My unit was not level correctly. The left supporting leg seems to sit higher than the right one so the unit rocks back and forth when pedaling on hardwood floor. Had to find a hard object to use as a shim on the left leg.

Edit: Their customer service reached out to me and sent a replacement unit. Although it’s much better than last one that I purchased, I still had a little unevenness when used on concrete floor. However, it’s not noticeable when used on carpet. Overall, I am happy with the product, it does exactly what I need it to do.

I purchased this trainer because I wanted to be able to rehab an injury and I needed to be inside. This trainer is super quiet if you have smooth tires. Also, I am very pleased that it works with my touring bike which is not a mountain or road bike and has very narrow tires and wheel base. It was fairly easy to assemble. It is solid and sturdy. I would definitely recommend this to a friend if they were looking for a trainer.

Very quiet. Just like my much more expensive one that died in our move to another state. First ride. Smooth action and very quiet.

Super easy to assemble, even for someone who hates and is useless at this kind of stuff (like me!). There’s no noise, no vibration, and a nice “fluidy” feeling when cycling. Amazing value for money.

Firstly, I really like this product. I wanted something for my aging hockey and football knees as I am getting a little osteoarthritis in them, no fun. I had a latte while my dog assembled this rig, it was that easy. It came complete, well packaged. I have a mountain bike and had a Schwallbe training tire put on my rim with a smaller tube and would highly recommend to prevent black, splattered mountain bike tire penetrating your popcorn ceiling. I run about 50 pounds pressure because it heats up. I love this thing because when I coast, there is no jamming on my legs and knees, it just coasts until I get going again and I can get more than enough resistance from my many gears. I am 205 pounds and this unit is very sturdy for me and I like the quiet and am very pleased I chose the fluid drive. I wanted a Keisser for Christmas and no one bought me one so now I have my own $300 Keisser including the new tire and tube and like it better. Highly recommend especially if you haven knee issues.

I have it in the basement on a hard floor. Noise is not an issue. This thing is relatively quite compared to my old magnetic trainer which it replaced.

I read other reviews about difficulty assembling… I just have to say, that if you first install the L-shaped bolt, and then place the flywheel assembly into the frame, placing the other end of the L-bolt into the flywheel assembly, and then inserting the long straight bolt to attache it to the bike stand frame, it’s easy 🙂

Otherwise, I’ve only used it a few times yet, but so far it’s good… I found it made more noise when the flywheel was tighter against the wheel, so I backed it off a bit, and use my gears more for resistance, and it is much quieter.

The unit is very sturdy and easy to assemble. The rear axle spindle included would not work with
the the thru axle on my bike. Was able to easily solve the problem using my original axle using a
    solution I found on Youtube.

I bought this as a gift. Super easy to set up. The machine itself is very quiet. But you will need to get the special tire required to not make the tread noise. It can be very loud. But this is not the fault of the machine. It is a result of the tire that you have on your bike. They do make special tires when using these machines.

These bike stands have a fixed resistance and you use your gears to change resistance. Great for me as a casual biker, but if you are a serious biker or maybe do tough spin classes, you may want a stand that has an adjustable tension. This product does as it advertises.

Received my Sportneer Fluid Trainer 3 days ago. I’m thrilled with my purchase after reading tue reviews.
    1. Noise level very low (besides I’m rocking to music)
    2. Assembly easier if watching the video here on Amazon by pausing, rewinding and moving forward slowly. So pack your patience.
    3. I love this trainer. Wished I purchased sooner.
    4. Very sturdy.

Great device, easy to use, very stable, moderate noise level. My only concern is the tension control. I’ve been using this at least five days a week since late Oct, still playing with the control to find the right tension. Overall great purchase

The trainer works well, and is a very smooth ride. The noise level is reasonable if you have a smooth tire. If it if you have a knobby tire it will howl. (I quickly bought a commuter smooth tire) It fits my 29er mountain bike well without any problems. Assembly is easy especially if you look at the instructional videos. (The included instructions are somewhat opaque.)The riser for the front tire was damaged in transit but I received excellent, prompt service in getting it replaced. Both the functionality and service add up to my 5 star rating.

