Outstanding Performance
Bought this for 135 from the Amazon Warehouse having bought a 70 pretender a couple of months ago based on ‘bogus’ amazing reviews on Google..ignore those (I gave it a pretty poor review).. basically if you want something decent buy a brand…this Vax blade 4 pet is faultless ..can’t afford it full price? Wait…get one from the warehouse half price. Said major external scratches blah blah…who cares? As it turned out it was perfect! Didn’t arrive in the Vax box, was minus the “construction instructions”..trust me, putting the thing together without the instructions was about as complicated as a 4 piece jigsaw puzzle. Do I love it and rate it? Oh yes! Before my 70 conned by bogus reviews buy, I had a Shark pet cordless..I rated that as great compared to the 70 bogus buy..well I would, it was like chalk and cheese! Compare the Shark to the Vax Blade 4 pet..the Vax blade 4 pet is far superior to my Shark..if you can get it for 135 like I did absolutely go for it.
Was slightly hesitant before buying due to some issues highlighted by previous reviews. I personally found the Vax Blade 4 was easy to use if following the guidance in the user guide provided. Had no issues picking up dirt, was not too heavy but had the reassuring feel of a well built piece of kit. Battery life has been fine and in no way an issue. Only minor niggle is the dirt cannister is, as some pointed out, a little bit compact. But I sense this is a common trait for cordless/bagless vacs. Anything significantly larger would probably not be in keeping with the overall design of the product. So I can only give 5 stars to this item.
It’s ideal for my needs
It’s lightweight not like the hoover in the cupboard. It can stay there. The compartment looks easy enough to empty the Debree out of. Accessories are adequate and the performance is adequate as for the battery. The computer says now not impressed with the battery. Don’t think it’s 45 minutes somehow and at 60 for replacement battery I say no more. It comes with a fixing bracket some screws to hold the Hoover right onto the wall, I mounted a bit of wood and painted it and screwed it into the wall. It’s Andy just a job for me. I would give it 7 out of 10. The charging indicator on the top of the battery, the charger is a Plastic slides over the top of the battery
I wondered if this would be a bit weak because it’s battery powered but I am glad to be wrong. It is far more powerful than our old wired vacuum and the battery lasts long enough to do the whole house. The motorised brush head does an incredible job on carpet and de-hairing it is made easier by there being grooves on the brush head along which to run scissors. The dust chamber and filter setup is really straightforward to take apart and put back together again which makes it easy to empty and clean. Really happy with it, such a huge increase in convenience over the heavy lump of a wired vacuum we had before. Used to hate vacuuming and see it as a big job but now with us getting this, it’s become more of a little and often type thing.
This is my first cordless hoover. It is great. Has good suction, looks good, easy fast charging and great for corners under sofa and table. It is on the heavy side but so far OK for me. Still havent managed to use it with ease on the stairs but getting there. The battery lasts ok, definitely not 40minutes. If used on eco mode I can hoover around the house for around 25 mins or so. When I use the super suction mode within 1-2 minutes the battery starts running out. I would still recommend for overall use.
Also easy to clean which helps. Hopefully longevity will be decent for the price.
Reliable and effective
I like the way this product stays active once the ‘on’ button is pressed – I don’t have to keep pressing like on some other brands – I find everything good – no complaints
New hoove
I love this hoover ! It’s light ,and it has two other settings which are for tougher jobs , the tools for the stairs and furniture which are good , for dog hair . Love it .
I had a cheaper version of this a few years ago and it wasn’t much good, but we read the reviews and opted for this one because our Henry hoover is quite heavy and a pain to drag around the house.
This upright is every bit as good as a wired vacuum. The suction is powerful (make sure you have it on the powerful setting) and the rotating brushes work well.
The brushes on both the main head and the small “pet head” are very well designed, meaning you can take the entire brush out to clean it and detanlge any hair that accumilates. The battery is 4Ah which is sufficient; though it doesn’t last quite as long as the claim when you are using it on carpets. It is still ok though, and the battery comes out of the main unit easily so is easy to put on charge.
