Very effective
It is drawing soo much water from my house it’s crazy! I didnt realise it was THAT damp. I have to empty it every 4 hours or so which doesnt bother me as it’s good it’s so effective. My energy bill has gone up but I’m not sure if this is because its winter and the heating is on more as I’m on a dual tariff.

Good unit, does the job - would buy agai
I bought it to help extract water from the air when I hang out clothes in the winter.
It does the job and. Is good unit. You can time how long it’s on for or alternative if it fills up it switches off.
Just remember to turn the unit off when you take the reservoir out otherwise it can still drip as the water is being condensed.
The noise is not a problem as you don’t notice it after a time.

It’s easy to use even for my mom … Is working good I noticed the difference.. for example o left outside a pice of bread and in the morning was so dry like one week old… It helps to dry clothes… And avoid fungals on the walls… And avoid the stin Frome shawer…

Great if you just use the tank and not the draining tube
Works well, giving a humidity reading. The fact it is on wheels is really helpful too, as I have it on in the bedroom during the day and in the living area at night. It has a tube to drain it without using the tank, but that involves removing a little tab from the tank. I tried this one night, putting the tube on as tightly as I could, but there was only a little in the bucket and the floor was wet. I ended up supergluing the tab I’d removed back on and just using the tank. I find by running it on low overnight I get almost a tank full the next day. So I’d say if you are just using the tank it’s a good buy.

Cleared up my damp problem
This is the first dehumidifier I have owned. I bought it because one part of the house was really damp and black mold began to appear in the corners and behind furniture. However, since installing the dehumidifier, all that has changed, with an end to the damp and its consequences. The unit is not exactly silent, but it’s not too bad. We sleep without undue disturbance in the next room. I’ve had it now for four months, with no problems at all. I run it in automatic mode. It removes about a litre a day of moisture, so that’s over 120 litres of damp I have avoided. I would certainly buy it again. One thing to note – I contacted the seller to ask a question about a flashing control light, and had no response. (PS – bought this on the amazon.fr site, so won’t show here as a Verified Purchase).

What an amazing gadget! Does extract an unbelievable amount of moisture -about 2 full tanks that is about 2.5l from a 2 bed flat/24hrs- while constantly displaying the humidity levels .Hopeful that it can help with damp. Glad with my purchase and would recommend this item.

Very efficient: needs emptying every day as it gets full. But only if you open the vent!

Received this dehumidifier last week.
First product was probably just a faulty one as it stopped working completely after half an hour.
I have contacted with Amazon first, and they were really helpful, get all the details for me from Purmate.
The next day Puremate was contacted with me, and Steph from customer care organized a swap for me with a brand new product.
I received it 2 days later, I have to say it was pretty smooth they collected the old one as well.
I had a 5 star service with their costumer service!! Really helpful and efficient! A+++
The Puremate Pm412 looks well and it is a really smart device.
Left it rest for a day after delivery to make sure i give enough time to the dehumidifier.
I have it run for 2 days now and the amount of the water been collected is amazing.
The quality of the air is so much better and the damp feeling when I touch the bedsheet is gone now!
I really like the settings on it and the display is really good.
Also the drying function is great! Not even a day and i have my shirts dried.
It has two fan settings so you can use it in your bedroom.
Im a good sleeper so on the low settings I could easily sleep, similar sound as a refrigerator.
And last but not least…
It is using 0.04!!! An hour so cost nothing to run 24/7 obviously you dont need to let it run all
The time but if you do run 8 hours daily, cost you around 2 extra a week so it is really good on electricity.
I was a bit hesitating to get this device but now i am really pleased with it.
Highly recommended if you looking to get a great product with a reasonable price tag.

Purchased few months ago it’s been switched on majority since I purchased it . Dried damp wall out completely. Works very well . Alarm goes when water tank full and switches it’s self off which is good . It is a little loud tho but still very satisfied

This is not a problem for me as I am using it in continuous mode I have mounted it beside the sink in my caravan to keep it dry. I took the wheels off as the machine is light enough to lift easily and without wheels it is more stable. So far it has worked well. I particularly liked the display that showed the relative humidity. I set the machine to 50% and this seems to work well. I keep a small anti frost heater running during the cold weather as my last dehumidifier died when it froze up. I would recommend this machine.

