If you are in any way like me, I never wear dress shoes. Only sneakers. And if the idea of spending money on a expensive shoe you will only wear one in a great while seems silly, then you are like me.
These are a great casual, dress, anything boot. I used to wear Doc Martens in my motorcycle days, but I wanted to boot that was as tough, that could dress up. These do that. For me, and maybe because I am heart a sneaker guy, the break in was slow. They have good toe separation for a pointed boot, and I sized down 1/2 as recommended. I also own a pair of Thursdays, yes, sneakers, and those too took a little love to break in.
You will need to break these in. You will want to get boot shoe trees and leather conditioner. War thm round th house and on short walks so you get a feel and immediately put the shoe trees in. I conditioned mine 3 times over the course of a month and worked them in. Totally worth it.
Once they start to loosen up, they are really well crafted, well fitting, great boots. Looking at a pair in black, too.
Great boot and I have had a lot of boots. I opened the box and they were packed beautifully. I wear between a 10.5 and 11, They fit perfectly for me. I work in a factory office so I do a lot of walking from the office to the plant floor and dock area. I also have planter Fasciitis so I was looking for something with a solid midsole but I also wanted traction and for it to be good looking enough to wear with slacks. These boots fill the bill. I am very pleasantly surprised with these boots. Thinking of getting a tan pair. I highly recommend them.
Update, I got the Tan pair and love them also.
Thursday boots are very well made boots from great materials. I have had two odd experiences though with their suggested sizing. I ordered a pair of Chelsea style boots. They recommended fir this style a half size big and they were too big. The President they recommended sizing down a half size which I did not do and they are perfect but had I sized down as recommended they would have been too small. Personally I recommend going with your standard work shoe size because their recommendations have been off.
Got a pair in Brown over a month ago. I really like them and I get compliments on them more often than with any other shoes I have owned before, even random people on the street. However, they are not perfect. Honest thoughts:
-The look: great, a bit dressier than your regular captoe. Clean lines, and sharp. I think that is what make people like them and offer compliments on them. From a random lady in the elevator the other day: “I wasn’t gonna say anything, but man, those are some really nice looking boots”. Conversation starter right there.
-The fit: I usually wear 9.5 in sneakers and ordered a pair in size 9, following the company’s advice. They fit well lengthwise, but the right boot feels narrower than the left, making the it a bit uncomfortable. I am hoping this will go away once the boot breaks in. No space for extra insoles in this case, if you want extra insoles, or thicker insoles, order your regular size.
-The confort: they are rather stiff. Again, I am hoping this goes away once the boot break in. Other people say they feel like sneakers, but I don’t think they feel remotely like that, at least not yet.
-The weight: they are heavy. Get ready for a different sensation when you wear them, if you are coming from lightweight shoes.
-The color: it looks more like burgundy in some lights, which is great, I think that gives the boots some character. If they scratch, that will reveal the underlying color, which I believe is the natural leather color, so it will contrast.
-Some people complaint about creases, but my pair is doing ok for now. I don’t have shoes trees, but I do avoid stepping on them.
-The laces: they are stiff, I may change them at some point.
Great boots clearly made of good craftsmanship & solid materials. I so recommend buying a size smaller than your gym shoe size.
I bought a pair last yr & cannot wear them bc they are too big, even though they are my normal size. This yr I bought a pair a 1/2 size smaller & they fit perfectly.

Great boot. Definitely order the recommended half size lower! We learned the hard way and had to return for the lower size.
I use these boots in my regular line up for work and they are incredibly comfortable. The break in period was fine and lasted only about two days. This pair is not my first from Thursday boot company and they definitely won’t be my last. I would recommend any of their styles to anyone looking for a boot that rivals redwing, whites, or even wolverine for half the price.
I would follow the Thursday boots recommendation for size to get a 1/2 size smaller. The boots are very tight until you break then in. Once they’re broken in they’re the most comfortable boots you could wear.
I had to get a wide size for my foot. Other than that they fit snug and are damn comfortable. They feel sturdy and look gorgeous! Definitely getting your money worth! Superb craftsmanship. Thanks
Comfortable out of the box, expect that over time it will be more so. Love the leather smell. you can tell this is a quality boot.
These boots are a no frills boot with good style. There durable and don’t mind getting scuffed up. Im inbetween sizes 9.5and 10 normally and they fit about as expected. I went with a 9.5 and they’re fitted but breaking in. There’s not a lot of padding (which I don’t need or want) so expect a little break-in period. I have a pretty flat heal but the heel box could be a little more cupped for me (your mileage may vary and it seems like this is breaking in for me). Overall,any problems I have seem to be break-in period related and not quality related. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again.
These are far and away the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought, and I still think I got a bargain. The craftsmanship is just extraordinary. I expect them to outlast me.

