Nicely weighted baterry powered trimmer, more than adequate power for trimming hedges. nice to have two batteries.
Very easy to assemble, but charging instructions are a little opaque – the indicator lights do not match what is listed in the written instructions….
If youre looking for a cheap cordless trimmer for occasional use – this is a good option.

Returning and going for a different brand purely as we need to get the hedge cut asap, if not I’d ask for a replacement as I believe this is just an unfortunate case, the return process seems a little complicated as I have to wait to hear from the company before sending back, hopefully they will get in touch as stated and I will get my money back. Overall if you dont have a defective battery then I’d say it’s a decent product.
The trimmers worked great first use, unfortunately when I tried to recharge the battery it would say it was fully charged after 10mins. It would run then as soon as I hit a 1cm branch it locked up. So I assume a dub battery or charger on this particular unit.

cutter ran through some quite thick hedging with ease. haven’t yet explored full life of battery but so far meets
my needs.
I was a bit disappointed by how small the blade section is relative to the rest of the device, and the cutting power isn’t quite as good as what I had expected – but it works absolutely fine and handles well. All in all a solid purchase.

Product purchased for tall and wide hedges. It does the job but is quite heavy when extended. I am Able to manage it but it does take a while to get used to it. The battery life is adequate for my needs. Over all happy with the tool so far.
Efficient machine, does a really good job without the noise, drama, cost and fuss of a petrol trimmer. Excellent value.

I am happy with this trimmer, its relatively light and easy to use. It is not as robust as mains corded trimmer would be and it can jam momentarily if you try to cut thick pieces of branch but you get used to what it will do. Value for money I thinks its fine.

Cuts very well. But this is so heavy – too heavy for me to use for a long time. The long handle (which does not retract to short) helps for those high up branches/hedges, but the handle is too long for a normal waist height hedge.
I’m very happy with this purchase. The battery charges and lasts very well, it hasn’t run down on me yet. I like the folding angle of the blade as it allows me to cut at different heights. Yes, there is a shoulder strap provided but still, when held at length, it’s heavy. I’m 59 and in good health but I do need frequent short rests with it, but only ten or twenty seconds. Blade cuts well, all in all, delighted.
I chose this product because we have a really tall, untidy hedge. The hedge cutter is everything I hoped it would be. It is lightweight, cuts really well, the reach is amazing and the battery life is excellent. I am an over 60s woman and used the hedge trimmer with ease. Recommended.
Very impressed with this tool. Used it on a thick hedge, 35 feet long, over 9 feet high and four feet thick. It took almost an hour to cut it and the battery worked well for the whole time. Working along the top, and stretching over, it did get a bit heavy, but nothing unbearable. Great cutting power and reach with the angled head for the top. It cut through branches up to 3/4 inch and did an excellent job. Put it on charge when I finished and it was fully charged again within two hours. Brill. !! Totally recommend this.

I’m a 70+ man and I found it still heavier than expected and, although found it much easier to cut the vertical faces of my bushes, the tops are still difficult due to the trimmer’s weight.
I can get over it by use of a ladder and shortening the reach but it’s a problem I’d hoped this trimmer would eradicate.
So, although the weight was an issue for me and is a factor prospective b users should take into account, it certainly cuts well and I use it for 90% of the bushes around my home

I replaced them with Black & Decker mains powered and they were great but it was quite a performance in preparation: mains extensions, step ladders etc. and then putting the paraphernalia away again.
So I decided to try battery power again in the hope that technology had advanced since my first unfortunate experience. And it had. These are much more powerful, good battery life and quick recharge. And great for trimming the tops of hedges and overhanging bushes on the far side of my pond.
On the down side they are quite heavy and unwieldy for general hedge trimming but I was so pleased with them that I decided to retire the B&D mains job and buy the Terratex standard cutters as well on the basis of sharing the same battery and charging system and now have a brace of battery driven cutters to keep my bushes trim. And very pleased with them I am too.

