First things first, REMOVE THE MULCH GUARD.
Was about to complain that this mower doesn’t collect the clippings then realised my schoolboy error.
It’s as light as a feather, pretty powerful, made light work of my average sized lawn.
Power lead is plenty long enough.
Seen some reviews that say the bag only gets partially full before blocking but I had no such issue. Maybe they were cutting longer wet grass. Who knows?
Ooh, and it’s very quiet too. Much quieter than my old mower.
All in all I recommend it.
Bought for myself to use, as lawn cutting man let me down. Easy to assemble and lightweight to use. Have some awkward turns and narrow places that are a little difficult, but practice makes perfect! Great value and a pleasure to use. I am 83 years old with good size lawns
Ive got a area of grass to keep tidy and is handy to a electric supply, so this mower does the job a treat.
I have 3 separate areas of lawn and this mower dealt with cutting all the grass with no issues. It’s so light and easy to manoeuvre that I was able to do it with one hand. I hadn’t read the reviews before I ordered mower and I must admit I had concerns when I did read them but I can honestly say hand on heart it’s brilliant to use and grass looked great once mowed, I would highly recommend this mowe

This lawn mower is the best I’ve ever owned used for first time this weekend our lawn had grown to about 10″ long because our old mower broke it powered through with no problem on high setting obviously to start with then a lower setting real mean machine thoroughly recommend
Works very well but was surprisingly difficult to attach the arms – had to go to YouTube to understand it. They really need to rewrite and clarify that. Otherwise, a great mower and very happy with it once we finally got the arms on.
Assembly. I had a few issues with the quick release clamp. It states: if the handle is too loose, unfold the quick release clamp and turn clockwise a couple of turns. Fold clamp in again to check the tightness, or if it is too tight, then unfold and unscrew anti-clockwise a few turns. I must have been doing something wrong, as the clamp wouldn’t lock. I decided to loosen it and then the clamp would allow me to fold it back to lock it Ito place. Other than that, it was very easy indeed. Its build quality is very good too.
Has worked well since we’ve had it, which is several months now.
I thought this was good value for money until I tried using grass cut level 3 and it does not collect the grass. Only seems to cut and collect well on level 4 & 5. Very frustrating.
The best feature is the easily adjustable height of the blade simply by shifting an external lever. The grass collection basket is also very easy to take off for emptying and to return. I have yet to find anything not to like and will certainly never buy a Flymo again.
Lawnmower is overall very good
Primary function of cutting grass is excellent – the height ranges are good – the lowest setting is very short, but there’s a good range for every garden.
It’s very lightweight overall so that’s good for when carting it around and manoeuvres but if you want to go through heavy long grass you’ll find the back lifts a bit as it’s so light.
The plastic roller at the back for stripes on your lawn is a bit too lightweight to have any real impact.
Grass box is a good size, the mulch insert works well Amd gives a fine cut.
It feels a bit flimsy but in reality is just light. Good all rounder for small to medium size garden with more than enough power.
If you have a large garden I’d consider something a bit bigger or be prepared to take your time.
Overall a good mower at a good price.
This mower does exactly what it says on the box, easy to assemble (if you follow the well writen instruction booklet). As soon as it was assembled i put it to work on my slightly overgrown 300sq metre lawn set on the highest cut position, it handled the task with ease.
If you are looking for a rotary mower to handle a medium size lawn you need to look no further it is well constructed, sturdy and powerful enough for even my lawn (1600 whatt motor) that has seen off lesser mowers, outstanding!

A new lawnmower was required and so I purchased this model. It cuts well and allows even cutting and leaves that striped effect. I failed to notice the length of the cable was only10 metres and I have to use an extension. Other than that I really like my new purchase.
Great product easy to assemble and manoeuvre around the garden, I have a medium size lawn and it handles that with ease, it’s light weight and easy to fold and store away. I would recommend it for the price.

I always went the Bosch route but this time I thought I’d make and change.
I am very happy so far with this lawn mower, easy to maneuver and just right for my 200 square meter garden.

