After watching a paper pile grow for quite some time I bought this shredder. I don’t need it to do anything particularly fancy or at supersonic speed etc so something simple for a decent price was what I was looking for.
This shredder does what it says it can do. Assembly is very straight forward and you’re up and running in no time.
The shredding happens at a decent speed and can shred multiple pages at a time including staples. It definitely does work a bit harder if you go too thick but I haven’t had it stop due to that yet.
This shredder does overheat after a few minutes of continuous shredding, probably 4-5 mins. But it doesn’t take long to get going again. If you’re planning on doing lots of continuous shredding this product probably isn’t for you.
The bin size is decent enough for general home use. Shredders are always a bit of a pain to empty so grab the vacuum for afterwards. There is a small window on the bin so you can see when you’re getting close to full.
Overall I’m happy with this purchase.

Bought this cross shredder as I needed to dispose of years of old paperwork turned during lockdown. It works well, I did try to put in too many sheets as I was getting bored, of course the inevitable happened took longer to clear the blockage then if I did the job properly.
Its very good wish I had bought one sooner, best to use it often.

Very impressed
Works exectly as intended. Have run it straight for ages with no overheating and haven’t had a single jam. For the money it’s fantastic. Only improvement would be to be able to lock the lid in to make it easy to pick up from the handle.

It’s a very decent inexpensive shredder that will deal with all the shredding the average person will need when clearing out a few rooms from their house. The noise level is good and I am still able to talk to family while shredding. I’ve filled up a couple of big rubbish sacks full of shredding and it’s still going nice and strong. Handles paperclips like a charm as well.

Bought this to shred hard copies of old photos after being digiok but sed. In use it works but as the media is 160gsm, the quoted 6 sheet throughput – more than 3 at a time usually ends up in a jam.
In use it is quite noisy and the crosscut action makes the whole thing shudder! However, it doesn’t appear to have a detrimental effect. The top has a handle (that folds out of the way when not in use) so that the bin can be easily taken away to empty when full.
The shreder eats credit cards with relish and because it’s a cross cutter, (P3 rated) this is a secure way of destroying sensitive documents and those pesky credit cards.
Despite being inexpensive compared to some of the major brands on offer, I found it perfectly adequate for my purposes.

Decided I’ll just go back to cutting old cards with a pair of scissors. Apart from that, seems a decent machine, and I am impressed with the size of shredded paper.

Saves time Shredding documents compared to burning them. Easy to assemble and use. It does not like to shred 8 sheets at a time and will overheat quickly but is quite happy to keep going at 2-3 sheets of A4 and it is a cross cut so does a really good job. Worth the money.

I have used to shredder to dispose of payslips, tax returns and copies of old bills. It is so easy to use that I have been looking for items to shred because it is so satisfactory.
All black and white shredding we have then put into our compost bin. Coloured shredding not sure so have disposed of in our recycled paper waste
The handle on the top is great an makes emptying the shredder really easy. So far really pleased with my purchase

After too many months and years soldiering on with an old shredder that clogged after every 10 sheets this one is a blessed relief. Have managed to clear a big backlog of shredding quickly, hassle free and relatively quietly. I haven’t experienced a jam yet so that may well alter my rosy view but so far I couldn’t be more pleased with it.
Used to get rid of personal stationery with private details, for data protection.
It’s brilliant, works a treat, if you treat it nicely will keep going for ages, by nicely l mean don’t shove too much through at once and not too quick, take your time and take a break now and then….

This is a very efficient shredder and found the price very reasonable although the bin was smaller than I though it would be it does the job magnificently and easily shreds the paper into small pieces providing good security
Bought to replace broken machine very quiet and smooth running compared to previous machine a little concerned that the waste bin is a little thin and light but overall very happy

Great Micro Shredde
Brilliant Micro Shredder for added security the only issue with thw credit card shredder is that it didn’t cut through the chip so had to put it through again. Guess I will have to find the proper insertion place to make sure the cutter goes through the chip …

Best shredder I’ve owned. Makes light work of shredding and doesn’t overheat after a few sheets. I do tend to only shred 2 or 3 sheets at a time. Very pleased and have been using shredder for about 6 months with no issues whatsoeve
My previous shredder with a sensible drawer had decided to give up on me too early I thought. This was on offer with fast delivery and cheap. I expected to have the usual problem with tipping out from the top & bits of paper everywhere, but this has a handle to lift the top off and a window to see where the chippings are in the bin. No excuse for it to get overfilled and it shreds finer than my last one.

