Great for the price. I bought two to save changing from blower to vacuum.

Nice electrical blower. Blows pretty strong. The battery is great and lasts for a good while. It’s an expensive battery, but once you have one you can buy other tools from the same range much cheaper without battery and use a single battery between them.

Very impressive, low setting will pick up most leaves, and very sturdy, a little heavy but strap helps.

The main positive is that it is very powerful with adjustable suction power. It is heavy but the strap helps. A bit complicated to assemble. To go from suction to blower requires quite a bit of changing of parts.
A very large bag. It is surprisingly tricky getting all the leaves out of the bag. There are a few places where they get trapped.
For the ability to pick up almost everything, I would recommend it.

Bought this as sick and tired of petrol 2 strokes lasting a couple of years before carb problems.
I had an early Flymo one which did the trick for years but sold it when I bought my first 2 stroke. Big mistake.
This Bosch seems to work well and the mulching metal blade is reassuring. Only moan is that the cable is a bit too short, rigid and not forgiving. That of course could be rectified by changing. Maybe when needed.

Good product but bigger than expected so if you are short like the wife you will find it uncomfortable to use

Lighter and smaller than the petrol one I use this for the smaller jobs around the garden. Much better than the 18v which is tiny

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe bought this upgraded more power model just to make sure that it was easier to pick up wet leaves as some people have said that the lower model doesn’t do it very well. This is really powerful and has blown everything off of our patio that includes all of the bits of leaf and berries that have fallen off of the shrubs.
We are really pleased with it and wish we had bought it sooner – well actually later because it was in the prime day sale but still glad we got it.
    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor a small battery operated machine I didnt expect much in terms of sheer power. However this has met and surpassed all my expectations so lets put down what it can do and cannot do.
Its good at clearing paths and moving freshly cut grass after cutting the lawn or clearing up after hedger cutting and its good at herding fallen leaves wet or dry and small tree debris after storms etc.. Its not good at moving leaf litter which has fallen and consolodated into the ground. It will move it but its not powerfull enough to move large quantities of it. If you want to do stuff like that buy a petrol leaf blower as you will be disappointed by any electric version. More power makes the battery bigger and heavier or your dragging a cable.

Very satisfied. After reading many reviews and comparing many products, have to say very satisfied and this product exceeded expectations. Apart from weight and manoeuvrability, main concerns were power and battery life. Admittedly, our garden is on the small side, but this product does the job just fine and works up to 3 time’s before needing a recharge.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersWe have quite a collection of Bosch products that all use the same 18v or 36 v batteries and each one has proved to be a top-class product. Yes, we are Bosch fans!

This 36v leaf blower is, however, a bit of a compromise and, although we really do like it, if you are thinking of buying one, I think you need to know what you are getting. Compared with the class-leading power delivered by the Worx WG584E 40v leaf blower, for example, this one is noticeably less powerful; in fact, the Worx blower is like a hurricane in comparison. But does that matter? Well, in some ways, not at all; bit in some ways, well, it depends on you!

It certainly doesn’t matter in the sense that the Bosch does do exactly what it is designed to do: it clears dry leaves, and does so very effectively. But it will matter if you want a hurricane-force blower, as, if you are expecting that, you’ll feel a bit let down. But keep in mind the compromise and the laws of science: the Worx battery on full power lasts a measly 10 minutes, whereas the Bosch lasts well over half an hour.

Also, the Bosch is very attractively styled, is very compact, and is balanced so well that its weight isn’t really noticeable in the hand. Its smaller nozzle however, means that the power is directed over a smaller area compared with the wide open nozzle of the Worx model. This means it takes a bit more effort and time to do the job. The smaller shape, however, also makes the Bosch useful in more places. We use ours to blow the dust from the car before hoovering, or even to dust behind radiators and around our TV and piano.

So, it’s a compromise, but in the end, I think the Bosch will win the day for most uses and most people. We like it a lot.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThe product is fine. But Amazon seem to have sent a refurbished item rather than new one but with the volume of leaves I had to deal with I decided to try it. Works fine but I still feel a bit cheated. It did not help that Amazon had written to me moaning at the number of returns I had made. It seems that Amazon does not understand that defects in a product only become manifest when you use them. So Amazon learn from returned item do not rebuke those who are well within their lawful rights to return unsatisfactory and inadequate products

It is very easy to handle and does a very good job of clearing leaves etc. from drive, slabs etc. The battery on full power lasts about 20 minutes. We considered getting another battery to have ready to use, but decided that for the difference in price we could have another blower, so that we can both work on the tasks at the same time! We are both in our 70’s, so heavy machinery and tools are not for us – this is ideal. We do have a large garden, so need all the help we can get..