Love this mower! It is lightweight which is the main reason for our purchase. It is perfect for mowing the lawn as (for us) a light buzz over frequently saves having to get the hefty petrol mower out every time it needs a tidy up. Excellent value for money. Won’t hesitate to recommend.

This mower leaves all the cuttings behind which was disappointing.

The first time I used this, I wasn’t that impressed – the handle was wobbly and the collector didn’t collect a blade of grass. I had only followed the written instructions in the booklet, d’oh! So before second use (today) I watched the YouTube video as advised in the booklet
Reassembled the handles as demonstrated – solid as a rock! Removed the mulching plug – every blade collected. I love this lawnmower!!! It is so easy to adjust the cutting height; even on my uneven lawn, I now have a rolled look like all the posh lawns It was so lightweight and easy to manoeuvre that my 88 years old Mum gave it a go too and managed it easily. We were both impressed at how easy it was to adjust the handle height to accommodate her smaller stature. Only needed to empty the grass collector once after mowing entire lawn (approx 26 m x 7 m) whereas previous lawnmower (old Bosch) needed emptying 3 times for one mowing session.
All I can say is WATCH the YouTube video before using the mower, it really is a lot clearer than the booklet, which is pretty clear anyway. I am so pleased by my purchase of this machine, and enjoy mowing the lawn now I wonder if any neighbours need theirs doing
I previously had a petrol mower which proved difficult to start over recent weeks. so I spent some time looking at alternatives and decided on the Hyundai 380E. Turned out to be a great choice! easy to put together, very lightweight, and best of all it cuts really nicely.I would happily recommend it to anyone.

Really Good, , Bosch should have put a screw in cap in the place you keep the plastic cutting lines, after I finished the cap was missing and the three extra lines were missing, by this time I had got rid of what was left of the brambles and had them taken away, it might take some time but I will find something to replace the original cap, the lever to raise or lower the mower to adjust the cutting height is perfect, very happy with it !, Tar !.
I’m used to a petrol mower so this felt very light. Lack of weight means you need two passes on longer grass but it’s so quick, going over twice is no big shakes. Very manoeuvrable and cuts closely to the lawn edge. All in all an excellent product and would certainly recommend for the price paid!

I usually have a petrol mower however I decided to buy this machine and I am so glad that I did. It is a awesome little power house. Don’t let its lightweight construction confuse you into thinking it’s not up to the job . It is so easy to manoeuvre it makes cutting the lawn no longer a chore but a breeze.Easy to empty grass box is a bonus., and the design is perfect as it takes a usually boring lawn mower into one with some style. Easy to assemble. Good cutting height adjustment. Works very well and easy to move as it is light with a good wheel size. Pleased with this purchase and the “mulching” plate is a nice option to have as it reduces hassle with grass collection and give the lawn natural nutrition. Nice blue too!
I had to replace my old Bosch mower and, having read poor reviews for the new Bosch range, decided to try this one. I am very pleased I did ! Easy assembly and straightforward instructions for use. I haven’t used the ‘Mulch Plug’ yet but that seems an innovative idea. The machine cuts very well and the height adjustment is simple.

i found the motor powerful and easy to handle
i must stress that the following comments in no way relate to the actual lawn mower .
would have been given a 5 star but for one little issue , it would not collect the grass into the receptor
correctly and was leaving clumps of cut grass on the lawn .
As a retired dynamics engineer i found that the cutting blade with wings to generate upward force into the receptor was not sufficient as the wings were on a very small angle and not producing enough lift to to force the cuttings into the receptor , on investigation i found that Mitsubishi have produced a more powerful winged blade but alas it does not fit the 38cm fitting on the machine !!.
so i tracked down a generic blade with far greater lift and machined it to fit , as soon as it was tried out it was awesome fantastic cutting and collection .
Again i must stress that it has no bearing on the actual lawn mower as i found it to be a fantastic machine in its build and its potential abilities the issue was never with the machine but with a Attached blade and once i made the relative “adjustments” it is the best lawn mower i have owned ,
i would wholly recommend this lawn mower to others
But please read the comments from other users
And please do not carry out adjustments without professional assistance witch can affect manufactures warranty on a great lawnmower

