Good value for money
This is a good little mower for the money(I got a strimmer as part of the deal) make sure you cut your grass every 7to 10 days and it will give you a nice finish and cope easily dont expect it to deal with anything over 5 inches of grass and make sure the grass is dry it really makes a big difference not that it wont cut it but it will struggle to throw it into the box I cut the lawn then took the battery out and put it in the strimmer to do the fencelines and obstacles about 25 mins work and the battery still had plenty of charge left I dont like the handles being held in with self tap screws to the mower thats poor! Cmon yardforce drill the holes out and fit with bolts why build a good mower and then spoil it by pulling a stunt like that!! but dont let that put you off just realise its limitations it is the baby of the range after all

After much research of various cordless mowers I’d set my sights on a different model, however it was out of stock everywhere I looked. In the end I decided to go with this Yard Force set at the bottom end of the price brackets. I wasn’t expecting much, but I’m been pleasantly surprised by the performance, especially for the price. I have a Flymo corded mower and strimmer which are a real pain to use and my opinion of the Yard Force mower and strimmer is in comparison to those. So firstly the strimmer. Works well, no real performance dips when tackling the slightly longer length grass and worked great around the edges of the lawn vs the flymo. The mower was extremely light and manoeuvrable vs my Flymo. It did get some motor slow down on longer grass which I expected with it’s brushed motor (brushless deliver better performance). However reading other reviews I knew that strimming linger grass first, then cutting on the highest length setting first, then reducing aided performance and has delivered a cut on par, if not better than my Flymo. Tips for use: strim long grass down first, then utilise the highest setting on the mower, followed by a lower setting. As other reviews have stated, the level 4 length setting is probably as low as you really need to go, especially if your garden is sloped and not even ground. A final tip would be to purchase a second battery. A single charge completed around 2 thirds of our garden, so switching the battery helped get the cut completed in one sitting. This will still be a cheaper option than other comparable options available. The charge time for batteries is impressive, just over an hour for a full charge. No this set won’t be on par with high end models, but for those with a small garden, cutting regularly and wanting to break free from a corded Flymo, this should deliver.

It came with a strimmer and Disappointed as it really needed 2 batteries. So have bought an extra one but the batteries are expensive(80) .
Apart from that the mower is good value for money. Does what it says

Does a good job, battery lasts well not suitable for very long grass, but keep on top of the cutting it’s great. Strimmer does a good job to. 60×20 lawn strimmed and cut without battery running out.

I bought this ‘end of season’ last year at an amazing price, so couldn’t really try it out until recently.
Very pleased with every aspect.
Enough battery life for my needs. Excellent cut, easy to move around and compact for storage.
Might not suit larger lawns or those that are a bit ‘Rustic’ though.

My husband raves about this. We have a small lawn and he can cut it in just 10 minutes. It even leaves stripes on the lawn. Easy to adjust cutting height and all grass is collected. Battery charge lasted longer than expected and was fairly quick to charge. Great price too. Very happy with purchase.

I like many others got very frustrated after the winter I tried to get the mower going again and failed. The trimmer works fine so I knew it wasn’t battery related. A day later I tried again and found that if I toggled the lever whilst pressing the button it seemed to work. It’s like the lever sits too far back so won’t allow start button to be pressed in fully. Happy mowing again.

A Really Great Lawn-Mower and Strimmer Set at a really great price! :)
I purchased this product for the special offer price of 115.15, and was very impressed with both the overall quality and practicality of the Cordless Mower and Cordless Strimmer and Battery Pack. 🙂 Normally I take some 2 hours to cut my lawn with my old corded mower, and decided that I needed an upgrade to make the job much easier etc!
I was very surprised that the Yard-Force lawn-mower set allows me to mow the lawn in just over 30 minutes, with a really nice result indeed! It should also be noted that the x1 battery pack took about 1 hour to charge, and lasts about 35 minutes on an average lawn-mower cut.
I found that the only downside was the actual assembly of the lawn-mower itself, where I had a little trouble aligning the handle screws / handle holes etc. However, this slight problem should not detract from what is essentially a really great product at a really great price! Thank-you! 🙂

