Yes it keeps squirrels out, easy to refill and robust cage
Quality cage, heavy and detachable handle would improve it however good produc
Looks and feels pretty sturdy.
It’s early day yet but looks and feels good quality.
Very Sturdy Piece of Ki
Certainly very sturdy. Will it keep the squirrels out all year? One can only hope, but this is the best design I’ve seen so far.
This is a very well made produc
The only downside to this product is it limits the size of birds who can feed from it. Blue tits and sparrows are fine but larger birds such as green finches they can’t get near the seed.
Always buy these
Bought this to replace one I had had for a long time. They are durable and keep the squirrels ou
It works
feeding the birds, the tops are a bit fiddley and you have to makes the are both securely fastened the right way (first time round when I picked it up it fell on my foot) but once you get the hang of it the actual product is brilliant, completely baffled the squirrels and they have,nt worked out how to get round it which saves me forever chasing them down the garde
No birds yet!
This looks like a nice bird feeder. just a couple of ‘ buts’. The top is quite hard to take on and off when hanging and no birds have eaten from it yet – after several weeks.

Disappointed Squirrels
Well constructed and keeps the ruddy squirrels out of the food.
Only slight downside is it is a bit fiddly when refilling (you need 3 hands) but overall a very sturdy and rodent proof bird feeder.
Birds can easily get to seed or nuts
It can be very difficult to remove the large cover which holds the seed holder but it will probably get easier with practice. Birds do get used to feeding from this item after a few days. Squirrels are kept away from the feed.
Does the job.
I have 4 squirrels visiting my garden this year for the first time ever, and have wanted to encourage them BUT thay had chewed and broken so many birdfeeders, that I had to take action. This absolutely does the job. Small birds took a few days to approach it, but they are back eating now. Squirrels have tried climbing on branches to get to it, but with no success, so they have given up, and settling for their own food. Absolutely delighted with this purchase.

Cleanliness
Easy to dismantle for cleaning.
Holes too small for larger birds and squirrels
Sturdy
Definitely Squirrel Proof
Great product. Have had the peanut feeder for a few years and it definitely is squirrel proof. Seems well made and looks easy to clean. Have had Bullfinch, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Coal Tits and Siskins visiting it so far.
Love it as do the tits.
Encouragingly sturdy and feels like a good piece of kit. It can be difficult to open the cover to access the seed tube but it does open eventually. Take care to be certain the unit is correctly assembled before filling and hanging and that the lugs on the lid are properly located. I have only seen Blue, Great and Coal Tits visiting so far but that may be more to do with location (third floor wall in Putney.)

Excellent produc
Really happy with the product. Lid is a bit fiddly, but water tight and squirrel proof. Need some strenghth in the fingers to open anf close. Great to see the little birds getting their fair share of the bird seed. Delivered on time… can fully recommend.
Definitely Squirrel Proof.
This squirrel proof feeder may be more expensive that some you can buy in the shops but it is much better quality, it is metal with a nice light brown/tan finish. We bought it to stop the squirrels eating all the sunflower seeds, it has definitely worked so far, we have had squirrels climbing all over it to gain access but without success. Some birds were a bit wary at first but they soon managed to get in and out through the mesh. We have even had Robins feeding from it. I don’t write many reviews bu I would recommend this feeder.
A great Item.
It’s been a great success for me with attracting birds to my garden. Sparrows, robins, blue tits in particular, and blackbirds, starlings and doves to pick up the bits that fall. It took about 4 weeks or so till the birds really got used to it, but from then on the bird numbers in my garden have only grown. I even saw a black cap near the feeder today for the first time ever. I would definitely recommend it. It’s easy to clean, easy to fill, and above all keeps the bird food dry. I am thinking of getting another one. 100% brilliant product and well designed.

Keeps the starlings at bay
Brilliant birdfeeder. It keeps not only the larger birds and squirrels from raiding the seed but also the Starlings. Would certainly recommend this to anyone.
Certainly squirrel proof!
Well constructed bird feeder which will be a major challenge to an squirrel.
Bird Seed feede
It looks very sturdy and well made the only issue I had is with the lid’s and the locking mechanism, be warned it is not easy as you have 2 parts to the lid to lock and aline and twist . I could not rate it regarding cleaning the feeder as only recived it today. It looks squirrel proof I will find out tomorrow.

