Stop wasting your money on anything else, this is the real thing!
Simply the best dehumidifier I’ve ever used, or seen for that matter. It works very well, very fast, heats your room and has a large water tray. The best part is it actually works in winter conditions, which is when I need a dehumidifier to dry my cloths indoors. Every other product on this site, doesn’t actually mention that they do not function under a certain ambient temperature, this one has no such concerns, it always works and I never feel like I’m wasting the energy. Absolutely worth the investment!

Perfect for apartment with cats that can't have open Windows
Did its job perfectly. Reduced moisture in the house considerably. Only cost a few extra euro on my bill to run too. Easy to empty the tank and it even heats the room too. 10/10 recommend i

    Marvellous and effective.
This Eco-air works to good affect. Certainly draws the dampness into the tank. And it actually increases the air temperature by a few degrees despite the cold house it occupies. I would say it is fairly quiet in operation and not too intrusive.

This is a great little machine.
I looked at loads of different makes and models in different shops and decided that a desiccant dehumidifier was the best for my cold, single story house in the far north of Scotland.

I have black mould starting on my bathroom ceiling and things that are stored in cupboards or near outside walls get mould growth. My budget was limited so I opted for this model. There are cheaper ones but they’re not desiccant.

Setting it up was simple and after reading the instructions I put it in my hall to start. I put it onto the highest setting with all the doors open. I was amazed at the amount of water in the tank after just a couple of hours. I then put it in each room to do it’s magic. I have a thermometer with a humidity gauge (it cost less than 10 from Amazon). It’s good to know what the level is.

I now have this machine running most of the day on medium economy mode and switch it off at night. As soon as we’re up and showered I put it on and let it do it’s thing. I’ve hardly had to put the heating on, the house is definitely warmer. As far as how heavy it is on electric usage, I have a prepayment electric meter and I haven’t noticed any increase.

The only negative thing I will say is that when it’s running on the turbo setting, there is a smell comes from it. It kind of smells like a gas. The booklet says it is zeolite desiccant material that absorbs odours. It’s not harmful and will not last long. I don’t notice it at all when it’s on economy mode and that is more than efficient for my needs. I’d only put it on turbo for drying a very steamy bathroom or if I had a lot of laundry to dry.

I wish I had got one of these years ago. I plan on looking after it and hoping it will last me for years to come.

    Light and compac
If you want to move this between rooms, it is super light and a good compact size.
I live in a 5 storey solid stone house in a damp valley. We can’t put extractors in as it’s a grade 2 listed building. We have bathrooms on 3 different floors and condensation on single glazed windows nearly every day in the winter.
This machine is a powerful unit. I can put it on for 2 hours after a shower in an en-suite bedroom (about 12×19 feet total) and the humidity dropped from 83-55%. I bought some thermpro humidity readers- relatively cheap and super useful and accurate at showing how damp a room is. So, if it tells you it’s damp in one room, you can carry the dehumidifier to where it’s needed.
I like that it has a hose outlet and hose included if ever we are out /away and want it on the constant mode.
Would be excellent for laundry in a small room. Really useful if you don’t want the hassle of emptying it. I might buy another one for another problem bedroom but right now, it’s really easy to lift and move around the home.
I also bought a Meaco Arte at the same time for a laundry room. Much bigger 25l heavy duty powerhouse. But this is a very damp room with tumble dryer, a lot of laundry hanging and a steam generator iron going up to 10 hrs a week. It doesn’t need to move.
I really researched my needs; this one is perfect for smaller properties and small utility rooms for drying laundry or, if like me, you want to use it in specific rooms and move it around. Large ones are VERY heavy.
I have another older XDry whose tank spills on getting it out. This little one is great- can put on carpet, won’t spill. Very solid, high quality construction. Easy sliding tank- no jerky slopping of water. Great choice of programmes and very easy to understand dashboard so you won’t have to pull out the instruction manual all the time.
The only things I don’t like are that it’s quite noisy- although a constant hush/ white noise. I couldn’t sleep with it in the room or watch tv comfortably- but I only use it on the high mode.
I know from other models that it’s energy usage isn’t the best so I dropped star for that- but – it is extremely quick at extracting moisture for its size so cost wise, you save from that.
    Extremely happy with it.