I do have a training tire on my bike and was very happy with how quiet it is – there is a bit of noise, but I was easily able to watch a movie wearing earbuds while doing a pretty intense 30 minutes. I ran the top gear range and was dripping pretty hard by the end of the run. I’m sure if somebody is a much more frequent rider it might not be as challenging for them, but I definitely got a workout from it. Looking forward to hitting the road in the spring in much better condition than I was in 2021! Very satisfied.

When I first bought I thought it was a little noisy but it is really isn’t that noisy. I live on the third floor of a condo building and the people below have never heard any loud sounds. Even my roommate says she can barely hear it. I prefer the bike trainer over a stationary bike because my overall body position seems better and I feel as though I am getting a better workout. It is was extremely easy to put together. Note, depending on use, it will cost you at least one new tire. Also as a piece of advice, don’t forget to release the tension on the rear wheel so you don’t develop flat spots.

Sportneer Fahrrad Rollentrainer, Fluid Bike Trainer Stnder, Indoor Fahrrad bungsstnder fr aktuell 150,- Euro.

This product works as advertised. I read somewhere it was noisy but it isn’t. My mountain bike tires are noisy though when using the stand and I think at some point I may put a street tire on just to damp the noise down a bit. The knobs on the tire make vibration but it is the tire not the stand that is the issue. It sounds like a cool motor bike though, maybe I will just leave it like that for awhile.

As long as you know how to assemble these trainers, it will be easy. If you have never done this before, just watch a Youtube video and all will be golden. Noise levels are not excessive by any means. Sturdy and reliable. You can get better trainers with more bells and whistles, but this is a fine alternative if you simple want one with little or no extras. Simply set up your speedometer on the back wheel and away you go.

I purchased this stand for a hybrid mountain bike just prior to knee replacement surgery. I wanted one I could adjust from no resistance in my rehab to later use as a realistic road feel trainer. It hasn’t disappointed me at all. Assembled easily, adjusts with ease, and isn’t any noisier than any other trainer. It’s helping my rehab immensely and I didn’t have to spend a grand or more on a Peloton like the docs and therapists were telling me I needed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo I have a mountain bike that is not quick release. So I didn’t need to use the quick release adapter that is included. I was able to put my bike as is on this stand. It does raise the bike about 2 inches. I’m short and female so this made it a little harder to get on the bike. It is quite loud, so you may not be able to use in the early morning or late evening hours, if you live in an apt. All in all, this was a great purchase. Very pleased. Very sturdy. Only con is height adjustment.

I was a little apprehensive about this trainer before I purchased it. That is no longer the case. I ended up purchasing a used 12-speed road bike to set up on the trainer and get a very good workout. If you have a bike with even higher gears, all the better. I was concerned about the ability to put a mountain bike on the trainer, also not an issue. The clamping mechanism will accept a 9 1/2 to 10-inch spindle and there is plenty of room on the roller for a wider tire. The unit is very quiet as long as you have a road tread tire on your bike.

For those concerned about noise – I have a mountain bike. I used the mountain bike tires with this stand with no problem, except the tread understandably makes noise as it spins. Not too loud, not loud enough that it bothered me or I wanted to send it back. Not as loud as a vacuum or my washing machine, but noticeable. I just wore my earbuds so I could hear my class / TV show while I spun. Then I replaced the back tire with a road tire. HUGE difference in the amount of sound. Now it is – dare I say – very quiet? Like less noise than my dishwasher. I don’t need earbuds to hear the class or TV anymore and you can have a normal volume conversation while spinning. So far I’ve used it to exercise every day for the last 9 days and I’m very proud of myself. Well worth the investment!

The instructions included in shipment are impossible. Go to YouTube to assemble.

