I love these shears, they do all the work for you. I’ve used these for two years now at work and now have bought my own set.
I would recommend to family or a friend

This thing cuts flat sheet metal like butter! I haven’t cut corrugated metal yet, but on flat stock it flies through it like nothing. I am definitely happy with this purchase.

I love this tool I have an older Dewalt impact as well as many new ones but I use the old one for these Metal shears great idea. I haven’t used it that much don’t know how long it will last but I love what I see so far for the money.

I was hesitant on buying this item but glad I did, just cut 14 20″x11″ holes in 24″ spiral no problem, goes through the seam as well. Probably not the best for it but it does.
Seems weak the way it mounts but it’s fine.
A good product to have in the carry all when you don’t want sparks or a loud tool.

Best used with a drill not a impact. The impact just impacts constantly.

Used on a makita 18v drill.

Make a couple of test cuts in a piece of scrap before using it on your good material. Start off slowly and guide it slowly through the material, it’s easy to get ahead of yourself. It will cut very quickly if you let it. I was using it to cut metal roofing panels and I had to be careful cutting through the ridges, sometimes cutting the ridges with a set of aviation snips. Overall very happy with my purchase.

This attachment worked really well on our impact driver. It made cutting vinyl siding very simple. I recommend it for cuts that are straight as it didn’t work well for notched areas on the siding. We also tried it on tin with great success. Overall very impressed with the functionality.

Quite a bit nicer than shears or a grinder. There’s a learning curve to it bur once you find the sweet spot it goes fast. It doesn’t go over metal siding ribs very well. Lastly the brace that attaches to the impact shrinks the room left for your hand drastically.

Excellent shears very easy to use and attach to your drill or impact drill.(doesn’t have to be DeWalt). Produces very nice clean clean cuts with no burs. Doesn’t bind up when cutting, easy to cut curve’s and shapes.

I love this tool. Some said that it doesn’t cut R panel. I’ve had great luck by facing the the drill upwards. That way you can cup on the upslope of the tall ribs. Just rotate the head 180 degrees and lock it down.
Yes it’s faster and easier to cut with a circular saw or grinder, but that’s a lot more dangerous. Spreading shavings at high speed towards your eyes and body.
Takes a little practice to cut straight.

    Great tool on R Panel

When you get it going it does cut pretty well. The support bracket is a little clumsy, could have been designed a little better. But probably makes it adapt to a wider range of drills and drivers. I would definitely recommend it for a hobbyist or someone who occasionally needs to cut metal sheeting.

This tool is another great addition to my tools arsenal. Tool itself is quite small and light. How heavy or cumbersome it gets depends on the drill you attach it to. I installed it on my Bosch Drill-Driver as it is lighter and smaller than the Dewalt’s I currently own. The tool itself cuts material like butter. So smooth that it takes a little practice to stay on the lines. Beats all hand tin shears hands down.

I used this on .030 x 36″ wide corrugated metal roof panels. Metal Thickness was not an issue for shears. You do have hold the impact at a bit of an angle to navigate the high points of the corrugation. I actually believe this would work as well or better on a higher and longer corrugated pattern. There will be no issue at all cutting flat stock.

Purchased this product for cutting ceiling pans for speakers. In the past I have used tin snips and my hand would be beat up by the time I got one cut. This tool added to my drill made cutting the sheet metal like cutting paper. Extremely easy to use. Quick. Had 12 pieces of sheet metal to cut and this did that in minutes. A must have for anyone that wants small and compact sheet metal cutters. Worth the money.

I bought these sheets for a metal roofing project. First use took a little practice but they performed quite well. They cut fairly straight with practice. But I noticed my impact driver get very hot on just 16″ pass. Like much hotter than it does if I’m driving screws all day long

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI love DeWalt! To met it has always meant quality. However, this product initocame up short.
The knob you see in these pics is worthless! You can “tighten” it up all you want but as you try to cut it will rotate on its axis and you end up unable to cut soft butter!
SO… I placed a 3/16 hole in the body of the cutter which enabled the knob to screw into it and keep it rock solid. After this small adaptation, it worked better than I thought it would!!!
    I am very pleased now!

Almost Great. Now Great Because I Fixed It!

am using these to cut pole barn tin with one inch deep ribs. very difficult to manuver and navigate. i found that they do work ,but are difficult to steer them. i mean this… they get the tin cut faster and easier than tin snips, but are very hard to keep cutting in a straight line while navigating the ribbed steel. i also bought a ryobi metal shears and the ryobi are easier to control.

Nice tool but doesn’t fit the greatest on my Milwaukee 18v drill or impact. Now I understand its made by a different company so with that in mind it still works well. I wanted to use it for steel siding and works great on ripping, but will not open wide enough for the 4″ lap or nailing strip at the top. Still a nice addon for the price.

This is a great piece. It leaves a very nice cut. It’s almost like having a handheld Beverly Shear. There is virtually no distortion along the cut line. It does tight corners very well. It does take some getting used to, to control speed, but that common with any powered shear. We’ve tried it with both a 20v drill, and a 12v drill, and the performance was very good. Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI stumbled upon a review on this product on youtube and was intrigued. I have always cut with sheet metal shears by hand and after a few sheets, I would need a break. Power shears are interesting, but I didn’t need another tool, nor wanted to spend the money on a mono-usage item.

This product is simply awesome. I use almost exclusively Ryobi One+ tools and it fits the impact driver perfectly, right into the holes on on the bottom of the handle. It will fit the drill/driver as well, but the support leg doesn’t clamp very securely since it’s missing those holes.

I cut some 18ga sheet metal to test and it just went through it like it was paper. Absolutely awesome. For the price I paid (caught a short price drop!) it’s an amazing deal.

Awesome for hvac, cuts fast and doesn’t mess up tin edges like you may think. Nice clean edge. Fits Makita impact drill also. Dewalt impacts fit best due to the two pin holes on each side for the bottom mount to fit as there are two small pins that fit in. However you can still tighten and make it work well enough. Great price also canadian tire wanted 160 for same unit.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUsed this to cut hardware cloth for my chicken coops. Made short work of the job. Easy to fit on the dewalt nut driver, adjustable opening between the jaws, easy to remove. If you run the tool in reverse, it uncuts the steel (not really). I let my wife and daughter use this tool (after a very looong discussion) and they managed to a) cut the metal, b) not cut off their fingers and c) not break it. I would strongly recommend this tool to people that know how to do things, I wouldn’t recommend it to those who don’t. Nobody paid me anything or suggested that I write this review – it’s my opinion and I own it and the tool. 🙂

So obviously like all nippers it’s best for long strait runs that don’t cross the ribs of the metal roofing. How ever I found it to be pretty decent cutting across the ridges as well. I’ve used it to nip bands off pallets, hardware cloth and chicken wire. It’ll surprise you, I even cut a plastic 55 gallon drum into water troughs for my pigs. I have an older dedicated drill for it but it quickly detaches if you want to just use it as needed on your everyday drill. I think most of us use our impact driver for fastening screws these days so the drill in your kit/combo isn’t seeing allot of action anyways. I’m just a small farm/homestead and this is ideal for me.

ice product for the price. cuts smoother than i expected. i would recommend a variable speed drill or impact since u really cant go full trigger with any accuracy. starting thicker metal cuts has to b done slow as it will push itself away from cut.
my only complaint is that it is not super easy to attach to the gun youre using. it would have been easier with some type of point maybe that could someehat penetrate the rubber surround rather than find a spot.that hopefully works. other than that, i find it a perfect tool to have in your bag should you work with brake metal.