Great little machine i used this as soon as it arrived what a difference it made i could not believe there was as much moisture in the air and the washing was drying a lot quicker there is a hose supplied with it i would recommend using it if machine is on for long periods of time My grandson was amazed at the amount of water it collected i had to order another one the following day

It’s on wheels, which makes it very easy to move around, and is slimline, so can easily fit into a small recess. On the lowest setting, I’ve found no trouble sleeping with it left on. I really can’t recommend it highly enough.

(c) the outlet nozzle was higher – it’s about 25cm from the ground, and the instructions say the hose must be lower than the outlet.

Love this dehumidifier its well built looks very stylish and iwas surprised at how much water was taken from my living room.
It was delivered on time in fact i think it was a day earlier than than stated on my order, however i did have a slight issue with digital readout screen and i got in touch with customer services and they were very helpfull and they did supply me with a brand new unit, cant praise them enough and i would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a dehumidifier.

Compact and powerful ionizer and dehumidifie
This dehumidifier is quiet and powerful for it’s compact size. It doesn’t dominate the room and it just sits there quietly doing the job. It also has an in built ioniser so the other reason I bought this model was it helps to keep the pollen down. Im very pleased with this efficient dehumidifier.

Bought this as the humidity was terrible after a knock-through downstairs.Windows were dripping with condensation on cold mornings. 2 teatowels were being used to clear the water off windows.
after 1 week of use the whole house was completely different. it is not what i call quiet but it is not loud either. the low power use is good but i guess that it is relative to requirements.
cleaning the filter is easy and emptying the water container is simple HOWEVER the one negative point is the poorly designed ‘full container’ sensor. it is a pivoted float system which activates when the rising water level pushes the float contact away the contact at top of tank. heres the problem, the float is a little tiny bath on a pivot…why?? a little splash of water when moving the ‘portable’ dehumidifier will prevent pivot working. bizzare design and such an obvious problem. a few times the machine has continued to work when the tank was full …. the overflowing water drips outside onto the floor. again, stoopid design fault and i really cant see the reason for it. (see pic)
but that said i am happy with the machine in the price range but next time i might go for a more powerful model.

Item arrived a day early. Well packed. Plugged it in & it started to work immediately. Within 20 mins the humidity level of room had improved greatly. Don’t find the fan noise too intrusive but it might be for some if you are using it in a bedroom overnight or lounge when you are in it. Overall I would recommend it.

Don’t find the fan noise too intrusive but it might be for some if you are using it in a bedroom overnight or lounge when you are in it. Overall I would recommend it.

Wow! I love this it really does what it claims to do. I have had this product for just a week and i think it is great especially because it filters the air as well. I live in a remote rural local surrounded by growing crops and the humidity and air borne spores are mostly high, i do use a air purifier anyway, but this product has just made the whole bungalow which has nine large rooms feel so much better the air and surroundings are so much fresher. I suffer from respiratory problems but i can honestly say my breathing has been better since using this product. The humidity levels have lowered significantly, i recommend this product, i would buy again without hesitation.

I bought this to combat the condensation problems we were having and the black mold that was starting to take hold in our flat.
Firstly, it worked, the flat is nice and dry now, my son’s asthma symptoms have all but disapeared.
It’s about as noisy as a desk fan, and as big and heavy as some well stuffed airplane carry on luggage.
Construction could be better, there’s some white tape holding the seam together on one side and removing the water tank is a fiddly procedure as it catches going in and out and is of course usually brimming with water, if I asked one of my teenage kids to empty it I have no doubt the water tank would be broken by now. The filters are a bit rubbish, so dust is building up on the radiator fins inside, not sure how I’m going to get that clean.
Electrical consumption is ok, hasn’t really been a noticable difference and we run the thing all the time.
Overall I’m happy with this, it’s made a massive difference, changing a clammy damp enviroment into a nice warm dry flat, reccomended.

Dehumidifier is something I should have bought along time ago!!
Arrived on time and very well packed. The dehumidifier is quiet and does a very good job while at the same time cleans the air! A must to have in your home.
Excellent, exceeded expectation. The industry norm of claiming very high moisture removal rates under extreme conditions never encountered in the uk needs to be delt with by our trading standards regulators. Look on Google before you buy to work out what you can realistically expect.

