Love this Classic game . I hope they bring in new weapons and characters in the future like replace Mrs Peacock and Dr Orchid with Lord Royal the Butler and Inspector Orange the Police Officer and new weapons axe and poison gas.

Paid over the odds as ordered on Amazon. Sold out elsewhere before Christmas, however good fun entertainment for 5 adults on Boxing Day , so worth it . Just don’t use the clue cards for adults

Updated classic with additional cards to speed up the game or make it easier for younger ones. 12 and 9 year olds love it.
Huge family hi
This was a surprise family hit over the Christmas period. We’ve played so many times and the children love it. I’m glad we waited until they were older before getting this game (10 and 13) as they really think the game through and are very good at deducting! Fantastic!

A family favourite of our childhoods, bought to play with our own family. Perfect for our seven year-old to learn and play with all generations.
The new ‘clue cards’ make it a bit too easy and quick for normal play (there’s no obligation to use them) but, useful for speeding things up when the youngest player is losing focus.

We went on a board game spree after finding we had very few at home one weekend. Cluedo made it onto the list.
The game I received (Cluedo) is definitely the game I expected (Cluedo), so 5 stars for that.
I was a little disapointed by the actual playtime. As a child I thought Cluedo helped us pass a few hours, as an “adult” we struggle to make it last more than a quarter.

We love this game!! Bought as a family treat and it didn’t disappoint. We’ve had lots of laughs around the table with our children playing this. My only complaint would be that there’s not enough paper sheets. We play 2 games a night which uses both sides of a sheet for 5 of us and we ran out pretty quickly. Fab game though!!

Perfect Family Game
Really fun game to play with the whole family. Keeps the kids off their phones for an hour. Even the little girl (she’s 7), joins in, as long as she teams up with another player.

Great game even if only two play. Clue cards to me are a silly idea, however, that is only my opinion, that said, by leaving them out does not spoil the game played the old fashioned way. I also don’t bother placing the kill tools either, they are quite cheap looking and are quite difficult to pick up with older hands.
Cluedo is a great family game. It doesn’t go on too long either!
I’ve knocked off a star for this purely because like so many mass-produced things these days, quality has definitely been compromised for the sake of keeping costs down.
This is my second game, having returned the first because the board itself was all wrinkled – impeccable service from Amazon though and no problems with exchanging. The replacement is better but has a “chafed” look to the board. (The printed picture on the board is stuck onto it and it seems that this is where their manufacturing flaws lie).
All other pieces are fine though and it doesn’t spoil the game. Just a little disappointing when you buy a brand new game.
I highly recommend the game though. Even the teenagers can be persuaded to join in!

My 15 year old mentioned she had never played this so I ordered for Christmas. It has been played with lots, great gift and good value!
My original version of the game has long since bitten the dust (well it was bought in the 1970s) and I have been pestering the other half for us to get a new version. Unfortunately neither he or my adult son really like the game so they were reluctant but I made an executive decision and purchased it anyway.
Delivery was within 23 hours of placing my order and the game arrived with all pieces intact and no damage.
The first thing I noticed was the removal of Mrs White and the modificiations to gameplay. The second thing was that neither my husband or son actually knew how to play it – ah, so it’s not that you don’t like it it’s that you don’t get it. When I explained it was a lighter version of 221B Baker Street they were on board.
Gameplay took about 40 minutes but 10 of those were probably me explaining again what you did when you entered a room. We didn’t use the clue cards and if you rolled the symbol we treated it as a one and played to the traditional rules. Nice to see that the murder weapons were still diecast but I have no idea why the rope is now a lump of plastic instead of a tiny bit of knotted twine – might just have to replace that when I find some string.

I played the original Cluedo a while back and felt nostalgic and wanted to play it again with a group of friends during a house party. Friends and I enjoyed very much. Highly recommended.
Love this. Played with the family this evening and my 10 year old really enjoyed it.
A part was missing though. The black envelope where you hide the 3 cards was not in the box. Not the end of the world but a bit disappointing and sloppy quality control.

Hours of fun playing this! It’s the modern version but the kids don’t know that and it’s as playable as ever.
My second favourite boardgame of all time! 🙂 This version of cludeo can be played with children or adults. As their are clue cards which make the game easier and quicker to play for kids. I am an adult who plays with adults, so we do play without the clue cards, otherwise the game is done in 10 minutes. Without them it can take about 30 mins. It depends on your detective skills ;). Very addictive and arrived fast and with all pieces intact! x

Best game - very understated
I had played this game many years ago but had forgotten how food it was! It’s been revamped and is a bit more p.c. (i.e. there’s no mrs white the maid, she’s been replaced by a more intelligent and attractive female). Only 6 players but over Christmas we played in teams and worked out really well.
Excellent product delivered on time, Cluedo is a must at Christmas. It is however better played with the original rules, ie not using the random items pile. These random clues make the game more luck than skill.
This version comes with ‘clue cards’ which we didn’t have when I was younger. These basically involve someone revealing one of their cards and leaving it face up for everyone to see. Mrs White has been replaced by Dr Orchid. The plastic playing pieces are ok, but the weapons (especially the rope) aren’t as good as they used to be. Still an absolute classic.

Any age will enjoy this game. Can play with 2 or more players. Game lasts enough time to be enjoyable but not too long to become boring. Board is nicely decorated and cards colourful. Wish they’d spent a bit more on the characters as these are tiny & plastic. Otherwise would recommend.

All the murder suspects have had makeovers and resemble the cast of Hollyoaks rather than the traditional characters in the game. But it’s a great game as always.
Classic board game with a lot of fun!
We have the previous version of Cluedo which contains famous(?) Mrs White. A friend played the game at our place and totally loves it, so we decided to get her a set for Christmas. That is when I realised Hasbro came out with the new 2016 version of the game.
I spotted few differences to the previous set:
1) In the set I have, everyone start from the middle of the board (unless you get summoned to a room before your term). In the new set, everyone starts from the edge of the mansion.
2) The “question mark tiles” are removed from the board. The set now has special dices to determine if players should draw a “special cards”
3) Mrs White is replaced by Ms Orchid
4) Characters look more lively in the new set.
5) Some rooms (i.e. ball room, dining room) have more entrances now, might make them easier to get to.
I haven’t play the new set myself (it is a gift to someone), but as far as I can tell, it will be as fun as the previous version. Unless you must have a specific version, I will recommend the cheaper one (this is cheaper than the previous version at the time of purchase)