his thing is made of some good quality stuff but sadely i find myself not wearing it cause it hurts my uper feet or lower part of the lacing is. the stitching just dig right into my feet and yea was quiet dispointed. iv had this boot for over a year now and i’ve worn it maby at most 15 times cause it just hurt.
the boot was a bit too big and loose for me. and the lase kept coming undone. 🙁
might buy their chelsea boot cause i dont know what’s with this but its the most painfull boot i have.
Half size down fits perfectly, went for 2 hours hiking not feeling stiff at all. Lastly I am really into its sleek and slim look, good buy!
Just got these boots and off first impression, they look good. The fit is proper, I went with the suggested half size lower, happy with purchase so far.
Updated: The company reached out and made things right by ensuring I got the correct boots from their warehouse and upgraded my shipping. Communication was amazing.
Something is off about these boots. First, I keep getting the wrong style from what I order. Even the replacements boots were wrong. Second, the sizing is all over the place. I have a pair of size 10’s in this boot and the size 10’s I received were WAY smaller. I explained my issue the first go around and nothing got fixed just sent me out the same wrong style and size boot again. Love my original pair of boots but it has been nothing but hassle this go around.
Great quality. Bought half a size down perfect. Need to break them in for sure. Very happy I got the tobaccos in my size! Have the captain in Arizona Adobe, i believe the 2 must-have styles.
Not only are these boots well made, but they mold to your foot very quickly. The leather will take several wears to break in – as to be expected – but you can literally feel the boot getting more comfortable with every step. These will be my new go-to footwear. Awesome product!
Had these boots on my radar for ~ a year. Finally pulled the trigger and got a pair ( price a little high for me ). Ordered regular size, not half size small as some do.. They took a few tries to break in, but now they are almost like a second skin. I really like the looks with a good pair of blue jeans, and have gotten a handful of compliments on them. If they end up wrapping around my foot like I think they will, I will get a second pair to use solely as my motorcycle boots. Would definitely recommend.
As picture shows, I have worn enough that I will need to invest in some type of shoe shine kit.

Boot is a little wide for me, have a narrow foot. Added Doc Scholls gel , perfect fit. Beautiful boot.

Returned. They’re ok but…They are made in Mexico and that’s cool, but, the leather, (I ordered the tobacco color) whatever tanning process used, very strong odor to me.
That was a dealbreaker for me before I tried them on. I guess they’re supposed to be a version of redwings but…they’re not.
So far so good. A heavy boot that seems durable and looks nice, but only time will tell. I will say though that the “Kevlar” laces already snapped within 1 week of moderate use, so definitely buy stronger laces along with these boots as a backup. I think it is odd that these boot companies still can’t get the laces right. I also wear these with large orthotics. I bought a size up and the boots fit decent, just a little tight on the top of the feet but I pulled part of the insole out and it gave me a little more room.
I got these this morning! They were comfortable right out of the box. The leather smell filled the room. These are q u a l i t y. I ordered a half size down as recommended and it’s true to fit. I can’t wait for these to break in and REALLY be comfy.
This is a very high quality boot. The leather is thick and supple, the stitching and laces are strong, the sole is stiff. Like any good boot, they will take some breaking-in, but I expect to wear them for years and years. Some reviews say to order small, but I found that the correct size fits perfectly (maybe even a bit snug, but good leather stretches with wear). Very pleased!
Loved the first pair I bought 3 or 4 years ago. It was time to replace them this year and the pair I got is beautiful and arrived at my door the day after I ordered. I will definitely be a lifetime custome

