Quality item
Very glad to have gone with a quality brand like Bosch. This is extremely well made, clearly of good materials, and I am sure it will last many years. Tempreture readings are fast and it’s very easy to use.
Multiple uses
we are finding more and more uses for it There was a problem with our hot water and we used it to trace the heat path of the pipe in a wall and there was a change in temp which was caused by a blockage in the pipe fixed it in no time We used it to balance our central heating system by taking the temperature in and out of the radiators now they are balanced and we don’t have one red hot room and a cold room We found an overheating 13 amp socket which didn’t have any outward signs of damage so its very versatile
I originally bought this to determine when a pizza stone was fully heated, but it’s great for so many more things. I also use it to measure the temp of cooking oilb and used it to see if any areas of my house were leaking heat (such as around windows, doors and vents). Measuring heat loss with this thermometer was great since I could instantly see which areas didn’t require any insulation.
Another unexpected task I used this for was to balance all of my radiators in my new house. I was able to adjust the water flow on the ‘lockshield’ valve (this is on the first, or main, radiator) so that the temp of all subsequent radiators was the same. This saved me so much time and aggravation!
Please note that this thermometer gets more accurate the closer you get to the test object. It isn’t designed to take a temperature from 10 feet away. This thermometer also has a setting to adjust for shiny objects such as windows and bare metal. This feature is not available on cheaper models.
Also, do not use this thermometer to measure the temp of people as the laser will scar their retinas if it shines directly in the eyes.

Easy to use just point and shoot. Remember to set the laser mode to suit the type of material you are wanting to get a temperature reading as some are more absorbent than others.
…although I’m not sure why I need to know. Easy to use, laser for being sure you’re measuring what you ‘think’ you’re pointing at. There are lots of no name cheaper versions on Amazon but what’s the point of measuring something if you’re not confident of the instrument ? Battery compartment is easy to access so its no hassle to remove the batteries when you store it , thus avoiding the leaked battery event that kills so many of these infrequently used items.
Well worth paying the extra few quid.
You generally get what you pay for, and with so many cheaply-made, inferior products saturating the market, it’s always difficult to know where to even start.
I use this for screen printing, which requires exacting temperatures when curing with a flash.
This Bosch is exactly what I needed.
It does what it needs to do with ease, gives you immediate results, and it’s easy to read – with an auto shut-off.

I bought it to check for heat-loss through external walls – by measuring the temperatures on the inside of the walls. It was an eye-opener – some walls were very cold – proving that we need to upgrade the insulation.
I have found it useful in other ways, such as checking the performance of hot-water radiators and even the oven.

Besser als erwartet!
Es zeigt bei wiederholter Messung immer gleichbleibende Werte. Selbst Wasser im Schwimmbecken ,was eigentlich nicht gehen sollte ,zeigt er korrekt an. Sich abkhlende Medien zeigt das Gert im in Schritten von 0,1 laufend an .Man kann der Temperatur beim Abkhlen zusehen! Gekauft habe ich das Teil weil meine Frau meinte :Die Waschmaschine erreicht keine Kochtemperatur .Selbst Messung durch das Glas des Bullauges wird +- 1 Grad genau angezeigt egal ob auf dem angebrachten ,matten Aufkleber oder direkt durchs Glas auf die Wsche , zeigt das Teil immer gleiche Werte . Habe eigentlich nicht erwartet.
Ob die jetzt 1 oder 3 Grad genau sind ist eigentlich Wurscht !!! Dubis

Auch wenn ich mittlerweile kein riesiger Bosch Fan mehr bin, muss man hier sagen, das Teil ist sauber verarbeitet wie man es erwartet bei Bosch und es funktioniert einwandfrei, gutes Handling, da hat man gut mitgedacht.
Sogar Fieber messen kann man damit mal schnell, allerdings muss man wissen, dass die angezeigten Werte mit einer gewissen Toleranz zu sehen sind (Die Nachkommastelle ist wohl mehr Show als Genauigkeit – was abgesehen vom Einsatz als Fiebermesser keine groe Rolle spielt – dafr ist das Gert aber auch nicht vorgesehen)

Es ist in drei Stufen verstellbar sodass zwischen hoch reflektiven bis hin zu absorbierenden Materialen gewhlt werden kann
Nutze es fr meine Hobbys.. um die Temperatur im Teich zu messen also wann die Fische gefttert werden drfen und fr nitro modellbau Motoren um die Einstellung am vergaser immer so nachzujustieren, dass der Verschlei gering bleibt.

Me sert pour le travail (essentiellement pour valuer des variations de tempratures des surfaces, je n’ai pas besoin d’une grande prcision sur une grande plage), la maison pour la plancha, le plateau de mon imprimante 3D… bonne prise en main, bonne qualit perue. un regret : pas de housse.
J’ai mis 5 toiles sur la prcision en partant du principe que c’est un outil orient “grand public”.

