Who?
Was it Plum the mathematical genius or White the top lawyer? Perhaps it was Scarlet the glamorous movie star? Had the game as a youngster , decided to to revisit the game. It took two games to find that one of the cards is missing. A little disappointing however as with all things we have improvised. Still a great game.

Who dundidit?
It’s Cluedo, revamped and scrubbed up, so we’re looking at a faultless board game right away and one which has easily stood the test of time. Surprisingly, perhaps, even my younger relatives and their buddies seem to like it – a lot. Just add a few munchies and some pop and the game will keep them busy for ages. And this in an age of high-tech computer games!

Looking forward to playing this
Trying to get the classic board games I had as a kid, this was one my wife used to play many years ago.
It’s slightly different to the one she remembers playing and we’ve not yet played it but it’s there waiting for another board game evening with the neighbours.
Like many board games, the manufacturers seem to be saving space with the boxes by cutting into the centre from an edge and having the board fold away into quarters to fit into a smaller box.

My kids 4, 5, and 7 love this game. The youngest doesn`t grasp the concept of keeping the cues secret, but she has so much fun! Great game to develop the ability to predict events based on information gathering!

Bought this for my kids who loved it although it took me ages to remember the game rules very different to the ‘adult’ version, but the kids remembered straight away what colour from the roll of the die meant.

Great version of Cluedo for kids. Plays in 10-15 mins depending on how many of you are playing. Just the right level of complexity for my 5 year old, and the character pieces in this version are brilliant.

Simple rules, My 8 & 6 year old Nephew & Niece Loved it as did I.
This is a fun version of Cluedo, particularly if you have teenagers who like to be a bit more mischievous when playing games. Whilst you still have to tell the truth when asked by another player to show one of the 3 cards they are looking for, the liar element of the game comes in to play directly after your go, and if you’re a good liar you can wangle another go straight away! The additional element to this game is a pack of ‘Truth’ and ‘Liar’ cards. You have to pick one of these cards after your turn from a pile face down on the table (so no-one else knows what card you have picked). Directly after your go, you have to read out loud from this additional card. Some cards are ‘Truth’ cards and will legitimately allow you another go, but the majority of cards are ‘Liar’ cards, and they give you three options on how to get another turn and therefore more info out of other players! You HAVE to read one option from this card, whether you’re a good liar or not, so you have to convince the other players that you are holding a ‘truth’ card. If they catch you out as a liar, you have to show everyone else one of your cards….! I’ve learnt a lot about how good my teenage sons can be at lying, while playing Cluedo Liar! I bought this on Amazon for 10 cheaper than in the shops! It’s a good fun game, but at 15 rather than 25.

Fantastic game for youngsters 5 and upwards, our granddaughters just love playing it. The Case of the Broken Toy is made for kids!
My husband and I were both massive Cluedo fans as kids so we were eager to introduce our 6 and 8 year olds to the game; this is perfect for doing just that!
The aim of the game is to find out who broke the toy (there is no murder involved!), and in order to win you must find which toy was broken and at what time. As with the original game you move around the house trying to find clues which are hidden underneath characters and pieces of furniture. The dice offers opportunities to look underneath these items, as do specific spaces in each of the rooms. You then mark these off on your notepad which the boys really enjoyed. To get them into the game we decided to play an ‘open’ game for our first go where we could all see what each other was marking off so that they got the hang of it. The rules are really simple and easy to understand and had our first proper game straight after with one of them winning.
The game changes on every play so you need to remember to remove all the characters and furniture from their place holders and mix them up (this creates the unique game). We also took a scan of our notepad so we could print more for when we inevitably run out…we have played it lots and would definitely recommend.

Classic Cluedo board game! I usually play with my little sister and we still have lots of fun, you don’t need many players to play Cluedo. Good thing about the game is that you can still play and make little changes in the game!!