    A very effective dehumidifier!
A really excellent product. Even on the eco setting, it is really effective. I needed to remove some residual damp following some damp prodding works and it has done the trick. Highly recommended.

    Brilliant uni
It works a dream. It’s fast and efficient. It removes moisture quickly and reliably. It works so well I find I have to remember we have it as in the last one took so long to dry the bathroom we had to leave it on for a day. This unit does the Kobe in 90 minutes. I/ we totally recommend it. Just place your settings as you like and then forget you have it it works so well. Just get used to emptying it more often the storage tank is large

    Great all purpose and compac
I love my compact dehumidifier. Wish I’d bought one years ago . So many uses in my life at the moment. Drying washing, dry out floor boards after my bath overflowed, drying out the toilet at my business where the toilet had been leaking for years. Highly recommend!

    Working well so far.
Bought this (together with a digital hygrometer) for a ca. 4m x 4m cold conservatory whose wooden laminate floor panels warp every winter. Used it on the eco & 8 hour timer settings every night, and also for a couple of hours at a time during the day if the humidity approached 58-60% as read by the hygrometer. After a fortnight the warping is greatly reduced & is now hardly noticeable. Only had it for the fortnight so can’t offer an opinion as to it’s robustness, but very happy with it’s performance so far.

    Power house!
I’ve had a fair bit of experience with domestic dehumidifiers and I must say, this one surprised me. I almost bought a compressor dehumidifier, but tried one first in my cold garage, it shut off as it was too cold and didn’t produce anything for the time it was on. So, I tried this desiccant Eco air DD1 and my goodness, it’s the best performer I’ve seen!
I’ve had DeLongi expensive models in excess of 300 that can’t live up to this little work horse.
Put on full it filled the tray in a few hours. Put on low I can leave it 24 hours and just about need to empty it. It’s a belting piece of kit. It’s winter at the moment and my garage backs onto the kitchen so it does get humid in there, but this sorts it out great. Only had it about a week, and very happy so far.

    Running great 4 years later!
Bought this thing Jan 2018. Keeps flat (now house) dry and warm! Once its been running for a little while, the exhaust air warms up a little which is a bonus.

I empty the tray 1-2 times per day so it really does draw out 7 or so litres of water out of the air. Dries laundry vary quickly too if left in a small room/ bathroom.

Haven’t figured out how to connect the hose yet.

Really happy with it and no issues as described in other reviews.

    Just what my conservatory needed
Does the job that it was purchased for in my conservatory. Quiet and easy to use. My only gripe is when it comes to emptying the water tray it is quite difficult to pull the draw out and I end up spilling some water on my floor. But I consider it a good dehumidifier and am pleased with my purchase.

Works hard for such a small uni
I’m impressed by how much moisture this unit takes out of the air in such a short time. Purchased to leave in my hallway which is the central point of my home. It’s a little bit noisy – you would certainly notice it was on if you were in the same room as it was situated. I’m sure it is much more efficient than the old condenser unit I have which has twice the footprint – but is commensurately much quieter. I would thoroughly recommend this one – if it lasts the 2 years it is warrantied for I will be well pleased.

    A FIVE STAR CHOICE
Did a lot of research before making the purchase and this EcoAir Desiccant model meets our needs perfectly. It is compact and light in weight, so is very manoeuvrable, making it ideal for carrying up and down stairs.
We purchased the dehumidifier primarily to dry our laundry in the winter and it does this very efficiently.
Too early to comment on energy efficiency, but has not made meaningful changes to our smart meter readings in the first week.
Have given noise level 4 stars as very acceptable to us and, as my wife says, it does its job!

    Great dehumidifie
I had a big problem with humidity as rooms reached 85%RH. One of my children and me are asthmatic. We became truly sick due to mould etc. I took time to chose a dehumidifier especially because of the price and running cost. I believe I made the right choice. At first I had to let it run during the day, everyday for a bit more than a week. I believe that humidity was being drawn out slowly from the atmosphere first then from the rest.

After that time looking at the humidity meter I started to run it less often. Today after more than a month of use, I only run it when the humidity goes over 55%. That’s what we are comfortable with. I run it for 6 hours every 4-5 days. I also run it to dry the laundry no more than 4 hours at a time. All in all I think the running cost is very reasonable, especially since it blows warm air.