Hands down the best boots I have ever owned. They fit any occasion and are comfortable from day one. It’s my second pair of the same model so Thursday must be doing something right! They add an inch to your height with is always welcome!
They are tougher than you might expect. I’ve gone into weather with them (by accident!) and they still look perfectly fine. I would’nt suggest to go for a swim with them but they would survive!
They are my all time favorite pair of boots and I plan on adding more to my collection in the near future.
Sizing: Get your usual shoe size! Tried sizing down as recommended and they were a little too snug. Had to reorder. I wear thicker socks so my regular shoe size was perfect. For reference I wear a men’s 9 in Vans and Adidas.
Look: Out of the box they had a slight amount of wear on the right shoe. Not enough for me to return them though. Soles were clean and no cracks or blemishes. Color of the shoe was as pictured, nice and dark. (Tobacco)
Wear: Had them on for a few mins in the house and they seemed comfy enough. No major padding but there isn’t any discomfort or weird rub spots. Overall solid shoe.
These are high quality boots and I love them. However you must get the right size. I am a size 9 and I ordered a size 9. They are just slightly too large, the inside heel area rubs up and down on my heel, about 1/8 inch too long. If I were to wear them for a month or so I can see lots of slop inside the boot so I returned them and will be getting an 8 1/2. Actually Thursday co. recommends getting 1/2 size smaller than your sneaker size. I have to agree with them.
Addendum: I got the 8 1/2 and they are a much better fit for my size 9 foot. They fit snugly unlike the size 9, but plenty of room for the toes, not cramped at all. Quality leather and stiff when brand new which is expected. Once they get broke in they should be great. I love them so far and my friends are eyeballing them and I sense envy. They look that good.
First pair of quality boots I have purchased, after my girlfriend made fun of my doc martens. After a week + of breaking in, they fit like a glove. Very high quality, very attractive. I will buy again from Thursday Boot Com. I’m extremely upset, because at a job site – I scratched the toes trying to look at the bottom of a wall panel. I have fresh boots with scuffed toes.
Again, fantastic boots – highly recommend. I went with the President, very classy.
So, I’ve needed something between my casual sneakers, hikers and skate shoes and my dress shoes.
I chose boots, and looked into nice ones. I have to admit, Thursday Boot Co. wasn’t on my radar until I started watching video reviews, and I find myself agreeing wholeheartedly with many of the comments made in relation to this New York based brand.
Now that I have them, I am very, very satisfied with my experience. The fit has been such that in breaking them in, I only have one very small red area on a heel. I am part Native American and so our feet are generally a bit different than more common ethnicities, so I think it’s more that then anything.
These are great boots with quality materials and fine construction. Worth the money.
Even after shopping quite a bit for great lace up boots I was still very surprised at the quality of these. I ordered 1/2 size down and it was perfect for me.
These boots are amazing I’ve worn them every day since I received them in the mail it takes a lil while for them to wear in because of the cork sole but they’re really becoming even better I cant wait till it begins to age furthe
Let me start by saying I have only just received these so I am still early in the break-in process. At this point these boots feel very high quality to me. They are comfortable, offer good arch support and feel very well made. They are still quite stiff, but this is because they are brand new and still need to soften up/break in.
If they do not wear in well or soften I will edit this review, but for now I am very happy with my purchase.

The boot is excellent, great quality and very comfortable. Unfortunately I have a little wide feet. Even though he ordered a larger number than recommended, he still pressed on the sides and upper parts of the feet.
Unfortunately , I had to return the boot.
I love the style and look of these boots so much. The first pair of Thursday’s I bought was a size 10.5, I wear an 11 in sneakers but 10.5 was still too big in Thursday boots.
Bought these on Amazon and got 10. I could tell no difference in size between the 10 and 10.5. No biggie, the boots are still comfortable and I have walked and hiked in them. Will try for a 9.5 for my next pair.
Also, the the right boot was creased when it arrived. Again, no biggie, as I will be wearing them, but they had obviously been worn before, and I felt like my return options were limited due to the pre-existing crease (they warn you they will not accept creased boots in return).
Overall 4/5……would/will buy again.
I really like the look of these boots. They are exactly what I was looking for. They have the look and feel of custom made boots 3x the cost of what I paid. The company, and other reviewers all suggested to order size smaller than the sneaker size I wear, so I ordered size 10 and it was still too large, especially considering that leather boots always stretch over time. I returned the first pair and instead ordered size 9.5. They fit perfectly. I recommend these boots, but be sure to order 1 whole smaller that what ever sneaker size you wear.

