Great for height, not so good for general use
My first electric hedge clippers were by Bosch and they were terrible. Heavy, no real cutting power, battery lasted 20 minutes and then had to be held in place with tape when in use. And then they stopped working just outside warranty.
I replaced them with Black & Decker mains powered and they were great but it was quite a performance in preparation: mains extensions, step ladders etc. and then putting the paraphernalia away again.
So I decided to try battery power again in the hope that technology had advanced since my first unfortunate experience. And it had. These are much more powerful, good battery life and quick recharge. And great for trimming the tops of hedges and overhanging bushes on the far side of my pond.
On the down side they are quite heavy and unwieldy for general hedge trimming but I was so pleased with them that I decided to retire the B&D mains job and buy the Terratex standard cutters as well on the basis of sharing the same battery and charging system and now have a brace of battery driven cutters to keep my bushes trim. And very pleased with them I am too.

Used this to trim a tree it took 15mins great product came earlier than expected great service and was easy to put together with instructions the seller sent a video to help but wasn’t needed very happy!!

Easy to use put together ready to go
Easy to use …can be heavy if ur cutting lots of bushes but for me i see it as a work out so to say ….
Top heavy but does the job
This does a job but is very top heavy. If you have good upper body strength it would be great. Trimming the top of one of my topiaries was very strenuous, I am however 67 and don’t have good upper body strength. Overall okay but wouldn’t want to be using it for very long periods.
Excellent product.
This is light weight compared to an electric one. It makes light work of trimming and shaping bushes. I have a rather large bush in the front garden and trimming the top has always been difficult. This little machine has a good reach without being too heavy to manoeuvre.
Would I buy this again or recommend it to somebody? Absolutely.

Used once only so far-to trim a tall shrub in an awkward position. Took about 25% of the usual time even though I was nervous as a first time user . Looking forward to attacking a long hedge of mixed shrubs which was the main reason for this purchase .

When I got a message about difficulty assembling the cutter, I begab to have second thoughts. In the event, however, it was easy to do. The machine is quiet in use, and very effective. My only reservatiom is that it really needs a full harness to take more of the weight, that would leave the arms free to manouevre it.

Based on first time use it’s a great piece of kit. Easily assembled. Cuts really well and the angled head is more than useful. The shoulder strap takes some getting use to and I found for short uses it’s better without it. Really quiet for such a large machine. Early days but first impressions are good.

On the whole a great tool.
Have used this only once so far. It charged quickly, it was efficient at cutting a conifer hedge and did the job quickly. It does the job just as well as my old plug in shears with the addition of doing an absolutely fantastic for trimming the top of the hedge standing safely on the ground. I have given it 4 stars as I found it a little heavy to manoeuvre, but otherwise great.
Easy to assemble; easy to use
It was delivered very promptly. It is easy to assemble and to ready for usage. I found it easy to use, and it does exactly what I want it for – to reach the top of higher hedges. It cuts well, and is quite manageable. My only slight concern so far is that the shoulder strap is difficult to use (slipping off as I handle the trimmer), but that may be me getting familiar with the tool.

Fitted together in no time. It’s reassuringly weighted – not heavy as any lighter you would lose robustness and you men out there shouldn’t be letting your granny or little sister handle this thing anyway.
Very quiet but cuts the light – medium stuff well. I have a 12 feet high hedge and it handled it very well. The 100 quid a year I paid a gardener to do it is now in my pocket.
So quiet – surprised their not using these things in kebab shops 🙂

Great value. Worked solidly for forty to fifty minutes any longer and my arms and shoulders would have struggled. Angle settings really help. My first use was to cut down nettles and brambles on a bank… No problem. Charged in 3.5 hours. Really is as described.
Great bit of kit but heavy
Great tool if you are too short to cut your hedge (like my bf) haha only downside is it’s super heavy and pretty bulky. Took a while to set up but other than that it’s been working like a dream and has helped my short arse bf out and saved me from listening to a lot of moaning about not getting all of the hedge.

Made light work of trimming conifer hedge which are ten feet tall.Quite easy to handle and you don’t get covered in conifer clippings when trimming.These trimmers were better than I thought they would be.Battery is quick to recharge.

