I ordered this watch from Amazon and was amazed – it arrived the next day! I love this G-Shock. It is the only watch that can withstand the pressure at the bottom of the ocean at 3km. I’ve seen YouTube videos or people hammering hard this watch and not even a scratch was left. If you want one indestructible watch in your collection, buy this one from Amazon. You will not find it cheaper elsewhere. I’d give it 10 stars if I could and I wear it daily as my Sports watch.

Great watch, I replaced it for every day wear instead of the Casio Edifice I have. It is a great watch, even though it has been on the market for a while it is seemingly timeless, very chuffed with it.
And for those questioning whether it is genuine – yes, it is the real thing and cannot go wrong investing in one!
This is the second G-Shock watch I’ve had and the overall quality and accuracy are excellent. Before my original G-Shock watch (which lasted for many years) watches of various qualities, never lasted so long because of my lifestyle and occupation. I messed up the other one trying to replace the battery myself, therefore there wasn’t any failure of watch quality or reliability. Great value for money. Just don’t replace the battery yourself

The background does appear to be slightly too dark to read the time, but on the other hand, it looks less ‘childlish as there are fewer things on the screen that are visible.

I bought this sporty-looking heavy duty watch in hopes of using it at work. When you work in construction sites, you want something comfortable, light and robust to rezist the rough work conditions. This watch is just what I was looking for. I can easily see the time in dark site areas with the help of the led light button and can safely say it really is impact rezistant as it has had a few impacts with…… and tools. I love that it is not magnetic because ove had incidents before where my watch got stuck to metal beams, but not with the G-shock. I’ve yet to test the waterproof feature, but I’m sure if you were to accidentally hop in the shower with it on, it would be just fine. It is a very well built watch, sturdy and heavy-duty, yet very comfortable. It fits extremely well on the wrist and the blue-black color combo gives it an exquisite look. I enjoy wearing this watch outside of work as well because it triples as an alarm clock, a stopwatch and a timer. In addition to these features, if you’ve got family living in different time zones and find it inconvenient calculating the time differences, this watch will help u see the times in different areas. Would highly recommend!
Had it for 4 years now and wear it almost every day. It has survived working on the farm and a housebuild. A little hard to read the date sometimes when the hands are at a certain position or in bright sunlight but that’s very critical.
Well worth money but instructions could have been better to get full use of the watch

There’s lots of bells and whistles on this big black Casio G-Shock but I just wanted it because it’s a good looking classic Casio that has an easy to read white analogue hands. To read anything else, you’ll need a magnifying glass!
The only problem is the light which is very poor and so it’s impossible to read the digital areas at night. But it’s a well made rugged nice looking watch apart from that. Surprised that g shock would not have a decent light.
I was hoping that the alarm will ring indefinitely until you press a button but it just rings for a few seconds and it stops. This alarm won’t wake me up most of the times.
I’ve had this G-shock wristwatch for some time now. Just enjoy it a lot. I wear it to work all the time and it feels good.
Previously, I had two tries with expensive and absolutely undurable Suunto X10 Military and Suunto Core. With my extreme hobbies they survived only about 1 year each single. So far I am absolutely happy with these Casio G-Shock watches. I believe it is best value for the these money.

G-Shock name is more than enough. I am very happy with the watch and the Amazon service. The watch has red hands that looks good, although it is not easy to read the time. I do recommend this watch.
Paid just over 50 for the watch and it has a lot to offer for the price. The main concern is that even with the orange light, the watch isn’t vert legible at night (but that is to be expected with a blacked-out version). Like most G-Shock’s, the watch is quite large but it is a good option for a casual beater.

Fantastic, i am a collector or shall i say starting as a got quite a few in my collection, this watch was intented for me but we brought it for my son for christmas, and hasnt taken it of his wrist, wish i didnt give it to him now.WE NEED AT LEAST 1 GSHOCK IN YOUR LIFE, THIS IS THE MODEL I WOULD START OF WITH.
Bought as a sports watch. Very light weight and white hands are easy to read, though the digital panels are less easy. You have to angle the watch to see these. Overall a nice G-Shock though.

