Signing up for the 3 yr Warranty.
I liked the cutter and every thing worked as it should. However, signing up for the three year warranty was a nightmare. I have never used this site before and I hope that I will never have to use it again.

Excelle
Very easy to use and extremely efficient. Great price too.
Does the job
I found this very good. I used it for the first time as nobody to cut bushes. Being a female I wondered if I could manage but I did. Quite light and easy to use.

These Bosch Hedge Trimmers were bought to replace 40+yr Black & Decker that had expired last autumn. The new ones arrived within 24 hours, in good packaging, undamaged. They are light and uber sharp. …not too heavy for my arthritic hands/thumbs, as a 70+ female I can handle them easily, would recommend. The 10mtr cable is quite flexible, but will need an extension for a larger garden. They won’t quite cut the thickness of stems that the old B&D did, but – heavier/stronger trimmers would have been harder to handle, I conceded to this. I registered them on-line for extended – to 3yrs, guarantee. It was very difficult on-line to do this, Bosch don’t do themselves any favours, jumping through ‘all the hoops’ took quite a while; if you do this be sure to get the serial and product codes off the trimmers before you start. However, as I am so pleased with the trimmers I have still given them 5 stars

Light weigh
Blade is quite long so it means you cover more hedge with each cut which minimises time spent stretching out your arms. That’s logical but I hadn’t considered blade length when I bought it. The other plus is how sharp new blades are like cutting through butter and the machine is more than powerful enough for a suburban garden and importantly light enough for a relative oldie like me (70).
My cutting is used on a variety of shrubs, pitsom porum, climbing hydrangea, ceonathis, and various hedges – but no beech.

LIGHTWEIGHT HEDGE CUTTER AT GOOD PRICE
Easy to use, does a good job, but why is there not a cable-winder built-in or detachable???
Super hedge trimmers
Easy to use and light weight which gives a close cut.
Good quality lightweight trimmers
Easy to use and lightweight compared to our previous ones. They cut clean through our hedges.
Amazing machine. One thing you have to worry. Make sure you have an eye on cable all the time to make sure you dont cut it. It is not heavy as you may think. For personal use is doing the job. After you finish your job make sure you apply some oil on the blade. Read the manual I would highly recommend

Bosch AHS 60-16
I have used this strong Hedge Cutter for three seasons and to date it has been brilliant. Very strong and lightweigh
Would recommend.
Hedge trimmers are lightweight and do the hedge well, but do find it a little difficult keeping both buttons in at the same time. But am sure I will get used to it.
Good value, easy to use
Easy to use, but being a novice hedge-strimmer user, I cut through the cord after 30 minutes use. This was an expensive lesson to learn, but down to my own negligence. Up to then very happy with it and will definitely buy another.
Nice!
Great and easy to use. I now want the matching Mower.
Robust yet light enough.
Light enough for a big hedge. Worked well last year and about to start again very shortly.
No probs at all.
Do the job with ease and not too heavy to handle – highly recommended.
Handy tool
Ideal for purpose, to trim privet hedge and garden shrubs. Lightweight and easy to use.
Great tool
My previous hedge-trimmer broke so this replaced it. It cuts really well, cleanly and quickly – actually far better than my old one. Hedge-cutting was a chore – now it’s quite a delight!
another good produc
a very good hedge trimmer lightweight easy to handle. very happy with the product.
Ease of handling
Length of cut was good enabling to make a more rapid cut of the hedge
Five Stars
Works really well with good reach and cutting ability up to about 1.5cm thick.
Lightweight, quiet and a clean cut.
I am incredibly impressed with this hedge cutter. Given that it was a more powerful model than the last one that i owned, and has aloger blade, it is both lighter, quieter and cuts brilliantly. It has exceeded my expectations and i can thoroughly recommend this product.
Excellent tool much lighter than my old petrol hedge cutte
Excellent tool much lighter than my old petrol hedge cutter, but starts instantly, adn great power and cutting ability, recommended
This choice was as replacement for my heavy duty Bosch AHS480-24T, weighing in at 4.1kg, which had failed after 12 years heavy use. I was tempted to. go for the AHS60-26 at 129-99 & weighing in at 3.6kg, but chose the lightweight above at 2.7kg. The reasoning is that we have some 200m of large hedging – hawthorn, beech & privet; but at age 83, I find in increasingly hard to handle the heavier cutters. The decision was influenced by another correspondent who sagely pointed out that the cutter cost equals a single visit from a professional gardener. We have such a proven service, better than I can cut, but my reasoning was that if I can continue for 2 or 3 more years before I give up it is a healthier option! So how is the AHS50-16 ? A slightly longer blade, much lighter @ 2.7kg; a wickedly sharp set of cutters; an integral cable -i.e. not detachable. (I still need a long extension lead to access the remotest corners of the hedging). The ‘test run’ was on a 2m spherical holly bush, covered in soft new growth. Very easy. The next test will be whether I can maintain sufficient finger pressure to use the cutter as a milling machine when cutting the long straight hedge tops. Hence 4 stars for a start.
Addendum: Have now (end September) cut all hedging ready for the Winter. Partly due to the extraordinary dry Summer, the hedge growth was not as rampant as in previous years. The cutter has done the job well, although unlike it’s powerful heavy predecessor, it struggles somewhat with thicker stems. Nevertheless, it has proved the point, so I think it deserves the fifth star.

