|---|---|---|
| Dobble is a speedy observation game where players race to match the identical symbol between cards. | Reliant on a sharp eye and quick reflexes, Dobble creates excitement for children and adults alike while keeping every player involved in the action. | Every card is unique and has only one symbol in common with any other in the deck. The match can be difficult to spot as the size and positioning of the symbols can vary on each card. |
| | | |
|---|---|---|
| As the game is based on reactions and visual perception, rather than knowledge or strategy, there is no advantage for adults over children, making it the perfect family game. | Many must see themes: Animals, Camping, 123, but also your beloved characters, such as Harry Potter, Elsa,… | Take it Anywhere Dobble is simple to learn, quick to play but a challenge to master. Dobble’s gameplay and its pocket sized tin make it the ideal party or travel game. |

Simple & Entertaining
Very popular game. I work at an airport and see lots and lots of families and children come through with Dobble. My son had it at his flat and we played it as a family, it is great fun for all ages with a variety of different games you can play. Easy to cary and ended up buying myself a pack.

Best game we've played!
This is a MUST have for travelling and also for at home. It is simple to learn and so much fun, we spent hours at a time playing it on holiday recently. Our 5 year old was able to play it & actually got pretty good after a few games so I’d say this would be better than the junior version for children of a similar age. Definitely one of the best games that we have ever played…we highly recommend it!
Kids and adults love this game!
My Mum discovered this game in Switzerland as she was playing with my niece and nephew in a ludotheque (a toy library). I ordered it from Amazon, and now we play it all the time! Adults enjoy this game as well, so it’s not just for kids. It’s very easy to learn, and there are 5 different ways to play the game. It comes with a little booklet that explains the 5 ways to play the game. Quality is top notch, great value for money.

How have we lived without dobble in our lives!
This has got to be one of my favourite family activity for a rainy day. I buy it for everyone that doesn’t have one and they say the same. I gave it to a friend who is also a school teacher and she took it into school.. the rest of the teachers went out and bought a set for their families at home and for their classes. Genius fun card game.

Fun game
Introduced to me by a mate, it’s now a standard dinner party / drinks game staple. There are 5 different ways to play the game, which is brilliant. Try them all and choose which you find the most fun. I like game 5 from the instructions. Probably the most fun. This isn’t a game you’ll end up playing for a whole night, but it’s good fun for a bit. Think it would also be really good for kids – although I see they do have a kids’ version.
So much fun and so easy to play
Had great fun with this. We used it before we went out on a night out, added a few drinking rules however, if you want to be more mature about it and have some family fun, you can’t go wrong with this game. Easy to learn, great fun, everyone gets very competitive. Would highly recommend to any game love

Excellent game - great for holidays
We love this little card game. The a is to match pictures so can be played with children who are young or who have a limited vocabulary. The whole family loves this one. Nice when you’ve only got 15 minutes and no time for a bigger game. Very compact and great for taking on holiday. Have purchased additional copies as gifts for family members.

a fun game
played this with other adults for about half hr. enjoyable and funny. my grandson who is 2 also likes the cards, as he can spot various pictures on them , so he uses them in a completely different way than intended but still a learning game for him.
not the most complicated game in the world but its ok to fill in an hr or so when you’re having some time with friends or family
Simply genius!
Such a simple game, it offers hours of fun! I bought it as an icebreaker for a group of teenagers who didn’t know each other and we were all hooked immediately! All 5 versions of the game are very easy to learn and players of any age can join in and play against each other. The size is perfect for throwing it into a handbag of hand luggage. My only gripe is that I should have bought this years ago!
Brilliant game for the family.
A great family game of spot the animal….a couple of variations in the tin, most of which we have played and enjoyed each one. The tin is a nice compact size, and the cards are of good quality. We throw this in the back pack and take to restaurants to play with our 3 and 4 year olds while we wait.
It can be harder for the adults to spot the animals than the kids!
Bought this for my wife as she likes basic games like UNO and is competitive as hell. To my horror she also destroys me almost every time we play. My eyesight isn’t the best but when she’s shouting out the names of the objects on the cards as she slams them down, it’s like I’m blinded. The cards become a blur and I start to imply she’s cheating as she can’t possiblly be faster at matching up two snowmen than I am. The more she speaks the more my brain freezes and I wonder whether the years of marriage have somehow programmed my brain to shutdown. Maybe I’m a walkover. Maybe I give up to easy. Maybe my own competitiveness consumes me like a straight jacket. All I know is, there will be many more defeats to come as I stubbornly expose myself to a relentless wave of igloo’s ladybugs and treble clefts that mock me as I stare them straight in the face. If you back yourself and want to destroy your partners life you should definitely get this game.
Ingenius game!!!
This game is soooo much fun and suitable for all ages. I am a resource primary teacher (grade school) and use it with my pupils. I have a 9 yr old pupil with a lot of learning difficulties who needs a lot of support with reading, writing and his attention span and he is amazing at this game. It’s fantastic to see how much confidence it gives him and he regularly asks to play it. He often beats me fair and square! My 3 yr old nephew, 6 yr old niece and 40 yr old sister are also big fans. We all play it together. I can’t recommend this game highly enough! Whoever devised it is a genius.
Awesome game
We – the family – love this. It’s in a sturdy tin that small enough so no problem with storing it. Easy to take on train journeys to play with the kids. Lots of different game options. Have no idea how the designers have managed to work out that there’s something on every card that matches. Highly recommend.

