A quiet, sturdy shredde
I had to contact bonsaii because my original order of the shredder, broke after first use.
I refer now to a replacement shredder, which Bonsaii kindly sent me, after I got in touch with them. I cannot fault their speedy and efficient no quibble service. Unlike my first one, this shredder is quiet, a clean cutter, that does clog up with paper on the underside, and is perfect for my needs, thank you Bonsaii

Quiet little machine
Had a fellows one for 5 yrs and it bit the dust so looked for days weighing up reviews could believe how much they had gone up or how much choice there was now . So in the end I picked this one based on what I needed light home use it crunches bank cards and statements which is all I need it for its smooth easy to use and much quieter than my old one only time will tell on longevity but so far so good

We had this shredder for nine months when it suddenly stopped working. We had been very pleased with it until then. We contacted customer service and they sent a replacement very quickly.

Quiet Machine
After reading the reviews for this machine especially the fact that it was quieter than most I decided to purchase it as I live in an open plan bungalow without a home office. I keep the shredder in a cupboard and only get it out when I have a sufficient amount to shred.
It then sits on the kitchen Island whilst in use. Hubby now doesn’t have to turn the tv up to deafening sound level whilst in use.
Shreds up small too. I then decant into large paper carrier and put in my recycling bin Job done.
Not sure how long it’s life will be. Shredder’s don’t usually last me more than a couple of years but as this one was more than I usually pay, hopefully it will last longer!
I was very pleased with my shredder then one day it jammed. I think I either had staples or too many pages? I contacted the customer care service and they responded immediately with some actions I should employ to clear the jam. I didn’t manage to clear it all so they sent me a video of how to. When it still failed to clear I had a replacement shedder within 48 hours. Response was outstanding with polite and pleasant exchanges throughout. Replacement now working hard with catch-up shredding.

Great for a short time
Done quite a bit of shredding on day 1 when I got it. After a while it started making a noise. It needs oil. When it gets jammed it takes a while to clear it so not accessible. Can take about 3/4 sheets of paper at one time.

Pretty good shredde
Works well and managed to do quite a lot of shredding before it started to overheat. However cooled off reasonably quickly and was good to go again. It did struggle a bit with lots of sheets but I think that’s normal for most shredders. I would buy again.
Replacement shredde
Old shredder stopped cutting so a replacement was needed. This fits the bill, excellent size waste bin and the shredder is much quieter than the one it replaced.

Compact shredder which really does the job. Easy to use, great that it deals with staples etc so you don’t have the hassle of removing them before shredding. Very good value for money.

Not really a cross shredde
It’s a sturdy enough shredder but can be found much cheaper elsewhere and I wouldn’t really call it a cross shredder as the paper comes out more like strips. It still works well and hasn’t really struggled shredding anything I’ve put in it so far.

So much better than our old shredder, expensive but it does the business. Copes well with multiple sheets and makes quick work of large amounts of shredding. Can’t comment on the run time before cut out as I haven’t needed to run it for any great length of time. Well built and good quality construction.

Easy to use
Bought this to replace an old shredder which had given up the ghost. This one is very quiet, easy to use and importantly (to me) easy to empty. It has a window on the front so you can see how full it is. There is a handle to lift off the shredding mechanism which is useful. I do not do a lot of shredding so this is ideal and has met my expectations.

The head is quite heavy and must be lifted off the bin for emptying. It doesn’t have handle just finger tip lips, So for some people with weak, or arthritic fingers, it could pose a problem.
One with a slide out bin is easier but is consequently, taller. Alternatively, go for one with a handle.

