Great product for the price, 15 for anything is cheap these days and this is a lot for the price. For the price of 3 pints you get a capable headset that allows you to play late into the night without annoying your neighbours or your other half. Sound is good. Mic is good. Comfort and fit is good. ( I’m 41 )
Only let down was the delivery packaging, it came in basically a brown Amazon paper bag. The actual item packaging was high quality as you would expect from turtle beach. However the delivery driver had taken care of the item and it was unscathed and in perfect condition and delivered on time.

The headset is great but when ever I disconnect it mid-game it doesn’t seem to work again after I plug it back in. It loses all game sound which is very annoying.
For the price, it cancels quite a lot of background noise. It’s very light through, which makes it not sit around the ears strongly.

I’ve had a pair for a couple of years, been fine. My 8 year old son however, is a totally different beast and rips through a pair of these a month.
That said, he gets through other wired headsets with equal vigour. Other than that, for adult or older kids, it’s tip top.
Really great headset with longer microphone arm than other turtle beach headsets. Also the microphone is removable if you don’t want to use it all the time. Nice and light, very comfy and with great rounded sound and isolation. Very good value.
I mean I had it for 4 months and then it broke I mean if you are carful and don’t rage it will last you a long time but if your a bit crappy and gaming it will last you 5 months

Good quality headphones, these were an exact 2nd purchase as 1st pair lasted the test of time but just got worn out. Would recommend.
Bought for my daughter who finds them comfy and easy to wear.
Bear in mind these only costs 19.99 they work well with our Xbox Switch and PC.
They are NOT especially durable. The microphone stopped working after 3 months but customer service was excellent and they were replaced very quickly.

Decent set of headphones for the price. Good sound quality and a decent mic. You pay for what you get though so don’t expect the best of the best. Overall a good start up headset. Side note it can help with games like warzone for hearing footsteps, i would recommend setting the in game audio settings to boost mode
PROS: very comfortable in use, particularly over the mono headset that came with the X-Box, immersive sound, blocks out background noise and the boom mic doesn’t droop. Adjustable sizing for adults and kids alike.
CONS: they isolate so well my kids can’t hear me talking to them when they’re using them. The cable seems prone to getting tangled.

I like a headset which fits all around the ear, i’ve had various ones before which aren’t big enough like astros which sat ontop of my ear rather than around it and they were really uncomfortable for long use! I had a P60 before but after years of use I needed a new one, so I got this for 20 GBP I was really happy! it’s perfect for PC use
No longer can we hear the shouts and cries of our son’s fellow squad mates while they spend countless hours playing Fortnite! Peace has once more been restored to our household. Thank you turtle beach
(As a side note the headset itself is great value for money. We’ll made, good sound and I guess the microphone quality is good as I haven’t had any complaints? Didn’t want to spend a fortune with Xmas coming up so these ticked the box nicely. Would recommend to anyone else wishing for peace and quiet in their own home)
Saw some other reveiws on it saying ‘DONT BUY,!!’ So im a tad but worried the mic will stop working because thats what theyve said. It has been working ok when ive been using it. Its better than my last one. I can vibe with my mates for now. I will edit this reveiw if anything goes wrong. But good for now.
Does the job.. can use on a ps4 controller just fine. Unsure if they do on xbox but the sound quality is fine and so is the speaker. Bought these as a cheap replacement for another set i had and these are just as good as the more expensive ones.

the sound is amazing, crisp and clear and the pads on the ears are super comfortable.
the inline volume control is very useful and it’s at the perfect position for me.
Their small frame makes it pretty easy to store. I usually hang my headphones over my monitor, but if im a rush and I just chuck them on my desk, they dont take up too much space
Cons:
the downsides are, the wire is incredible too small and the where the wires from each ear meet is way too close, it needs to have a much longer wire, and the headphones need to connect further down said wire.
Also, the plastic frame feel incredible low quality and flimsy. just putting it on my head, I feel like it will snap at any minuet.
most of the other reviews have already covered this but, the included removable Boom mic does not work. I did notice the aux jack is direction, so I figured people were just putting it in wrong but no, it still doesn’t work
I also don’t like how the PC version is an extra 5 for, essentially, a different colour.
Conclusion:
They are not terrible. they sound great and they’re pretty cheap.
But, if you can afford it, I highly recommend the Turtle Beach Atlas Three Amplified Gaming Headset. they look better, have metal supports and amplified audio, as well as a working Microphone.
5th one of these. Only last my son couple months. Usually microphone breaks. He says sounds good and likes them just wish i dont need to replace them so often.
so far so good – a little quiet on the xbox even when settings all on high but headphones block out a lot of external sound so not really a problem and probably better for my hearing. Generally pretty comfy.
2nd pair we now own Having 2 pre teen boys who like gaming these are good solid.headset, was very handy to keep in touch with there friends during lock down have tried other makes they just don’t last as long the turtle beach is a good quality brand.
For the price this headset is brilliant however that doesn’t mean you should buy it. In my opinion this is the best 20 headset out there and is a good starting point. The sound is ok but nothing special. The build quality is good for the price but just isn’t very good and could break easily. The coushioning is very poor and after a while hurts my head. The mic sounds great but feels cheap and can break easily the onboard mute and volume control feels cheap but I wouldn’t expect anything better for this price.
I have had this headset for a few years now and it has held up very well for the price! Great sound quality and nice structure. After a few years now though the frequency range is starting to narrow down and the lows are not very clear. The headset can also start to hurt your head a bit if it is worn for a long period of time without taking it off.
Overall a great product for the price though!