Good and bad
Ok, The good points about this birdfeeder are, it’s sturdy, well made, and it’s definitely squirrel proof. I have a resident squirrel, and for the last few weeks he has been trying every day, on and off all day to try and get into this birdfeeder, and he’s given up. He has now taken to sitting on top of the fence just above where the feeder is positioned, staring at it twitching his tail as if it’s going to miraculously open. I don’t know if the squirrel thinks he’s Uri Geller, but those bars are not going to bend no matter how much he stares at them! The birds have got used to the cage, and today I have seen a robin, sparrows, bluetits, greattits, and coaltits all flitting in and out with ease. The blackbirds, starlings, and pigeons are all too big to get through the cage, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I can feed those separately if I wish. Now for the bad part. Like others have mentioned, the top of the feeder is ridiculous. It twists and releases too easily, and the same as the top bit that you take off to refill the feeder.
It twists off too easily, I tried it for an hour, and I found that on a windy day the feeder moves around and twist its self apart, so the entire bottom cage area just falls on the floor with all the food. So I have secured the top and the smaller top bit with wire, it cannot come apart now, and the squirrels cannot twist it off. I’ve gone on to buy two more of these feeders because they are so squirrel proof, but I really think the manufacturer should look at a better way of securing the tops on, not everybody has got wire to hand to be able to secure these feeders together.

Keeps The Squirrels Away
This is the third I’ve had of this type of feeder, the other two being for peanuts and fat balls respectively. These feeders work in that they keep squirrels, magpies and crows at bay.
sturdy bird feede
brought this feeder because the squirrels have destroyed most of the other ones I have had, had it a few days now seems to be working with the squirrels no problems YET. construction seems solid only minor issue is where the lid slots back on its a little bit flimsy other than that seems fine. the birds started feeding within minutes of me hanging it up so no issues there with the unusual perches hopefully will be squirrel prove for many months
good buy
bird variety
ook the birds a couple of weeks to get used to it but now they use it all the time, and we are getting gold finches and tits which we weren’t before. Great! (and the larger birds cand get at the seed!!)
Keeps starlings away !
I’ve tried loads of different feeders, desperately trying to keep the little birds from being pushed out by the flock of starlings that swoop in and eat everything. This works really well and I’ve watched the little ones coming and going easily, sturdy and well made, the seed doesn’t fall everywhere with the slightest touch either, very pleased and would definitely recommend.
Keeping the starlings away
I very rarely see a squirrel at home but it is doing the job I wanted at keeping the cheeky starlings at bay.
They have in fact given up and don’t go near the feeder anymore. The lids don’t lock tight as much as I would like, opening the smaller top lid often opens the larger bottom lid as well. I always place the feeder
down on a solid flat surface when refilling so as not to accidently drop on to the ground.
squirrel proof
Needed a squirrel proof birdfeeder for sunflower seeds.
Previous feeder was described as squirrel proof-squirrels reached through the mesh and ate the food.
The squirrels gave this a go and gave up.
Note the food falls on the ground from the feeder.
It is easy to dismantle for cleaning-not so easy to reassemble!
It appears to be powder coated steel so should survive a few winters

Ideal for small birds
This is a very sturdy feeder which my goldfinches, tits and nutchatches love as the bigger birds can’t get at the sunflower hearts which I put in it. It’s a little tricky to dismantle and put back after cleaning.
The outer ring is flimsy and had to be adapted
When I put it together I found that the parts which secure the outer ring are flimsy .In addition there is a design fault in that when you turn the inner lid to close it after filling, it unhooks the outer ring and the whole lot comes adrift. I also found that larger birds trying to gain access can dislodge the outer ring and it all drops to the ground. All this was easily fixed by drilling a hole through the rim of the outer ring and inserting a self tapping screw. Now everything is solid and the whole unit works as it should. Perhaps the manufacturer could take note.