A cut above
Got this after giving up on cordless, brilliant hedge trimmer I have 3 large hedges as I’m on a corner. Such a relief from having to wait for a battery to charge cuts with ease.

Excellent Tool. I was able to cut down smaller Fir – Trees and Hedges. I am really pleased with this product and is not so heavy. I am happy about the safety measure; you have to keep pushing the two triggers (handles) together, in order to use the electric hedge trimmer.

Love working with this power tool
Love working with this power tool. It cuts with ease, doesn’t make too much noise and feels solid in hand. Great value for money and trims our hedges beautifully!
Robust but lightweight hedge cutter. Ideal for tall hedges although some may find the safety measure of two-handed operation a bit restrictive(you need one hand on the safety release and one on the start trigger to operate). I find the cutter excellent in use and the 500mm blade just about right for quite a thick hedge. Well made and plenty of cutting power.

As I am a pensioner I find that this hedge cutter is nice and light and enables me to get all of my hedge cut in one day rather than spreading it over two or three days. I would strongly recommend this for anyone who needs a light weight cutter.
Cutting a fine dash through the hedges and shrubs
The cutter is quite light to use and has coped with about 100ft of hedge easily. It trimmed shrubs too and seems to do the jobs required with little difficulty. It is easy to use and the safety features plus a circuit breaker, of course, give peace of mind.
Impressive and ligh
Bought this as I got fed up with my battery powered one that just doesn’t last long enough. This one is about the same weight – more powerful and just does the job really well. Impressed.
I am really happy with i
After some research I decided on the Bosch hedge cutter. I am really happy with it, easy to use and it cut/trims bushes and small branch trees with ease. The only problem is that you get a little trim happy and risk butchering some of your trees/bushes, much to the disgust of your judging wife!

Top class

Unfortunately my husband cut through the wire on first use – so if you too are likely to do the same, I’d suggest a rechargeable version. That said, the cutter length is ideal for our medium garden, surrounded by hedges.

Husband was delighted, his old one having died with just 1 metre of hedge left to cut! Bosch name & quality speaks for itself
Perfect for a bit of bush manageme
Does what it should. Keep the blades oiled and it’ll last.
A Trim Trimmer!.
Usual fine quality that you expect from Bosch, well balanced and easy to handle. Flex is long enough to get a fairway without having to stop and move the extension lead. All in all a good product.
Good produc
This unit is lightweight which is a must for something that has to be raised above head height. Easy to use grip as well. Only comment I have is that it doesn’t have a cable restraint although the accompanying user guide shows one.
Very Reliable
I already owned one of these for many years, and its cut was first class. This replacement is equally good, and I hope for many years of service if the last one is anything to go by.
Good performance
Functions well considering the price, could do better on larger branches, but otherwise very good.