Simple, fun game.
We bought this for Christmas and have played it a number of times. Youngest aged 8, eldest aged 72. We all love it! There are 5 games in 1, but you’re essentially matching two symbols. It’s such a simple concept, but really addictive.
I love the fact that the cards are contained in a small tin, so it’s really easy to travel with.
My kids (11 and 8) are probably better at this game than we are.
Great game for wide range of ages
This was recommended to me by a friend where it is a family favourite. Pleased to say it has likewise become one of our favourite family games to play. Concept is simple so younger children can also take part. A group of young kids can play together. If playing competitively with older children and adults we team up the younger children to give then a fair chance and in a team they often win. Great game. Quite quick to play as well but holds interest well over many games so is a versatile option depending on how much time you have available.
Super fun game for kids and silly drunk adults alike
We played this in our local and were instantly hooked. The great thing about this game is that you can play it inebriated with fellow childish adults or you can play with the more junior members of the family. It’s a super fun simple game, although there are lots of different ways to play to keep it different. We introduced this to my mum on Christmas day and over the course of a gin she picked it right up (I’m not saying you don’t need to be drunk but it’s fun) and it was one of the most funniest parts of the day. It’s super fun and competitive but rounds are short so you’re not going to spend the entire evening doing it, and if you’re playing with kids it’s short and exciting enough to keep their attention. Definitely recommend this fun little game
Brilliantly simple game
What a brilliant game – such a simple idea and lots of alternative ways of playing it. It is great for kids and adults alike – the kids are actually better at it! All the cards have at least one matching symbol with all the other cards and the trick is to find it … it sounds easy but you’d be surprised; they are all the same symbol but in different places and different sizes. How you fail to see a 2cm symbol in the centre of a card is beyond me!
A Great Family Game!
What a fabulous game. A simple idea, but fun to play. At Christmas, my 8 and 12 year old played this card game, ignoring their tablets. It’s all about matching a shape on your card with the card in the middle. As I say, it sounds easy but sometimes you will swear there’s no match – only for another player to point it out and you wonder how you couldn’t see it at the time. Comes in a small tin for storage and travel. I have no hesitation in recommending Dobble.
Great game for all ages. Hit of the holiday.
We bought a few games for going on holiday and this was the big hit. Easy to play for all ages (our three year old was even really quick at it!) – pretty much an even playing field for all ages – good fun.
This version is also virtually indestructible which I’d recommend even if you’re not going to the pool or the beach. e.g. food wipes straight off it, survives getting chewed etc.
Quick to grasp and fun to play
Very easy to pick up. Plenty game play options to vary things. Even very young children can have loads of fun and beat older players. We had loads of laughter when we played this game. It was a great leveller between the generations.
The storage tin is a nice touch and since it is small it would make a great travel game.

I really enjoyed playing this game. It didn’t keep my 10 year old away from Fortnite very long but we had fun working through the different games. You get a booklet with different ways to play which means it doesn’t get too dull. It’s very clever because actually even though all symbols are on all cards because of the mix and sizing it’s really hard to find them under pressure. May get this out at Christmas time to play with the family.
Hilarious family game
A fantastic rapid card game.
Would be enjoyed by 4 to 104 yr olds
A jumble of 8 out of a possible 50 symbols on cards, each card has only one match to any other card in the deck, your task is to find your matching symbol before your opponents beat you to it.
Loud, frantic, hilarious, frustrating and GREAT FUN.
All my grandchildren and adults love this game, takes a couple of minutes for each round so little ones never get bored by having to wait their turn, everyone plays simultaneously.
I also do solo rounds against a timer to keep my reactions and brain active.
Would, and have recommended this game to many.
Buy this game, you won’t be disappointed.
Easy to learn, not so easy to wi
We already have the normal Dobble game and we all enjoy it from 4 years old to 69! My little granddaughter is really into her Disney Princesses, so we bought this for her, for Christmas. I am sure she will wipe the floor with us all! It’s a great game, easy to learn but not so easy to win! It drives my husband mad as he never wins. Small enough to take on holiday too. Highly recommend.
A must play!!
Our family love nothing more than a fun board/card game and this is our favourite- Such a simple yet effective concept and gets super competitive. We’ve only played the pick up and the put down versions (although not so much the pick up as the cards get damaged during on feisty game!!) I’ve also played this with a group of friends whilst away on a girlie holiday at Center Parcs and I think that other 5 ladies purchased it within a week of getting home which is testament to Dobbles appeal. If you buy this, I’m almost certain you will not be disappointed!!
Compact and fu
Really love this game and it’s good for all ages, lots of fun. It’s nice and compact so can be easily taken on holiday or to friends’ houses or whatever which is great. The tin is smart and lid stays on well. Still think the game is a little pricey for what it is though hence the four star rather than five.

