Just want a coffee lover wanted
In search for an eco-friendly cappicino I selected this combined with Dualit’s Express-Auto Coffee and Tea machine and Ecopress aluminium capsule recycler purchased direct from Dualit (sorry to nasty Amazon) and loving the taste of good coffee and frothed milk.

Used for making lattes. This works well and is fine as a home unit. It is not quite up to the standard of products used in specialised coffee shops but I did not expect it to be of quite that standard. This is a compact unit, froths well and is very easy to clean. I am well satisfied with it.
Great gadge
I love my milk frother. I put chocolate on top of the milk and it works like the velvetiser. I also make mocha and normal chocolate powder. Not sure about the cold milk froth function. But I love the hot milk froth function myself with my hot chocolate and my husband prefers the standard heating slight whisking function.

I bought this for my mum for Christmas as she is turning into a hot chocolate afficionado. Whilst the instructions tell you not to use anything beyond milk in it, we found it to be okay with hot chocolate flakes (the Hotel Chocolat ones) and even drops (the Sainsbury’s posh ones). The temperature is what I would call “drinking temperature” but some people might want it hotter. When frothing milk on its own, we used skimmed milk and the froth was very impressive and made a great cafe con leche!

The Best Frother I have had
My first frother was the same model which was excellent, when that one broke I replaced it with a cheaper brand which was OK but you was always cleaning burnt milk from the bottom, when that one died I had no hesitation in going back to Dualit, I have had this one a number of weeks now and never had burnt milk once.
Had some hotel chocolat hot chocolate bought for Christmas but don’t have a velvetiser. Took a chance on this since it’s pretty much the same, yet can do a whole lot more. So pleased I took that chance! It makes great frothy coffees, iced lattes and fabulous for hot chocolate. I set it in motion before I pour the sachet in, or before I add the powder. Never had a problem with it sticking or burning. To clean it I just rinse it out then set it off with cold water in it.
I am dairy intolerant so I have used mainly oat milk in it. The first two times I used it, it didn’t froth, but now it does. It does froth cows milk better than oat milk but I’m really not that bothered.
This makes hot chocolate at the perfect temp- not too hot, drinkable as soon as it’s made. I also prefer my coffee a little cooler so again perfect for me, but people who have asbestos mouths might prefer it hotter.

Good but drips when pouring
Good froth, clever mechanism. Would be five stars but for poor pouring. Like many fritters, this needs a piece of kitchen towel handy to mop up spills.
Milk heate
This milk foamed/heater works really well. It is big enough to be able to make multiple drinks in one go too.
Brilliant hotter than my Nespresso’s frothe
To replace yet another integral Nespresso frother so recommended by friend and the milk is hotter but it does so much more. It does cold too. It’s great for hot chocolate just much better than a pan!

Does the job well. Slightly disappointed that for such a premium product it doesn’t pour ‘nicely’ in so much as it always dribbles down the side. They could have designed in a slight spout on one side. If not for this would have been 5 stars.

Needs more capacity
Great product, I use it in line with my nespresso machine, warms and whisks milk brilliantly, very frothy just like coffee shops. Downside is can only do enough for 1 cup at a time, annoyingly you have to wait for it to cool before sound a 2nd cup, great for single coffee, not so if you want to make friends one at same time.

I bought this because Dualit also make Hotel Chocolat’s Velvetiser. I had hoped this would word similarly, and it absolutely does. The main differences are 1. Price 2. Functions 3. Whisk size.
1. The Dualit milk frother is ~50. The Velvetiser is ~100.
2. The Dualit milk frother has a warm froth, warm and cool froth setting. The Velvetiser has only the latter two settings.
3. The Dualit milk frother has a finer whisk. The Velvetiser has a more coarse whisk.
The finer whisk means it creates hot, frothy, velvety milk easily. My concern was that it would struggle with hot chocolate flakes, but it operates just as well as the Velvetiser does.
I’ve used this with hot chocolate powder, hot chocolate flakes (not the Hotel Chocolat ones though) and iced coffee powder. It worked excellently with all three, though I would recommend (in line with Dualit) you don’t use it with hot chocolate powder just because this is laden with sugar, and can cause burning. Chocolate flakes are the way to go! I would recommend the warm milk setting for hot chocolate.
I’ve also used to froth plant milks as well as cows milks, and it froths them all well for use in coffee (I used the barista versions of oat, rice and coconut milk, I used ordinary soy milk).
It heats the milk to the perfect temperature, and holds enough frothy milk for two coffees. It is very very quiet – far more so than I was expecting; it’s far far quieter than the coffee machine or kettle. It’s also very easy to clean. I put in cold water after I’ve used it to the max line with a drop of washing up liquid, and set it to go on the warm setting; it effectively cleans itself.
Overall I would recommend, and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again.