The vaccum is very light and easy to use. Plus the attatchments are easy to clip on and off.
The collector bin is quite small but this is also easy to take off and empty which you’ll need to do every time you hoover the whole house. We haven’t experienced any blockages yet, and I have accidentally sucked up quite a few large bits of wood, scrap carpet etc when fitting some flooring.
For the price I am pleased – it’s true what they say, you get what you pay for. I had a 70 quid electrolux before this and it was rubbish, but this seems like money well spent. You can also mount it on a wall with the bracket provided, which is a good space saver.
Battery doesn't hold charge
This is a very good vacuum and would have had 5 stars except for the battery I have a one bed flat yet struggle to vacuum it as battery seems to run out in less than 10 minutes.
This is my 3rd Vax and cheaper than the first two.No1/2 are still usable, but soon developed the same fault.
1:The little flexi see-through hose on the head is weak, leaks and and cracks v quickly.A replacement, though cheap, was too difficult to fit by me.Access impossible.
2:The Brushbar and led lights stopped working at around 2 yrs.It seems there is a breakage in electrical connection within the machine. The bar spins by hand so not clogged.Again imposs to remedy by me.
It will be interesting to see how No 3 fairs. It seems exactly the same build but now cheaper and came with a different +less robust charger from Amazon.
Having said above the Vax is versatile, suction is super, and it’s easy to maintain and charge. The head is annoyingly hard to remove from the stick though for hand-held tasks.I like the lights and the reason I didn’t buy a Dyson this time was it has a trigger that has to be constantly held apparently. No good for arthritic hands.
I haven’t much faith in the Vax 3yr Guarantee as so much is not covered and contacting Vax is not easy. Why?
I suspect there may be a new Vax stick on the horizon to compete with other makes, hence the reduced price to date. For all Blade 4’s faults I would recommend it because it is so powerful.
Hoove
The product is great but the delivery driver just dumped the parcel outside our front door without knocking, luckily for us we heard him. We have no front garden and this was a late evening delivery so we were not impressed.
I assembled my machine fairly easily (I am 82 years of age) and decided to try it out on my lounge carpet, which had been vacuumed that morning with my Buture cordless vacuum. I could not believe the amount of dog hair that came into my new machine, totally filled the container. Such a shock, as I thought my existing machine was doing a good job with my Smooth Coat Collie’s hairs, which drop all the time.
I am very impressed with this cleaner, a little heavy for me, but that is due to my age. I used attachments for the stairs, which also look a lot better. The battery life is excellent and it recharges very quickly. I highly recommend the Vax Pet cordless vacuum.
Good run time and suction, I really like the headlights as shows up dust you normally can’t see. Only downside is it’s quite heavy, hurts my elbow after a while.
An excellent hoover. Bought this for my Mum who is elderly and was struggling with a big old panasonic mains-powered monster. This is fairly light, easy to use and empty and she’s very pleased with it. The battery unclips for charging which is no hassle, and it means that when it eventually needs replacing, you don’t even need to get tools out. Excellent all round.
Light, easy to use and so much more flexible and versatile than my previous larger cleaner. The previous cleaner was high-quality and an excellent machine but heavier and larger with clumsy emptying system. I am so glad I purchased the Vax Blade 4 – wish I had done ages ago!
We got this to replace our old cleaner made by a well known bag less vacuum company beginning with D after several expensive failures over the years.
So far we have been delighted with the ease of use and, more importantly, the ease of emptying the contents without re-spreading the crap all over the house again! You can detach the waste cylinder from the rest of the unit with a single click and the spring-door opens on cue once you’re over the bin (and press the button, of course).
Changing heads for some of the accessories is straightforward and the whole thing feels light and balanced in the hand.
Suction is fine for light stuff on the lightest setting but we tend to stick to the medium setting on carpets and save the ‘all guns blazing’ setting for more stubborn areas. Battery life is good enough to wiz round our 3 bed semi (with extension) on medium setting with the odd burst of full power.