Excellent squirrel proof feede
I already have one of these and it has survived three years so far with no sign of wearing out. It is squirrel proof and keeps out the big birds efficiently – they have the bird table. It is not rat proof but bringing it in at night sorts that issue. I tried to buy a second one but it arrived broken and had to be returned. Will buy again when the price is right. Highly recommended.

great and keeps squirrels at bay
Great however the lid can be a bit loose and fall out if not hooked on correctly. brilliant at keeping the squirrels out. They can look but can’t get to the seed. Filled with sunflower seeds and the birds love it, although they did get a bit confused and peck at the seed through the plastic tube but they soon realised.

Bit on the pricey side
Good product, not totally 100 % squirrel proof depending on the size of your squirrel’s, we had a baby squirrel squeeze into the cage but it didn’t do it for long as it got bigger/fatter.
Happy Birds
Good quality product and the squirrel can’t get the seeds . The birds get at the content very easily and hop in and out without hinderance. The squirrels however still visit every day to collect the spillage from the birds from the ground.
Well worth i
After two weeks birds got used to it, now many are regulars. It is squirrel and jackdaw proof and easy to fill.
Vasaline foiled them by smearing Vasaline on the supporting posts.
Squirrel got in by removing the lid twice.
But Vasaline foiled them by smearing Vasaline on the supporting posts.
Now I am amused to see them sliding down the post when they try climbing up them.
Works well.
Works really well and keeps larger birds away from the seeds.
As It Says on the Tin: Squirrel Proof
Best feeder I’ve had and totally squirrel proof, with all parts being metal. If only no could find another one!
It is Squirrel proof!
It is as described – the squirrels don’t get a look in!! Only the smaller birds can feed from it so the magpies and other larger birds dont eat all the nuts. Very good product.
Not quite squirrel proof..
The lid does not fit adequately and a squirrel managed to undo it and dive headfirst into the seed. However, after fitting some wire over the lid and attaching the wire to the frame the squirrel can’t open it. It could do with sturdy clips to hold the lid on tightly. The small birds just love it and we have many more visiting our garden now the jackdaws and pigeons can’t eat all the seed we put out on our conventional bird table. The large birds are now eating any seed that drops down on the grass so everyone is happy.

Gotcha!
Completely foxed the squirrels!! For that I give it the 5 stars. The only weak point is the shoddy clasps. I had to re-jig them both with pliers. BUT it was worth that, just to keep the tree rats way!
Starling proof? Oh yes 👍
Needed some feeding stations for our back garden that did not allow the starlings to demolish the food in three hours!
When first put out, they still came but now have moved to the front garden allowing the smaller birds to eat un peace.
Love the energy and enthusiasm of starlings but they can bully and scare the smaller birds
Good product.
Bought this to stop the starlings scoffing everything!
It arrived promptly, was packaged well.
It’s a little expensive but worth the extra as it’s stronger and better made than a cheaper one I had also purchased.
Liked it so much, I bought a second one.
The smaller birds get their food in peace now.
Great produc
No issues with this, no joy for the squirrels so far!
protect the meek
it keeps out even the starlings so the little song birds eat in peace behind the safety of the bars and the large bird including starlings eat comfortly of the lawn win wi
Well made
Excellent took the wee birds a day to figure it out and then led by our resident robin they flock to it and they can empty it in a matter of hours
Well made and sturdy and keeps the crows away which as we live in the country can be a plague
Stops thieving jackdaws!
Had the bird seed feeder up for 3 days now and I am really pleased with it, keeping the flocks of Jackdaws from robbing the smaller birds which have no problems feeding from it.Also the resident squirrel has departed to easier neighbours feeders. The Gaudman heavy duty feeder is sturdy and well made and money well spent.
Squirrel proof.
It does the job with the squirrels, but Magpies and Blackbirds can still reach in.
We don't have squirrels but have lots of crows
We don’t have squirrels but have lots of crows that eat or spill the seed from ‘normal’ feeders. I had hoped this feeder would prevent the crows eating all the seed before the smaller birds got any. I don’t know if this feeder is squirrel proof, but I do know it doesn’t stop the crows eating all the seed. They just hang on the frame and reach the seed. The saddest part though is that when there are no crows around, our small birds seem too stupid to work out how to reach the seed. I can’t blame the feeder for that! I fixed a couple of protruding canes to give the small birds something to land on, which seemed to help them, until the crows discovered them and seemed grateful that I had made life even easier for them! I have removed the canes now and am waiting to see if the small birds figure it out.
Squirrel Proof!
This feeder has been great so far. It’s only been a couple weeks since we got it but after having 2 broken by squirrels this sturdy feeder has kept them away. Good value for money. I can recommend.