Had this at the start of the year i think and its still going strong. Would recommend purchasing the oil for this as we all know machines need care and maintenance to perform to its best. Does develop a squeak over constant use but the oil fixes that right away.
I was pessimistic about buying a compact shredder, because of the bad reviews on just about every model I looked at.
I ordered this one without much hope, but it’s been a fantastic little machine.
The trick is to not shred more sheets simultaneously than the spec, and to work in smaller batches with breaks rather than keep it in constant use.
I’ve done a huge amount of shredding recently, and it hasn’t overheated once. Haven’t seen a warning light at all so far.

Bought as a replacement for a diamond cut shredder which stopped cutting diamonds.. Easier to use in some respects, but slower than I am used to. Good design, window to check on usage capacity left, controls simple and obvious. Very efficient at up to 4 sheets A4 80gsm, struggles at 5, but then I rarely do more than 2 or 3 sheets at a time. Great value for the money – results compare well with others I have seen at 5 or 10 times the price. As a personal shredder, or for a small office, it’s great.
This shredder is very good value for money, its robust, and quiet in operation, buy shredder oil and use as recommended for continued good use. I have bought several shredders over the years, this one is probably the best yet.
I brought this shredder as my old one broke. This one cut paper fine and I am happy. The noise does not bother me it shows it is working. Someone had tested my shredder as there was paper in the cutter wheel. I cut my A4 paper in two and put two halve thickness in. You need to slightly push the paper in.

I put this shredder through a tough task, had to shred 10 years of paperwork, it worked great, had to keep restarting it as it would shut down when it overheated but that is to be expected, would restart after about 10 minutes.
Would have no problem recommending this one but in my case I probable would need a bigger bin for my next 10years of shredding

Was very happy with the superb customer service, very polite and efficient.

Very useful product, good security of shredded information.
Good product, quite tough and can do multiple sheets in one go. Shreds with only small pieces of shredded paper so more compact in the bin and fewer trips to empty it. However, don’t continually use it for long period of time as it will get hot and trip out then you will have to wait until it cools to reset.

The shredder had a large backlog of paper to destroy but proved to be so easy to use it was completed in an afternoon, a very satisfied customer.

I emailed the manufacturer customer care department and they quickly diagnosed the problem and requested they replace the shredder with no need to return the faulty one. Needless to say I agreed and a couple of days later a new replacement machine arrived which worked just fine. There is always a chance that an item will be faulty on arrival, but the support from the manufacturer in resolving the problem was first class.

This was advertised as being suitable for shredding credit cards too, but the instructions that come with it say not to use it for that, which was disappointing. I had a lot of old business cards to shred, and it coped with those 2 at a time, and was a lot quieter than my old one…

Changing my review. My initial review wasn’t great, as the shredder appaired to fail after a first full bin. After contacting the manufacturer, they gave some good advice on how to get it going again. That said, the sensors were playing up so not a perfect 5 for me. Would give 3.5 if I could due to the early problem but otherwise, its ok.

Bought this shredder to replace ours that had finally given up the ghost! My husband likes it very much, it’s much quieter than our last one plus the window let’s you know when it near full!
Arrived very quickly and well packaged. We would certainly reccomend this product and would buy again.
I bought this shredder as I’m moving home and didn’t want to take years worth of Bill’s and other sensitive documents with me. The shredder was delivered on time by a very friendly driver. The instruction manual is pretty straight forward, easy to set up and begin use. The machine isn’t overly noisy whilst being operated and I manage to shred quiet abit of paper before it became full ( mind you I stopped half way, turn it off and compressed the shedding in the basket). Overall I’m very happy with the product so far and would definitely recommend it.

Better than the shredder which went badly wrong in the first month
The noise a shredder makes isn’t something I have taken notice of before however, after using this Bonsaii cross-cut shredder I realised just how noisy other shredders are. The operation is really simple and there is a large clear window at the front of the collection bin.
The sensor for pulling the paper through is sensitive (which is good) meaning it will easily detect a single receipt and shred it. Everything that has passed through its teeth so far has been completely obliterated and turned into minuscule pieces of paper making it very secure.
Can’t comment on reliability yet, other than I have put it through its paces by filling the bin in a couple of hours (a lot of shredding) and it did not overheat or grumble once.
Lightweight and compac
I found this shredder excellent quality, nice compact shape and has a great handle for lifting off the top. Very quiet in operation, maybe slightly slower to shred but not a significant issue – we’re all in too much of a hurry anyway these days!! Would definitely recommend.
Bought to replace an old cross-cut shredder that finally expired. This model is much quieter in operation and is easy to use. It takes less sheets at a time, but that is a really minor point. Very pleased with this purchase and would recommend to anyone needing a shredder for light to medium use.

I still prefer this model to the ones where you pull the basked to a side.
– How can you possibly know what is the weight of paper you want to shred? (75g/m2 or 80 or 90 or 100 or other?) Just to be safe, when I suspect a paper is thicker than usual, I only put 3-4 sheets max in one go. It would be great if it somehow figures out or warns or just won’t accept papers where the limit would be over 8 sheets of A4 size 75g/m2. I wish there was a product where I can safely put in 8 sheets of A4 paper and it would take them if they are in the limit and it won’t take them and tell me that it’s too much for it to chew.