Fast paced fun family card game
Love this game, fast paced, easy to play, kids of all ages can join in. Teaches gamesmanship, Kids can be as successful as adults as there’s no skill in matching, it’s just about visual acuity. Games are short and you can play it many different ways so never gets boring. There’s a booklet of games which you can make into a tournament, but not score cards or competition, it’s just about having fun!

Good for fast gameplay, bad for variety
Fun and fast games, with multiple variations in how to play, easy to store and doesn’t require long periods of explaining rules. My only issue was I was hoping one of the rule sets would change it up from simply identifying pairs of pictures, which makes the game feel overly simplistic and gets boring fast, but I like the overall idea.
we get bored of the repetitio
Usually after playing a card game a couple of times, we get bored of the repetition. Not so with dobble, anyway with a quick eye can win, I’ve played against a 6 year, 10 year and 40 year and each time the winner is someone else!!! The inventors have done an incredible job of making a truly unique gaming experience for ENTIRE family. All you need to do is match the pictures: no math genius, no vocabulary master, just plain quick thinking
Fantastic game! Great fun. Highly addictive. The whole family loves i
Haven’t played a ‘physical’, ie, non-computer game since Trivial Pursuit about 15 years ago but was introduced to Dobble over Easter by family friends. We ordered it on Amazon the same day. As it says on the tin, it’s ‘a game of speed, observation and reflexes’: each card has about 10 different symbols on BUT only one of those symbols matches the symbols on any other card: the first person to name the matching symbol gets to put their card down.
This is fiendish, intimidating and enormous fun. Highly addictive.
I dare you to dabble in dobble!
we play this in the coffee room at work during lunchtime and it attracts a lot of attention! (maybe get told off sometimes for being noisy but its hilarious good fun) the only thing i would say is i wish there were more cards so more people could join in. Lunchtimes have become so much more fun since i bought this! I would absolutely recommend this game. It’s also a fantastic drinking game!!
WE LOVE DOBBLE!!!! It has become our favourite for for taking with us out and about. We have played at the dentist, at the sports centre, at the car garage, at the motorway services……the list goes on and on. its so good for just filling in that 10 minute gap where the kids are beginning to get restless. Nice and small to easily pop in a bag, if I havent got it with me I often regret it. Love all the different ways to play it, means you can always mix it up, which stops it from getting boring. We’ve created a few random games of our own too. Every household should own Dobble!!!
What a brilliant and perfect game! This is a visual speed matching game. Things I love about this game:
1. We found the children aged 5 and 7 were equally as good as the adults for this game, so we didn’t need to let them win. They genuinely won against us several times.
2. The game is very fast to learn so anyone can join in instantly and be well matched against more experienced players.
3. There are five variations on how to play which to learn if you want some variation.
4. It’s compact and will easily fit in a bag to take out as a game for children at a restaurant.
5. I love playing it as an adult and might be fun as a quick easy pub game. We laughed a lot while playing too.
6. It’s fast (like a game of snap) and addictive. You’ll want to play more than once.
7. Every player can play at the same time, no waiting for your next turn. Keeps it engaging and fun. (Yes, you can always play every card, it’s just a case of being fast enough to spot the match)
8. If you lose a card, you can still play. The game does not rely on all cards supplied, in fact you could put two packs together too.

