Basically it does what it’s meant to without any problems.
If using the hose extended it can topple over but other wise it has good reach.
Decent length power cable.
We now have 2, one upstairs & one downstairs, reason as saves carrying up & down.
Better than the other brand.
Excellent for pet hair. I have a German shepherd and I can honestly tell it’s wonderful for cleaning. A bit on the heavy side, but not too much. The car cleaning kit that came included is also very good. You won’t waste your money if you buy one.
Most fantastic suction powe
On first use, just around the living room rug and hard floor the amount of dirt it picked up filled about 1/4 of the vac. I then tried my bedroom carpet and was blown away as it completely filled it up. Amazing machine. Fully recommend – only wish the cord was a bit longe
It’s Ok … but it’s not a Dyson!
I was apprehensive about moving away from a Dyson after 25 years but after being disappointed in their cordless model I decided it was time for a change.
The pros of the Shark is that it has really good adjustable suction and it is great for hard and carpeted floor with a switch to adjust between the two. I thought the headlights would be a bit of a gimmick but they are actually quite useful for showing up bits under tables etc.
The cons are that it’s just a really clumsy design. The power button is a long way from the handle, the hose easily comes unclipped and flaps around, the whole machine feels too narrow for how bulky it is. You can’t just quickly use the hose without unclipping the whole lift-away dust unit because it easily over-balances and falls over. When you do use the lift-away part it’s hard to line back up to click back in again. The dust collection section has a very small capacity so needs emptying a lot.
Would I get another one? Probably not but it’s not bad for the price and it does the job for now.

This as been engineered properly and designed by someone that as though about it .

Lighter weight than my last one .

Heavy but good
Great suction power, I didn’t realise how rubbish my previous vacuum was until I got this. The lift off is great for doing stairs or hard to reach places. Love the headlights on it and it has a decent length cord. It has so many different ways of using it that it’s easy to forget about them. It is a lot heavier than expected and the dust cylinder is tiny but it’s very easy to empty so worth the minor inconvenience of having to empty it a few times, I blame the dog! Would certainly recommend though

I have had many a Dyson and Vax (all of which were sold as being the ‘Animal’ Version and couldn’t really cope) but my Shark is my number one choice. It took a while to get used to the mobile sweeper head but I soon got to grips with it and found it much more versatile to use. I LOVE the lights on the cleaning head – I had no idea the amount of dust on my hard floors could accumulate so quickly (but then I do live with a passle of cats). Very strong suction on the maximum setting, especially noticeable on carpets, but you can adjust the section level if it is too strong. Surprisingly low noise level. Very easy to detach the required parts for stairs, tools, emptying etc. Very pleased and will buy a Shark again if I ever need to.

We have been using the dyson ball animal version for nearly 10 years. Some of the parts were replaced as part of wear and tear but eventually it started to become too noisy even after cleaning all the filters and any replaceable parts so decided to go for most talked about the vaccum cleaners.

I like how powerful it is. some people said it can lift your carpet, yes that is correct. when you are using on a carpet make sure you test the areas first on a slow speed before increasing the suction speed. We use it at 50% to avoid lifting the carpet, but some areas we change it to 100% power
also, to make a note that you reduce the speed on the vynl floors, indeed it will pull that too.
we do use full power on the hard floors and works fine.
I feel it is quite heavy compared to the old one i had.
We have started to use the additional attachment for matterss and works like a treat.
One funky thing comes with is 2 led lights so you can see the dust more closely with bright lights :). I think it is just a gimmick LOL, doesn’t help me, but unfortunately there is no option to switch it off.
is easy to lift and empty the waste compartment.
and of course it is very nice a quite too.

Love my Shark...
Never thought I’d say that having been traumatised by Jaws since childhood. However, I speak of the vacuum cleaner. I have two hounds, one of which is one fur monster. The Shark has amazing suction power. I LOVE the pet attachment which does the stairs and furniture super-fast. The head is narrower than my previous Shark, but still does the job admirably. I love this machine and recommend it highly.

We were using a Henry hoover before investing in this one and I am SO glad we did, it’s miles better; the suction is fantastic and the attachments also great, the dusting attachment is very handy for general cleaning. I suffer with a lot of allergy symptoms including dust and have seen large improvements in my day to day symptoms since purchasing this hoover. We also have two cats and it is excellent in removing pet hair from the carpets and other hair, the hair wrap feature makes it stress free to empty. I have some mobility issues also as I suffer from carpel tunnel syndrome and have found this hoover is suitable for me, possibly also due to the fact the suction is so excellent that I’m not having to go over the carpet multiple times like I would have done with previous hoovers so the hoovering time is halved in the very least.

This is the first time I have purchased an expensive hoover but I am very impressed. It was really easy to put together and there are multiple parts to it. The first use on my bedroom carpet absolutely shocked me, I thought my carpet was clean but it pulled a massive load of dust and debris out. I love the hoover and I would definitely buy Shark again, but I have dropped one star, this is because the hoover is very heavy and I sometimes have a good workout while trying to manoeuvre it around, especially on carpet, and there is a nobble on the hose that fits in to the handle to keep it out of the way when using, and try as I might I cannot get it to stay put, it just keeps dropping out. Overall though it is a very good purchase.