i object to having cold calls after dealing with your company amazon. goods and the Bosch very good and I’ve bought bosch before but price was excellant but I object to immediately tons of cold calls. You sell my details on to abroad scammers. It’s not right.
Light, sharp, reliable. If you prefer a mains electric hedgetrimmer this is an easy recommendation. It replaces a similar Bosch model which I used for 4 years (I cut quite a few hedges). Granted a cable can be a drawback but with use you get used to it. The big advantage over petrol hedgetrimmers is lightness which is important to me as I’m not beefy. The advantage over cordless is it keeps going all day if necessary.
This is better than any other electric hedgetrimmer that I’ve used for lightness, sharpness, versatility, and durability.

Does the job. It’s a bit heavier than my old Calcast but has a longer reach, which is useful. So far has scythed through leylandii & beech hedges with no difficulty.

wow this strimmer for the money is amazing we have 7ft conifer trees that we shape ..and as the saying is like a knife through butter probably the best they’ve looked for a few years and for under 60 pounds …excelle

Good trimmer, but the blade guard is a bit cheap and fiddly to put on compared with my previous Black and Decker.
Very good product and light to use
Bought this to replace a heavy set of hedge trimmers. Very good product and light to use. Would be no good for cutting thick branches, this one is ok up to 16mm which suits me fine. Would recommend this product.
I’m a complete idiot in the garden, but this is easy to wield, and the two-point power button means I always feel safe when using it. You’ll need a pruning saw for thicker branches/trunks, but for hedges, vines, bushes, mullets, this is just the ticket.

Replacement for 40 year old black & decker, finished the hedge off a treat only time will tell if it’s as good as old one.
Your making no mistake when you buy this item.
My other half wanted this Im a lady I find it a bit heavy but its a great item blade lovely and long to shorten your work time.
Should 'do the trick'
A bit heavier than I would have wished for but it has a good long blade that should make trimming my tree much easier than with my rechargeable model which has a shorter blade.
ow looks like a superb piece of topiary
Brill – chopped my conifer no problem .now looks like a superb piece of topiary.i am sure it will be perfect for the hedges.
Great for the money.
Excellent price, (as the smaller was more expensive). Easy to use and lightweight. Cable could of been a little bit longer but I had an extension at hand. So no problem there really. Good for medium sized jobs ( I have 40 feet of Lailandi to cut both sides) but really big jobs need to have a larger more powerful machine. If I was being picky I would have liked somewhere to wind the cable round but that’s all.
Tamed garde
This is a great time saving tool for any one with hedges and bushes. It cuts through ours like butter. When you do hit a thicker branch that its not too keen to cut in one go, I tend to just keep going at it in waves and it eventually cuts it. I’m actually very impressed at how strong this is for the price we paid for it. We tried the battery version of this and it ran out far too quickly for what was needed. I’d rather be sitting in my garden, rather than waiting around for batteries to charge and having to do it by hand whilst I wait. With this you don’t need to worry about charging times, just make sure you’ve got an extension lead (the attached lead is not very long) and you’re all set! The benefit, is that if it does struggle it has all the power it needs on tap, to tackle any hurdles.
The blade includes a fiddly cover that I guess protects it or rather you from it. I’ll be honest, I’m probably going to throw it away, its a bit of a hassle trying to put it back on and mine will be staying in the shed when not in use and there a far sharper objects in there than this, so it’s a bit silly in my view. The blade it self is a perfect length, just long enough to be able to cut horizontally and vertically in just a few strides. For me, theres no need for a step ladder or squeezing myself onto the other side of the hedge, as this is the perfect length.
I have found that holding it up after a while, it does tend to feel quite heavy but I would think most things would, if you held it above shoulder height for long. For under 40 this is a true bargain and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family (although, they’ll likely just borrow mine now). Even at the full RRP this is still a good purchase.
Edit: Having cut through the cable, it would be nice if the cable were replaceable. I have fixed and all is well, but on reflection it would be nice to be able to replace the cable should I cut it more often. What I may do, is just replace the cable myself, but it would have been a nice feature to have. Still a 5 Star and excellent value cutter.