The machine does what it says. On its lowest level the cut is close. The mower is light and maneuverable but the roller does not give distinctive stripes.
The only negative is that the grass box does not fill to its total capacity. The grass collects at the entrance to the box so that the rear half of the box is left empty. Disappointing as you have to keep emptying the box
Just 4 hand tight items to put together very easy just a few minutes.
Manoeuvrablity a bit harder than a hover mower when turning at the end of lawn but something i think
I will get use to.
It is heavier than my previous mower but that is because of build quality, there is not any flimsy plastic

Having always used petrol Lawnmowers I was a bit unsure on going back to electric.
Following a lot of positive reviews I decided on the hyundai.
It was relatively quick and easy to put together and I got going within 20 mins.
I’d not cut the grass in a 3-4 weeks so was dense in places.
I found the cut pretty good with a bit of grass clogging but nothing a swift clean up didn’t fix.
It is also what I have experienced with all mowers so to be expected with longer grass that is always a little damp.
The mower was easy to manoeuvre and pretty lightweight.
The cord is a little shorter than needed so required an extension lead. Only really a slightly frustrating point but again that’s what you would expect with a corded mower.
Grass collection was good, again a bit of clogging but generally was ok.
Packing down is pretty simple.
Only had for a short period but positive experience so far.
Very easy to use and I especially like the mulching facility. I would have liked a longer than 10 metres cable. Previously I had 30 metres cable.
This is the best mower I have had. Easy to assemble and light to maneuver. My grass had two weeks growth and looked long. It took less time than my old mower to cut our large garden. The mulching attachment works very well and doesn’t spray grass cuttings all over but neat and almost invisible. This saves a lot of carrying. This is a good mower, recommended
Brilliant mower easy to assemble light to use and well made, cut’s grass smoothly with the powerful 1600watt motor plus the big grass holder saves the number of trips to the green bin.
Had self propelled unit before but got to heavy to use ,this is so light just fly’s round and job done.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this mower is; build quality is excellent- height adjustment is simple and locks into position positively- it cuts the grass effortlessly and the mulching plug does a good job without clogging- it is also a lot quieter than my previous mower. It’s not the cheapest electric mower out there, but as they say; you only get what you pay for.
I like the lawnmower, cuts well, easy storage but the bag even though its clipped in after a bit of grass is collected it comes loose at the back which is annoying as i have to keep emptying it.
Looks greats, cut very well (some clumps but can go back over) the lines were ok (usually just doesn’t cut the edges to give a lined effect so going over more gets rid of the lines however still cuts great
Only downside is the collector (as other reviews say) doesn’t collect great and I usually just have to lift the lawn mower with the top mounted handle and wiggle it vertical to get the grass to drop into the bag
However overall working great so far the cord is long so have no issue doing the full garden as per the image

Gives a good cut. If stripes in your lawn are what you want (I didn’t), this is not the lawnmower for you. The roller bar is far too narrow. The cable management could be better, too – the hook beneath the handle is too short to hold the cable in place. Useful being able to store the machine upright in limited space.
Easy to change the blade settings when needed. Could do with a point to secure the cable when not in use rather than just leave it lying on top of the mower.

