Worth the money. Got a cheap one and broke within the week. This just keeps going and is powerful.

I bought two 5.0Ah batteries to bolster up power for my ryobi collection which is ever growing. They are best used in the more power draining tools like the recip saw and garage vac cleaner, as these both drain smaller batteries really quickly. They are very well made and if they last half as long as my other 1.5Ah, 2.5Ah and 4.0Ah batteries, I will be a happy man. They are definitely overpriced for the UK market, but then what isn’t? They are half this price in the states and if you want a 9.0Ah version you have to shell out 170 sheets. Not a chance!

The best battery
This battery is a must have for all of the Ryobi One + power tools. Get this with the charger and you have an absolute powerhouse. I’ve never even depleted one of these batteries on any job I’ve had to do. A sound investment.
Started well but stopped working, then started working agai
Was great in the beginning but after 3 months it stopped working. Three days later tried it again and it worked. Maybe intermittent fault. When its working its great.

Thus is a good battery for the Ryobi products. It’s quick to charge and hoods it well as long as it has been taken off the item your using it on. I like the power indicator on this model so you can easily see how much charge there is left before starting anything rather than getting half way through and it giving up. Would recommend this battery .
Good quality batteries
I got 2x 5.0 mAh batteries to use mainly with my new lawn mower.
They charged ok and seem to last a long time.
No complaints apart from maybe being a little expensive.
better than the old one
bought this to replace my ryobi 2.4ah, defunct after 11 years. It charges in my (even older) ryobi charger and takes about 25% longer to fully charge than the old battery – to compensate, working time is about 25% longer. No idea if the cheaper – non Ryobi – batteries are better or worse but as the old ryobi battery lasted for 11 years of punishment…..
And its lighter.. not much but noticeable with a hedge trimmer.

Does the job
Bought the 4amp because it was no difference in price over lower capacity batteries. Glad I did because I’m not considering investing in other power tools and I’m confident this will keep them going for hours.
Can’t comment on battery life or longevity yet because I’ve only had this a few hours.

Only just bought it, looks good. Could not open its wrapping
The transporter bashed in the Amazon box terribly.
The plastic casing on battery was virtually impossible to open, took over quarter of an hour wrestling hacking sawing, cutting. Should have tried a blow torch.
But the battery was intact and was pre charged for testing. I gave it a full charge and it looks good.

You’ll see plenty of reviews on the different tools that putting in a 5Ah battery “makes it more powerful” – it doesn’t do this, in the same way as putting a bigger fuel tank in a car doesn’t change the motor, it just lets it run for longer.

Fantastic Battery
I used this 5AH to pair with my Strimmer & Leaf blower for the garden. My garden is roughly 200sqm and once I have done the edges with the strimmer & leaf blowed the patio down the battery generally only moves down 1 bar / 2 at the very most.
Solid construction, battery life indicator, Not too heavy – great product all around as has been my experience with Ryobi so far.

Never used Ryobi products before, purchased the 5mAH battery for a strimmer and the battery last for so long that I can strum my grass at least 5 times before it goes flat. Would recommend
Worth paying a bit more for genuine Ryobi batteries
Tried some other after market batteries but had to send them back as they just did not work. The genuine Ryobis work a treat.

I got these on a business prime deal. They were ok but then 3 of them have died. They were bought at different times in the year. I was very disappointed and amazon refused to replace but only refund me and then lost one battery which I was not refunfed for. I suspect these were not genuine items and have come from a secondary seller.Ryobi with not entertain any warranty claims if i bought them off amazon even though they were new! I would not really recommend them due to this. Becarefull as some items are fakes….

Heavy but longer run time worth the weight.
Its heavy, but what can you expect for 5Ah capacity. Used on angle grinder it last so much longer than my smaller batteries. It was cheaper than buying two 2.5 Ah units, probably due to the weight, but it works well for me.
Good when time is money.
Typically battery powered tools are only as good as the battery. Ok its pricey but it lasts well and doesn’t add a whole load of weight compared to the 2.4Ah one the tool came with.