Amazing quality at a honest price. The natural colour is beautiful. Developed creases the very first time I bent down folding the shoes in the process. I was a little upset about the creases first but have accepted them now and feel that is what adds character. Super comfy out of the box. These guys are heavy and the leather smell is amazing. Highly recommended….
Arguably the best option in this price range. Comfortable right out of the box. Excellent condition, no flaws or imperfections. Always condition/care for your leather footwear immediately (see their website for product care guidelines) as you’ve no idea how long they’ve been drying out in a warehouse.
UPDATE: 3 months in and these boots have only become more comfortable. They are in my rotation but I tend to choose them more often than I should. Just broke my original pair of laces. Make sure to have a spare handy. No regrets.

High quality boots. Rival anything priced above it.
I’m a size 11.5 M so I dropped a half size based on advice from fellow owners. The 11 M fits perfectly.
It will take a few days to break these in. Wear thick socks and adjust the laces after each day. You will soon have what will feel like custom footwear. These are not light weight. These are substantial. Worth every penny and the classic look lasts forever.
I feel they might be a little big on me but other than that they are really good boots so far!
I have a brown pair of these that I bought last year, and finally got around to getting a black pair, which I suppose tells you how much I like them. These boots are very well made of excellent materials, are sturdy, nice looking, and once broken in (which takes a while) are very comfortable. I’m a size 9 1/2 medium, and as Thursday suggested, their size 9 fits me great.

Great looking and fitting boot. Only minor negative, they scruff easily so daily polishing is a must to keep them looking sharp.

Get a half size smaller. Just got the black as a second pair and I love them. I’ve had my brown ones for 4 years now, wear them almost every day in the winter and fall and only just had the soles replaced and some new laces.
They will take a while to break in, though hopefully a sign that they’re going to last. The black ones are tough as hell and are cutting my feet to smithereens. The terracotta are definitely softer and are going to break in easier… that said, they look awesome and I am super happy with them, despite my damaged trotters!
I usually wear size 10 Ecco and ordered a pair of size 9.5. Took three days to break in, and they fit nicely after that. However the leather surface cracked up a little bit, which is unpleasant. But anyway they look really sharp and I received a lot of compliments wearing them.
Great quality and craftsmanship in making these boots. Looks good with blue jeans and fit perfectly. Go a half size smaller ask they suggest. The brown look fantastic will buy black ones soon. Awesome boots.
Size is as advertised. My boots had a defect in them and Thursday offered a replacement or partial refund. I took the refund. There were some vein markings in the leather. The leather is very stiff but smells amazing. They have taken quite some time to break in. I have Chromexcel indy boots from Alden and they broke in rather quickly, these have taken several weeks to break in.
Very comfortable, nice finish, with these boots you can dress up a little and still look manly enough!

These boots are absolutely beautiful. I liked the brown pair so much that I immediately went out and bought the same boots in black. I can wear them with my suit as well as with jeans. The fit is great and they are extremely comfortable. Great product!
Fantastic boots that fit perfectly (by sizing a half size down from my sneaker size.) They look great from the office with chinos to more casual with jeans. The “brown” color has a warm autumn feel to it. The craftsmanship is obvious and definitely exceeded my expectations at the price. So glad I purchased and makes me curious about some of their other styles.
I love these boots! At first, I was worried that they might be tight fitting, as my feet are a little wide for a size 11.5. But they are a perfect fit. They are stylish and suitable for work in the city yet also sturdy. Recommended!
I had bought a pair of Thursday Boot Arizona Adobe Captains and I absolutely loved them. I then proceeded to buy the President boots in black. The leather on these boots is different. I can tell because I still haven’t broken them in despite wearing them more than 15 times. My inner ankle bone is under a lot of pain because the leather won’t break in. I have to loosen up the shoestrings and not even use the 2 hooks to avoid any pain. This happened with the Captain Boots but the leather broke in in less than 5 wears. Any tips to soften the leather around the inner ankle bone would be appreciated.
These boots fits well and are very well made. I have been extremely happy with them.