I bought this mower for my mother; she wanted something light, manoeuvrable with adjustable height settings and a roller so she could get some nice stripes.
This ticked all of the right boxes and much more; build quality is excellent, easy to assemble using the supplied booklet (less than 10 minutes).
It may be lightweight, but the performance is outstanding; it has a powerful motor, and it sliced through the most demanding areas of our lawn easily, and yes, it produced stripes.
This is an excellent mower; sure the power cable could have been a little longer, but the length was clearly stated in the product description, so I cannot complain.
I must mention that the grass box was faulty and basically unusable, so I contacted the seller directly by phone and described the issue to them; they asked me to take a couple of pictures and email them. They responded the same day and organised a replacement to be sent out, and it arrived the following day.
Excellent product backed up with exceptional after-sales customer service; even though there was an issue, it doesn’t warrant dropping a star from the rating.
Used once so far so cannot say how it will fair over time. Packed well, easy to assemble, light and easy to use. Easy to fold up for storage. For the price a reasonable purchase.
I got my Hyundai 1600 watt 38cm rotary mower on 19/6/2021 and I am very pleased with my purchase. It was very easy to assemble the mower and I was very much impressed with the quality of the design and engineering and materials used in the production of the mower which are superior to those of the other manufacturers that I checked out. It is very easy to use and gives excellent results with ease. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a mower to use on a garden which is larger than the average garden.
Bought this to replace old lawnmower. Wanted to have striped lawn. Does produce some lines but not as evident as I thought. The grass collector us good especially as it collapses down. The mulching feature is very good and helped with my new lawn. Hyundai could supply a longer lead for an average size garden -say 20m. Plus the clip to stop the lead pulling by the controls needs to be redesigned to stop the lead falling off. It is there to loop the lead and stop it pulling from the main handle.
Good solid mower with a decent power unit, very similar styling to my previous Ryobi which failed after 12 months but a little less fussy on the controls but does feel more solid and more powerful although both did have the same size power unit. Only purchased a couple of weeks ago but happy with the Hyundai mowe
Received within two days and surprized to see what an excellently well made this product is, and so easy to assemble, it is also so easy to store and does a good clean cut, with having larger than normal wheels it makes manoeuvrability easy, it is also so easy to carry having a built in handle on the top, very impressed.

A very good mower to build straight out of the box, the handle clips need to be adjusted just right so as not to stress them, quite quiet and easy to manoeuvre.
Only 2 points to stop it getting 5 stars is the cable is only 10 metres long and the blade doesn’t seem to throw the cut grass far enough into the collected.
The fact it stands upright saves space in a garden shed.
Have alot of grass to cut so have 2 mowers,when one broke through age I decided to try a different make.The mower arrived very promptly. It was straight forward to assemble and light enough to lift easily. It is very easy to manoeuvre even over uneven ground/grass. It mows the grass easily without having to strain yourself pushing it like one of my last mowers. So impressed that I plan to buy another one to use instead of the Bosch one I still have.
Good lawnmower. Only reason I am not giving it 5stars is because no matter what height you raise the blade too it still seems to gather alot of grass cuttings underneath which means that it stops grass being fed into the bag properly. It’s does cut the grass nicely and you do get good lines however, I end up doing alot of raking afterwards!
Really pleased with this. I did a reasonable amount of research and chose this over a bosch or flymo. So far so good – it doesn’t block or leak clumps of grass as you mow, the collection box goes on and off really easily and the height adjustment actually works. I’ve used it about a dozen times with no problem at all ending up with a nice even cut and lovely stripes.
Light and powerful mower with easy cut 5 height adjustments on just one handle , only 1 complaint that this handle juts out so that it catches on my flower pots and re-adjusts without you noticing immediately!!!! My new turfed lawn now has a m2 bald patch!!! Design flaw?????
I have had this for about a month and it’s really rather good. Easy to assemble and cuts rather well. The mulch function works well, but the grass collection side is a little temperamental.