Great game! It’s simple enough to start playing without long complicated explanations of ‘rules’. Simply matching pictures – how hard can it be? It’s great for groups of all ages, including mixed ages, and the enclosed leaflet offers various suggestions of different versions of the game. The cards are cleverly designed to ‘trick’ the eye, causing tension to mount when you simply can’t find the matching picture. Great fun.
Fun game for all ages!
My daughters are three years different in age and it can sometimes be hard to find a game they can both enjoy… Dobble was just that, they have had hours of fun playing this game together (and with us parents). The concept of the game is easy to grasp and initially you’d think it is easy to win but the different sized images add an element of difficulty that everyone seems to be tackling.
It’s fun, easy yet challenging (if that makes any sense), can be quick if you want it to be, compact (so you can travel with it) and doesn’t make a mess. We love Dobble and are going to get the beach version for the summer.
This is the second pack I’ve bought… it’s a gift for my niece and nephew as we enjoyed it so much I thought they would too.
Absolutely love the game.
Quick and easy to play with any number of people and suits a good range of ages. It’s a nice neat little game which doesn’t take up too much room when storing it and does not need much room to play which is really nice compared to some board games.

At first sight this game doesn’t come across as that amazing. Once you play it a little though, you soon realise its addictive and frantic nature. My kids (8&6) love it and play it for hours. As with most games that are brilliant, its stupidly simple and you’ll be kicking yourself for not thinking of it yourself.
Hours of fun and the tin make it a great travel game too.
Love it, and will be back for some of the other variants
A great game, easy to play and the cards and tin are nicely designed. Perfect for all ages, very popular with the kids I babysit (8 and 11) and it proved to be just as good fun with my family and friends. I can see it being a really good game for children’s observation and coordination skills, but regardless of that, it’s just such good fun!

5 Year olds can win!
Fabulous game – I play this with my 5 year old daughter (you don’t need the kids set). It was a nightly occurrence over the summer holidays when away. The good thing is, you don;t have to ‘let’ them win either, as kids can be equal or better than parents! Would highly recommend as a quick and easy game / time waster on trips and hols and Christmas and weekends!

Yes the children will beat you!
These are great games.. we have the original Dobble with 55 cards and the Beach Dobble which has 30 cards, even though 55 is given in the details.
You can play quite a few different ways and my grandchildren have great imaginations as most children do, so they make up their own games with these too, i.e. making lists of things of the same colour, things beginning with the same letter, soft things, hard things!.. etc .. the sky’s the limit.
A portable, fast and fun card game for all ages.
An amazingly fast, frustrating and fun game.
Challenge friends or family to see who can match the picture on the card in their hand to the one in the centre of the table and play your way through this picture matching snap-like game until you are the first to get rid of all the cards in your hand.
Simple to play with a couple of variations on this snap-like game included in the small rules page inside the tin.
After trying the adult version with my 3 year old granddaughter, I decided to buy the kids version. We have had hours of fun with this simpler game, but she still enjoys the adult game when we visit auntie.
On balance I think I would just buy the adult version, it is a slower game and I have to pretend not to have seen the match so she wins (I’m not competitive, she is), but it develops her observation skills and we have fun.
On my advice after reading the reviews, Grandma bought this for our 5 year old twins for Christmas. They were intrigued when they opened it as they didn’t know what it was, but once we read the rules and started playing they were hooked. There are different games which can be played, so it is not a “one-trick pony” type of gift, and we found that the odds were quite evenly matched between kids, parents and grandparents when we played. Sometimes the little people would spot the match first, and sometimes they could not see it for looking! It’s a very clever concept and we really enjoy playing it. It is also a small sized game which is very portable. We will definitely be taking it on our family holiday this year!
Big hit!
This was bought as a present for one of our daughters for Christmas and has been a big hit with the whole family. The game is easy to play and there are a number of different variations to keep interest. Everyone was able to play it and even our four year old seemed to enjoy it. Well worth the price. Cards are in a tin for easy storage and I can see this game being taken away on holidays with us as it’s small and easy to transport. Definitely worth buying!