I found this hoover was great overall and done its job but the battery life lets it down. It is good to start with but after a few months you find yourself charging the battery after every single use
vax Blade 4 cordless vacuum cleaner rechargeable. I have only had it 3 days but it is the best vacuum l have ever had, l have had in the past many other different makes even Dyson but I find it too heavy. I am very happy with my purchase from this seller, and would recommend anyone who is looking for a light weight cordless vacuum cleaner to try this one, it only costs 179.99 l think is a good price compared to what I have paid for Dyson, gtech.
Great hoover super powerful, this is our 2nd vax blade 4( I use one for work purposes), stay away from vax 5, I went to upgrade to the vax5 but sent it back as it was no where near as good.
Brilliant hoover!
It has great suction and power! It’s really light and switches to carpet mode to get carpets spotless! It’s got a good range of movement on the head and comes with a bracket to store it on your wall which is really convenient!
I would like to apologise profusely for being a traitor to Vax and trying different hoovers over the past few years. The Dyson was the biggest engineering con ever. It went on fire!!!! The engineering dept at Dyson said they do and replaced it no quibble! It was binned when the replacement ignited shortly after arriving. Th
My Bosch Athlet Pet was very good (but not as good as a Vax, the suction paled in comparison) and the Henry I would have willingly strangled with its own cord!! My beloved Vax arrived this morning and my rug, which had been in storage for nearly 3 years, is all clean and lovely again after charging one of the 2 the batteries. Still lots of charge left! OK, this is a cordless, and a different shape, but it’s cleaning power is easily as good as my original corded Vax which survived a lot of years of hard labour. The dust collector is easy to empty (like all bagless hoovers, you do need to pull hair out) . Its easy to put together, the dog who nearly dies when a hoover comes out isn’t overly worried by this model – she will stay in the room. Now, where are the Vax carpet shampooers? I’ve worn that out after13 years of own use and lending to friends …..
Easy to handle
Good suction and easy to handle. If you have it on full power it does not seem to have a long battery life. Changing the dust bowl and removing the battery very simple. Our last cleaner is still going after 30 years. Not so sure about this one.
After researching for days for the best cordless vaccum cleaner the shark was too expensive and this seemed to be the next best thing!! And they were right!!! This vaccum cleaner is absolutely brilliant!! Strongly recommend
Great hove
This is a nice cordless hover
Very powerful on carpets if the boost button is pressed. Also very good on hard flooring. I put my old hover that is a Henry over the bedrooms the day before this arrived… I used this hover as soon as it arrived.. I was shocked at what it picked up.. Considering the carpets were hoovered the day before. I would definitely recommend this vax. One happy customer here.
Best vacuum eve
Brought this as a temporary replacement Iam now using as my permanent vacuum cleaner I can do my entire house 5 times on 1 charge the vac is lightweight and easy to use plus you get a 3yr warrenty once you register via vax official website. The suction rivals that of my previous upright corded vacuum cleaner the cylinder is a joy to clean no nonsense.
Great hoover but battery pack is heavier than anticipated – especially for my 89 year old mother. Took her a bit of practice to empty the cannister. Comes with a fitting to attach to the wall for it to stand up, which it needs as it falls over due to the weight and position of the battery. Would recommend, and was good value compared to others on the market, but be aware of the above.
Great vacumn shame let down by registration of 3 year warrantee.I failed gave up a complicated procedure.
Completed form online for to register but it wants a photo of receipt I now have to use laptop to print a receipt and then use tablet to take picture ,then upload to vax a pain so have not bothered. Also a prize should be given for serial number in very small text and a super long number gigantic etc Iam 64 years and do have computer literacy of a 25 year old who would have studied computer science at school. END OF STORY
Legacy have since registered successfully
I resisted buying a cordless vac for ages because I thought they wouldn’t do the.j9b but this one does. Will do the house easily on one charge. I would have given it 5 stars but I’ve knocked one off because it is a bit on the heavy side.