My only disappointment is that if you do not have a humidity meter, you would be running the device even if you do not need it. I do not get why there isn’t one in the machine.

All in all i am happy with my purchase.

    good choice, beware the smell
i have a 2 bed home, with double glazing. however finding regularly that my windows have condensation on them.
i also hang my clothes on the clothes horse indoors, however the condensation on the windows is not specifically limited to the room the clothes are in.. its regularly on all the windows around the house.
First thing i did was to get humidity and temperature device to place around the house (see pic) and i have to say this has really helped me.
ive noticed that humidity levels drop whilst the heating is on(this might have been obvious, but i needed to see it to really understand my home)
After reading about the compressor and desiccant type of dehumidifiers, i decided to purchase the desiccant, in pink because my home often sits around 13 degrees, which i find cold( maybe because its at the gable end)
the dehumidifier it is not bad looking
i like that there are no “feet” that could break
i like that it has a handle to lift and move around
i have problems with my hands, but this is still ok to lift, not too heavy
the water tray is also really good .. it has a lid and handle
heat comes out the pink vent at the top into the room as the dehumidifier is running which was really good.

the one and only issue i have is that i feel there is a smell that is released from the dehumidifier and it gives me a headache.
even after its been switched off, i can smell that smell in the air in that room.
so thats the only thing i would say put me off using this as regularly as i might.
oh, and one more thing, i would not recommend that you sit in the same room as this when its on, as i felt ill a few days after, with a dry throat(you might think that ive had it on too long, but humidity levels were still in range so i think it can dry you out if you have it on i your space)
finally, even though it does not make slot of noise on the economy level, i could still hear it and i couldnt sleep it must have been a new sound to my ears which is why i couldnt relax when i was in bed as i could hear the murmur
that said, ive had it on almost 12hrs in some rooms and ive not had to put it on again

so i can see this being something i do as i see the humifity levels jumping to 60% and not before

    Certainly does the job!
I’ve previously had a small dehumidifier to help with our outside concrete panelled shed during the winter where we have freezers it struggled and many times froze up so accepting my mistake I looked for something more suitable for this winter and in particular would work at low temperatures, and bought this model and have to say it does the job the “tank” holds 2.2lts and although I’ve only set it on roughly half power as it has several settings to suit environment have to empty the “tank” every 2-3 days, it doesn’t run all the time it cuts in when it senses the need and it certainly has made a big difference. It is portable and suitable to use in house for example if you are drying washing indoors during wet weather which absorbs and helps with damp washing. Yes very pleased maybe paid a little more than anticipated but when it does the job is the key factor.

It’s a little noisy, the sound of air blowing but not too bad. It’s a condenser so works even in very cold temperatures. Easy to empty but can splash a little bit if the tank is full. Has a carrying handle and easy to carry, not too heavy. Works very efficiently, really helps get rid of humidity especially if drying clothes indoors. I have two of these for different spaces and would definitely recommend. Can’t really comment on energy efficiency but think it’s ok.

    Great little worke
This humidifier is fantastic. Does the job great, I used it in bedroom, on med-settings and low-power mode and it makes massive difference in my 15m2 bedroom: humidity from above 70% most nights was down to ideal 50% with it running.

It’s quite audible which worried me at first, but the hum it makes is quite pleasant after a short while and I’m pretty sure it helped me fall asleep 🙂

In the morning not a sign of condensation on the windows, despite the fact that temperature dropped rapidly overnight, so I am really happy. Creates a little heat as it works, won’t replace central heating but it does give a nice warm hug on a cold night. Over night collected about 1 l of water in the tank.

I’ve chosen this SIMPLE model of DD1 over CLASSIC, as it’s the only one that can be controlled with smart plug (doesn’t need additional “on” button to be pushed, like most humidifiers) so there’s potential to schedule its operation or even allow smart home to control it to a greater degree than build-in dial.

Bought this in 2015 it’s still going strong. It leaked a bit within 6 months, I sent it for repairs, they sent it back saying it was repaired. Still leaked a bit, I use it with a tray underneath, it works beautifully. Sometimes it leaks sometimes it doesn’t. Dries laundry like nothing else, cheap to use, it does not crank up the electric bill too much, doubles the efficiency of the central heating, has taken the edge off winters in northern England for real. Nifty robot.