We received this for Christmas and have had hilarious adventures with adults and kids in cafs, pubs, trains and around many kitchen tables. It has never failed to make us laugh and each of the five games seems to be easier for different players so everyone gets chance to win. We love it and it’s now a staple in my bag at all times because it’s so portable and a refreshing change from a screen!
Great party game for all ages!
I played this game last Christmas and immediately purchased it the next day for myself!
The aspect of the game is that every card in the deck has at least one symbol/picture that matches to one another (believe it or not!). There are 5 mini games you can play such as: The Towering Inferno, The Well, The Hot Potato, Gotta Catch Them All and the Poisoned Gift. Each mini game has the same objective of matching cards but can be different in many ways depending on the amount of players and how fast you can match your card to theirs.
There are many times when you are playing that you are so sure that there are no matching symbols on your card! But there is always one symbol/picture that matches!
Give this game a try as it’s great for get together, parties, Christmas and many other occasions.
A simple but brilliantly entertaining game
I bought this for my adult son for Christmas, based on the great reviews. I had never heard of it before then. We,4 adults, absolutely loved playing this on Christmas day. There are instructions for 5 mini games that all differ slightly. Everyone plays at the same time. I was worried that my reactions and eyesight wouldn’t be quick enough to win anything but I did surprisingly well. It’s all quite addictive and just takes a short time to grasp the rules. You need a table where everyone can reach the cards in the middle. Don’t try playing it in the same room where somebody else is trying to sleep! I am astounded that a game can seem so simple yet hold one’s attention for so long.
Fabulous Game for All Ages
Bought a few of these as gifts for friends with kids after I’d picked up a set in the US and played at home with the missus. It is HUGE fun as identifying similar pictures is devilishly difficult given the similar pictures will be of different sizes and orientation, in addition to the mental challenge of remembering what on earth the item is called. A fabulous mental workout, we’re both addicted to it at home. All of my friends reported back that their kids (who range from 6 to 11) had hugely enjoyed the game and so (to their surprise) had they. Both entertaining and hugely addictive, this is the best value for money I’ve had in years.
Good game for all ages
A fun game with various playing styles (booklet describes them well). Comes in a nice storage tin which is great as cards always end up a bit ‘dog eared’ after time so the tin will keep them in good condition for much longer. The actual cards are of good quality too and are coated so can be wiped if you spill anything on them. We love that you can play for as long as you like (or just 10 mins if short on time). Kids, teens, adults and grandparents all enjoyed playing this.

Dobble – A fun entertaining card game for 2 to 8 players aged 6 and up.
There are 5 different games to play, but most are based on matching the symbols on the cards as quick as you can.
A good card game, but not as fun as my favourite card game – uno.
Fantastic family fu
Fantastic family fun! Great game for all ages. Fast pace memory snap. Can you match one of the symbols from your card before the other ayers. Sounds easy but each card the sizes of the pictures changes and only one of your pictures will match.
Comes in a great little tin so perfect for travel and camping and the instructions offer you numerous different ways to play, however, for us we have thoroughly love the snap/match version. This has been loved by adults and children of various ages, it is so addictive.
Can highly recommend.
This is such a brilliantly simple game, stored in its own little tin so you can take it anywhere. The thing we like about it as a family is that we can all play (ages ranging from 8 to 47) and age doesn’t seem to be an advantage, in fact quite the opposite! I think bright agile young minds find it easier sometimes to spot the matching symbols. The object of all the games with Dobble is to match a symbol on two cards; there will always be a matching symbol on each pair of cards, although sometimes the sizes will differ which seems to make it incredibly difficult to spot them, especially under pressure when you are trying to spot it before someone else! There is the added pressure of having to name the item you have identified as a match (for example the purple hand shaped thing on the tin with one eye is a ‘Dobble’) before you can swipe the card (or get rid of the card, depending on which game you are playing). The game is fast paced, and always results in lots of hilarity and frustration. It is the best card game for families that we have come across. Thoroughly recommended.
Best family game in our house for a mixed age group
Provided hours of entertainment for entire family aged from 12 – 48. Its unusual to find a game that genuinely entertains such a wide age group and would easily appeal to younger kids in the same way ( played with nieces aged 6 & 9 who also loved it) Because it is a visual recognition game, it allows an even playing field when playing with different age groups and takes minutes to understand. We have laughed so much playing Dobble, and comes in a small tin so perfect to take on holiday etc I recommend it 100%