No more condensation problems
Highly delighted with this item, we were having problems with condensation, due to high levels of humidity, but this seems to have cured it. Neat and compact design which does not take up too much space and the appearance is good

This product replaced a faulty unit of a different design. The quality of the product is much higher and is working quietly without any issues.

What a fantastic job this machine does. I suffer from cpod. Lung disease and this little beauty is fitted with a inoniser. Taking the bugs and spores. Can well recommend as a fantastic dehumidifier.

A bit too noisy
We chose this model because it is one of the more compact ones. Have been quite pleased with it’s performance but find the fan extremely noisy. Consequently, we tend not to leave it running if we are in the vicinity! Maybe it’s a case of ‘pays yer money, takes yer choice’! It does however, seem to extract a lot of moisture from the atmosphere when we do have it running. Collection tank easy to empty. We have used it a lot to speed up drying the laundry. Quite effective but there is no facility to change the direction of the air flow.

Working great so fa
Ionising feature was the clincher. Working great so far, been using for 5 weeks in seaside basement flat. The whole place is so much better and speeds up washing dry times in this miserable weather! Totally recommended!
Got this on Saturday switched it in my kitchen for a hr and it was half full of water . I wasn’t cooking at the time . Fantastic product . On sunday after noon I put it on the upstairs landing i opend the 3 bedroom doors and about 3hr it was full . Im realy pleased with this product . It worked fine but a fault developed the return service was 1st class.
I have it in the loft and it works perfekt. The amount of water extracted is stunning and exactly as promised. Settings are easy to adjust. Also it turns off when temperatur drops below 5 degree. Important to mention is the low noise level.

Powerful dehumidifier and ionizer but higher noise level than expected.
We got this dehumidifier/ionizer for our small studio which was very humid, had mold in the window panes and to help dry washed clothes. The unit has been in regular use for the past few weeks and it is certainly a powerful dehumidifier for our studio. Clothes usually dry out in a day whereas before it takes 3-4 days due to general dampness in the flat. After cleaning the mold and using the dehumidifer regularly, it hasn’t returned (yet). We’re finding that the ionizer also helps with removing cooking odours and we have it on whilst cooking to help control the humidity also. The company claims that the ionizer type is the one that generates ‘negative’ ions which is good. I presume and hope there is no ozone generated by this unit, which is bad for health. Whilst this is a good unit, the biggest drawback for us is that we’re unable to use it whilst sleeping at night due to a higher level of noise than we expected. The noise level generated by the unit is just that bit louder to cause sleep disturbance–it might work better placed in a seperate room. The claimed 43 dB noise level suggests it is only slightly louder than a refrigerator which generates around 40dB noise, but it feels louder. Anyway, due to this we can’t have it on in the sleeping room where we have big problems with misting/condensation on the single glazed windows after a night’s sleep and as a double whammy, electricity rates are lower during night hours and we can’t take advantage of that. For these reasons, whilst we like the unit for it’s power and other useful features, it’s usability is limited for us.

I do like this product as it ionises the air and displays the humidity, but I was slightly mislead by the 12 litre mention in the product description. It is 1.2 litre.
I have never owned a Dehumidifier before so I really have nothing to compare this to. I know that if I leave it on here in my home, it starts to really collect water fast which means its definitely working. In my smaller room it brings the humidity level down from 55% to 40% in like an hour tops. In the big living room it won’t get >40 but that’s probably because we have a few windows that suck and outside air is allowed in constantly through them.
The machine is super solid and built with supreme quality. Love the sliding wheels which makes it easy to take different places in your home with ease. I think, direct drain for continuous operation would best for 24/7 running this machine as its come with drain pipe 60cm inside the box.
I am really happy with this purchase and I will surely come back to leave a review if anything changes.

Bought this unit a few weeks back as I had noticed a couple of black mold spots in the top corner of my bedroom, this coupled with the fact that it looked like someone had emptied a glass of water down the inside of my window every morning made me think a dehumidifier would be useful.
Since buying it has dried out the bedroom, we have it on overnight and both my wife and I have had better sleeping patterns and not a drop of condensation on the window in the morning, it almost fills the 2 litre tank running overnight with both of us but I couldn’t be happier with it. The air feels warmer in the room too as an added benefit, even if the heating has not been on.
