Easy, Money Saving & Great Help Environmentally
I purchased because of the price increases in the supermarkets for Pepsi Max and to help reduce single use plastics, a pack of bottled water increased by 10% last week and an 8 pack of Pepsi by the same, I have worked out that this soda machine is going to pay for itself within about 4 weeks in my home and my recycling will be reduced dramatically to boot, makes sense financially and environmentally.

A bit clunky and you need to handle with care but good once you get things right.
Sparkling water for days
Used to buy San pell every week but was spending way to much and didn’t like the plastic waste. Soda stream was a great replacement and love how it takes me less than a minute to make a fizzy water straight from the tap. You can also choose how much c02 you want which is good because a lot of products on the market are to gassy in my opinion.

I haven’t tried adding flavours yet, just wanted to have sparkling water when I wanted it. So far it’s been perfect, easy to set up and use, haven’t needed to change the gas yet so cannot comment on the ease of that process. Would recommend.

Not so keen on the interface between bottle and gas unit. I think a lot of gas is escaping during fill up.
I remember the old unit needing a quarter turn to lock the bottle in place b4 gassing and this felt a lot more secure.

Bought this for my kitchen, as my autistic son has favoured sparkling water since we exchanged it for fizzy pop which less sugar going in his system the better!
As pandemic kicking off and shortages of CO2 shortages happening and driving around all my local villages to find sparkling water was getting abit ridiculous to be honest & don’t even talk about the space that 2 litre bottles took up in my pantry and cupboards were just ridiculous!
My partner did try to sway me not to buying it saying his mum had one in the 80’s and it wasn’t that good, I took a chance after reading others reviews and NO REGRETS! The co2 canisters can be bought on subscription so I don’t forget & added convenience is to take them to get refilled.

Misleading
Included gas bottle does not come with credit code. So it is not possible to get the discounted refill. Contacted seller and they just said that that is the way it is. I feel conned. Love the sodastream. Works well. I shall buy an extra cylinder that can be exchanged but this isn’t how it appeared. Don’t buy from Red-Rock UK through amazon.

Fun and tasty Soda type drinks.
A present for my wife who had one when she was younger. She uses it daily and it puts a smile on her face when she uses it. The drinks are delicious too.
Hidden problem to be aware of
This does the job perfectly but I found an annoying quirk.
The gas cylinder works loose and gives the impression that the cylinder is running out.
I took off the rear panel and the cylinder was wobbling about!
I tightened it and normal service resumed, this has happened several times, I warned our daughter when she was about to exchange hers. She got another two months use after tightening it.

Really great, bubbles-up-your-nose, lively soda water in seconds, and most important, cut your plastic pollution footprint to near zero. I just use tap water, but you could create sparkling mineral waters for the table which don’t even exist yet! Each gas tank lasts weeks using a couple of pints of soda water most nights, so way cheaper than shop bought, plus you don’t have to carry heavy bottles home, and once again: YOU GET TO SAVE THE PLANET!!!

Get the technique righ
Sick of buying sparkling water because of the plastic. Was initially disappointed as the sparkle was negligible. However, I have cracked it. You need to depress the button for the 2 seconds at least, when you release the button you can still hear a hissing sound for a few seconds. 3 depressions are long enough for a great fizz! Another useful fact is that the colder the water the better the fizz, but bottles of water in the refrigerator first.

Without doubt the best fizzy water I’ve ever watched other people drink. Last time I used one of these was 1978 and it resembled an iron lung. This is a big step up. When we hear someone pressing the carbonization button as a family we all shout ‘Han Solo’!

Bought this to increase my intake of water. This is simple to use and does not require any plugs or battery. I leave it in my cupboard so it doesn’t take much space. The device is very light too and the gas part is long lasting. The quality of the bibles depends on how many times you press the button. I like my water super bubbly so I go for 6 push but 5 is fine too! It helps reduce the purchases of bottled water or soda so good for your pocket money and for the environment.

Just received my Sodastream Spirit, as I love fizzy water, but finding it increasingly difficult to get hold of it, so thought I would give the Sodastream a try! It’s not as hard as some of the reviews are it out to be..
Inserting the gas canister was very easy, after a quick read of the instructions, I gave a try, inserting the bottle was no problem. I found pressing the button about 4- 5 times, for 2 seconds each press, for the best amount of fizz. Don’t press the button immediately either. Removing the bottle was as easy as inserting. I find I put the bottle in the fridge, very refreshing! Highly recommended.