Good quality and froth
I like it and I use with plant based milks. It is the only one that actually froths the plant based milk. And it is even better if you can find barista or professional milk, then you can have great super fluffy foam over your drink.
brilliant frothe
Love this frother. Had this to replace the last one exactly same model as had had it for many years and it stopped working. Great for lattes, cappuccinos and milk shakes. Doesn’t have a pouring spout but it doesn’t need one in my opinion.
So far, so good. Having read a few of the negative reviews regarding product quality I was a little concerned. But, as it has a 12 month guarantee, and I’ve had no trouble returning stuff to Amazon, I decided it was worth giving it a go anyway. Glad I did. It makes excellent warm milk for a latte, and superb foam for a cappuccino. It is easy to clean and heats up quick. Its better than the previous electric milk frother that I had, which had given up after four years use, and better than the Nespresso Aeroccino that I have at work.
The instructions say to use low fat milk where possible, as they say this gives a better foam. I previously believed that full fat milk was better for foaming, but have now used all types of milk and would agree that the low fat milk is the best for a tight, firm, foam. It still works OK with semi and full milk though, and if using the warming rather than frothing setting, I doubt you’d notice any difference (other than in your waistline!).
The only negative is that it can drip when you pour. If pouring all the milk out in one cup its fine, however if you pour a little milk out then return the jug to upright (to mix your hot chocolate powder before filling with milk completely, or if sharing the milk between multiple cups, for example), it can dribble down the side. Not a major issue, just needs care when pouring.
It looks smart (well, as smart as a milk frother can be!) and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality, easy to use, milk frother.

Buy it!! I had the standard nespresso milk heater and frother. But this is another level. I make gorgeous creamy froth by using whole milk. I like my coffee/milk quite hot so put in microwave when poured into mug for 15 seconds after. You will not be disappointed! I am a big coffee lover and used to spend a fortune at coffee shops. I still go go but massively cut down because of this. Make one and stick it in a takeaway cup and you won’t know the difference!

If these rules aren’t followed then the thing won’t work properly and the magnetic operation of the whisk will be compromised. Eventually however, the Teflon will wear out and a new unit purchased.

Blending milk sometimes is great other times not, not sure why maybe depends on the milk.
To clean you still need a sponge, as some milk gets stuck to it, but is not much.

This is a fab product. The milk froth is great. Really excellent. Hint – remove as soon as it’s finished frothing and pour into cup otherwise it sticks in the dualit and is hard to remove without using a spoon.

I got it for my mum as a Christmas present and she absolutely loves it.
The milk froths really well and it’s pretty easy to clean: there’s just the lid, the frother (a halo shaped bit of plastic) and the jug.
It could do with a mark for the level of milk although that hasn’t been a problem.

My parents bought this machine a few years ago and we were all OBSESSED with it! They bought me my own as a house warming gift once I’d moved out and honestly it’s my favourite gadget in the house. All three settings are super handy (the cold froth is my favourite because it takes homemade iced coffees to another level). It’s super easy to use and almost as easy to clean. My parents one is still going strong several years later as well so they’re clearly very durable! All round MUST BUY.
Save your money and buy one of these instead of a velvetiser.
So after seeing my sisters velvetiser by hotel chocolate I thought I would like one. However was not going to pay 100 for one.
So after a bit of investigating I discovered the velvetiser is made by dualit.
Well this is pretty much exactly the same but in my opinion better.
You can still do the hot chocolate in it exactly the same as the velvetiser with the hotel chocolate sachets. But what gives this the edge over the velvetiser is the fact you can also do cold frothed milk in so you can make milkshakes as well. But on top of that it’s half the price of the velvetiser.
I for one and my wife are very happy with it.

Perfectly frothed soya milk!
This works amazingly well. Perfectly frothed milk for cappuccino, hot chocolate, milk shake etc. Same excellent results hot or cold. I use mainly standard supermarket soya milk but have tried some other plant milk too, with very good results. Would recommend!!!