I didn’t set out to buy a vax but after reading the reviews I was impressed and now I am impressed with the vacuum itself. Why 4 stars? The batter life doesn’t last long especially if you have it on full suction, which I do. It last about 15mins BUT it is well worth the time to recharge because in all else it truly excels any cordless vacuum I have had to date. I work my cleaning around recharging which takes no time at all OR I hoover little and often ie. each day. I am thinking in investing in a second battery but am hesitating because I really don’t need it. I’d definitely recommend this vacuum to anyone thinking of purchasing one. In my mind it was definitely worth the money which in fact was cheaper than any of my previous brands and the one I had originally intended to buy.
It’s lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. It cleans hard floors really well. The battery life is more than enough. It doesn’t have anti wrap hair technology so the vacuum head needs cleaning a bit more regularly if you have long hair.
I would recommend.
In all honesty I can’t give this tool a five-star. True it is very convenient for some jobs. Unexpectedly I find it irritating to have to charge the batteries, having started a job with not enough battery life. It is heavy when not in use – especially when going upstairs. It does not, for example, pick up the leaves that may fall off a houseplant (of which I have many}. You physically have to lift it on to the leaves using the extra suction! That said it is a quick/useful gadget when on the flat and brilliant if you spill powdery type waste!
Good suction love a vax but don’t let it drop this is my 2nd one in 6 months it fell and the doors on dust catchers and filter wouldn’t close the brush would not go round and led light didn’t work other bits came off. It wasn’t dropped from a great height it just slide down the wall I leant
it against to the floor so not sturdy but good suction even the suction is not what it was when I bought my first vax but still better than some of the more famous brands I have had them all but return always to vax best of a bad lot. As we are not in Europe any longer maybe we will get stronger suction’s back in our hoovers
Everything you need in a vacuum cleaner.
I had a Dyson for the last 2 years thought I’d look around Blade 4 popped up I checked the reviews performance and description. All good so I purchased it,on Wednesday it arrived today set it up which was pretty simple.I’ve used it 3 or 4 times already. My only regret is I didn’t buy it sooner. My old Dyson which wasn’t that old doesn’t come close.Absolutely brilliant would definitely recommend it. 🙂 🙂
My mum always had a vax through the years and was always impressed. We had a Shark but it wasn’t great so I went for a vax. It’s good. I’m pleased. Battery is fine. Does the whole house in 25 minutes with one bar of power left (this is using it on all settings). Easy to carry around. It did initially look as though the brush wasn’t working but it was, it just spins so fast you can’t see it!
The Vax Blade 4 performs pretty much as well as our old handheld Dyson at a fraction of price, so that’s an easy plus in this vac’s favour. Some quality of life features like the LED lights on the head, and the spinning carpet brush are neat too.
Compared to some handheld cordless vacs though it is really quite chunky and on the heavy side. I don’t find it unmanoeuvrable but after 15 to 20 minutes of use my arm is starting to seriously ache. That’s OK for us because we’re the kind of house to only do a room at a time.
If you’re someone whose vac routine is to do a whole house in one go, you’ll need to have some decent upper body strength, and you’ll probably need more than one battery because on the higher suction settings (and lets face it, they’re the only settings these battery powered vacs are any good on) you’re running out of power within 20 minutes. Charge times aren’t excessive – a few hours will see it back to full.
You’ll also need to have emptied the dust chamber out frequently on big vac jobs as it’s not exactly roomy. And how fast this thing fills up with dust gives a good indication of this vac’s ability to hunt down dirt. It’s a thorough little machine!
If someone in the house has long hair – especially hair with curls – expect the vac’s cylinder brush in the pickup head to choke up with hair strands within days. It’s easy enough to remove the brush and cut off the hair with a knife every now and then, but it’s a layer of nuisance that isn’t there with the Dyson.
Robust bit of kit, that hangs on a supplied upright wall mounted ‘cradle’ under our stairs, so easy to grab and start work. Suction is amazing and powered brush head works a treat (equally powerful). Cleaning is easy, once remembered what to do, but living in a house with 3 women means lots of long hair wrapping around the brush (heavily…) which has to be cut off, via the brush roller grooves (designed for this) which is a a bit of a chore..! Purchased to aid our plug in Miele pull along vacuum cleaner, which has been great… but now releagted by the Vax Blade into becoming a spare (not used it once since buying the Vax Blade). Recommended..! My purchase price 165.00
Perfect if you’re a busy parent with little ones. It’s lightweight, super easy and quick to use. No playing around with cord.