Light and compact soda maker. Doesn’t need to be plugged in and take only little space on the counter. The only thing that I noticed is that sometimes the gas bottle will somehow get a little loose, so I’ll have to open the back to tighten it..
Easy to use for quick sparkling wate
I prefer sparkling water with diluting juice so bought this to cut down on plastic waste. It gives sparkling water in 3 although I prefer 5 presses. Makes 880ml not a litre but the 60l canister seems to last reasonably well. You can use use it anywhere in your home as it is mechanical no electricity required. It is a bit more expensive than buying 2ltr bottles though, make sure you sign up to the Sodastream plan if you want the lowest price for the refills although you can buy them anywhere and exchange your empties in some Argos stores.

I do not usually provide reviews but have decided to in this instance because of the hugely variable reviews I read many of which were downright dismissive of the product and inclined to put me off purchasing it.
i did, and am perefectly happy with it. I do not have to wade through litres of plastic bottles which is a big plus. I have not used SodaStream flavours so have not rated these. When i want flavour I use cordials which work fine. In a high volume (big family) environment I accept that continuous delivery may be an issue.
I can only assume that negative reviews by other parties are because they have difficulties adhering to the instrucions given. I use three shots per bottle which provides me with adequate fizz even when this is not consumed straight away. Glad I purchased!

Had considered one of these for a while to make sparking water rather than buying pre made bottles. It works great, easy to use and good end result for drinks.

The gas that came with the equipment is already gone after I filled a few bottles, I’m uncertain if I left if leaking somehow or it was a not fully filled cylinder, for my luck I had already ordered a second cylinder and replaced this morning, let’s see if this one holds up to the promise of 60l.

Lo faccio funzionare in combinazione con sistema filtrante aquasan(in foto, il filtro attaccato al rubinetto).
Premetto che l’acqua dalle mie parti ha durezza mediobassa( dati ricavabili dal sito acquedotto pugliese). Il filtro aquasan elimina eventuali residui di sabbia, calcare ed altro. Bottiglia in dotazione riempita con acqua presa dal frigorifero a 3 gradi, appena oltre l’indicazione degli 840 ml, tre gasature di un secondo l’una intervallate da due secondi di fermo per ogni premuta/gasatura. Risultato sorprendente. Ultimo riempimento ore 14. Aggiorneremo la recensione per vedere quanto dura la gasatura in frigo.

It was very valued for money
I like the good shape, because I don’t have to much of space. I make soda water every day. I miss just one thing that no any signal when you added enough of CO2. You don’t know that’s enough or not. But by time you can used to it. For this price it’s perfect.

The people giving bad reviews is probably because they are not doing it properly. This is not helped by,the useless instructions from Sodastream
Using silly little drawings that don’t inform properly. I had teething troubles at first but got properly informed by YouTube.
Here’s how to do it.
Fill the bottle to the line.
Pull the infuser out into the filling position.
Place the bottle over the infuser right up to the top and push the bottom forward as far as possible. (There’s no need to twist it)
Press the button down hard for 2 seconds.
Wait until the fizzling stops.
Press the button down for 2 seconds.
Wait untillmthe fizzling stops.
Press the button down for 2 second ( if the water overflows it is because you didn’t wait for the fizzing to stop)
Pull the bottle straight out from the bottom without twisting it.
Job done.
The fizzy water is really good.

Good product came early, very easy to use and it came with gas bottle easy exchange of gas at our local Argos. Perhaps not as fizzy as our old soda stream we had years before but ideal for what we use it for to carbonate our water from the tap.

I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to but a soda stream. All those years of buying speaking water in plastic bottles are gone now. Really simple to use, just have to work out how fizzy you like it!

Confused still about the actual price of the gas cylinder. Still, with a spare, it will be a while before I get to that. Comforting to know I have it here, just need a few more syrups now so I will have the full range
Acqua spumante
Made simple error at first and overfilled the water bottle – so had a bit if excess water on the kitchen top! The system is easy to use. I use prefiltered tap water using the Zero Water system. After using the sodastream I decant into quart litre kilner bottles which helps retain the fizz and put them in the fridge. Also cool to serve to guests in these. So fizz far so fizz good! After a few days of using the Sodastream, I am impressed that, having aerated the water and put the bottle in the fridge on its side, a day or two later it has lost none of its fizz and being cool, tastes great. Stopped using the kilner bottles now – only the Sodastream bottle.
Great kit at a silly price
Classic kit at a great one day price as Sodastream operate a sgupid “price confusion” policy so we dont really know what price to pay day to day. 52? 69? 79? 99? 132? Oooh what “clever” marketing. Not.

I failed to get any fizz at the first time, even it seems like working correctly. After reading Elena’s review, I figure out the right way. Now, I got the desired bubbles in my water.