Really easy to assemble from out the box. Lightweight and manoeuvrable. My only downside is that the plastic strip holding the bottom half of the bag into the unit comes out whenever any weight(grass) is collected inside. Is this a floor in the design or is it faulty?
My garden is a lump of soil – no flat bits anywhere and sloped – but fairly small. A right pain to cut, so I tend to make things a lot harder by putting off cutting the grass until the pain of cutting it becomes less than my embarrassment in its state.
If I manage to cut it three times myself this year, this mower will pay for itself over paying for a professional to come do it for me (40 a pop).
This mower handled my garden perfectly. A few days later and I dont need to go back out and get the nits that spring back up. It’s lightweight to handle the slope and the adjustable angle of the handle allows to make this comfortable. Changing from a hover mower meant I did initially make a mistake, this cuts going forward, try cutting pulling it backwards and you will iron the grass instead.
Adjusting the cutting height on this is amazingly easy. Use the gear stick and you can alter cut height in seconds.
Being normal, I was truly hoping the mulch function would remove the need to rake afterwards, but alas, this is not a mulch function rather its a return the cuttings to the lawn. I was disappointed but not surprised. It would take a much bigger wallet to get a true mulching cutter. If your mower has flap that closes if you don’t fit the basket then that’s going to do roughly the same thing.
So this mower is worth every penny, I managed to cut my grass in one go, previously I would need to take a break halfway through. Sorting it away is great as it stands up on its end with a well designed couple of legs. In folded mode the handles do feel very loose, almost about to fall off but I am sure this is not going to be an issue.
This even managed to cur over the edge of my paving slabs without hitting them. It does need pairing up with a strimmer though as it wont get up close and personal on borders against walls. It will get closer than most.
Buy this if you want a good mower to cut grass. Don’t buy based on a dream that you wont need to rake up cuttings, it should not claim mulching as a feature. Next time I will use the basket and see if that works better. best value mower I could find.
Super easy to assemble, it literally is the handles and popping the plastic frames around the grass box. All done in less than 10 minutes. Cuts perfectly well, love there’s 5 different height settings which are easy to adjust. Very light for picking up and storing, handles fold down easily. Haven’t used the mulching part yet but great addition in my opinion. 3 years warranty which is better than most. Overall great mowe
Most of my experience with this mover are good , but I was going to return it as it rattles ,I now think its the Hight adjusting mechanism.
after a couple of uses I have got used to the noise that seems to have gone 🙂
the lawn after cutting looks fantastic and easy to use the mover on parts of the lawn that is uneven .

This model is what I chose, first off it is powerful compared to my old mower and handles long grass effortlessly, I read somewhere that it’s a brush less motor so that could explain why it seems quieter than old mower.
The 5 height settings are 20mm, 34mm, 46mm, 58mm and 70mm, I got these settings by contacting Hyundai and they are almost right as I dont like grass to be too short so 34mm is perfect for summer and the let it grow late summer for last cut in October at 58 or 46 to help keep the moss at bay.
Changing heights is dead easy with this mower and is a gated change so handle slips into the one of the 5 grooves for height adjustment.
This mower also mulches, really useful for spring cut and the mulching block can be removed with a firm pull to remove it, you can then put on the grass collection box, this also fits easily and collects a lot of grass.
Blade is 38cm and does need sharpening straight away as they are not what I would call sharp, apparently all mower blades are not sharp when packaged do be aware of this.
Assembly is not hard despite people saying it is, took me 10 mins max.
The mower is solid and uses a plastic that is quite thick but does make it solid, not flimsy at all.
Manoeuvrability is good for a 38cm mower and the wheels chunky and not flimsy.
It packs away by the folding handles as shown in the picture and you stand it on end, do takes up little space
Some people may also struggle to lift it one handed but overall it is light enough for most people.
Overall. A great mower and also looks stunning in the blue.
This is definitely one to recommend.
Nice build quality for a sub 150 mower, easy to assemble and cuts well with plenty of power, packs away nicely to save space in the shed!
Easy to put together.. it does the job.. i am happy i picked this mower.. it collects the grass well.. it is simple to change the height of the cut.. folds downs easy..the handle is sturdy to carry and store. I would buy it again and use many mowers from petrol and electric flymo’s .
Decent machine for the money. This thingy collecting cut grass is not holding very well so you end up with pieces of grass on the ground but i guess none of machines in this price range would be any better.
Cutting blade is made of quite soft metal so any stones or other bits will mess blade very easily but again for the money one can’t expect 1000’s bucks machine performance. Overall it’s decent value product.
Assembly
Very few parts to actually assemble, they are:-
Handle – screwing the two parts together using the supplied clamps (make sure the power cable, from the switch to the motor, is not on the wrong side of the handle once secured)
Power cable clips – two clips that snap into place on the cable going to the motor and the bottom section of the handle
Power cable strain relief – a small hook is under the power lever (called the Operator Presence Control (OPC)) which you hook the power cable. I found that it can fall off and presume that a cable tie provided is meant to be used to secure the cable and prevent it untying.
Grass box – clip the plastic strips onto the metal frame of the grass box
Cutting
Grass Cutting – make sure the Mulch plug is removed if you want to collect the grass, or inserted, to mulch the grass back into the lawn.
Once the height is set and the handles fixed by the adjustable clamps connect the power. Press the red button then the OPC and the mower will start.
The mower comes with only 10m of power cable, it would have been easier for my garden, if the length had been around 12 – 15m I would not have needed an extension.
This is a great mower for the money. I bought it to use on a medium size lawn that is not particularly flat. Previously I had been using a flymo which was hopeless on my lawn. The Hyundai was easy to set up and adjust for cut height. For a first cut the grass was taller than I would normally leave it but it was no problem to this mower it had plenty of power and cut through it quickly and left a neat job. I found it easy to manoeuvre around ,which is handy if you have awkward lawn shapes. Very pleased with my purchase.
Not a bad mower, better than my last flymo. The only reason for not 5 stars as it could pick the grass up better. It mows lovely and an excellent cut but you get grass blown everywhere from the side of the mower.
This lawnmower bettered my expectations.
I normally use a petrol mower, but this had developed a fault so after looking at reviews I chose the Hyundai as a temporary replacement. For me it was a good choice. As regards assembly of the product I watched the tutorial on you tube to put the kit together and it took less than 10 minutes to put together.
I have used the lawnmower a couple of times now and I have been impressed by its cutting of the grass. Much better than my expectations.