Suction is just alright although it would be amazing if it could suck the dirt from sides too. Maybe an idea for new model…
Battery life as described, 45 min tops on highest power.
Downside that it’s a bit messy to clean the dust bin and hairbrush as well as it is a bit loud.
Spider exterminato
You’re wondering if this is good for hoovering up the massive house spiders aren’t you? Look no further, this thing is an absolute beast, set it to the higher suction mode and it will instantly suck up any size spider you point it at.
It’s brilliant for other hoovering too but let’s be honest you just want it for spiders. 😉
Best hoover iv bought in years
Best hoover and I was prof cleaner for 15 years. Especially power head I love my little friend thank you
It makes me happy
Very good hoove
Be careful on laminate floor as it can damage the laminate
Lifts dirt my old vacuum hadn't even noticed.
Only just received but it has already rejuvenated the carpet. Excellent suction, I didn’t realise how bad my old vacuum had become.
Its nice to get an item and it does what you want it to do
This is a great hover you will not be disappointed
Super vac
For the price the vac CLSV-B4KS cordless vacuum cleaner is a little beauty it has good suction battery is easy to charge nice and portable can even get right under the bed and wow the dust it can find under there no need to move bed result
Would definitely recommend this vax
Very good
Has much better suction than previous dyson and has more than enough battery to do my whole house. Not the lightest but not too heavy and still easy to use.
Best rechargeable
This is the best rechargeable vacuumed we have had.easy to use throughout the house on carpets and hard floors. The only small down is that my wife finds it quite top heavy, this is a small fault on a great machine.
Exceeded my expectations!
The Vax cordless PWR Blade 4 is fantastic! I was a little reluctant to purchase a battery operated vacuum cleaner, thinking that it couldn’t possibly have the same suction power as an electric one to the contrary! It’s incredible how much dust this vacuum can tackle! It’s light and very easy to assemble and disassemble, in order to clean. I love the the light feature when you use the roller brush, which enables you to see beneath furniture, such as a bed or a sofa. All in all, I highly recommend it, however, I would recommend purchasing another battery for a bigger property – let’s say a three bedroom – as the battery runs out fairly quickly, most certainly if higher power is necessary for deeper cleaning.
The machine definitely does what it claims, which is to vacuum up dirt from the floor and from carpets. It has enough controls to ensure a good performance on both smooth floors and carpets. It’s quite powerful and the battery lasts very well in our typical pattern of use (a one-storey flat). It comes with a clip arrangement that one can attach inside a cupboard, so storing the machine is efficient.
It was heavier than I expected, and the dirt container is quite small so needs emptying quite frequently. The emptying is a bit fiddly, and I managed to drop the dirt container when I started using it, but one gets used to it. It is hard to say how long the rigid plastic of the container will last – just don’t drop it on a hard floor! When you want to stop using it for a short time, for example to move furniture, you find that you can’t stand it up or reliably lean it against a wall etc. To rest it, you have to lie it horizontally on the floor, which seems awkward. Still, it’s proved much more convenient than my previous wired cleaner, which was of good quality and powerful, but a pain to drag around and keep plugged in. So, recommended.
Does the job well, a bit more awkward than expected

Good allrounde
Excellent all rounder except for battery life. The manufacturers say you can clean the whole house on one charge …maybe if you don’t use the plus butto
What an excellent power - packed vacuum. Performance is 5 star.
I like the design and functionality. It is lightweight. I was able to vacuum the whole house, with plenty of battery power remaining.