Lightweight, good reach, good angles. I was sceptical whether the teeth would operate quickly enough via battery, but it cut through our hedges well. Good tool.
Hedge trimming made easy !
I purchased this Long Reach hedge trimmer as our garden hedge has grown too high for a normal trimmer to reach safely.
I am very happy with my purchase as it was able to to extend to the hight i required and also it was not too heavy to hold.

Long reach hedge trimme
The hedge trimmer arrived well packed and the instructions were easy to follow. I had a little trouble assembling the head to the pole, it required a great deal of pressure to get the front locking pin to locate into the locked position, otherwise the assembly was straightforward. I was pleased to find that the battery only required about half an hour to charge initially as the
state that the battery is not charged when it leaves the factory. Having just completed my first attempt on a hedge approximately twenty meters long and eight meters high with the Terratek trimmer, I can honestly say I am highly delighted with it’s performance, it coped well with all that was asked of it. Having to wait for the trimmer to recharge has prompted me to consider purchasing a second battery but unfortunately I have been told they are temporarily out of stock.

After a small hiccup in getting the hedge cutter to start for the first time it now works impressively well and has smartened up our hedge most successfully. I would recommend it to anyone.

Just finished cutting my 6 foot wide hedge and the cutter did not disappoint being able to reach that far over. The only negative is that after a while it does become a bit heavy but I would imagine that would be the same for all long reach cutters due the motor being at the far end.
Overall very good, it did what what I wanted and that is all that matters. Would have given 5 stars but for the weight situation.

If you are vertically challenged you may struggle to hold the trigger and balance the length of this beast! At 6ft I had no problems and found the length and adjustment of the product great for reaching behind the shed and shrubs planed near the hedges. It is a bit awkward in tight spaces as it can’t be shortened but with a bit application it can be done! Actual cutting operation is very good and very quiet. Took no time to trim our garden and saved a lot of trampling in the borders. Time will tell with reliability but so far so good!

The hedge trimmer arrived on time and all parts were present which was surprising considering the state of the box that it came in. The hedge trimmer instructions were very clear and it was easy to assemble and to charge the battery. When I used the hedge trimmer and accessories they worked flawlessly. Given the price of the cordless hedge trimmer it is good value for money.
I would have given it 5 stars if the packaging had not looked as though it had been run over by a steam roller.

Absolutely excellent. I was a rather concerned about buying a long reach hedge trimmer being a 61 year old female as I thought it might be difficult to handle. This is not the case. I love it and wish I had bought it sooner. Standing on a ladder with my old hedge trimmer was not a good idea.

The trimmer is extremely easy to use especially for the high hedges.

Delivery was quick and free. It came in a plain white box. It was very easy to assemble. The instructions said the charger takes 6 hours to charge up from flat. But I found it only took about 2 hours. The instructions say to wear ear protection, but it’s not that noisy and you are not going to go deaf from using it. You of course need safety glasses, in case something should fly off when cutting. I tackled a small bush with it and a massive 12 foot hedge. It was much quicker than using the a corded trimmer we had before and no cable to cut through! I found that I could walk along the 12 foot hedge with trimmer stretched out in front, cutting the sides, as a waved it from side to side just like the old scythe cutters use to do! The top of the hedge was done by turning the orange pivot so that the blade came level with the top. The silver pole was easily extended and the tightening knobs very easy to use and did not become slack with use.
Altogether I was very impressed with the device.
If I had bought the leading brand name I think I would have been paying a lot more for fancy packaging and the name. But nothing else!

The trimmer is great easy to assemble and makes trimming my tall hedges easy i dont need a ladder any more due to the extension and angle that i can adjust.

Hedge Trimme
It was delivered quickly, and with the minimum packaging necessary (if only other dispatchers could follow that example!). I’ve yet to try the product, thanks to our glorious spring weather, but it looks and feels pretty sturdy. Thank you!
This hedge trimmer in my humble option is good value for money only used it a few times, however it seems to do the job it was made for. It arrived in good time and was well packaged. If like me you are on a pension and need to save money I don’t think you can go far wrong with this offer.