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI regret not buying a leaf blower before this autumn, as trying to clear up the fallen leaves with a rake has been hard work, especially when they have landed on gravel. With trees and shrubs that shed their leaves over a period of several weeks, it’s not a job you can leave until the last one has dropped. The ones at the bottom will get wet and go mouldy and a rotten job becomes a lot worse.

One of the benefits of waiting so long has been the improvement in battery technology. I didn’t want a corded leaf blower and having a heavy battery that takes forever to charge and lasts five minutes doesn’t sound like fun. This Bosch blower comes with a 36 Volt 2.0 Amp Lithium-Ion battery along with a charger and replacement/additional batteries seem easy to come by, although not cheap. You can buy batteries with a higher Amperage, but these will be bigger and heavier. The batteries have a simple indicator which shows the remaining charge and they slot easily into the charger. Once the battery is fully charged, you’re ready to go.

Using the leaf blower couldn’t be simpler. Assembly is just a matter of attaching the nozzle and sliding the battery into place. Once that’s done it’s a single wheel to switch the blower on and increase/decrease the speed. The longer you have it on a higher setting, the sooner your battery will run down though.

In use, this Bosch leaf blower is light and manoeuvrable. The position of the wheel to increase/decrease speed is well placed under the thumb, so you feel like you have a lot of control over the power when you need it. The trickiest bit is trying to chase the leaves to get them where you want them to be, this can be made even trickier if the wind is blowing against you. It’s hard to say how long the battery lasts from fully charged, but I’d roughly expect to be able to use it for a couple of 20-25 minute sessions before having to recharge it again.

As a said at the start of this review, I regret not buying a leaf blower sooner – but I’m delighted with this one and for general home use would happily recommend it due to its lightness, ease of use and good battery life.

Very good blower function. Doesn’t work too well on wet leaves it clogs the machine. Quite bulky and clearly made for a tall person which makes the vacuum more difficult to direct than the shorter blower. Easy to assemble

  39. Anonymous says:

This is the second I have had and the previous did good service for many years. There are a number of improvements in the design, but the one change that is worse is the blower. My old machine would blow the leaves all over the garden, and even when stuck down on the pavement. This one doesn’t move a single leaf – I doubt if it would blow out a candle. It is fortunate that the vast majority of its use is in sucking up leaves, for which it is excellent.

A sturdy and easy to use tool that can be used as a leaf blower, but more usefully as a vacuum and shredder allowing leaves to be collected and shredded for mulching. The shredder does get blocked by wet leaves and twigs sometimes, so easiest to use in drier conditions. Altogether a very useful and cost effective garden tool – would recommend.

Leaf collectors are normally astonishingly noisy and a nuisance to neighbours. This one is the quietest I have come across and performs perfectly adequately on its lowest (and quietist) setting. Thoroughly recommended: I look forward to a cordless version in due course.

This is a good value leaf blower/vacuum with plenty of power for the average size garden. It takes a bit of time to change over between the two modes of blowing/vacuuming, and the knob you need to tighten is quite stiff. Also the power knob on model is quite stiff. But all in all an effective tool. I was also glad I bought the wired version rather than a battery pack model – it means you dont have to worry about running out of battery and the wire is quite manageable.

This replaced an aged Flymo. Seems to be robustly made. Assembly took around 15 minutes, as I though one piece shown on the instructions was missing. However, the piece that blanks off the vacuuming airflow was already attached to the main body. Works well, both in leaf blowing and vacuuming modes. The vacuuming mode shreds the leaves efficiently, so they can then be composted. Unlike my old Flymo, to switch modes on the Braun requires some dismantling and reassembling – a minor pain but that only takes a couple of minutes.

This is very very good – really good strength on the blower and the vacuum is excellent. You get what you pay for with Bosch – great engineering.

The only slight faff is the switching of the kit between blower and vacuum is a bit of a faff – takes a few minutes.

On the whole – it does the job and is very good. Way better than the WORX i had before.

OK, first impression “That’s a small box” but when you open it you find that Bosch have packed the item very cleverly, doing away with superfluous packaging. They even resisted the urge that most manufacturers have of wrapping everything in plastic. Assembly was a little tricky, getting the suction tube to join, but now it is joined it will not come apart easily – ideal! Not a heavy item and nicely balanced to use. Easy to adjust handle and strap. And has that ‘well made’ feel you get with a Bosch. We’ve just had a fair few showers and the leaves are very wet, sticking to the patio. But this thing got them up easily. This has replaced a Flymo Garden Vac which, to be frank, couldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding. The Bosch, must have been weened on McD’s milk shakes!

This is the best leaf hoover I’ve had as unlike previous models it works even with wet leaves without getting quickly blocked and is very easy to clean if it does. The downside is it takes time to switch between hoover and blower.