Keeps bigger birds away from food
Wanted to stop larger birds from taking all the food and bothering the smaller birds. After reading the reviews decided to try this one and amazingly – it works!!! It’s great to see the starlings try to fathom out why the smaller birds can get in and feed and they can’t. Took a few days but they eventually got the message that they couldn’t get at the food so they are very few and far between now. There is the odd determined few but they soon go away when they can’t get at the food. If you want to deter bigger birds then this is the one to go for.

Works for the mome
Works, keeps the Jackdaws from destroying all the bird food, have the seed and fatball ones
Starling free at last!
Bought to deter starlings, now all small birds can feed in my garden whenever they wish. Seeing a starling attempt to feed from this feeder and give up within minutes indicates that they are aware of effort and reward. It’s not that I dislike starlings in particular, it’s more that bullies are not my cup of tea. The feeder itself is robust and antibacterially treated, disassembly for periodically cleaning is by a twist method – it requires attention so read the leaflet – the benefit of which is no messing around with small nuts and bolts. Having bought other feeders that claimed to deter starlings but did not I am happy to have finally found this one. Buy with confidence if you prefer to feed smaller birds and enjoy their birdsong.

Not squirrel proof
Lovely strong bird feeder but unfortunately it does not keep the squirrels out. They have learned to take the top off and stuff themselves. I have had to secure lid with strong wire.
is actually squirrel proof
ied other products, this is the one that actually worked
Starling proof
Finally stopped the starlings nicking all the mealworms, the top can be a bit tricky to put o
An excellent bird feede
This is an excellent feeder, robust and easy to fill. Although in theory it is squirrel proof I’m afraid our squirrel has worked out how to unfasten the lid, we have solved this with the help of an extra sturdy wire, which solves the problem.
So far so good, brillia
Pesky squirrel, perplexed, confused…so far so good..Great value for money..probably the best squirrel proof feeder I’ve tried.. wasted a fair bit of dosh in pursuit of defeating a pair of grey squirrels.
I’ll be buying a couple more.
A purchase I’m glad I made.
I have ended up putting suet pellets (normal size) into this feeder and it is the most visited in my garden.
I don’t get squirrels, but bought it to ensure that sparrows, blue tits and the like had their share of food. The bars block starlings (even large groups) and anything bigger. It’s very solid and birds have no problems getting in and out.
My only complaint (apart from the price) is that the lid doesn’t close quite correctly. It should slot into place then lock with a small rotation – however I cannot get it to rotate. In practice this is irrelevant though, because I’ve had armies of starlings attacking it with no impact.
The only thing I have seen a particularly persistent starling do is to manage to poke free one of the suet pellets from within with the tip of its beak.

Finally an anti starling feeder!
This feeder is great! I have had problems with a greedy gang of clever starlings who eat all the food and leaving the smaller birds with nothing. I have tried a couple of feeders with cages with no success but this one is too wide for them to get their beaks into. They have tried their best! I still feed them separately but this feeder prevents them from raiding it and allows the small birds to get their share. Little birds seem to feel safe in the cage. It is easy to clean and the feed has not got wet so far.

Stops the larger birds eating all the food
Looks good, substantial, does what says it should. All the little birds are now using it after only a few days.
So far, so Squirrel Proof!
Yes it’s quite expensive but looks well made and like it will last. The most popular feeder in the garden. I see some reviewers have squirrels that have managed to open the top. Mine haven’t yet – and not for want of trying!
Sturdy and good quality
Brought this product for the little birds in garden. The pegeon damaged the last one.
This is a great product. Very strong and sturdy.
The bride have a feast everyday without the bigger birds eating all seeds.
Best bird feeder I have had
Most squirrel proof bird feeders don’t seem to work. with the cheap ones the squires can still reach inside and chew the plastic cylinder. But not on this one as the cage is a bigger diameter. The top has a larger cover which protects the seeds much better from the rain. May be expensive, but is much better than the 6 ones
Perfec
I use it as a little birds’ feeder in my backyard. Starlings used to be a problem as they just threw all the bird feed away from the regular feeders. That one is the best way to give a chace to the little birds like tits, robins and dunnocks. Additionally, it might be easily cleaned.
Good product if pricey
Product appears to be well manufactured and has the capability of being cleaned something I wanted primarily. Certainly keeps the squirrels out, I have some really aggressive individuals in my garden which destroyed my original feeder.
The next one I brought was good at keeping squirrels away but had build up of uneaten food that went mouldy.
Looking into this the birds can potentially get a very nasty virus as a consequence. hence my third purchase
I would say that I found it 1/3 off at my local garden centre after I brought it compared to the Amazon price which is unusual in my experience.