Support re the rear adapter piece was dangerous. They suggested that the bike just be attached to the trainer – which would be highly unstable and dangerous. I did get another email advises that I need to source an adapter for my bike.

Cannot comment on noise as still trying to source an adapter axle during lockdown in Toronto

  50. ClaudetNesbit says:

This was recommended as a best buy so I never considered another bike. I read over the details, description, and when I finally found it in stock I bought it.

Upon reading the assembly instructions, step one reads: “To use the trainer, you need to replace the rear wheel quick release on your bike with Skewer(Part G) equipped…”

When I read that, I immediately went back to the online description and it says NOTHING about needed a quick release rear wheel. (I did not watch the video and shouldn’t need to; I can read just fine.)

So, Sportneer suggested I try the trainer as is, which I did not feel comfortable doing. Thank God for the stimulus so I could afford to spend the money to get a replacement wheel. Sportneer did offer a $30 refund, which is nice, but I still paid more than I should have.

That being said, I have no issues with the trainer now.

I did my research over a few weeks and chose this sportneer fluid trainer and I am SO glad I did. I’ve had this for over a month. Almost 2. I ride on this stand sometimes twice daily for 45 to a hour at a time. I am not easy on it. I give it hell when I ride. It has almost no noise, it has great resistance. I mean you can hear it but it’s not very noisy at all. I watch espn and ride every morning. I’m in Florida so it rains some afternoon/evenings when its time for me to run so I jump on this instead. So convenient. Has helped me SO much. Added strength to my legs. Really glad I bought this. One of my better purchases in a long time. Its built really well. Strong. First trainer, went with fluid over magnetic. this is super easy to assemble, folds in/out so that’s a bonus. I have a road bike so that’s what I am using with this. Trainer is pretty quiet, I think my fan is making more noise, or pretty close. Just like it says, resistance changes by changing your bike gears. Works great. Initially I thought it could have used more power/resistance, so if you are super strong then you may want one with a higher power rating, but honestly after some time on it, I can’t maintain the highest gear for much time so this works pretty great, good for hill climbs… I think it mimics the road environment pretty well, comparing the gears I use outside with this it’s pretty close, I’m maybe a gear higher on the trainer, but that’s about it.
Good product for the price, just as advertised.

I’m 68 yo, and wanted to add indoor cycling (my version of) HIIT training to my hill-walking/weight lifting fitness routine. This is a stabile, solid trainer that allows me to reach my target heartbeat range. But this is achieved via my bike’s gears, not through any resistance provided by the trainer, which is virtually non-existent. I have off-road knobby tires and the noise is moderate, but I can still hear podcasts thru my earbuds. I’m on the concrete floor of my garage, so I doubt it bothers my adjacent townhouse neighbors. I plan on switching to hybrid tires in the next couple of weeks.

First time using a trainer stand, so keep that in mind. Decent packaging, no damage but would be easy to achieve without proper transport and delivery. Easily assembled with supplied tools, although directions could be more clear. With a medium tread tire, I would say minor “whirring” noise when in use, but can still hear tv or listen to music. No left/right tilt like others have described and construction seems sturdy (30 minute ride so far). Riser block could be taller, but is sturdy with soft pads on the bottom. This is my first review so I hope it helps someone’s future purchase. Overall, would recommend.

    Macht so richtig Spa!

Instructions worthless. With 700c/35mm fairly smooth tires it is super-quiet. Fits my 29er Hybrid bike fine.
Amazon Prime delivered 1/2 day early !
Been raining on/off here in So Cal so perfect timing. My box-fan set on low makes way more noise than this does.
    Build quality is excellent.
Second pic is view from bike watching hockey on my PC : )

Wow feels like road riding and quiet !

I’ve been using this trainer stand 30 min a day for a 10months. It has been outstanding. Smooth, quiet operation (depending on your tire tread) It gives close to the resistance feel of riding a bike on pavement. Changing gears on your bike changes the resistance while peddling at the same RPM. And it looks and feels like it will last for at least a few years of daily operation.