Brilliant produc
Best hoover I have used great for around a small new build house. Brilliant on my stairs carpet when you take the attachment off and have a small hand held for each step plus the turbo button for carpets is a great feature. Overall very pleased will never buy an upright agai

Good but be aware of a few drawbacks before buying
Firstly, it is important to say that in the main we have been really pleased with this Vax PWR blade 4 and are glad we purchased it. We have had it for about 18 months now and in terms of convenience and ease of use in normal operation (for a quick vac all around the house or in one particular room) it is really good. However, we also have a ‘Hetty’ (Henry) type vacuum too and I think we would struggle if we didn’t have both. We have found a few drawbacks with the Vax:
1a. Brush bar – gets clogged very quickly (at least in our house) – I have my wife two daughters and a springer spaniel and it seems I am forever removing the brush bar because it gets quickly clogged with hair, bits of cotton / string etc and if you don’t deal with this regularly the brush bar stops picking up and eventually jams.
1b. Brush bar and 3 year warranty issues – also the brush bar started making some very bad noises and had to be replaced – we had the ‘3 year’ extended warranty so I thought it would be free of charge but when you read the small print the 3 years warranty only covers the ‘main unit and not accessories’ – Vax counts the brush bar as an accessory (which I was very frustrated at because clearly it is not an accessory and is integral to the vacuum) and despite the fact it was just a few days out of its one year warranty Vax were unprepared to replace it for me so buying one from them wasn’t cheap – really disappointed with Vax on this one
2. Poor hand held Vacuum – despite how it looks on the video, I was really disappointed at how difficult it is to turn the normal vacuum into a hand held ‘dust buster’ type vacuum (it is quite stiff and difficult to pull apart – you have to wrestle with it and use quite a bit of force) and then how poorly it performs when you do. I have tried it around the house a few times (to get the collecting dust off bit of carpet next to skirting board that the vax with brush bar doesn’t seem to get) and in the end I find it easier to lug out the Hetty than use the Vax for this. Also when buying this I had one eye on being to easily and quickly vacuum the car – tried it a few times but reverted back to our Hetty vacuum because it was so difficult to do and didn’t do a very good job
3. High power drains charge. Battery life is excellent on normal power, but if you use it on high power then it drains very quickly – high power is really great in terms of suction but you would have to move quickly to vacuum a whole house on this setting
4. Constant emptying – we have had to get in the habit of emptying the vacuum every time we use it as it does not have much capacity at all and soon gets full. The dust collector unit is quite easy to remove but the dust and debris doesn’t often simply ‘fall out’ so you need to be prepared to pull at the fluff etc or take the top bit off and remove the centre section which then gets a bit faffy. Replacing the dust collector can be a bit tricky at first but once you get the hang of it usually happens quite easily.
As I say, we are generally pleased but be aware of those issues before you buy

What's not to like
Chuffed with this battery vacuum, good suction, decent battery life and a very competitive price.
Love i
Bought for my Mum liked it so much I bought one too!
Good Hoover however I find it a bit heavy. Performs well
Good Hoover. I find it a bit on the heavy side. Not as lightweight as dyson. Suction is good and brings pile up on carpets.
Love this vax machine
I love this hoover it’s lightweight ,good battery life and easy to clea
Why didn't we buy before?
Just fantastic! A* in every respect!
Just wish I’d bought one before, since Vax 4 blade is so easy to action, even though I am over 70!!!
Better than my dyson!
Great suction, easy to empty, hangs on the wall out of the way, brilliant for the car, quick battery charger..excellent vac!
Best hoover I have ever owned
This replaces my dyson and is the best hoover I have owned can’t find the words to express this enough
Our first cordless vacuum
Neat and efficient little cordless vacuum. Only used it 4 or 5 times since purchase but happy with it. Great feature that it can be dismantled easily for hand held use eg stair carpets. Battery charge sufficient for 3 bed house although we have wooden hallway downstairs. Wall mount facilitates neat storage .
No more cables to deal with
The vax is very light & the battery life is better than expected. I especially like the lack of bags, just tip out the simple container easily.
Super suctio
After buying a cheap Hoover my daughter took it back so I bought her this one as I’ve wanted one myself. She was amazed buy the suction and couldn’t believe how much dust it got out. So easy to empty too.