We have laughed so much playing Dobble, and comes in a small tin so perfect to take on holiday etc I recommend it 100%
Such an amazing game! So addictive to play. Great game for all the family , very competitive. Really easy and lots of fun, if a bit frustrating when you can’t see a match! Children and adults can play together and there are a few different versions of the game. This looks like a children’s game, and I suppose it is. But play this with a load of adults and its even better! Very simple, match the pictures and put down a card. Get rid of all of yours to win. But you’ll quickly find it’s not as easy as it sounds and you’ll get more and more frustrated each round you play.
The premise is simple: find a matching image on another of the cards. They are the same colour and design but they may vary in size and their position on the card. Once you have found it you yell it out and place your card on the middle pile. Then everyone starts looking for a matching picture from their pile that matches a picture on the card in the middle. It is fast paced and funny and loads of fun. It is actually trickier than you think to match the pictures because sometimes you can’t see it at all. But every card has one matching picture with every other card. There are variations on the rules you can play with hot potato being a favourite. Dobble now goes everywhere. Holidays, sleepovers days out and its a small package so easy to fit anywhere. Excellent game for all ages.
This is a great game. It's fast and quick to play
This is a great game. It’s fast and quick to play. My husband and I find it really hard whilst the kids (11 and 7) are quick and good at it! You have to match images on a card – sounds simple but they images are different sizes and colours. Each card has 1 image match with another card. It’s hard to explain but I’d really recommend it. We’ve had a lot of fun with it and it’s perfect for taking out to entertain everyone whilst you’re waiting for a meal to arrive.
Simple, fun and easy game to play
This is a great game that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. It has 55 cards each with 8 colour picture symbols, only one of which is common with any other card. There are 5 mini-games that each involve being the first to match symbols. The kids love it and it’s amazing how quickly they become adept at seeing and matching and beating the adults. It can be quick and competitive. The games are not long 5-10 mins each and the game can be brought and played anywhere. Great for taking when travelling.
Geniusly simple and hopelessly addictive
Dobble is a great game for children and adults alike. I would say it can be a bit difficult to play together with children as the game relies on speed, but once the kids get the hang of it there’s no reason why they can’t be as fast. We played all the different varieties in the tin and got hopelessly addicted to it. We now take it with us most places as it’s so easy to carry around, and so easy to explain to others. There’s little skill involved other than a good eye and quick reflexes.
It was a brilliant stocking filler and a great little gift for pretty much anybody.

Great Game, But...
Really fun game to play and several different ways to play. Fun for adults and kids alike.
Love the round cards, well printed with excellent symbols and pictures and the tin is brilliant for holding them.
… So why aren’t they laminated, to stop them from creasing and tearing, or to offer protection from wear and from spills.
Come on, greedy manufacturer, a bit of quality would be a game-changer. I see there are other card games from the same company, but I’m not buying.
Such a shame!

I think this game is so fun and you can play it in more than one ...
I think this game is so fun and you can play it in more than one way which makes it really appealing. I wish the cards were a bit sturdier, but no damage has come to them so far. I like that it is quite relaxed in its nature. My family called it ‘basically snap then?’ , but it is more than that.
I can’t say that it appeals to everyone, my family bored of it, but my friends and I really enjoyed it. It’s a fast paced loud game, to be played by enthusiastic participants.

pretty cool for just two people but so much fun ...
This is such fab game, pretty cool for just two people but so much fun for a small group!
There are 5 ways to play but they’re all pretty similar. We tend to stick to the same way of playing though.
There are 55 very attractive cards which are packaged (along with instructions) in a strong and sturdy tin. The tin is colourful and small enough that it can be stored in a drawer or box without fear of damaging the cards or the tin opening.
The aim of the game is to match a single picture on your card to the ‘in play’ card. It’s not as easy as it sounds as the images are all different sizes and I can be quite tricky (especially under pressure, as other people are matching their cards). It’s a lot of fun and also encourages you to be more observant.
There are 55 cards and over 50 colourful symbols and images of the collective cards. One symbol on each card matches each individual card, it’s extremely clever.
The aim of the game is basically to match more symbols, depending on he way you play you will either aim to get rid of your cards before the other players or you will try to collect more cards by matching symbols than other players. There are other mini games but these, I feel are the main ones and the ones we play more frequently.
It’s a super fun game and while it does say that it is for ages 6+, my 4 year old always tries to play along and I believe it has helped him to think more quickly, to match images and to be more observant. There is however a children’s version (wich we also have), which just has animal pictures and as such is easier for little ones (but still fun for grownups).
While it is definitely better for older children, my son sometimes chooses to play this version with us instead and while we tend to give him more of a chance and keep quiet when we have a match, it usually ends up with him winning in the end because we can’t match our last few cards as quickly as him.
Over all I would recommend this game to absolutely everyone. It’s fun and funny and really gets your mind going. I think it would also be great for kids in the back of a car on a long journey as well as at home or at a party.
I recently bought another of these as a gift and would definitely buy again in the future.
Brilliant game!
Excellent game. Each card has symbols on it. Each card has one symbol that will be common to all the other cards, all you have to do is find the common symbol between two cards. Seems straightforward but as symbols vary is size/location on the cards, they aren’t always easy to find, especially when you are trying to be first to see it. Played it at Christmas and had great fun. Lots of very competitive adults getting very noisy! Simple concept – but with several different game options the ‘degree of difficulty’ ramps up. Plan to buy the children’s version too. Brilliant size , robust tin, fits into a bag so great to take for a holiday game. Can’t recommend this highly enough.
You need DOBBLe in your life
It’s no bigger than a shoe polish tin and has 5 incredibly fun and addictive games inside using the same cards.
We play it on tour. In the green room, at parties and even with friends and family at home.
Its dead easy to play and from adults to young children it entertains for hours.
I can’t reccommend it enough.
If you have a caraven or planning a UK holiday this year. YOU NEED DOBBLE jn your travel bag! In fact YOU NEED DOBBLE in your your life lol!