Keeps the starlings out!
Great feeder, brought to keep starlings out as they just eat everything on my other feeders. They have tried but have now gone and the smaller birds can feed in peace !.
Squirrels not happy
Easy for people to open (not squirrels), and to refill. Some seeds left at the bottom that small birds cannot access, so this would have to be cleaned out before it goes bad.
Squirrel proof
Pretty good. One of the filling cover spigots was broken off when it arrived but that makes no difference to operation so not the end of the world. Been up for about 6 months. Birds continuously fed. Squirrels are not. Does what it needs to.
Good feeder.
A very made product. This is my 4th buy of this feeder. The squirrels have given up trying to eat the peanuts.
Solid item
Excellent bird feeder for small birds. Keeps the large greedy ones out! Just the job.
Poor Administratio
Whilst the product is ok . I was sent three of them in error (the supplier’s error not mine), two of which I duly returned and have never been refunded the return postage.
Arrived Quickly
No little birds using it yet but big birds seagulls etc,are unable to use which is ok as I put it up for little birds.
Easy to refill
This well constructed Bird Feeder arrived early. It took a few days for the birds to get used to it, but is now well used. Compared to my older feeder it stands out for being better in all respects. You get what you pay for.
Problem solved
All my bird food was being tipped on the floor or gobbled up by starlings, pigeon and jackdaw. I bought this to give the smaller birds a chance at a constant food supply. It’s super sturdy so doesn’t blow around in the wind, larger birds can’t access the food. Easy to add food from the top. Built to last. Am now considering the same design for nuts and suet ball feeders
No more starlings!
Bought this to deter starlings, jays etc. and now been in use for a few months Tried one of the smaller diameter versions but the greedy big birds could still reach the seed. Not with this one – now they are reduced to searching the ground underneath for odd seeds dropped by the smaller birds which didn’t get a look-in before. It took about 4 hours for the smaller birds to get used to it and about a week before the big birds gave up trying. A bit more difficult to clean purely because it’s so big.
No idea if it’s effective against squirrels as it hangs from a feeding station and I use a perspex dome to stop them climbing the pole

Stopped the squirrels !
We had VERY keen squirrels
After changing an unprotected feeder for this one the squirrels were still able to get the food out by shaking it I had to prevent it swinging (just used a cable tie) they have now given up. TIP site away from cars due to bird poo!
This is my second!
Expensive but saved it’s cost in a couple of weeks by keeping the rooks and crows from black sunflower seed intended for small birds, especially great tits, greenfinch and nuthatch. Robust, exceptionally easy to fill and easy to clean.
Ample outer guard, easy to fill.
Lid quite easy to get off, so simple to fill. Sturdy hanger. Good value for money.
So far so good - doing the job as anticipated
I was impressed with this feeder in terms of the strength of the cage, the bird perches and the internal seed container. It is robust. I guess you could argue that it would be better with a screw on lid as opposed to the slot and turn method. However, after a couple of weeks in use my squirrels have not yet been able to open the lid – so it seems to do the job.
Good Bird Feede
Purchased as a gift. The recipient has spoken highly of it, saying it is very sturdy and solidly built. Of the several bird feeders they use, it happens to be the most popular with out feathered friends
Best bird feeder I have ever bough
Sturdy, well designed, easy to fill and (unlike others that claim to be) it has so far proved to be squirrel proof. Very impressed.
Good produc
Took the birds a couple of days to work this one out but now they’re happy. If they’re happy, then I’m happy.