Good suctio
I have been using a Dyson but it was not very good picking up bits. This one is far superior , more powerful, had a light on front which is super for seeing in corners. Very impressed

Good buy.
Definitely needs boost mode for carpets otherwise great for tiled floors.
Perfect item
Had trouble carrying my old vacuum cleaner upstairs and this one is just a perfect weight. Also not having to plug it in while moving from room to room is a godsend.

Easy to use and empty.
Very easy to use and good manoeuvrability, the light a bonus, easy to empty, also enough time to clean on battery. Very pleased with it.
Not Bad
Suction not great and battery does not last 45 mins. Useful but there are better cordless models.
An excellent cordless vacuum
This is the best money can buy for under 200. It has really good suction in boost, which lasts 40+ mins !, not sure what more you could want in a standard house. I personally bought the car set, which really makes this the complete cordless.
Excellent, light and powerful vacuum cleane
Really pleased with this. So much easier to use than that Dyson ball vac we had before. There suction power is impressive. The detachable battery means we don’t need to keep the whole unit near a power point, just the battery.
Excellent all-round cordless vacuum!
I’ve been using this Vax for a good few months and have been very impressed with it. I’ve owned several vacuums including the Dyson V8 cordless. The Dyson was great, to begin with, but quickly lost suction power and the battery died too fast.
The suction power of this Vax is excellent and I love the main cleaning head as it works well on both carpet and hard flooring. Unlike the Dyson V8, this had an independently controlled roller brush that once switched on allows the vacuum to glide over hard flooring. This option also turns on the front LED headlight which helps massively to see dust and debris that would otherwise be invisible in normal light.
The second thing I love about this vacuum is the removable battery and separate charging cradle. It means I have never run out of juice as I did with Dyson. This lasts anywhere between 30 to 45 mins depending on suction mode.
In term of handling, this design of this vacuum takes a little getting used to. It seems heavier to handle compared to the Dyson, even though they’re similar in size.
One thing that seems to never get mentioned is the easiness of cleaning. This is easier than Dyson to empty and clean. Dust would always get stuck in the Dyson and I’d have to get my hand in to remove it. On the Vax, just open the flap, empty, done.
Overall, this is as close to the perfect cordless vacuum cleaner you will get. I love it! Much better than the Dyson V8!

Good suction power.
Easy to empty the dust cylinder. A bit weighty at the top in end where the handle and the battery is.
Ideal with no cable!
The VAX is really handy when you wish to do a quick clean up in various rooms and the battery seems to last very well without the need to charge every time you use it.
On the downside the dust cylinder seems to fill very quickly and it also seems quite awkward to take off and replace, I guess I need to get used to it.
Very handy addition to a conventional plug in vacuum.
A must have!!
Absolutely love this Hoover. Great suction, easy to manoeuvre and glides well.
Excellent product and highly recommend
The highest setting is capable of pulling grout from between tiles ha ha! A great product. My only small gripe is the product doesn;t last long on the highest suction setting but still lasts 20 mins or so. I would recommend.
Easy to use
I took a little time to adapt to this after large corded machines but find it very easy to use. The dirt box does need emptying very regularly and cleaning and the filter cleaning too but not a problem. My husband uses it too and I am very pleased about that!
Good job.
No dislikes + nice and light the wife can handle it so i got out of a job.
VAX blade 4
Purchased to replace corded Dyson which became too heavy to lug up & down stairs. This is much more convenient& works well on carpets, laminate floor & uneven quarry tiles. Being able to detach the long stem to turn into a handheld for the stairs is very handy. Easy to empty & to clean the roller brush with scissors as described (need to download as the suppleid is just a quick start guide). Stores neatly against the wall. We bought an extra battery but you don’t really need it. Very pleased.
No more excuses for me to not use one!
I’ve owned upright corded and bagless vacuum cleaners before but they are always a chore to use, whether it’s getting the cord wrapped/unwrapped, pushing the heavy machine along with both hands as it gets tiring with just 1, emptying and cleaning it, or the constant fight and worry over moving the power cable out of the way so you don’t accidentally chew through it.