The battery has a push button feature which tells you what percentage charge is left. I started cutting the grass with 100% and after ten minutes of cutting there was still 76% left, so I guess it would be good for about 40 minutes. My lawn took 10 minutes to cut and I was well pleased with this as my old machine took 20 minutes, partly because it was not as powerful as the Yard Force and partly because time was wasted moving the wire around the lawn.
The handle was a little difficult to assemble as lining up the screw holes is not easy, but it is a nice tight fit and once assembled feels very durable.
I would certainly recommend this lawn mower.

Had an old hover mower which threw grass everywhere, those days are gone now!
Surprisingly powerful.
So far only used it twice but am surprised by the power. You do need to cut through the longer grass a bit slower but it’s surprisingly good.
It took over 3 weeks to arrive with 4 failed delivery dates, which was getting a bit tedious but worth the wait.
I only have a postage stamp of grass & used to take me longer to get the extension in & out than cut the grass. Not anymore. Also really good at picking up the clippings.

The only grumble I have is that if you’re anything over 5’8″ tall then you’re going to have to stoop a little to use it which can make your back ache. The handles do adjust but even at their highest point I have to squat down a bit as I push the mower.
Now for the points people have mentioned:
Cutting out – it does not keep cutting out unless you have it set to the wrong height setting. It cuts out for safety if you have it set too low because the blade would be damaging itself by hitting the ground. You only need it on a high setting (5 or 6) to get a great low cut. There’s no need to use the lower numbers.
Battery jumping out – mine hasn’t once. No problems at all.
Roller – yes it does have a roller and yes it can produce stripes.
May 2022 update – After over 2 and a half years of use, this is still a great mower that’s had no problems at all. I find I don’t even notice the problem where I had to squat a little to use it, I suppose I just got used to it after a few cuts. It’s so light I even mow my lawn with one hand at times so it’s easier to pivot it around.
After many cuts, the battery still has never jumped out once and since my original review I have used the strimmer that came with it, which is also great. It’s easy to switch the battery between mower and strimmer and even using both items like that only uses 30% of the batteries charge.
The blade is still sharp and I now use it on the lowest cutting setting all of the time, even for the first cut of the year, with no problems. My garden is on a slope with old tree roots and some sunken bricks (I don’t know how they ended up like that!) and it still doesn’t cut out or hit them. I even push it over paving slabs to get from one side of the garden to the other with the motor still running and it cuts the edges of the grass nicely without hitting the concrete slabs.
Nothing has broken or needed any maintenance. Still a great mower!

Its great being cordless! Just wizz around the garden, no cable go get tangled of cut! Only down side: battery doesnt last long, but will last for a reasonable sized lawd. Worth buying a second battery.

I was a little sceptical regarding battery powered lawnmowers in regards to if they would produce enough power to cut thick long grass and battery run time but thought i’d give it a go with this one, best decision I made, managed to cut the back and front lawns with both the lawnmower and trimmer and still had over 50% battery life left, no issues with long grass, cut through with ease, light weight, compact and easy to use, I highly recommend this.

I was a little sceptical regarding battery powered lawnmowers in regards to if they would produce enough power to cut thick long grass and battery run time but thought i’d give it a go with this one, best decision I made, managed to cut the back and front lawns with both the lawnmower and trimmer and still had over 50% battery life left, no issues with long grass, cut through with ease, light weight, compact and easy to use, I highly recommend this.
Happy with my purchase
It’s OK and does what I need to do. Does struggle with wet grass but otherwise pretty good. Battery will do my medium size gardens if done regular but have a spare battery just in case. Overall happy with the purchase.

Compared to my previous electric plug in mower, it’s fab – no cables or extension leads to worry about. Battery in and off you go. Machine is very light and makes light work of the cutting. Love it.