My son loves these for his PS4 gaming. They stopped working soon after using them, but the company replaced them quickly without quibble. Next set are working perfectly and they get a lot of use! Recommend.
If I had to describe these in one word, it’s have to be: EPIC! I know there are other brands out there with better specs, however, for the price of these you’ll be pressed to find better. I bought the as a temporary replacement for my Bose set and still have them going to this day. I’ve dropped them, kicked them, thrown them and much more and they keep asking for more. Got gamer kids? These are the ones for them.

They plug straight into the controller but you can have full stereo chat audio ONLY if you re-root all the game audio from your TV. This is annoying because I need to be able to hear RL stuff and these headsets don’t allow for that. They are very comfortable to use though and good value.

Lasted for a long time with everyday use, lightweight and comfortable, sound quality is very good, at times they feel like they aren’t tight enough to my head but they’ve most likely just loosened due to everyday use for the past 2-3 years, very good headset for the price.
My Son loves these. He has had turtle beaches and broken them within weeks. I can say that these have so far lasted tho he is still just as loud which may defeat the object.
This headset worked great for me until I got something better, if you stream you will be very happy with the mic… The only reason I gave this a 4 star is because the volume control started being doggy after 7 months… I look after my stuff so it was weird for it to feel like it will break soon, But overall sound quality is exceptional for the price but mic quality is great.
Honestly I’ve had these for the past year and a half. Really good mic for a really good price. I’ve abused this mic (like thrown it about and stuff) and it still seems to be good with me. Lost that plushie thing you put on the mic, but still clear communication. Recommend this HIGHLY.

Bought this to replace a wireless turtle beach head set which my son broke as he kept charging it while using it and damaged the micro USB connections. This one was wired and a lot cheaper and plugs into the PS4 dualshock 4 controller so it’s close to him and won’t pull out of the socket. It has a cheap plastic feel to it but fits well and has a padded band for head comfort. The stereo sound is good and the mic sounds is clear. Great for the money and my son loves playing with his mates again.
I was dubious about this product after speaking with colleagues they recommended the product. Please purchase with confidence and these are great, brilliant sound, comfortable.
This headset is primarily used for PC gaming and the microphone boom is separate, so these can be used either way.
These headphones are well.made and comfortable to wear. They are only stereo sound so the sound is passable. If I want better sound then I will need amplified headphones. Otherwise good value
Very good earphones for the price , this is the third pair but I use them every day & have done for the last 6 yrs ,, there good & the sound is excellent but if you use them every day they will start to break after 18 months of continuous use ,but for the price I don’t think you can complain…
Bought as a gift for my boyfriend, was worried they wouldn’t be that great as really reasonable price for turtle beaches, but they’re well worth the money, great sound, comfortable and durable.
The Turtle Beach Recon 50P Stereo Gaming Headset is superb headset for the price. I mostly use these while playing the Division 2 on PS4 with friends. I have had no complaints about the mic quality, and the earphone quality is amazing, they acually add a degree of imersion to the game, as I can hear all the little sound effects and enemies talking and shouting a ot better. The audio quality from the headphones is that good, that I actually thought a bee was flying around my head in my house, but it was an in-game insect flying around me, in the game.
Great value and amazing quality headphones if you are looking for a low cost alternative to some of the more expensive brands.
Bought for my son around 7 months ago (only just reviewing items) item is still going strong even after a lot of use. He’s gone through a lot of headsets. This has been the best, no issues whatsoever highly recommend this brand 🙂
The detachable microphone is nice but I also think it causes more issues, I’ve only had one person tell me about my microphone buzzing which was due to it being loose, but it’s still an issue that would be there is the microphone wasn’t detachable.
As expected. Not top of the range. Footsteps on cod are okay. Battle Royale games, are touch and go due to sound playback sensitivity on these. But they do the job for young players, or those who play and don’t want to be so competitive.
Look these phones work. My Son plays fortnite etc….and uses these phones all the time. They are clear and reproduce good sound effects for the price. I deducted a star as they usually break after 12 months.
After using the headset for a few days, I have noticed that is comfortable to wear and doesn’t hurt you when you wear it for lenghty amounts of time. Quality of the headset is good, plugs straight into the controller. This probally drains the batterys of a controller alot so should have rechargeable batterys just in case.
Headset is made of good quality plastic and the sound quality is alright, I would like the volume to go a bit higher on the headset though. Overall a good product and would reccomend to anyone who needs a cheap xbox one headset.
Although its not fair to compare this to my Razer Kraken headset I was quite disappointed with how flimsy the build quality of this was, the sound quality is average but the headset itself is extremely cheap feeling which provides one major benefit, its really lightweight.