A damn good pair of boots. A bit slick out of the box, but after wearing them for a bit it really fit to my feet. As other’s have said, order a half size down from your regular shoe size to get a good fit.

Very comfortable from the start. The only problem with buying shoes/boots on- line is that no-one knows their true size and all manufacturers don’t size their products according to a standard..
Most boots run true to size whereas athletic shoes are all over the place. My Brannock size is 10.0 to 10.5 and most of my boots fall in that range. My athletic shoes range from 12D to 11EEE. Go figue?
These appear to be a quality boot well worth the price and only time will tell if they can last for more than a couple of years
Normally i wear an 8.5 in Nike and 8 in Adidas so I went with an 8 and it did not fit! I exchanged it for an 7.5 and it’s perfect. The quality is amazing, the comfort is there. These boots are just what I’m looking for.
I went with a half-size smaller (as suggested) and am very satisfied with the fit.
Obvious high quality product the moment you get your hands on the boots.
My Caterpillar Abe boots held together better over 3 years than these did over 3 months… at 1/3 of the cost.
UPDATE – I complained to Thursday and they replaced these boots. I got the tobacco finish instead. 3 months in and very satisfied.

Ive worn a lot of boots, and none work well with my job. I needed something that wouldn’t break the bank and had good traction because I’m in and out of all sorts of airplanes under all sorts of airplanes. Not only does it fit well, is made with quality materials, but its a very good looking boot. All in all im very happy with my purchase. Definitely going to buy a black pair.
The thing about leather boots though is that you have to get the fit right; it’s more critical because there’s less give than with a sneaker. The TBC guidance to go a half size down is good for a “normal” width foot. If you have a wide foot, TBC offers EE/EEE sizes on their web site. But if you’re “wide-ish” ( i.e. a standard width shoe is usually snug, but a wide shoe is usually too much), then I’d recommend getting your actual sneaker size in Thursday boots. I did that with my second pair and I like the fit better right out of the box. Beyond just getting the size right, every manufacturer uses their own proprietary last and there’s no such thing as one that universally fits all feet well. For instance, Merrell boots just don’t work for me (heel cups are too wide). All this is a long way of saying, “Your mileage may vary.”
Really impressed by the quality for this price. Remember to order a size down instead of half a size down compared to your sneakers.
I have about 14 pairs of boots. This is my favorite and it is very comfortable and touch feeling. I might actually buy another pair very soon here. Quality of this book it the best I have seen so far, even compared to some boots that were more than $300. And this one is only 200.

I thought I read to get half a size smaller than my regular shoe size but I should have got my regular boot size instead. Boot sizes are usually a full size larger than shoe size. And this is true with these boots. Beautiful boots otherwise.

The smell when you take the shoe out smells legit, great leather quality. Build is great though there is some pic of a few people getting some outliers. Aesthetically appealing and really slick and most importantly comfortable.
I have marked them “fit as expected” -they actually run about half size larger than my usual size, but their website clearly states this, so I ordered accordingly, and got what I expected. While we’re talking about expectations, I like them because I don’t need a big clumsy work boot, but do want something a little more robust than a dress boot; they fill this gap perfectly, just don’t expect something you can chop down a forest or spend a year on an oil rig in. Right out of the box they felt a little tight across the toe box, and I considered exchanging them for a Wide but the leather is so supple I thought they would adapt to my feet, and within a couple days they had relaxed and were super comfortable. The price point is fair; they cost more than the run-of the-mill cheapo “work boot”-looking imports which will fall apart in 6 months, and you’ll still save some bucks over the industry icons (some of which have been hit with QC issues lately). I know $200 is not a lot of money to some people these days but, in the age of the disposable, if I’m laying down that kind of cash, I want a product that says somebody cared about the design, materials and construction.These boots shout that.

Two thumbs up from me! Absolutely love these boots. The feel of that real leather is so good. Combine these with dark wash blue jeans and it’s dynamite! If you’re questioning whether or not you need them, the answer is yes. Yes you do need them.
Good construction and esthetics. Size was much larger than expected. Personally I gave it a chance and by the time I realized they were simply too big my return window had passed. Will probably sell them elsewhere and be more diligent about returns.
As others have mentioned, They run a little large. Ordered half size smaller the running shoes. They fit as expected and are very comfortable. The boots look to be of good quality.