SO i picked this up and it lasted long enough for me to finish the garden. also using it on my power tools is fine but this obviously adds weight so if using with a drill consider that.
The only downside (and there really is only 1) is its so damn pricey! but once you pick one up, then you only really need the tool from there on in and plug this and go.

I brought this instead of gambling with the alternatives on offer and I’m not sorry, it powers my Ryobi One Plus hedge trimmer and some with no problems, highly recommend.

Extra battery for ryobi glue gu
Bought for my hubby as a second battery for his glue gun. Very happy as he now always has a fully charged battery if working with glue gun for long periods of time.

I only use the 5Ah batteries and find them powerful and long lasting, get a Ryobi RC18150 fast charger and you’ll be full charge in an hour!

Definitely a good addition to the oneplus range. Charge and go for a lot longer than the smaller batteries in the range. Necessary for longer periods of DIY and gives a nice weight to the tools
Don’t be fooled by cheaper alternatives.
It is expensive but don’t be fooled by cheaper aftermarket batteries. They don’t last so you end up paying more than the cost of this one which is dependable so you’ll never be left stranded at a job.

I only had 2 small batteries and they didn’t last very long. Also I have 6 Ryobi tools so I needed additional batteries. This is great, lasts a very long time.

Product used to power Ryobi lawnmower..love lawnmower but not enamoured of battery life. Was always led to believe that once recharged, after use, lithium batteries held charge until needed again. This seemed not to be the case. Otherwise, it runs well..obviously will have to plan usage differently.

Bought the battery for use with a Ryobi strimmer but since used with a newly purchased pole hedge trimmer. Excellent performance, completed both sides and top of a hedge 10m long by 3m high and the battery didn’t run out, which I thought it would.
Don't bother with the smaller sizes
Although I wouldn’t say these batteries cheap they are worth the extra run time using the 18+ tool range. This is especially so when using the brushless chainsaw tool which has a particularly heavy current drain. It’s worth watching the Amazon page as from time to time they are reduced in price quite considerably. These offers don’t last for long so you have to act immediately. I’ve saved over 12 each on the normal price at least a couple of times in the past.

These batteries are to replace 2 x 1.4Ah batteries that I have been using for 10 years (DIY use only).
The 2 x 2.0Ah batteries that I purchased are slightly smaller, lighter and more powerful than the ones they replaced.
Charged them up OK when they arrived and all working fine, I hope they last as long as the old ones

A great battery for the Ryobi one tools. I bought this to use on my Ryobi 1/2″ impact gun and it really transformed the tool. The included 2Ah batteries worked fine but I felt the tool was struggling a bit when trying to open the tighter nuts. Adding the 5Ah brings the tool into a different level, not only does it have a lot more power but it lasts a good deal longer too.
Purchased this battery along with charger (Ryobi RC18120 18V ONE+ Compact Charger) at the same time due to not being compatible with earlier charger. Fits the earlier (Blue Tools eg. Drill Model CDI-1800, + Jigsaw) needed new batteries as original ones that came with drill & jigsaw combo set stopped holding their charge. Haven’t used it in earnest but all looking promising, took ~ 30 mins to fully charge the battery from being on 1bar residual charge that was in battery from delivery.

Powerful battery, you can feel the extra strength it provides on any of the Ryobl products. Probably best on the heavy duty products as feels clunky and heavy on products such as the lower end sanders. Overall excellent.

Went for this rather than the largest 5.0ah battery as the cost was a bit much on that one.
It took aaaaaages to charge, but lasts a long time – this thing is an absolute UNIT.
Considerably larger and heavier than the standard batteries included with most ryobi tools, so take that into account.

Awesome battery when used with the fast charger, but shame on you Ryobi for choosing to package it in such awful, sharp, nasty single use plastic. It took ages to cut it out of the nasty blister plastic and I felt so environmentally unfriendly.

Needed a third battery for my Ryobi One tools, decided to get genuine Ryobi battery to keep performance same as original batteries. I always use the 5.0 Ah packs for good run time and power.

Gave my drill a new lease of life, before getting this it would struggle to drive screws into hard wood and drill concrete, not any more, it now works like a dream