I just took delivery of this shredder today (18/10/2018). Its a great size shredder to replace my cheap (10) that I got from a highstreet retailer. It’s not too big or too small. I’ve tried it on various things already like paper, paper with staples in. padded envelopes, takeaway menus and items that have been laminated. It even managed to shred the cardboard box that it was delivered to me in without overheating or getting stuck. The handle on the top is great an makes emptying the shredder really easy. I was actually considering getting one of the more expensive ones at over 100 but I’m delighted I spotted this at less that 44. Definitely the best office related item I’ve bought and would recommend without hesitation.
Purchased this as the original one I ordered was out of stock. Lovey home shredder. Quiet and it takes longer to fill up so less time scattering bits of paper over the floor. Overall am very happy with my purchase.

Very pleased with this shredder. Lovely design, good 21L box and quiet too. Love the fact that after shredding the particles are so small they can safely be added to my composter or waste bin (obviously not fit for compost if CD/DVD’s and credit cards shredded) I consider this to be good value for money and is just as good as the well known brands (in my opinion)

An excellent paper shredde
An excellent paper shredder , quick and easy, and as it is a micro shredder the shreddings are of course very fine which means it takes longer to fill the bin.. Also as I recycle all my shredding into the compost bin, I am confident they will break down much quicker than the old type shredders.

I would recommend this shredde
I would recommend this shredder, had quite a lot of documents that had accumulated over the years & found this to do the job very well. Did have to wait a while when using for some time for the thermal cut out to switch off before restarting. Delivery was prompt and well packaged no complaints at all, very good service.

Have been using this shredder for about two weeks now. I have purchased it to shred paper / cardboard for my hot composter , havin* read all the reviews on different makes , most of them had pretty negative reports on blocking, over heating, not up to scratch even though they weren’t cheap. This shredder was the only one with out any bad reviews, the only slight one , was , the lid was abit heavy . I have tried it with various widths of paper , and it has surpassed all my expectation . It is a cracking bit of kit and have used it for over half an hour without any disruption on overheating. I definitely recommend it strongly.

Bonsali document shredder.
Real top quality machine. This is about my third shredder and definately the best for value. Good quality,
I never shred more than four sheets at a time and no problems. Machine oil about once a week or so and
all ok. Fair price, arrived as scheduled and well packed. I recommend this seller.

Regularly oiling the cutting edges does seem to help prevent jams so I’m very happy with the product. It only takes a small amount of lubricant (after 30 mins of shredding or a couple of times a month) so I think the bottle will last a long time.

Fantastic replacement to ensure better security- destroying paper, credit cards and CDs. Chomped its way through the back- log of papers since my old shredder retired, at one go- no overheating and I feel much happier with these micro fragments of paper going out for recycling. Would recommend happily.

Absolutely brilliant. It’s very efficient, not at all very loud and it goes like a workhorse. If you overdo it it does cut out for protection and then you have to leave it for up to 15 minutes to cool down. You soon get into a good rhythm to avoid that though.
The shredded pieces are very tiny which makes you feel more “secure” and it shreds plastic cards and CD/DVD’s very well. It also looks quite smart for your home office or tucked away in a corner in your sitting room. Simple to get up and running and non-confusing settings.

I ordered the Bonsaii DocShred C156-C 8-Sheet Micro-Cut Paper/CD/Credit Card Shredder just after Christmas and selected standard delivery. The delivery was completed within 2 days by the supplier which was excellent service.
The shredder has been used everyday so far, sometimes for a few documents or sometimes for a large quantity of documents that required to be shredded. The shredder hasn’t jammed or heated up. The handle at the top of the shredder is a great add-on which is not found on most shredders. It helps hold and detach the shredder head from the basket with one hand to allow the other hand to empty the shredded waste from the basket.
The document also gets shredded into tiny pieces which is ideal when shredding personal sensitive documents. The size of the basket and shredder head is not bulky and can be stored away in small spaces.
I definitely recommend the supplier and the Bonsaii DocShred C156-C 8-Sheet Micro-Cut Paper/CD/Credit Card Shredder.

We looked at reviews of other shredders and the ones for this seemed very positive so although we were skeptical about buying a brand we hadn’t heard of before we decided to go for it but needn’t have worried as this is brilliant. It does the job perfectly. I just shredded a plastic card and it cut it up just as small as regular paper. It has a good size bin too which means you don’t have to empty it too often.
As this product performs much better than expected I have no hesitation in giving it 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality, affordable cross-cut shredder.