A cheaper option of the G-shock range. But it you just want a watch that tells the time and date, then you can’t go wrong with this. I couldn’t give it 5 stars as I haven’t tested the waterproof claim.

WoW is all I can say I love watches and have a few but the GSHOCK is now my favourite it’s big solid build, however it’s not heavy on the wrist like some other watches it’s ready for anything you throw at it, even the metal tin it comes in is solid, this version with red is easy to read time on a light comes on at night that gives you just enough time to read the time with a move of your wrist COOL, Amazon surpassed themselves on the Delivery a day before it was Due, can be bit fiddly to setup but YouTube video’s will have you clued up in 5mins, Negatives for the GSHOCK I can’t find any I have now found a brand that I will be purchasing more different models.

Well, 6 years later and it’s still on my wrist.. What else can I say?? I have replaced a battery and the strap, but generally these are exceptionally well built watches.
Great watch, very sturdy and stylish piece. I thought it is going to be too bulky, but this is definitely not the case, fits perfectly and very light.
Built in light is weak and not illuminating the digital display, but does the job to make the hands visible.
Don’t know mater what I did I can get it to set to London time. Even followed the YouTube video.
watch light is not at all good .the manual you need exelent eye sight to read best to go on your pc and just lookup the set up that is the easy way time keeping very good waterproof not tested

But I’m so glad i did.
I had mine for six months now and they are right , these watches are pretty much unbreakable.
I’ve worn mine everyday at work in a frozen warehouse, its been knocked about loads and not a scratch on it.
It’s big but not at all bulky, I’ve got quite small wrists and it fits perfect.
Anyone thinking of getting one, do it.
You won’t regret it.

This is a good looking watch and found setting it up a breeze thanks to YouTube videos on it.
It’s good quality and comfortable to wear.
As other buyers have commented the light could be better,and the digital display is useless in the dark(if for any reason you wanted to use the stopwatch etc in low light it would be near damn impossible (analogue display ok in low light.
Overall very pleased with it,and the digital display ok in daylight (if not too bright)

Nice watch, light on the wrist and doesn’t feel to big. So far very pleased with it, only gripe is the light, just about see the small hand (cause mines red) and can’t see any of the info. Still for just over 50 can’t grumble
Only had it a week but I really like it already. Comfortable and a fair size on my big wrists, although maybe not quite as big as I was hoping. I am really liking the light option which whilst it does not illuminate the digital display it more than clearly shows the analogue hands in the dark.

purchased in September 2014, used everyday in building trade from demolition to rebuild and everything inbetween, case and strap well worn and scuffed but still working fine, bezel has some tiny pits on the face but nothing that obscures the the view.
Light isnt bright enough to see at night but otherwise a great watch

Durable and reliable but you probably won’t be able to see the watch face in low light conditions and the backlight is useless for the digital time. I new that before purchasing and if your like me, that isn’t a big issue because you probably use this in a well lit environment. The watch is bigger than your average timepiece but you’ll get used to it. 4*’s but love this particular g shock.
The watch is alright! But it’s not brand new! When i order it i was expecting for a new one not for an already used one! It has no defects but it should be mentioned somewhere that it’s already used so you know what are you ordering!
I love this watch. So easy to read and use. I wear it in my workshop and don’t need to worry about bashing it. I wear it for walking and don’t need to worry about rain or mud. Best of all it’s so easy to adjust when I travel.

Good watch for rugged work. Can not change the date to day/month as not everyone (anyone outside America) uses this date standard. The light is an awful yellow colour that totally ruins the style of the watch when on and can make it harder to read the time as it’s too powerful and only emits from the bottom of the watch which reflects the display and looks tacky. Great watch, very comfortable to wear, chunky but elegant looking. It feels solid and durable too; I’ve been wearing it for a couple of weeks now and it feels like a piece of kit I’ll be wearing for the next five years.
Great love it, yup difficult to read at night but I don’t have a real requirement to read the time 24 / 7. Slightly large on my wrist but I do have small hands and wrist. Love it.
I don’t agree with others that the digital displays are difficult to read (unless you’re in the dark). The light will light up the displays as well if you put your finger over it to reflect the light onto the displays.
