach Pokemon TCG to my 6 year-old son and he loved it.
The decks are clearly the highlight of the product. They are built to provide you with enough card drawing mechanisms that you are never stuck with the cards you have in hand, and neither deck has a weakness to the other decks. The flavor of the decks are also slightly different to each other, with the Mewtwo deck featuring lots of Basic pokemon, Pikachu deck a lot of fast hitting stage one pokemon and the Charizard deck providing the best sweepers with a little bit of needed setup before they start sweeping.

Brilliant for any Pokemon fa
With a Pokemon obsessed 7 year old we thought we’d give this a try and it has been a very worthwhile purchase. 3 complete decks and two “guide books” that talk you step by step through how to play meant we were quickly able to play with ease and I now understand the trading card game. It’s definitely worth keeping the decks intact as they are set to make sure you can play a full battle and then if you have an avid card collector they’ll soon be playing with their collection.

I use to play Pokemon cards when i was a kid and at the age of 33 i had the urge to give it another go as i am a pokemon and board game fanatic.
As it had been so long and i didn’t have any decks, i wanted something to give me some variety as well as teaching my partner how to play.
Having 3 desks allows some variation and they are nicely balanced. we didn’t bother going through the whole guide where they guide you through a pre prepared step by step game (they have numbered cards in case you want to try it again) but i can see it being very useful for complete novices.
The board itself is nice and is an actual board game style construction rather than the usual paper forms.
All in all, good value for money and pleased to get back into it and more importantly pleased my partner enjoyed it.
I would recommend to any beginners or anyone who isn’t sure and doesn’t want to spend lots on specific themed decks.
I use to play Pokemon cards when i was a kid and at the age of 33 i had the urge to give it another go as i am a pokemon and board game fanatic.
As it had been so long and i didn’t have any decks, i wanted something to give me some variety as well as teaching my partner how to play.
Having 3 desks allows some variation and they are nicely balanced. we didn’t bother going through the whole guide where they guide you through a pre prepared step by step game (they have numbered cards in case you want to try it again) but i can see it being very useful for complete novices.

Excellent game clearly explains the rules easy to learn an lots of fun i play this with my nepthew an my brother. Most importantly i would highly recommend buying this if u are just starting out rather then choosing a trainer pack deck as those are more for collection.
The battle academy is excellent value. A very excited 5 year old who is pokemon obsessed opened the box to find full card decks for player one and player two, pikachu and charizard. It also contains an advanced deck with Mewto.
The instructions are well written and have lots of pictures. We struggled to fully understand the game watching mutiple videos on youtube and found with the three sets of instructions we were quickly able to start a game and battle.
The kids loved it. The board itself is good quality and the counters and coin all seem well made and durable. The selection of cards is excellent. There is duplication of cards within the decks but you get the evolved forms of the base cards of pikachu, mewto and charizard. There are enough energy cards and trainer cards as well.

Got it for my son’s 7th birthday and he loves it. I love it as it keeps the cards off my floor!
I bought this as a gift and considering some of the astronomical prices for other cover features I am extremely impressed how good this one looks up close at just 19.99. The person I got it for is delighted with the quality of the storage pockets inside too so, it ticks all the boxes as a well made product at a great price I would recommend to others.
