Great upgrade to my ageing mid 2012 MacBook Pro which I couldn’t bear to part with. Installed the memory (16gb) 2 days ago and so far so good, noticed a significant speed improvement and start up time. Everything seems to run more smoothly. Item arrived 2 days early which was great. One thing I will say is make sure you have the correct screwdriver to take the back case off as for mine it’s a Phillips #00 but for the late 2012 retina model it’s different. Just check beforehand. I found one online for a couple of quid and once I had that the install was easy to do (about 5 mins)
I should have added these to my 8GB base memory long ago. I now have 24 GB. Very easy to install on my 27′ ‘Late 2013’ iMac, which now powers along very fast, like a brand-new machine. A brilliant investment: I thought I needed a new iMac for speed but this did the trick on all fronts: Word, internet, photos, etc.

The ram dimms came well protected in a plastic case and then an amazon box.
Installing the RAM took less than a five minutes on my 27 inch model – thanks to apple use of a hidden door on the back which grants access to the RAM cage – there are plenty of videos of installation should you need assistance.
I am using these two Timetec dimms in conjunction with my the two 4gb dimms provided by Apple. This has brought my iMac total ram up to 24gb (16gb + 8gb from Apple). This system is now tonnes faster and applications load more efficiently.
Don’t think that this cheaper Timetec brand is going to do any less than branded alternatives – The chips on the Timetec ram are genuine SK Hynix chips which is the same brand used by apple.
Highly recommend and an easy recommendation to anyone with an iMac.
These two 4 gig rams saved me from buying a new Mac. My Mac runs so much better from what it was.
Arrived on time. Easily fitted, following Apple’s instructions. Computer worked first time and shows some improvement in speed. Hopefully it will last awhile unlike the experience of others. Could give 5 stars but only had it a few days.

The iMac recognised the extra RAM straight away. They were easy to install, reasonable value for money and so far so good as far as stability goes. Time and my memory will be able to tell more in the months to come.

If you have anything up to a mid 2012 MacBook and it’s frustratingly slow and looks for any excuse to crash, do not despair. Our laptop has been in for investigation and we were told it was fine and there were no problems. But it only has 4 GB RAM which is pretty much useless for this day and age. We were about to upgrade to a 16 GB Model or even switch to a Microsoft Surface at an eye watering 2k minimum and then I suddenly thought let’s look on Amazon and see if there is a memory ‘thing’ we can try. The first thing I learned from the reviews was that we were just inside the window for being able to upgrade the RAM ourselves. Second thing was to ignore the instructions on Apple website to only upgrade to 8 RAM. So we purchased two 8 GB cards. Husband earthed himself this morning as suggested and replaced our two 2 cards for the new ones. In other words we went from 4 GB RAM to 16 GB RAM. Restarted the machine and watched in astonishment as it rose from the near dead and leapt into action. Everything was loaded, including my 22,500 photos in a flash. Allowed me to perform some basic photo editing in seconds which would normally take half an hour and a load of bad language. In fact it’s now so fast it is waiting for me to tell it what to do next.
Joking apart I could not recommend this product higher and can confirm that you can easily do the job yourself and you can double up on what Apple says. And like previous reviewers you will be a lot of hard earned cash better off! Feels like a real victory!
Put this upgrade into my MacBook Pro 13inch , 2016 model. Install easy & MacBook is runs faster. Recommended Amazon seller. Next upgrade will be to change the hard drive to solid state drive to make it faster.
This Memory do work with MacBook pro-2012 edition. I was thinking to upgrade RAM to 8 GB but after reading multiple reviews claiming that this MAC can be upgraded to 16 GB. I took the risk and yeah It works 🙂 🙂

Need more memory in a late 2013 iMac this will work if you are brave/mad enough. I did this and and SSD drive swap at the same time. It all still works but faster, there are lots of teardown videos to help. Make sure you boot it to check before you re seal the screen.

I bought this RAM to increase performance of my 2012 MacBook Pro. It does the job very well. Memory pressure in Activity Monitor fell from 50%-60% to about 10% base average load for standard tasks. There was a noticeable performance increase.

A product that does not disappoint. Does the job as it intended with my iMAC late 2014 model. Has started running faster. However over time it will start slowing down. That’s only due to the CPU being an older version. For those who have a newer model, would definitly recommend for the value.

This was RAM upgrade from the standard 8GB RAM increasing it by 16GB to 24GB with a 27inc late 2012 IMac. The memory chips arrived next day as expected and very easy to fit. They instantly made a difference to the operation of my IMac in terms of its speed. They have been working fine for a week and don’t see any reason why they won’t carry on. I did notice the seller offers a lifetime warranty so that is a good reason to use them. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending them.

Spec says 8gb max. Ignore it. 16gb works just fine.
If you are wanting to speed up an old Mac start with an ssd drive though, I found that gave the best result. The memory was only a small upgrade compared to the ssd which brought the machine to life

My 2013 Macbook Pro had been running increasingly slowly over the past few months since updating to the latest OS -Mojave. It became apparent that the 4MB of installed memory was inadequate to cope with newer software updates so I bit the bullet and ordered Timetec 16GB memory upgrade. Having read the instructions I found it easy to install and was up and running in about 15 minutes. I’m very pleased with the improvement in speed and my old laptop is back to it’s old self !

Compared to other manufacturers on amazon, selling more expensive products, near same quality. this was a bargain. has increased the performance to a used 2012 non retina macbook pro without doubt.
This memory upgrade is an instant fix to make it faster. Videos in Adobe Premiere Pro render in no time at all and start-up is marginally quicker.
Apple’s support page says my MacBookPro9,2 (13-inch, Mid 2012) will only support a maximum memory of 8GB. But this is wrong! My machine is now supersonic at 16GB RAM.
Furthermore, this is great value for money when you take into account my bank still has 2,500 left in it for me to play with. Crucial Memory retails the same spec for over 100.
Now I’ve got the upgrade bug, the next job is to replace the battery which now only holds half its charge and to swap the HHD with a SSD. Then my trusty mac will be better than new! Give it a try.

My imac was starting to lag running big programs, these are simple to add to the mac and now its running great again.