Amazing value for money
I think this is brilliant! Easy to use, yes expensive but in the long run stops buying plastic bottles so saves money an less plastic waste!
Also when i used it, it does taste exactly like the water you buy from the shop so im converted! Also the canisters are refillable you just have to find a shop that refills them… i think argos do but i need to find out for sure… in the long run you save money though as this is going to be used alot!

Doing the sums shows that this is probably no cheaper than buying carbonated water from the supermarket (in large bottles). But it’s nice to be able to adjust the fizziness, to not buy lots of plastic bottles, and to not have to carry it back from the shops.

First of all, press down on the carbonate button very hard, or otherwise you get nothing. I have probably just wasyed half a bottle of the CO2 on my first drink. I was about to give a really negative review and was thinking of sending back but I read the top review, and presto, the next bottle I made was absolutely perfect.

Partendo dal presupposto che io non bevo acqua gasata ma quella leggermente gasata (alla Ferrarelle/Uliveto), avevo sempre temporeggiato nel prendere questo aggeggio per paura che non mi sarebbe piaciuto il sapore o che non sarei stata in grado di riprodurre “il corretto grado di gasatezza”. Sbagliavo di grosso. perfetto! Premendo solo due volte, mi esce fuori esattamente l’acqua che mi piace. Inoltre, la confezione aggiuntiva di bottiglie stra pratica. Le uso a mo’ di borracce.
Ammetto che il primo approccio non stato facile perch spruzzavo l’acqua ovunque, ma l’errore era mio perch non inserivo correttamente la bottiglia (consiglio di spingerla leggermente in alto quando la inserite, cos aderisce perfettamente). Una volta capito dove sbagliavo, posso dire con convinzione che tutto perfetto!

You need to press the top button all the way in else you will not get enough fizz. The CO2 bottles are not value for money, and you tend to waste a lot of gas when the bottle pressure drops and you cannot get enough fizz into your drinks. I solved this problem by getting a large CO2 cylinder and refilling the bottle as and when the pressure goes low. I keep the large CO2 cylinder in the garage and I found a supplier that do not charge “rent” for it, so overall it is cheap. You will also need a small gadget from e bay, mine is called “UK-Carbonator Cylinder Tank Refill Adaptor Connector Filling For Sodastream” some basic ability with a spanner will be needed.

Da tanto tempo volevo acquistarlo, mi sono finalmente decisa complice il prezzo molto scontato a 53.99.
Noi filtriamo l’acqua del rubinetto con una caraffa filtrante e una volta refrigerata la versiamo nella bottiglia in dotazione per procedere alla gasatura. Bisogna inizialmente imparare a dosare la gasatura, una volta presa la mano, si ottiene dell’ottima acqua gasata.Sono quindi Super soddisfatta dell’acquisto, devo solo vedere la durata della bombola visto che ho acquistato il gasatore da pochi giorni.

I had been buying bottles of water from the supermarket, but no longer need to. This stylish water maker doesn’t take up much room on my worktop. I sometimes found the 2.5L bottles from the supermarket had lost a lot of the fizz by the time I got near the bottom of the bottle. I like that these smaller bottles keep the fizz. I buy the replacement gas from Soda Stream themselves. They take a refundable deposit. After my first order I also received a voucher for money off my next order. So glad I bought this.
Follow instructions easy to use. Full with tap water and gently push up the nozzle. Press firmly once then again two more times then pull out . Super easy . Saves plastic bottles and always got fizz on ‘tap’

Fa benissimo il suo lavoro…per noi che stiamo in un borgo tt in salita una manna dal cielo. My best life decisio
This is the ideal machine to create sparkling water at home. I like the process of pressing down to get my desired level of fizz; you could of course get an automatic machine, but I don’t think it’s worth the money. Give your index finger a workout. I’ve read reviews that using a machine isn’t that much cheaper than buying bottled water. I’d say I bought this machine not to save money but for the convenience of not having to go to the shop and buy any! I like having sparkling water on tap, so to speak…

Pricey but I bought it on sale (and would advise you do to) because it’s not a massively sophisticated piece of kit.
However it is a cool little piece of kit. Makes water sparkle and I find mixing my own fizzy pop is tastier and healthier. Much better for the environment than buying plastic bottles, full of sugar/artificial sweeteners.
If you return the gas cannister when purchasing a new one, you get the new one at nearly half price. Very happy!

This was a life saver during my wife’s pregnancy, she obsessively craved fizzy water – Gets through gas quickly (we used it twice/thrice a day and the gas lasted just over a month) making it quite expensive to use frequently. It is better for convenience rather than to save money on bottled fizzy water.