Great game - but no dagger!
My wife and I both loved Cluedo as kids so on a whim I decided to buy it. The only disappointing thing is that the dagger weapon piece was missing. We turned the rug that the game was opened onto upside down looking for the dagger incase we’d dropped it, but it was nowhere to be seen — so presumably never there in the first place.
That said, the game itself is just as good as we remember it being… Infact the addition of Clue Cards (which didn’t exist when we first played Cluedo 30 years ago) adds another dimension to the game should you wish to use them.
The Suspect counters are good, although they tend to lean a little. Miss Peacock took a tumble at the start of the game (one too many sherries, me thinks). But visually they’re a marked improvement from the simple counters that I remember as a child.
All in all, a great addition to our games collection. Can’t wait to play this with the kids!

Good game. Bit hard starting to use this but once all set up and instruction read its a fun game. My son loves it. Slightly different to the older version as you have an extra character Mrs White.

The kids love this classic version of a really old game. It’s great fun to play but it’s pretty basic and, wow, it’s all environmentally damaging plastic. Slightly fiddly to assemble too.

Great family fun especially over Christmas although I have to say some players are better than others. The kids love it and so do I. If you have a methodical brain this is the game for you.

Classic board game, was great introducing it to the kids! Just a shame the rope isn’t a real piece of rope any more, but a lump of plastic instead, is nothing sacred any more?!
I have 4 teenagers, and they love playing this game. We found the rules a bit confusing to start with, but it’s really good fun once you work it out. We especially like the character back-stories in the instruction booklet.
Arrived by next day delivery, in good condition. Packaging was ok, not excessive. The gaming board is sturdy and well drawn out. The suspect figurines are plastic, and stand well without toppling over. 2 dice are included, plus a booklet of suspect checklists, each of which can be used for about 10 games, so we won’t run out any time soon. Also a set of clue cards, and a set of character/weapon/location cards.

Love this game but miss the the one i had as a child with the three plastic cases and looking under the flaps on the corner, going round the board game picking cards and finding clues on the orb ect and trying to get there frist to get reward. I still like this one little less stuff on board and simple.

An aid to ditching the BBC.
We hadn’t played this game for decades but we are assembling a collection of leisure activities in order to ditch the TV licence. This was high on our list and it didn’t disappoint. Bye bye BBC.

Great game but not in the same league as monopoly or scrabble my kids play these more but for a week they played loads
My wife is a keen Cluedo player and is desperate to be able to play with the kids so we’re starting their education. This isn’t as far away from the real game as I expected, when compared to the equivalent Junior Monopoly which really simplifies the game. This does mean that the leap to the real game won’t be massive but it’s maybe a little bit complicated for my 5 year old; she doesn’t quite get the strategy of trying to visit each room and person to work it out and it’s hard to help her without getting significant help for yourself. The 7 year old does fine and it’s quite a good, tactile version of the game that’s colourful and . It feels like it takes a bit longer to complete that it should, but that may be because we were fairly new to it and we did have fun playing it is a family. The kids can understand the rules easily enough. I think it would be better if the playing board was a bit bigger; it folds in half but games in this size box would be twice as big normally which would give a bit more space for the characters. Not a big deal but sitting round a table as we do for games this feels a bit small, but then would be great for a train.

Simple and fu
Cluedo is of course one of the all-time classics. It is fairly short, so you don’t need a whole day to play it and quite easy to learn too, so an ideal family board game. It does however testing your logical thinking and you have to read the other players carefully too. All in all real fun game!

Fun for all the family
Having not played this since I, myself, was a child, I decided to buy it to play with my children. It’s the same classic game but with a couple of changes: Mrs White has been replaced with Miss Orchid and there are a pack of clue cards to help you along. However, you can still play the game without using the clue cards. This game suited all ages in our family from 13-50 years and probably one of the few games we can play without arguing. Each game lasts 20-30mins and is very easy to get the hang of; my youngest was able to deduce who, where and what on the second time of playing. Great fun.
Good update of classic game
So during Covid 19 lockdown my kids were desperate to play cluedo. Our original game did not survive one of my clear outs – I couldn’t recall them ever playing it. Had great fun with this updated version though. The addition of Clue cards is great – speeds the game up a bit. Our family ages are 13 upwards.