I’ve always had electric lawnmowers which are a pain with the cable but I didn’t want the hassle or weight of a cord free petrol one. I hadn’t heard of battery powered ones till my old lawnmower died and I popped onto amazon to buy a replacement.
I had my reservations but as a single mum with limited time and a child who cries every time I mow the lawn (he hates the noise) I was willing to take the chance.
I assembled it in about 10 mins. Instructions are simple and it’s really straightforward. Charged the battery overnight and away I went.
It’s really easy to move the blade up and down, simple handle at front. Extremely lightweight & easy to manoeuvre and the grass basket is a tardis! What’s not to love? The price is the icing on the cake. Fingers crossed it lasts!!
Haven’t tried the edger yet but to get both for the money is great value. I’d have paid that just for the lawnmower.

I love it is so easy to use. It’s a pity it didn’t have two batteries. But it great.
Was skeptical about purchasing this as it’s battery powered but I didn’t need to be. It’s very light weight and easy to manage. Just cut the grass for the first time and did An amazing job. Would deffo recommend.

I have quite a lot of grass, so I cut it in sections and the battery life is just right for each one. Only one black mark, no replacement spools for the trimmer. All in all Im very pleased with this purchase!!!

Nice close cut on number 3, the grass was quite long but didn’t need to keep going over it to cut- (unlike other mowers I have used in the past). Gets quite close to the fence, and strimmer did the rest without issue- great that you can adjust the angle of the head so easily. No negative points at this stage.

Without seeing it first I was slightly worried but for the price I thought it would be worth a shot and I’m so pleased I took a punt on it!

Very light and easy to use cuts grass really well
This is great, easy to put together and the battery lasts well. I have a smallish Garden and was able to cut and strim in the same session. About 45 mins altogether and only half battery used. The battery has a life indicator to let you know how much power is left.

Exacly what I needed
Great value for money, lightweight and easy to use – even my 7 year old boy can mow the lawn with this. I have a moderate lawn area back and front let’s say 1,000 sq ft in all and it can manage that on one charge if the grass is already under control!

Excellent products, package arrived Saturday, used Monday mower cut really well it really surprised me as it’s battery driven, would I buy again yes no problem! Very pleased with this purchase

Probably best equipment I’ve ever bought, quickest lawn mower & strimmer I’ve used. Battery lasts long enough for small front & rear medium sized gardens.

Just bought a new place with a smaller back garden (100 sqm), small enough that I couldn’t justify getting somebody else to look after it. I’ve had electric mowers before and always hated/managed to damage the cord. This is just the right size for the job.
First go was a bit of a chore given it hadn’t been mowed in at least a month, probably 6-7 inches high. Set the height to the maximum and it managed it fine, though it did struggle on the thicker bits, it never gave up. I just slowed down a bit and it chewed through it. Made a second pass on a lower setting to get a bit tidier and it managed that just fine as well. Checked the battery at the end and had 19% left, enough to strim the edges. The strimmer is “ok” but seems a bit less capable that the mower. However, it does the job if a bit fiddly about it.
Just went out and did it again (a week later) and no issues. Got through the whole thing with 43% to spare. I’m hoping it lasts a couple summers, but well pleased so far. For the price, you can’t beat it.

The battery is really good – it has a button on it to show how much percentage of juice it has left and the charger is easily kept in the house or garage. The mower is light and easy to handle and the strimmer, though heavier, is very efficient. The battery is simply swapped from one item to another. A more heavyweight mower and strimmer would be more robust in the long run, but I would not be able to use them. This set is ideal for a small to medium garden. Highly recommend.

Extremely pleased with this mower and strimmer – lightweight and easy to use. Enquired about extra battery direct with Yard force and they do sell them. But can’t see the need as battery life is longer enough for my mum – besides if it runs out it only takes 90 minutes to recharge plenty enough time for a coffee

First proper cut of the year so set it to the middle setting (3) and it cut ok. On occasion needed to tilt to spin the blades and the battery cut out halfway. Otherwise it cut well. Will try a shorter cut after a few days.