However this cordless is lightweight enough that one hand is capable of using it for the whole time and it is quite easy to empty and disassemble for storage, and I’m quite a lazy guy so I’ve actually got less excuses for not picking this up and flipping a switch to use than if I was to contemplate having to take 5-10 minutes to setup and lug the standard corded vacuum along to do the same job.
Ok but some design faults
Although the suction power is great, the vacuum is quite heavy and top heavy due to the battery by the handle.
Manoeuvrability is good and head is small enough to get under and round furniture
Unfortunately it does not “stand up’ on it’s own so you need to lie it down when moving something and we have to “prop” it up in a cupboard as we have no where suitable to hang it on a wall
Brillia
Really impressed with this product. Great suction with a boost function! Brilliant piece of kit much cheaper than a Dyson as well :))
Great hoover hire the price
Light weight and plenty of power, good value for money. I had a Dyson V11 which was pretty heavy and you have to hold your finger on the start all the time. This has a start and stop which I much prefe

A Good Vacuum Cleaner with excellent suction.
The Vax Blade 4 vacuum cleaner is an excellent product with no real disadvantages except that it will not stand up on its own. This is a common fault with all similar types of cleaner. Vax are offering a free tool kit worth 50 when purchased direct from them. Amazon do not offer this. Vax also provide free next day delivery.
Good Suction / cordless /manoeuvrability /reasonably priced
It is a bit top heavy/ it stiff to manoeuvre to start with but alot better after a few times of use.
Suction is great especially as its a cordless. Battery doesn’t take long to charge/ it does not stand up alone but that’s not a problem as its not my main vacuum cleaner. Has a bracket to store it which works for me. Bin on it is small but again that fine for me and the price is great.
Great for what I want it for, in between times for a tidy up on carpets and I use it on hard floors instead of sweeping.
does the job
akes a little getting used to as cylinder makes it top heavy being close to the handle.
Powerful. 5☆
Absolutely love my Vax one Power Blade. Its so lightweight, very powerful and fun to use.
5 stars
Absolutely love this hover still a bit heavy to hold
Very pleased
It is light weight and very easy to manoeuvre around furniture. The suction is great, and you have the option to turn the roller brush off particularly when using it on my thick rug which is too thick with the roller function on. Only criticism is when emptying i have to use something long to get everything out as just shaking/ tapping the drum isn’t enough to get all the fluff and dust out. All in all love it and would totally recommend it.
Awesome
This is one brilliant bit of kit. From a background in the cleaning industry I had my doubts, but what a brilliant machine. I would recommend to anyone, it’s probably slashed the time it takes to use a traditional vacuum by 80%
Get a spill, vac it, job done
Excellent product, quick delivery
Product was a handheld, cordless vacuum cleaner with excellent performance. Delivery was extremely fast.
Much better than my older Dyso
I had my concerns when buying this hoover but I am glad to say that is proving to be a really good replacement for my old dyson and in my opinion is a much better performer. It is a little heavier but manageable and the addition of an optional light is handy, battery life is really good.
Good value for money
Good suction easy manoeuvrability it is lightweight and it certainly meets my requirement I really like it It’s certainly better than a Gtech in my opinio
This is light and easy to use, it can be whipped out at a moment’s notice to do “spot cleaning” – even if you have guests – so the whole house remains clean. It is actually fun and I have seen children vying with each other to be the one to use it!
The battery probably would do the whole house, but the dust container may need emptying halfway around. It is a much safer way to do the stairs than our corded vacuum cleaner.
It comes with a clamp to secure it against a wall for storage and I would recommend using it, or there is a danger of it toppling over if it just stood on the floor.
So easy to use and light to carry
I love it but it’s not great on shaggy rugs. You can only use the selection for flat floor on those rugs & it doesn’t seem to pick up that well. Other than that it’s fab.
Easy to use with powerful suctio
I like this Vacuum cleaner with it powerful suction especially with high power mode. The disadvantage is that battery will run out a lot quicker with high power mode. I have brought a second battery to allow quick swop .