Its made in China but says designed and engineered in UK and that shows, smart appearance with rounded corners, folding handle for easy carrying, comprehensive and easy to use control panel and heaven of heaven instructions that can actually be understood without a knowledge of how Chinese is constructed (given they seem to follow the same inscrutable principles in English translations). We do not use a tumble dryer and heated airers seem fragile. This will dry a rack of clothes from the washing machine in 2 – 3 hours. Brings a medium size kitchen humidity down from 68 to 62 whilst drying the clothes. Quiet an removes a surprising amount of moisture. Puts out some warm air so if you were drying a cold damp room or a shed or garage it will dry and warm. Thoroughly recommend.

I bought the original classic one 9 years ago it’s still running but much less efficient my son bought one 5 years ago which is still going strong. This is the Classic Mk5 version and it’s great, quiet efficient and has even more functions including an ioniser and moving top blade, timer and an eco setting. I’m really pleased with it and feel it will be as reliable as my old one and would recommend it. I’ve always used the desiccant type dehumidifier as I believe they are more efficient and can be used in a wider variety of setting plus in winter the warm air helps boost the heating so helping to overall reduce costs. In fact lower humidity is easier to heat so this obviously helps during winter as well.

My first decedent dehumidifier, and I like it. It works quickly so it doesn’t bother me in my office for too long. It does smell a bit, from time to time, but an air purifier takes that away pretty quickly, and which I want as using the dehumidifier i keep doors and windows closed. It’s also a lot quieter than the ‘fridgerant’ dehumidifiers, and I’ve used the tube it came with to drain automatically outside. Lastly, having the humidity down means I’m not so cold, so hopefully the cost of running it balances a bit with reduced need for heating. (good for clothes drying too)

After having used an ‘older’ style compressor dehumidifier for many years and after it conked out I decided it’s time for an upgrade.

First off it is much lighter than older style dehumidifiers making it perfect for lugging around where you need it and not have to leave it to settle for an hour or so so big points scored there.

Secondly, quiet. Very quiet. I know people here complain it is too loud but bear in mind it is running two separate fans in that unit and that will generate noise. I can easily sleep through it on any setting but I am not opposed to white noise at night if there is external noise I want to drown out.

Thirdly, drying time. Putting it to the test on a damp wet day, I hung 3 washing loads up in the bedroom, put it on laundry and left it to it. In 4 hours the bucket filled up and needed emptying which is a breeze to do and in that time I’d say most clothes were around 75-80% dry, so left it running for another few hours and came back to dry clothes (and warm, filtered, ionized air).

All-in-all, for the price I’d say it’s a good machine. It does what you need it to although I’m yet to experience the wet carpet I read so much about on here…

It does use more electricity than a conventional dehumidifier although for me, where it uses a heater to dry the dessicant wheel, I will utilise that energy in winter time and leave it running during the day I think and that’ll hopefully negate the need to use the dreaded storage heater in the living room.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSolid piece of ki
Took ages to decide on a dehumidifier – as most of us probably do – it is very well made and appears [so far] to be very sturdy. Definitely a good quality product. I bought it to keep the humidity at a safe level for my piano – and the amount of water extracted in just a few days has given us enough de-ionised water for the iron, and, when the colder weather arrives, to use in the humidifier. There are 2, 4, and 8 hr settings, or you can just leave it on. It does not indicate what the humidity levels are, so I have a small humidistat in the room too. On auto it took the recent very high humidity down from a whopping 67% into the low 50’s within forty minutes and when I simply left it on, the humidity dropped to 45%. So I would say it works very well. I have only had it for a couple of weeks so we’ll see how things go. NB: whilst it sorts out the humidity, it does raise the temp of the room it is in, and I hadn’t hoisted that in when I read the various reviews – so last night, it had dropped the humidity but raised the room temp to 27deg which wasn’t great [but only 4deg higher than in the house – so if you want air conditioning, this is definitely not what you are after. It does what it says on the label, and it does it very well indeed. I have rated it four stars for energy although I have no real way of telling….. but it is noisier than I had anticipated hence the 3 stars for noise – but don’t be put off – I suspect my definition of ‘noise’ when I’m playing the piano over it, is not the machines fault, but mine. And let’s face it, I’ve got nothing to compare it with which is always the problem when we are buying online. On laundry setting, it finished off the washing last night brilliantly so I reckon it will be a godsend in the colder weather when we have to hang stuff up in the utility regularly. Hope this helps your decision.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSolid piece of ki
Efficient, quiet inexpensive to use.
I am very happy with this quiet, efficient dehumidifier. It is light weight, easy to operate, easy to empty and keep the filter clean. The water tray has a sensible plastic cover to prevent spills as you pull it out to empty. I have had several dehumidifiers over the years, this one actually is quiet enough to leave on overnight. I use it to dry washing as well as general use in damper rooms in our flat. It’s cheap to use and made no noticeable change to our electric bill.