Great fun for all ages and easy to take everywhere
I love this game. We lost our original bought 2 years ago on a plane so I was delighted to be able to replace it. This can be played by all ages and in fact the kids may well run rings around you. We first bought it when our twins were 4 and they loved playing this and beating us and their grandma frequently.
Sometimes, you would swear that there is not a match and then finally you see it. Just shows that the brain is a complex thing.
This is so easy to take everywhere with you and superb for playing in a restaurant when kids are getting restless.
Super super game. My 7 year old loves this, it can easily be popped in her bag for a school outing or something as it’s light and small to carry around and she’s quickly the most popular girl as everyone wants to play and as many as you want can join in. My 4 year old can also play but it’s a little tricky for her. My 7
year old can beat her daddy which she loves! Great gift for others if you’re looking for something different as the tin makes a lovely gift.
Great game but cards should be laminated
I just bought this to encourage my 3 year old granddaughter to search the pictures. She understood what to do within minutes & the joy she gets when she spots the match is well worth it. We haven’t tried any games yet (
It might be too soon).
We also bought the kids version for her. Very colourful and popular animals
My only complaint is that the cards aren’t laminated and will tend to get bent by tiny hands
5 stars for game, 4 for cards

Great quick games for all the family
We love to play board games and bought this for a bit of fun. There are 5 different variations on the game.
The simple idea is that you match the symbol on one card to another. Simple enough concept but surprisingly frustrating at times when several people looking for the same thing at speed. Hugely enjoyable though.
We played with our 12 year old who to be honest was better at it than me. Would also appeal to younger children as easy to play.
Games tend to be fairly short (5-10 minutes) so a great game to fit in any time.
Comes in a small box so easy to carry around.
Good fun game that's easy to play and gets them ...
Have bought these as gifts for numerous children aged upwards and whenever we take it on holiday it is a hit with other kids. Good fun game that’s easy to play and gets them thinking. I do give my 6 year old extra time to find the matching one but we’ve devised a new version (if his mind is awake enough) that as soon as I spot the matching one (if he hasn’t already yet) then I start a count down from 3, 2, 1 and then if he hasn’t got it I win the pair. It’s a great game that never get’s boring.

Introduced to the game by friends and is now a firm favourite! People we have played it with have bought it and we have bought it as a gift which has been well received too.
A simple concept but addictive – and instructions for 5 variations inside which my sons love to play ALL of (never seem to play two games the same in a row!). My younger son is 7 and does get frustrated sometimes at being slower to find matches but it’s really good for him and he enjoys it. I see there is a kids version but I wouldn’t bother unless you’re wanting to play with children a few years younger than that.
The metal tin is a great touch and means we keep it in our daughter’s changing bag to bring out when waiting for food at restaurants! A great travel game for taking on holiday due to its size and tin.
Grandma Well and Truly Beate
I bought this as a little present for one of my grandsons………BE AWARE if you buy it for one of your grandsons or grand daughters you will be well and truly beaten. We had lots and lots of fun with it along with lots of giggles but, my goodness, I hadn’t realised how super smart children were getting. It is small enough for him to pack it in his suitcase as he is off on holiday very soon. I hope he finds it as easy to beat his Mum and Dad as well or I shall feel a numpty/.