I wrote this review because I saw so many conflicting ones regarding ease of use and lasting time. I have found this so easy to use: fill with cold water to the line, put up over nozzle and push backwards to lock (no need to turn the bottle) then push on the top button for 2 seconds as many times as you want. I like 4 as super bubbly. I stopped drinking diet coke and Pepsi and this has been a really refreshing alternative as it’s super cold and the bottles are nice to drink from. We did need to buy more bottles as only one comes with it. So now we have a bottle each. We have had it about 2 weeks and the only issue was the gas cannister becoming loose a couple of times, just needed tightening. Really light so it’s portable around the kitchen, and I feel much better with the lack of sparkling water bottles were getting through.

The bin bags were piling up with empty bottles and it all started to feel a bit shameful. Bought the Soda Stream at the start of the year and the family love it. In terms of gas longevity, we are already on our second bottle. Usage between 3 drinkers was probably 20 days per bottle of gas.
Why didn’t i do this before?
Been wondering about buying one for ages. So glad i have. Going to reduce my plastic waste by loads and salve my conscience!
Simple and fu
Simple and easy to use, it not really for saving money because it works out to to around the same ask buying the real coke if not a little more but where is the fun in that.

I was a little uncertain after the mixed reviews but have to say have found it easy to assemble and use. The water does carbonate well and have got some diet tonic water too. I wanted to reduce all the plastic waste and this will help and costs about the same. So win win.

I like the fact that I use less plastic bottles, I do not buy any more sparking plastic bottle. I have to get use to the taste, I think the gas could last a bit longer. It is easy to use.

Very happy with it. Performance as expected but would have liked a 50cl bottle included as well as the 1L bottle as the water goes flat if you don’t use it quickly.

Although there was an issue with the gas cylinder, once this was rectified this is a very good cost-effective way of producing carbonated drinks

Dopo un anno e mezzo ecco la mia recensione: dopo nemmeno 4 mesi si rotto un pezzo ma fortunatamente mio marito riuscito ad aggiustarlo. Adesso si rotto di nuovo un pezzo questa volta non pu essere aggiustato quindi va comprato nuovo. Spero che sia stato un caso e che magari sia dovuto all’utilizzo intensivo che ne facciamo, Visto che il nostro consumo si aggira sulle 6/8 bottiglie al giorno. Ogni bombola ci dura circa 15 giorni. La gasatura comunque perfetta e il risparmio sul consumo di bottiglie di plastica notevole. Considerati tutti gli aspetti vale la pena ricomprarlo.

It took a couple of tries to make it work correctly. It is really powerful and only takes seconds, also stays fizzy for a very long time.

Ho acquistato il sodastream per smettere di acquistare acqua in bottiglia e devo dire di aver raggiunto lo scopo. Utilizzo acqua del rubinetto precedentemente filtrata con una caraffa Laica (mio figlio la beve naturale) e posso gasarla secondo il nostro gusto. La sto usando da circa 20 giorni, in due con una gasatura abbastanza alta (quattro pressioni) e per ora c’ ancora gas nella bombola.
Non credo si risparmi in termini economici, ma sicuramente si sotto il punto di vista ecologico e di fastidio di caricare casse di acqua.

Love this!! I used to buy sparkling water from the supermarket but wanted to reduce plastic waste and this system is a great alternative. I have signed up to their sparkle club as well and that has been easy and good value as well. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys sparkling drinks
Fuzzy water in tap!
A fantastic way to help reduce plastic waste, no longer needing to buy bottles of carbonated water. The result isn’t quite as fuzzy but acceptable.
I purchased this for weaning my self off fizzy diet drinks. This worked a treat. I’m now happily drinking about 3 litres of water a day. I wanted to increase my water intake but our hard water is not great but making it fizzy makes it very drinkable . I also wanted to stop my purchases of bottled water this has helped on all counts. Fizzy water at the touch of a button! I haven’t bothered with the soda stream syrups. I have added elderflower cordial to the water which was delicious.
Tip a good tip is to purchase a couple of extra gas bottles so you never run out of gas. I hope you found my comments useful
1st one didn't work, exchanged straight away
The 1st one just would not get fizzy unless pumped about 10 times, I didn’t know if it was a bad gas calendar or the actual soda stream. Amazon replaced it straight away so at one point I had two, this was good because I could test the opened gas canister on the new soda stream and it worked perfectly so it was actually the base. Easy to send the broken one back. now have fizzy water whenever and stops all that plastic waste.
Saves using plastic bottles.
I got this because my wife only drinks fizzy water and was putting lots of plastic bottles in the recycling bin. Not any more because the Sodastream unit saves all that and it’s very easy to use.
Get busy with the Fizzy
A great wee addition to our family kitchen. It fits very easily into our kitchen with it being slim-lined and not bulky.