Really great headset, lived up to standards and performs very well. I prefer wired headsets to wireless because there is often some lag with wireless. The wireless headsets are also heavier and sometimes disconnect from the Xbox. Really pleased with this one though.
The Recon 50s are a headset that gets the job done. For the price you can’t really go wrong.
Keep in mind the more you spend on headsets the better the sound quality and comfort gets.
My only gripe worth mentioning about with the Recon 50s is that the lacking of padding on the top of the headset hurts my head a little after a few hrs game play. That is just my opinion and I have now rectified this by glueing a piece of foam on the top.
I bought this as a gift for my son. It worked with his Xbox one. It is great quality and deviled good sound quality. The only problem is it has a normal headphone jack so it will not work with the old Xbox one controllers which have a standard audio jack. Overall, it’s a great product.
The first thing I noticed when I powered it on was that there was no bass, or at least not enough for me to recognize it. Was using headphones before and sound quality is superior compared to this, but this one is able to squeeze much more sound which is exactly what I need for some games that I play. Ohh and it’s volume and mic control thingy gets hooked on my keyboard table as I try to lean back. Might break the cable one day!
Product is good but not the best. Lasted just over a year. We’ve since bought another brand of gaming headphones and they are way more solid and the sounds better. The replacements were more expensive though, so it’s all relative. My advice would be that these are good, but spend a but more and the quality is overall much higher.
Although pretty cheap this headset is pretty decent for the price that is. As Turtlebeach’s usually are pretty darned expensive and while they may not be the best they are pretty good if you want to save yourself a bit of cash.
Turtle Beach seem to have gone down a bit in quality over the years but this is still a good headset. The ear pieces are not massive which I prefer and the mic is flexible.
This works fine with XBox One.
My son loves these – he has had a couple of sets now from other brands but is loving this – says they are the best yet – only had for a couple of weeks so not sure of the longevity of them – but at such a great price they won’t break the bank if we have to purchase another pair next year.
for an Xbox controller and a gaming headset. you wont find much better… ive looked. the turtle beach headset that comes with the controller work perfectly for multiplayer games such as fortnight and pub g (what i have tested them on)

They do warm your ears up a little, but thats always going to happen with over the ear cans. Sound quality is good too, letting me hear sounds I didn’t know were even there when gaming. I haven’t listened to music with them, just gaming on the PS4.
They don’t need any power source, just plug in to the audio jack at the back of the controller, such a blessing.
Ever since this headset arrived, I have been addicted to it! It’s just so COMFORTABLE and LIGHTWEIGHT, which is great for a few hours of gaming, or just relaxing, and has a CRISP microphone, according to all my friends, which are just the two things I was hoping for. On top of that, the mic is removable, so it doesn’t get in the way if you want to watch a movie or listen to music, and there is a small unit on the cable that allows you to quickly mute/unmute your mic or adjust the volume. And finally, the design is simply AWESOME. Would definitely recommend this headset, as it is just amazing in every aspect.
My one minor quibble is that the headband isn’t as well padded as some of the other admittedly more expensive alternatives.
He can’t hear anything when they are on – you can walk into the room and shout “It’s tea time” and you get nothing.

So this is just the blue version of the same headset, which we also have in Green and White for the family. Works great, sounds good and can also be used for Skype, listening to music/films on the pc, phone or tablet device. Can;t say better than that.
Not as good as the Sennheisers I have for Music, but they serve very different tasks.
The perfect starter turtle beach. The sound quality is superb and the noise cancelling is excellent. The padding is very comfortable and the product can adjust size to fit almost anyone. It is a little bulky, but then again, it’s not a fashion item! Although, they are pleasant on the eye. The mic can also be removed which is ideal when listening to music or watching videos. Don’t bother with more expensive items. These are all you need.
Overall, a quality headset for gamers.
Bought for my youngest son (14) and he loves them for use with his Xbox One.
They aren’t noise cancelling but offer decent isolation. I have to bellow fairly loudly from the next room to get his attention.
He reports there is no echo or feedback whatsoever, which has been a problem with his previous headset.
Very good sound quality. Hoping these will last me a long while compared to previous headphones Ive had.