I’m not sure why they didn’t add a spout, as I did have a few times where it drips down the side when pouring. But it seems you just have to go for it and not slowly pour and it’s fine.
Good for small milk drinks
So far absolutely no problems with a neat design and simple function, the whisk elements is magnetic and removable which is convenient for cleaning. Only problem is that the frother does not take that much milk at a time and you may therefore have to do do several heat ups for multiple drinks at a time something that is difficult because the machine needs to cool down between uses. Apart from that perfect!

This one is a lot easier to clean but was confused as the video appears to indicate you remove the inside to clean and you don’t. Have to make sure you don’t get the bottom wet when cleaning. The frother gadget is magnetic so cant really lose it. Good with full fat milk, makes a lot of frooth

Was a gift for my grandmother, she is very happy with it. I have one that came with my Nespresso and this seems better and with a larger capacity than mine.
Nice frother. Seemed to need a couple of uses before getting hot milk at a decent temperature. Good froth though. Milk could be slightly warmer but no worse than many high street outlets. Only enough volume for one mug at a time.
Great product works well
We bought this to speed up pur Oat Mil Frothing for coffee and London Fogs. We were using our old steamer but this was temperamental and very heavy on the coffee machine. Best decision we ever made at work, this is fast, reliable and stems/ froths the milk very well. Have used 4 or 5 times daily now for weeks.
Makes excellent hot chocolate
I bought it to make a hot chocolate and it certainly makes a good hot chocolate. I buy chocolate flakes for my hot chocolate, and it does melt them really well.

I bought this after my third aeroccino from nespresso died on me. It holds enough milk for two lattes unlike the aeroccino.
It’s easy to clean and milk doesn’t burn on the bottom unlike the aeroccino does.

First one stopped working outside the warranty, second one had to be replaced because the non stick surface started rusting, and my present one is heading the same way after 18 months. It is cleaned after every use but be careful what you clean it with, sometimes if you are making half a dozen drinks often the case when we have visitors cleaning is much harder and that’s when the damage is done using even a soft scourer. Non stick basis applies. If you want longevity only use a sponge. Note to self!

I’ve tried a few different frothers that did an ok job but this one is perfect. It heats and frothes enough milk for 2 coffees, the milk is nice and hot and the froth is a really creamy texture and its really easy to clean after use.I’d definitely recommend spending a few pounds more and getting the Dualit Milk Frother.
Perfect milk heater.
I virtually never write reviews but was galvanised to write one for this milk heater.
I’ve tried 3 others and I can say this one is EASILY the best. Different to the others out there. Stirrer completely detaches, held in place by only a magnetic base. Super easy to clean , usually only rinsing in water will get out all residue. Others I have tried the stirrer remain in situ and the milk sticks to the base making them a pain to clean. The most this has needed to clean is a quick wipe with a soft cloth. Great design. Had it 3 months, works perfectly, milk is just right temperature.

Perfect milk heater.
I virtually never write reviews but was galvanised to write one for this milk heater.
I’ve tried 3 others and I can say this one is EASILY the best. Different to the others out there. Stirrer completely detaches, held in place by only a magnetic base. Super easy to clean , usually only rinsing in water will get out all residue. Others I have tried the stirrer remain in situ and the milk sticks to the base making them a pain to clean. The most this has needed to clean is a quick wipe with a soft cloth. Great design. Had it 3 months, works perfectly, milk is just right temperature.

Was given one two years ago and it’s brilliant at frothing milk. Use it almost daily. Easy to use and easy to keep clean. If it broke I would replace it with another immediately.
Beautiful hot froth. Perfect for Latte.
This is excellent. After reading reviews i was worried about the froth not being hot enough. This produces a delicious silky froth, and it is nice and hot. Perfect for latte. Highly recommend.
Excellent produc
Having used a nespresso aeroccino at work I bought this as a cheaper alternative. Excellent product. Easy to clean and does what it says it will do. Saves steaming milk for lattees/cappuccinos at home.
Coffee with a difference
Excellent product. I’m really pleased with my milk frother and it is in constant use. For lovely frothy milk just make sure you pour the milk straightaway after the red light has gone out. Very easy to clean under the tap. A highly recommended kitchen appliance.
Cappuccino heave
This is exactly what I wanted. I have only used the hot frother option for my coffee. It is excellent. I have found no negatives. Cleaning the product is easy if you do it soon afterwards.