Only had this shredder a couple of days, but so far so good. It is a lot quieter than the one we had. Hopefully it lives up to first impress.
This is an excellent paper shredder for everyday home use. It is not cheap and cheerful but well built.
It has a heavy solid feel to it.
Just bit of advice – with any shredder you buy, when you feed the sheets thru it there is always a chance it does not go in well. So even though this one shreds 12 sheets, I only do 6 at a time so that when it crunches up then it will still shred without any problems

Quiet and efficient shredder.
This has replaced a Fellowes shredder which had been next to useless since day one. I had persevered with it and even purchased special oil as advised by the retailer, but it still struggled with one sheet of paper let alone the six it was supposedly capable of. Having decided to never buy from the manufacturer again I took a chance on the Bonsaii. On opening the packaging the shredder was smaller and lighter than the failed Fellowes but from first use it has been excellent. It is dramatically quieter and faster and can cope with two or three sheets without issue. I know it will handle more but I think it works best without overloading it. It is perfect for normal household use or small home office. The bin is smaller than the Fellowes but at least it works properly! There is a useful handle on the top to remove the cutting head from the bin, but it would have been useful to be able to lock the head in place to move the shredder around by the same handle. So far this appears to be a good purchase, only time will tell on the long term reliability.

This product is good looking and easy to use. We were surprised at how quiet it is compared to our previous device. Early days, but so far it is working well.

Very impressed with this shredder. Produced about 200 litres of paper in a single session this evening, about 2 days ago another 150. It definitely has stamina.
We bought this to replace a similarly sized Rexel that finally gave up after many years of carnage tearing up our envelopes. I was suspicious of this one as it’s a bit more computerised than our last one (e.g. overheat sensor) but it’s been fine. It took 2 hours for it to overheat.
We are winding up the family business so have 20 years of paper to shred and probably 100 bin bags worth. The benefit of this over the Rexel is that the top comes off and by sticking a switch in the right place you can place it over a larger bin.
I’ve ordered another Bonsaii one (15 sheet monster) so we can swap them out when they overheat. A+++

However, with the cutting machinery sitting on top of the lightweight bin, the high centre of gravity makes it quite top heavy, and it’s therefore quite easy to knock over accidentally.
Overall, however, pleased with the purchase, and would recommend.

The shredder is generally ok, I was slightly disappointed as I have used Bonsaii shredders at work, and they have been much better. This can get clogged up, it seems to shred, but then pull the shredded pieces back up, which then blocks the feed. It’s fine if you only need it for light shredding.
Only 1-2 sheets at a time
Works well until it gets a blockage. I have had to take it apart a couple of times to remove paper that has blocked up the cogs. We put only 1-2 sheets in at a time, no more

I am delighted with this shredder. I had a large pile of old documents that i wanted to shred and my old shedder would only do 2 or 3 sheets at a time. This one is much better, handling 12 sheets at a time and running for 5 minutes continuously before it has to cool down.
I have had no paper jams. The shedder stops when the basket is full, but it is easy to see when that is coming through the large clear window at the front. It is very easy to empty, and doesnt make too much of a mess. The shredded paper is criss cut into small pieces – very important for information security

Used for quite a bit of paper after an office clearout, a major improvement on our 5+ years shredder. Unfortunately it did fail after 2 months of ownership but the Justar Office sellers did a very good job dealing with the problem and providing a new replaceme
Was really impressed with this shredder, particularly that you can feed stuff with staples into it and it deals with those too. Quieter than my old, much less powerful shredder too. The window in the side of the container is also a good idea so you can see how full it is.

Bought this to extend the life of my new shredder, which only came last week, so early days. Reading the instructions for the shredder it says not to use mineral oil – as used for most things. This is formulated as shredder oil, though I am not entirely sure that corn or olive oil would be just as good and a lot cheaper! However lets not take the risk, following the instructions provided, this bottle of oil will last for years, so in the long term is not particularly expensive.

I never knew things like this existed. Unfortunately I had just bought another shredder along with these sheets. I had run the new shredder several times and could not return it.
I made the mistake of running one of these sheets through the old, non working shredder. It took a bit of coaxing but after the run through it worked as well as it ever did.
These are excellent. Now I have two shredders !!