I would highly recommend this headset. For cheap Xbox One gaming headsets, look no further. The sound quality is incredible and definitely offers you a huge advantage over regular players. The headset seems to be very well built and I have had no problems with that.

Without paying 60+ this is the best headset you will find on the market.
There are cheaper offerings out there but they often require expensive additions or aren’t as easy or user friendly. I’d recommend these headphoens for any level of gammer.
Good quality headset for the price, I’ve been using it for my PS4, my laptop and my phone for quite a while now and I love it.
The sound is good, I have used it for games and voice chat as well as music and they might not be the greatest in the world but they’re certainly great for their price range. The microphone is good for picking up my voice clearly and even picks up a bit of the background noise in my house, but that’s because I talk pretty quietly and have to have the detection set pretty sensitive. The foam pads are really comfortable and soft, not like some that I find push on my ears uncomfortably or squash my ears into my glasses which is pretty painful after a few hours!
There is a tiny bit of interference that can be heard if you really stretch your hearing but only when charging the controller at the same time as using it, and really it was only noticeable during quiet periods of the game, which don’t happen often!
all in all a great price for a great headse
So I got this headset for my 12 year-old-son and he LOVED it!
He kept on coming up to me and saying these are so comfortable and the audio sound is great!
It also benefits me because when he’s playing Call of Duty I can’t hear the gunshots!
The down side to this is that I can’t hear what he’s hearing, so parents should check on their kids on what they are watching.
Overall I’d give this headset a 4/5,

The only downside as far as I can see, is that I would personally have liked a bit more padding on the top of the headset – there is a small amount of very thin padding, but it’s not as much as I would have hoped.
For my son, who loves it and meets his needs. I don’t feel it made it clear that a new handset to make it compatible with xbox1 would have to be purchased. The text said ‘compatible’ and as such I expected it would work straight away. But unless you have a new xbox1 where the handset comes with the socket for this to fit in to, you I’ll have to by the adapter or a new handset which significantly increases the cost. So from that point of view, I was greatly disappointed. However delivery was very prompt, much sooner than estimated.
For the people that marked them as a 1 because “They don’t work on a pc or xbox”, I’m guessing you didn’t read the product description, hardly the fault of the product is it!
I have been using it for a few weeks now and it seems to be pretty good and seeing as I got it for 16 its proving to be a bit of a bargain. The only slight concern is sometimes my friends say my mic is really quiet and sometimes cant actually hear me. However that generally occurs when the mic is quite far away from my mouth because im eating etc or when all my housemates have gone to bed and I lower my voice a tad to void waking them, so its not the end of the world. I recommend, I will edit this if any problem arises in the not so distant future! All the best yo
Very good value for money. I bought these for PC gaming, so I can’t speak for how they perform with console gaming.
The mic can be unplugged and is un-intrusive, and I have been told the quality is quite crisp and overall better than the macbook pro inbuilt microphone I used prior to purchasing them.
Headphones are lightweight and quite comfortable to wear, some headphones I have worn in the past do feel heavy on the head and get uncomfortable to wear over time – these do not.
Ear cups do a solid job at keeping outside noise out, especially at this kind of pricing.
Sound quality is also solid, good for the price but it isn’t going to blow you away like a more expensive headset.
My main problem with this headset so far is the wires. Wire is fairly short, about 3 feet from jack to earphones. The other issue is that the wires do split into each earphones fairly high up- lower split would have been nicer, and only one wire up to the head could have been even nicer.
Overall, an excellent budget headset, but if you are a PC gamer you may find yourself needing to invest in 3.5mm extension cable.
There is one thing I must mention that I know caught me out and someone else I know who also brought this same headset. The way it works is through a mic and speaker 3.5mm jack slot. This slot is only on the latest Xbox One controller. Luckily for me, I’d pre ordered the Elite controller which has the slot. However, if you don’t have the slot, it’s either a new controller, the official adaptor which is available on Amazon for 17.99 or a new headset.
It does also work on the PS4 and I haven’t tested it on PC or Mac as I don’t have the splitter cable but I have no reason to suspect it won’t work on them as well.
Apart from the problem with the audio jack which is this headset’s main flaw as it’s advertised for the Xbox One, this headset is a great all rounder and I would recommend it to anyone.