I have been using a cordless cleaner for years but was disappointed with the battery life so decided to go back to a corded one and was definitely NOT disappointed with the shark. It’s suction is brilliant and it’s not too heavy. Highly recommend this .

This Vacuum is lightweight and has great suction power, it separates into smaller parts for tighter areas, emptying the drum is easy and quick, would definitely recommend!!

Not suitable if you've got young kids and I'll explain why.
I like the suction power, it’s way better than my other Hoover’s, I like that you can use the stick of the hoover with the different attachments. It’s fairly easy to clean. BUT
It’s very bulky and heavy, like extremely heavy. I accidentally dropped it on my foot once and I swear it almost broke my foot it’s not suitable if you’ve got young kids because it doesn’t take much for it to get knocked over, and if that fell on your child they would be badly injured. You can’t really do the stairs with it because it is that bulky that it would fall off the stairs, it’s super loud, so no hoovering when the kids are napping, the cord gets tangled up quite easily. Overall a good hoover in terms of suction power and cleaning power however comes with a fair few disadvantages aswell
Amazing suction.
We have had this for a few months and have decided to give it 5 stars. As we have used it loads on carpets and hard floors, it does an amazing job. The suction is top quality and you may find that you need to turn it down with the red suction control. It is a powerful beast! Easy to empty when you have worked it all out. We have also used it for the car and it did a super job. Worth every penny, we would recommend this product to anyone. This model was recommended to us by several friends, so glad we got one too.

Have had Dyson’s for as many years as I can remember – the big yellow one, the light ball one then the cordless V6 animal. This surpasses the lot. Only finally unpacked it today. After cleaning my bedroom carpet yesterday, the photo shows what it has picked up today. The suction is amazing. It’s managed to pick up all the bits of hair that were almost ground into the carpet (yuck). The only downside is it’s weight. It’s a heavy thing to move, especially after the light cordless one, but the cleaning job is unlike any I’ve had before. Absolutely love it. I quite like the lights when it’s on too! Not tried it on the stairs yet so can’t comment on that but I don’t think it’ll disappoint.

Great vacuum
Amazing vacuum. My dog sheds like there’s no tomorrow and picks up all the hair and separates it easily.
Yes, it is a little heavy to start with but you get used to it.
For stairs, make sure you detach the motor section from the upright stand, there is ample cord to get to all the stairs that way.
Also, I found the normal small ‘wide’ adaptor picks up the dog hair almost as well as the pet adaptor. Seeing as there is nowhere to ‘store’ the pet adaptor on the vacuum, I wouldn’t worry too much unless you really feel that your furniture needs it.
Fabulous hoover!
This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. I have two black-haired dogs and the hair on the carpets is insane. Neither of my previous vacuums picked up the hairs without going over the same spot over and over again. Hoovering took ages. The Shark does the job in one pass and the carpets have been transformed. The dust capsule needs emptying regularly, but the release and empty mechanism is so easy that that’s no problem. I am so happy with this vacuum cleaner, I just wish I’d bought it sooner. (I haven’t used it on the stairs yet so can’t comment on ‘stairs performance’.)

I’ve had my Shark vacuum cleaner about 3 weeks it’s marvellous so easy to use and to empty out into the bin and so easy to liftoff to use for under the beds and doing the curtains we have no stairs
wow! believe the hype
bought to replace my old hoover, ( which was doing my head in ), I didn’t believe all hype about this vacuum, its head isn’t as wide as my old one and it slightly heavier as well, but the smaller head make it more maneuverable and the little headlights are functional as well as cute , it breaks down into various parts for different tasks, mainly pet hair and partners long hair that used to wrap around the old hoovers brush. I bought it while on sale over Xmas holidays making it a more reasonable price. I’m really pleased with it, its high quality and functional, but I wouldn’t have paid the full price

Amazon came to my rescue. Just two days before going away for Christmas my existing Shark gave up the ghost and my urgent search began. My new Shark arrived in time and what an amazing vacuum it is. So powerful am absolutely delighted.
Fantastic all round vacuum
Wow, I would like to shake the hand of the engineers that designed this vacuum cleaner as they did a fabulous job. It has great suction and is so easy to detach go mobile and do the stairs or hard to reach places. We have two dogs and two cats and it certainly does a great job in helping us keep their shedding in check and is so easy to clean and maintain. The size of the collection container is slightly on the small side but it is so easy to empty due to the great overall design, and unless your house is massive, it is a design and practicality compromise that makes total sense when you own one and I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

The previous one, dare I say it , a dyson, has always been rubbish,but my wife wanted one, so many bends in the collection pipe, this Shark is excellent, suction power , the tools , the flexability , it’s great.
If I had to moan , the it would be about the size of the collection bucket but hey, I can live with that.

I’ve had dysons for years and thought they were brilliant but I was convinced into buying this shark hoover,it’s incredible, the suction is really powerful,it gets every last pet hair up even ones I couldn’t see!it is fairly heavy to push but I think that’s because of the suction power – the lift away option makes the hoover feel a lot lighter.it also works brilliantly on hard floors. All in all I’m really impressed with everything about this hoover!