Great product that can help with damp in the house (or cabin)
I bought this for the cabin as I was working from there through the winter. Due to my own poor DIY work I had some damp on the roof which this helped dry up well. As this is a dessicant dehumidifier it will work at low temperatures as well. Thinking of getting one for the caravan we own as well. We have an older version for the house and this has helped sort out then damp we used to have and also helps get the washing dried a lot quicker as well. Can’t fault it at all

    Great little machine
Plugged it in and off it went. It doesn’t have a visible humidity meter so I bought a small one. Really useful. Machine has an auto where it turns itself on and off when it hits the correct humidity, but being able to see the numbers give a lot of control. Useful drying clothes function as have to dry inside. They dry much quicker and no condensation on the windows. Haven’t scored energy efficient as haven’t seen electric bill yet.
It is quite noisy, can talk above it but would probably take important or zoom calls in another room

Efficient compact device with good features
Works more efficiently and more quietly than my old dehumidifier, with more features and settings. Switches itself off when it reaches a set point of relative humidity, which is a nice feature I haven’t seen before on devices in this price range. Reasonably quiet too, though I don’t think I’d want it on in a room I was trying to sleep in. Removing the water tank is a bit fiddly, and this is the first time I’ve come across a tank that’s longer than it is tall (it’s a bit like a toolbox sort of shaped unit) and you have to be gentle and steady to remove it from the body, but that seems to be a universal issue with dehumidifiers, so I’m not going to grumble. Good purchase, fine bit of tech.

    Works as promised
The Which? magazine said this dehumidifier was a little noisier than some, but we’ve not noticed that at all. The level does increase a bit when you select the turbo function, but you have to balance that with the results – first class! We used this to dry out our porch whose roof leaked. Humidity was 76% to start with but just 27% after 1 hour. Roofers still not come to fix leak so when it rains we use the lower setting for a couple of hours. The noise level is just a hum and the humidity again drops right down. I’m amazed with the amount of water it collects and overall quite impressed with the results. (I’ve no way of assessing its efficiency so left that selection blank.)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe best for the money
I purchased this model over 10 years ago for my static caravan, still using it today. When my mum needed a dehumidifier for her walk-in loft space I recommended this one and purchased it for her.
The fact that it is a desiccant it can raise the room temperature up between 5-10 degrees, just brilliant.
Having many years experience of using dehumidifiers it’s certainly the best for the money. I would highly recommend it.

The best compact dehumidifier without questio
I don’t normally bother with reviews but this product is definately worth the effort. I bought one of these about 5 years ago because my boat was leaking water through its windows. It dried it out in one night completely. I loaned it to a friend years later and it got damaged. I recently had a damp issue at work so decided to buy a more expensive British made model, expecting it to be better than my Ecoair. After being left on all night it had collected only a quarter of a tank from a really damp room. I boxed it up and returned it to my local tool store! In the end after trying (3) different types of dehumidifier I went online and bought one of these again. It’s quiet, simple to use and will fill a tank in less than half a day. No question in my mind it’s the best by a mile.