Really great product. Variable speed is handy and it keeps the noise down too. The fan that pulverises the leaves is metal. The leaf bag design is clever and easy to fit/empty. I’ve had several of these over the years and this one is miles better than all of them.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSaw this recommended to dry those hard to place bits of the car once washed and dried – gets rid of lingering drips in the wing mirrors etc.

Might also use it as a leaf blower, but maybe not.

It is a little heavy, but once you have got used to it, it is fine and I think powerful enough.

We have the lithium lawnmower too which uses the 36v batteries and so didn’t need to buy the battery this time.

Needless to say boughtmon Amazon on one day and went down the next. But that is normal!

Recommended for what I need – battery use time is fine for me, but I don’t need more than 15 minutes so no idea how long it would last.

  57. MarylynCasas says:

Love this – glad I read the reviews and it makes a total mockery of the flymo vac it replaces. I love the variable speed – our borders are slate, but not once have we picked up slate – it’s removed all the leaves and debris without issue. Also, I really like how quiet it is compared to my old one. I would recommend this in a heartbeat to anyone else. I plan to also try this on my artificial grass at the front of the house to remove debris from the borders – I don’t see any reason why it wont do a fantastic job here either.

  58. DarrellMullins says:

This appears to be a well built unit. Blower is plenty strong and is adjustable using a continuous rotary knob.
Is a bit fiddly to switch from blower to suction, takes a few minutes. Suction is quite useful on its top setting, and the bag holds a LOT of leaves, as it chops them down into tiny pieces before putting them in the bag.

Supplied cable will be too short for most gardens, but that’s usual enough and anyone using electrical devices around the outside of their house will likely have an extension lead anyhow.

Powerful machine with variable speed. Have used it successfully on both wet and dry leaves. Item arrived in good time and not the hardest to build up but not the easiest. Make sure you consult the booklet. Work’s really well and the variable speed is handy, found that low to mid range works well on dry leaves, not used on wet but assume that speed increase will more than cope.

Suggest lead should be longer and agree with other reviews the start stop switch/knob a tad awkward. But otherwise everything ready to go. Tried it on my drive and collected the silver birch leaves and seeds without any problem. Then in main garden, no problem in picking up leaves, did not gobble the pebbles, so strength is rights. Bag is about the right size not to get too heavy when laden. I am impressed with the macerating of the leaves, will make good leaf compost. So initially , impressed with my purchase. Let us se what challenges it overcomes during autumn. But I am confide

Charges fast, holds charge a decent length of time. Power drops off fast once the battery is on the way out though and it doesn’t shift leaves from long/wet grass but considering it’s a small battery powered unit, it performs very well. Would buy again.

Just purchased this. Impressed with build quality. As an older lady I found assembling the tube which comes in three pieces something of a struggle as it’s a very tight fit but once done the rest was simple.

I’m 5’2″ tall and with the shoulder strap at it’s shortest point it’s comfortable and I can manoeuvre the machine but anyone shorter might struggle.

The vacuum is powerful on the highest setting and is adjustable as required and the machine is much quieter than my previous vacuum/blower.

First time I’ve brought anything like this. It really is a great asset for any garden. You do have a three minute job to change the function over from sucking over to blowing but, it’s quite simple to do once you have done it the first time. The lead is quite ample but, if you have a long garden you will need an extension cable.

Very good design, easy to assemble and not heavy at all. Bosch should produce in Europe and that would make this product perfect.

Bought this to replace the model before this one as the bag split in a few places.
This one is far better as got two speeds and the bag is far more superior.
It is half as noisy as the previous one .
Switching from sucking to blowing is relatively easy and takes about five mins.
Not the lightest of tools and never used it on grass as its all solid ground at my home.
    Solidly made .

Very good, but not the strongest blower. I purchased this because I had recently brought the Bosch cordless mower which had 2 batteries with it. This didn’t come with a battery, but the mower battery fits it. It clears dried leaves very well but if they are wet it takes longer. The battery last roughly 20 – 30 mins depending on how high you have the setting.

I bought 2 of these, one for my daughter and one for me. I have not used mine yet but I have assembled it and it was easy. My daughter has used hers and is chuffed to bits. I look forward to using mine!!

The only problem was that I needed to learn how to manage the excellent, though adjustable, air blast. We have leaves from four oak trees to clear up, and this blower more than halved the workload.

It is a shame you cannot direct into a small pile. Leaves are fanned ou

I originally bought a lesser known leaf blower, mainly due to its price and reviews, but it was faulty and not up to the job.
So I bought this one instead… such a difference.
    So much better quality product.
It does the job superbly and as usual you get what you pay for.