Easy to use …can be heavy if ur cutting lots of bushes but for me i see it as a work out so to say ….
This does a job but is very top heavy. If you have good upper body strength it would be great. Trimming the top of one of my topiaries was very strenuous, I am however 67 and don’t have good upper body strength. Overall okay but wouldn’t want to be using it for very long periods.
This is light weight compared to an electric one. It makes light work of trimming and shaping bushes. I have a rather large bush in the front garden and trimming the top has always been difficult. This little machine has a good reach without being too heavy to manoeuvre.
Would I buy this again or recommend it to somebody? Absolutely.

Based on first time use it’s a great piece of kit. Easily assembled. Cuts really well and the angled head is more than useful. The shoulder strap takes some getting use to and I found for short uses it’s better without it. Really quiet for such a large machine. Early days but first impressions are good.

Have used this only once so far. It charged quickly, it was efficient at cutting a conifer hedge and did the job quickly. It does the job just as well as my old plug in shears with the addition of doing an absolutely fantastic for trimming the top of the hedge standing safely on the ground. I have given it 4 stars as I found it a little heavy to manoeuvre, but otherwise great.

A good charge and connecting the two halves, which slot together and a collar screws up, and it was good to go.
The small battery provides enough power to the motor to cut even woody branches with some technique. It’s easy to manoeuvre and the angle change and extension pole are ideal for the tops of hedges above head height.
I’ve only used this once, but got a bit carried away and cut lots of bushes and hedge rows, without exhausting the battery.
Great product overcoming my scepticism.
Very quiet but cuts the light – medium stuff well. I have a 12 feet high hedge and it handled it very well. The 100 quid a year I paid a gardener to do it is now in my pocket.

Great tool if you are too short to cut your hedge (like my bf) haha only downside is it’s super heavy and pretty bulky. Took a while to set up but other than that it’s been working like a dream and has helped my short arse bf out and saved me from listening to a lot of moaning about not getting all of the hedge.

Nothing to dislike. The product arrived well packed and in good time. It performed well at its first use on the top and both sides of a 6m high by 5m long leylandii hedge. This took about 35-40 minutes but there was no sign of a drop in power. Impressive

I bought this to replace a heavy petrol 4 in 1 tool for my hedges. Bit dubis about battery powered tools. However this went through my Lelandi hedge with no problem then my Beech hedge. Would recommend this tool nice and light as well. The battery lasted 50 minutes doing constant work
The hedge trimmer arrived well packed and the instructions were easy to follow. I had a little trouble assembling the head to the pole, it required a great deal of pressure to get the front locking pin to locate into the locked position, otherwise the assembly was straightforward. I was pleased to find that the battery only required about half an hour to charge initially as the
state that the battery is not charged when it leaves the factory. Having just completed my first attempt on a hedge approximately twenty meters long and eight meters high with the Terratek trimmer, I can honestly say I am highly delighted with it’s performance, it coped well with all that was asked of it. Having to wait for the trimmer to recharge has prompted me to consider purchasing a second battery but unfortunately I have been told they are temporarily out of stock.
I only used it for about 25 minutes and the battery was still going strong, all in all, this is a good product for the money, i knocked off a star due to it being heavier than expected

It performs exactly as promised. The ability to adjust the amount of extension is useful and possibility of angling the cutter in five different positions is brilliant. I was using it this afternoon on a high hedge at rear of my property; it made the job much more manageable. Excellent value.
The trimmer is extremely easy to use especially for the high hedges.
Only negative is the battery only lasts for about 30/40mins. We have a large garden so had to recharge twice to finish it but I’d sooner do this than risk falling off a ladder.

But I found it only took about 2 hours. The instructions say to wear ear protection, but it’s not that noisy and you are not going to go deaf from using it. You of course need safety glasses, in case something should fly off when cutting. I tackled a small bush with it and a massive 12 foot hedge. It was much quicker than using the a corded trimmer we had before and no cable to cut through! I found that I could walk along the 12 foot hedge with trimmer stretched out in front, cutting the sides, as a waved it from side to side just like the old scythe cutters use to do! The top of the hedge was done by turning the orange pivot so that the blade came level with the top. The silver pole was easily extended and the tightening knobs very easy to use and did not become slack with use.
Altogether I was very impressed with the device.
If I had bought the leading brand name I think I would have been paying a lot more for fancy packaging and the name. But nothing else!