As regards the product, personally I can recommend it.
Took 5 mins to put together, lightweight for it’s size and large blade makes reasonably short work of a quarter acre.
Easy enough to move around for both our 11 and 13 year old kids.
Mulching plug works and as long as you mow regularly enough, leaves few clippings for the kids and dogs to drag into the house.
Collection could perhaps be better, but it was used for the first cut if the year and the grass was a little wet, so that would have affected its’ performance.
Did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews and decided to purchase the Hyundai HYM3800E lawnmower. I found it very quick and easy to assemble and the quality of the materials are very good. The range of cutting heights is excellent and very easy to change. I was impressed with the cut I got on my lawn just on the middle setting. I have previously been using the “hover ” type lawnmowers and found the Hyundai wheeled lawnmower very easy to manoeuvre. The 10m cable gives you a good working distance.
An excellent lawnmower and good value for money.
I just received this lawnmower yesterday. It was easy to assemble and the instructions were clear and concise. Within 15 minutes it was plugged in and cutting the grass with no problems. The height adjustment mechanism seems very robust unlike my previous lawn mower. I am very impressed with the overall quaity of the build. It was worth paying just a little bit more to get some thing that looks like it will last.
Easy to assemble and moves around easily. It is heavier than I thought it would be 15kg. I am in my late seventies so not the best combination. Have yet to cut the lawn with it but with its maneouverability it should be OK.
Bought this to replace a Bosch lawnmower. The Bosch always struggled with Long and/ or wet grass. The machine is a good price and works well. Took only a few minutes to assemble. Used it twice not and is much better than the Bosch. The machine also comes with a 3 year warranty. Would recommend this.
A little difficult to assemble the handle, but once I had sorted that out it was fine. So far it works perfectly. The grass box is easy to attach/detach and the mulcher seems to work very well. The cord is rather short for my lawn, but it was easy to replace with a longer one. Very good value for money.
Downside: the 10m cord isn’t long enough. I need two extension leads to get to the end of the garden – which I think is 40 meters – this means it is a pain moving the cable out of the way each time you walk up and down the garden.
The only bad thing about ‘mulching’ the grass is that I get a house full of grass cuttings whenever anyone walks in and out.
I’m only mentioning this – not as a complaint but so you’re aware.
Brilliant purchase – great price.
Rather a heavy lawnmower but because it folds up small, that is within the size of the mower body, it seems easier to manoeuvre and store. Used once so far and the results are good, grass box is large and only required a single empty for my lawn with surplus space. Noise about on a par with my previous Bosch mower, cable length is identical to earlier mowers I have owned and so not restrictive.