This model is quieter and easier to handle than the decades old version it replaced. Works very well on dry leaves but clogs quickly if the leaves are wet.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersReally poweful, both blowing and suction, the built in masserator is excellent meaning fewer bag empties.
Variable speed is excellent, meaning i pick up leaves from gravel without picking up the gravel.

Had a better blow with my mains versio

Works on wet and dry leaves. Wished I had bought one years ago. Glad I bought the larger battery as it lasted plenty of time to clear leaves all round the garde

Firstly it will never be as good a corded equivalent but what it makes up for less power (still a good blow!) it makes up in clever design and very directional. Its a good product and surprisingly effective

This cordless range by bosch really is superb. I love the fact you can use multiple garden tools with just the one battery thereby saving money. So far I have the lawnmower and leaf blower and I can’t fault either. The leaf blower is very lightweight so am convinced anyone could use one, but at the same time plenty powerful enough for the job. Will certainly be buying more of this range next year.

This was a bit more expensive than I wanted to buy, but now I am happy I spent the extra. It is a very capable leaf blower, and delivers a very strong blast. The vacuum capability is really good, and the fact it shreds whilst it collects is even better. I managed to get a huge amount of leaves into the bag

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought a wired Q Garden QGBV2500 leaf blower a few years ago & while it was a big improvement from using a yard brush, it was still heavy, cumbersome & very noisy. Running out extension cord, moving cord around cars, walls, bushes, trees etc was annoying & time consuming.

Then I bought this gem. This is the best labour saying purchase I have ever bought.
It is light, much less noisy & no wires so very manoeuvreable. I have half the yard done in the time it would take to get the old blower ready.

    Battery duration is an issue.
I have been using it on full(ish) power clearing wet leaves for the last week or two.

Reviews that say you get 30 – 45 mins are nonsense.
You get 15 – 20 mins max so I bought a second battery.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI bought the bare model and I use the 36V 4Ah battery from my Bosch Rotak 36LI lawnmower. Please note that if you order this model with the battery, it appears that you get the 2Ah battery, which has half the run time.

I don’t know what run time I’m actually achieving because the battery hasn’t yet ran out on me but I was using this blower to clear very wet leaves and it does a great job. It’s much more powerful than I thought it would be and lack of cord makes it very easy to use. Buying the bare model also saved me some money since I didn’t need to also buy the battery.

I was expecting to always have to leave it on full power for it to be able to work well but that’s not the case at all. It’s still powerful even on the lower power settings. Very pleased with the purchase!

Lightweight and easy to use but, if put in Turbo mode, produces a strong enough blast to cope with most leaf conditions. Battery is interchangeable with other Bosch garden tools, such as strimmer, lawnmower etc., which is useful.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAnother quality garden tool from Bosch. Should have bought a leaf blower years ago but never got around to it. This will help tremendously to get the leaves off all of our pebbles, of which we have considerable amount. Slightly heavier than expected but that is due to the larger battery. I use one of their hedge trimmers too which is lighter given smaller battery.

Perfectly good leaf blower, more underpowered than our previous corded one, shifts dry leaves just fine but not wet ones.

Can’t say I would have purchased this if I did not have the battery and charger from the Bosch lawnmower, but as I have it’s a no brainier, I have the 36v 4 ah battery and it lasts a good time and is as powerful as a electric cable one I once had

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersEasy. Uses the same battery as my lawnmower, so I was able to buy the version without a battery. I bought an Amazon ‘used’ one and it’s absolutely fine, so a very cheap way to buy a leaf blower.
Haven’t had any problems with it blowing too hard on the lowest setting. I think maybe people just need to adjust their distance from the leaves, perhaps if their previous machine was a bit weak it will be different.

  97. Anonymous says:

Light enough to carry around garden ‘sweeping’ leaves and the irritating little seeds that stick to tarmac. Uses the same battery as my lawnmower. It is quite powerful but actually sometimes you do not need full power which causes the leaves to fly up and come back down again where you just moved them from! A gentler ‘sweeping’ action moves leaves and debris into a corner, better for pick-up.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersVery impressed with this, seems to do the job nicely even with wet leaves. My only concern is on the length of the battery power – it seems adequate but no more than that so i’d say this is a good product if you either have a moderate amount of leaves to blow or will do regularly (little but often), its going to be frustrating if you there is a lot to get through.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersA good buy for blowing leaves from a large lawn on a regular basis before the major clean up at the end of autumn. Very important as we have 3 dogs and I like to know what I am walking on!
Glad I took the time to find out that the battery from our Bosch lawn mower fits the blower; saved 100 buying basic blower without battery and charger.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersA very capable cordless leaf blower.
The reason for purchase was that I already own a brilliant Bosch cordless lawn mower with two batteries and a charger.
As this blower uses the same batteries it was very cost effective to buy this solo model.
All told a good value item.