As per the title I purchased this for one job. My dad has recently installed a new greenhouse and had polycarbonate glass panels made for it. He wanted to heat several up with a heat gun so that they could be shaped into place with a curvature. The Melting point of the poly panels used is 155c and its pretty crucial not to exceed this too much so they don’t ruin.
I read lots of reviews for alternate non branded thermometers and just wasn’t convinced, Bosch is a brand I have had good experiences with so although the price point is slightly higher than some of the low end competition I picked this based on brand reputation and good reviews.
The Good –
This unit feels extremely well built in hand. There are no cheap materials to be found, its either chunky thick plastic or rubber around the grip which makes holding it very comfortable too.
It’s fairly compact, easy to hold, the trigger is well positioned too.
Operation is super simple. Aim at the source of your heat/cold, pull the trigger and the laser beam highlights the targeted material with a highly visible red dot.
Within two seconds a reading is given on the gun screen. And that’s it.
I don’t profess to have any fancy measurement tools to benchmark the accuracy of this gun with, however, I can say that when the gun hit 150c the poly sheets started to become malleable as desired so I imagine that this is fairly accurate.
The gun auto shuts off after a period of time though I’m not sure how long which is another welcome feature to help save battery life.
The could be better –
If there is one improvement that could be made to this unit it would be a stronger back light on the screen. The picture shown doesn’t really highlight my view but when I was using this in direct sunlight it was something of a strain to see the temperature rising. That said it was one of the hottest/sunniest days of the year so far and I cannot really mark the gun down based on just this.
I am unsure that I’ll ever have a requirement to use this again, however the job that it was purchased for it did it very well and in that it saved a small fortune should we have had to replace any of the poly carbonate panels due to overheating.
Excellent thermometer from a brand you know you can trust. Whatever your need for such a piece of kit you could do a lot worse than invest in a Bosch Thermometer.

Je travaille en rnovation immobilire et l’isolation thermique est un poste difficile grer.
L’appareil de mesure Bosch donne des tempratures assez prcises sur un point, mais, il est difficile de reprer un point de dperdition sur une surface et d’interprter les mesures.
Le thermomtre ne peut pas remplacer une camra thermique pour cette utilisation.
Connaitre la temprature d’un point donn, c’est bien, mais quel intrt ?
Peut-tre en cuisine ?
Il est impossible de connaitre la temprature d’une pice.
Bien que cet appareil soit facile d’utilisation, prcis, je l’utilise trs peu.

When this arrived my daughter said “Great mum now you can read my temperature, this looks like the ones we have in school” this made be giggle (She was half right but not totally)
Bosch has its hand in so many different tools these days and this has been a life saver for me – it’s a Infrared thermometer at a retail price of 49.99 which is a really good price compared to others.
The only disappointment is that it’s ran on AA batteries instead of having a rechargeable build in battery.
Has a wide temper range, easy to use, spot on results, 2 ways to measure, 2 units of measurements (I always go with the C)
Just a shame it don’t come with a storage bag or a plastic case.

Il termometro , arrivato nei tempi previsti, e’ molto semplice da usare, molto comodo da impugnare e per l’ uso che ne faccio io adoperandolo per rilevare la temperatura in un forno a legna e’ valido ,con un ottimo rapporto prezzo qualita’. Non ho dato la quinta stella perche’ lo provato solo tre volte ed e’ capitato che ripetendo la misurazione nel solito punto immediatamente dopo la prima c’era una variazione di sei sette gradi.
Technisches Gerät, kein Fieberthermometer!
Es handelt sich um ein technisches Gert, und als solches funktioniert es prima und ist einfach zu bedienen. Es gibt 3 verschiedene Einstellungen fr verschiedene Materialgruppen. Wenn man es genau haben will muss man sich also merken (oder kurz nachlesen), welche Einstellung fr das vorliegende Material die richtige ist. Aber bei meinen bisherigen Versuchen waren die Unterschiede der Ergebnisse nicht sehr gro. Ob mein Grill beispielsweise grade 240 oder 245 Grad heiss ist, ist mir wurscht. Auf der Haut gemessen ergeben zwischen den Einstellungen aber Unterschiede von etwa 1,2 Grad, also etwa 2,4 Grad zwischen Einstellung 1 und 3, und auch alle drei deutlich unter Krpertemperatur. Als Fiebertermometer also aus meiner Sicht nicht geeignet, und das soll dieses Gert ja auch nicht sein!

Ich habe mir das Infrarot Thermometer fr die Heizungsjustierung (Vor-/Rcklauf) besorgt.
Das Gert ist sehr solide verarbeitet und einfach zu bedienen. Eine deutsche Bedienungsanleitung liegt bei.