Now the likes, when cutting long straight cuts it is very good and easy to wheel and is very quiet. If the cutting settings are on 3+ or not taking too much off, then the collection is ok. The added benefit of a longer lead also is a bonus.
Great delivery. I found the handle adjusters very difficult to work on lower and upper handle, took a while to work out how you tighten them but did manage in the end. Cuts grass great, nice box, height lever nice and easy to move, nice looking lawnmover. Would have given 5 stars but for handle tightners
Single handle gear type shift height adjustment makes changing height setting very quick and easy.
Grass roller makes a neat finish, roller standing the test of time will be interesting, however the 3yr warranty should see fit to any issues.
Grass box outlet filler piece makes for a good item when you want to cut and not pick up the grass/mulching.
Cable guide on handles is a good feature to help you keep the cable where you want it whilst mowing.
Quick release handles on handles makes for easy packing.
Having gone from an 8kg mower 1200w (Qualcast easi-trak 320 (32cm)), I won’t be going back, this new Hyaundai mower really is great to use doing what it says on the tin!
After reading loads of reviews I decided to go with this one, I was always sceptical about electric mowers as the ones I have used in the past were just pathetic and don’t usually cope with anything other than a putting lawn.
It went through grass halfway up my legs, sure it slowed but less than my petrol mower to my shock, I really did not think it would go through it but it did like a trooper, even when the arm got knocked and I didn’t notice it had gone onto the lowest setting and still mowed through it.
I am now converted to an electric mower and would recommend this all day long.

A bit plasticky in places, plastic handle clamps may break easily, cheap plastic red start button, handle don’t fold that well for storage, nowhere to hang cable in storage, does not always pick up the grass same as the flymo with grass box.
Cons:
Nice and light, good 1600w powerful motor, would like to see and 1800w or 2000w, very quiet, small and easy to store, I like the plastic top to grass bin, much better than the full net ones, 10mins to assemble.

Searching for a wheeled mower I came across this Hyundai which looked like just the job. My local Homebase store couldn’t promise the Ryobi that I was looking at for the same price, so I bit the bullet and went for Hyundai – brilliant decision, speedy delivery, easy assembly and light and easy to use! My wife loves it and occasionally I get a look in too!
The only drawback was the assembly instructions- they can be much improved- as patience and logical thought are definitely required. However, once this hurdle is overcome you’ll have a dream machine. Another niggle may be the length of the electric cable, I would advise checking how much you’ll need as you may require an extension cable.
I like the flexibility offered by the various locking points . Attention has been given to cable management to help keep it from tangling while in use. Having run over the cable on my previous mower I was very appreciative of that.
An excellent feature is the folding grass box , very useful where storage space is limited.It was more noisy than I expected so 4 stars.
The company were extremely quick and tried to be very helpful, even sending another box straight away. I cannot fault them, and have informed them of the problem, so hopefully they will be able to advise people in the future.
In use, you’ll need to attach the grass-cuttings box as the grass bits come through the back as you cut without it. There’s a handle to attach to the cuttings box. You can’t adjust the length of the main handle without drilling new holes but you can adjust the angle using the quick release handles.
It cuts very well. Cutting height can be adjusted using a gear-stick like handle on the side of the mower. It’s not too nosiy in use and cuts efficiently.
Obviously how long the Hyundai lasts is down to time. It’s got a three year warranty and there’s a sticker on the side of the mower giving a phone number to get help. My last machine was a Qualcast which didn’t last long before the motor burned out – I must have used it 10 times over two years….
Grass compartment/box is small’sh, would be nice if it was a bit bigger. Assembly is simple, but not easy to understand booklet, just youtube the model and you’ll find a video tutorial.