A really good dehumidifier – but it will last you between 2.5 – 5 years (if you are lucky).
We have had this machine for over 4 years.
After 2.5 years, it started to leak a lot of water – it turns out the machine was really dusty inside (despite cleaning the filter every week). I dismantled the unit and gave it a good clean from the inside. It worked for the next 1.5 years without any further leaks but today, it finally stopped blowing hot air, which makes it unusable as it is an essential process for this thing to work.
Based on the other reviews, this machine has a lifespan between 2.5 years and 5 years. I think I think I will buy it again because it has been very good purchase (c.35 per year for us and it’s works extremely well in drying our laundry). Why can’t they make machines that last a lifetime?

    Great little machine
After reading mixed reviews on many different dehumidifier we decided to go for the Ecoair DD1 classic. I have not been dissapointed with our choice. The instructions were easy to follow and we had it up and running in no time. We needed a dehumidifier for our loft space after having a new roof fitted and it has dried it out with ease. For a small machine it has handled our loft size with no problems (3 bed semi). Had doubts when ordering but glad we made the choice we did. The noise level is not that bad we can hear a hum from the landing which isn’t annoying in anyway however if you had it in the same room it would sound similar to having a fan on which to me is bearable.

    Good all-rounder. Amazing!
This is an amazing machine, very quiet with a modern design. I had one which I used for 7 years. It finally gave up on me and I bought another without hesitation.

I had it to help solve a problem of mould in the kitchen and window condensation. I was really surprised that it improved in a short period of time, leaving the door and window dry and free of condensation. Superb for drying clothes as well. If I have a full wash put out to dry on a clothes drying rack at night, they are ready for ironing or straight to the wardrobe in the morning.

I noticed that this product also helps maintain room temperature balance. All round – great to have. Great customer service as well.

Warning - continuous drainage function just doesn't work!
Bought this unit for a garage which is partially subterranean and suffers with condensation. We had previously used a compressor based unit, but it struggled to work in low temperatures. This desiccant based unit works well in low temperatures (1-5C), but has a fundamental flaw, in that the continuous drainage hose function just doesn’t work. I’ve tried two different units and not matter how carefully I fit and position the drainage hose the water just collects in the internal tank. Given the high level of humidity in the garage, this means that I’m having to empty the tank 2-3 times a day – simply not practical. So, if you want to use it in the house with the internal tank then go for it – it’ll work well. If you want a “fit and forget” unit that will just tick over in a garage, caravan or boat with continuous drainage then forget it – this isn’t for you.

    Excellent product!
Rreally amazed at amount of water this pulls out of the air.
We have had a damp issue in the bedroom for a while which has gotten worse due to working from home (wife uses living room, so I have to use the damp bedroom). We had been doing a poor job of managing the issue with other dehumidifiers pre Cvd19/lockdowns but when we had to start working from home the damp problem got much worse. So I did a bit of research which showed this type of dehumidifier was significantly better than cheaper versions. But it’s worth it
Have used far cheaper dehumidifiers in the past, but this one collects 2litres in 14 hours where cheaper versions barely manage that in a week.
It isn’t silent, but it’s only about the same noise level as air conditioning unit when it’s running on economy mode ( level I usually run it on). Took a couple of days to get settings right, but now working perfectly. Automatically runs through the day and pulls enough condensation out of the air to not have to run through the night.
After clearing up mould, and painting anti mould paint on problem areas and then installing the kit the room has been clear of mould and damp on the walls for over a month. No sign of mould recurring (which it always did previously no matter how much paint I used)

EcoAir Desiccant Dehumidifer DD122 FW Simple-7L
I love everything about this Dehumidifier. It does exactly what it says. It is amazing the way it draws up all the moisture, from the rooms and my damp clothes. It is attractive, and easy to carry it around the house, on a cold, snowy, windy day, instead of opening the window during a long, leisurely hot bath, it works wonders in my bathroom, no moisture on the tiles on the walls, on the mirror or on the window pane. I highly recommend this produc

    Would I buy another? Yes.
Bought this item about 6 weeks ago and so far so good.
It works realy well and I have to empty it about 2 daily. You could use the drain tube if the item was kept in one place but I like to move it around the house.
Its not light and its not quiet but its not too heavy to easily move and not too loud on low speed to have in the bedroom and still get a good night’s sleep.
I have no issues with the blue illumination on the side and its not distracting for me.
The additional heat it gives of in use I feel offsets some of the running cost as it takes the chill out of any room.
    Would I buy another? Yes.