very highly recommended - need a 6th star :S
This game is fantastic and can be played by family members of all ages.
We can play with both our daughters aged 3 and 6 – our 3 year old sometimes beats us all in finding the pair! 🙂
There are different variations in the rules so can be played a number of different ways.
We have added our own rules to the game, like having a delay before each age group can win.
So our 3yr old will have no time restriction, after 5 seconds our 6yr old can look and then another 5 seconds before we can look.
Best game i have bought in a long time – very highly recommended – need a 6th star :S
We’ve love board games and pen and paper games in our house and have been playing Dobble for over two years now.
We love it!
It’s dead easy to pick up in one minute flat – It’s a quick game and won’t bore you to death 3 hours later – it’s small and portable and perfect for travel and literally anybody can play it!
What is it?
It comes in a round tin which fits in your hand and contains 55 round cards. The cards are very good quality and have nice clear images on them. There’s an instruction booklet which has all you need to know about the five games. All dead easy! But great fun.
How do you play it?
There’s 5 different ways to play this – but they all work the same! The game has 50 pictures to choose from. On each card there are 8 pictures out of the 50 – these pictures feature on all the cards but are different sizes and may be upside down – on it’s side. You need to be the first to spot a picture on a card that matches a picture on your your card.
It sounds easy – and it is but. . .under pressure against your 6 years old with perfect eyesight and the reactions of a cobra – it’s harder than you might think! Quite funny too at times!
I’ve uploaded a few pics of two cards – see if you can spot the matching pics!
One of our favourite games – highly recommended.
Easy to play and great fu
This game is such good fun and can be played in family groups, just children or just adults. In fact the most fun we’ve had with it is when we’ve played it in adult groups – all gloves are off and everyone goes for it, I get quite competitive and involved! It’s just so simple to play so after one round of a game everyone knows what they are doing and gets stuck in.
There are 5 different ways to play but we always play with everyone starting with a set of cards and the winner is the first one to get rid of all their cards.
A great gift and a great game to have for any gathering of family or friends of all ages.
age 3-100 - great for cross age range and durable box is good for travelling
his picture matching game is great for playing across age ranges and is not boring for adults as it does require observation and concentration. my little ones frequently beat me as they spot items faster.
they love playing it. the durable tin is an excellent feature that all kids games should have (- I am always trying to sellotape broken games boxes) .
This game is lightweight and sensibly packaged so has been on a few road trips with us and come back in one piece.
highly recommended. so much better than regular snap or airs which can be so boring.
Is it possible for a game to be too much fun?
Things get rowdy in our house when this game is played, and we’ve not even played all of the variations.
It’s a game that is quite easy to say “just once more!” and keep going for ages. I’ve seen fairly young players play this quite well — sometimes better than adults — and all ages enjoy it, so it’s really a family game that I highly recommend. We have some games that I dread playing, but this one is great.
I’ve given it as a gift several times since we got it — it’s that much fun, we want to share the laughter & chaos.

Fantastic Family Fun!
We bought this game for our 8 yr old son and another child for Christmas and when the package arrived, I was initially slightly disappointed as it is a small tin in a box and did not look to have much substance at first glance.
Upon playing the first game however we are now all hooked. It is really quick to pick up, addictive and the cause of significant competition between certain members of the family!!
Basically, the aim of the game is to win as many matched cards as you can. Each player starts with a card each and the remainder are in a pile in the centre. All cards have 8 pictures on them but only 1 picture on every card will match 1 on any other card (very clever). Therefore, once the first card is turned over you have to quickly identified which of your images matches the central card before your competitor recognises their own. The quickest to shout out claims the card.
Each game only takes about 5-10 min and can get a bit frenzied, so a great filler and something that all ages can enjoy. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes board/card games.
A really fun and quick to learn game!
I got this for my 6 year old for Christmas and wasn’t quite sure whether he was old enough for it. The game is little overpackaged and the tin with cards is only about three inches across and one high and the tin comes in a box far oversized for the contents.
The game itself is simplicity itself and there are a number of mini games you can play around the theme of spotting the symbols that are the same. It is also one of those games where age is not always a benefit as my kids can be really eagle eyed. Some of the games can take seconds (hot potato) others five minutes and you can just stop when you want. Enough for a bit of excitement, some fun family time and small enough to put in your pocket for train journeys, waiting around etc… Really recommend giving this a go and you won’t be disappointed.
Simple concept for fun, fast paced gameplay
The concept is very simple. The tin contains a pack of cards, each with a different set of symbols. There are numerous games to play, but each is a different variation on the main theme. The games are fast paced, you have to learn a method to quickly spot two matching symbols between two cards. Some of the games allow strategy to come into play so that you can ‘target’ particular players. Who is winning? – Gang up and target them to cut their lead! Simple but innovative and great fun. Particularly good for including the kids on a level playing field with the adults.

Great Fun! The More To Play The Better!!
Every year I buy a family game to put under the tree at Christmas. This year was a bit tricky as my daughters are now 12 and 14 – not an easy age to entertain equally! Dobble was so much fun! We’ve played all the versions of the game and slammed the cards so much they’re already getting a little battered! Their cousins who are 10 and 11 loved it so much that they want to get their own pack. It’s a really simple concept but great fun. The more people you have playing the more exciting it is. At one point on Christmas day we had kids, parents and grandparents together all on their knees on the floor shouting out the symbols – some were unable to shout out because they were laughing so hard. We also played a slowed down version for my 6 year old niece. I can see this handy little tin of cards coming with us wherever we go in the future. I recommend it for everyone – it’d be a good dinner party ice breaker game too! Quote from my 14 year old just now: “oh are you doing a review for Dobble? Put in the review that it’s sooooo good and great fun for all ages!”. So there are you. Teenage stamp of approval.
