I’ve used a few others but this one stands out as works v well . It’s fairly quiet for as robust as it is and the 10 litre tank or option to drain is really good . Highly recommend

The cable is not long enough for where my power points are located but otherwise it’s fine in every other aspect.

Great performance, worked well out of the box, I use the drain tube because the collector is a bit small and it fills quickly. It can collect over 12 litres a day!

This dehumidifier works a treat, not to noisy and cheap to run.
You do need to empty it fairly often, but at least that shows it’s working well.

After using for 3 months, I still love this. Yes, it’s a bit noisy (quiet mode not much quieter) , but it sucks so much moisture! I need to empty it every day which is easy to do, and air quality much improved.

Very pleased with this item as it fits lovely under my small table. Very good on keeping my window panes nice and dry and good at catching the steam from my iron when ironing. Easy to empty water out and you can see how much water is in the tank.

The dehumidifier was a gift to a friend. It has helped reduce the level of humidity in her house very significantly. This has improved their health too.

If you have problems with a damp room, this machine will get you dried out. If you think it isn’t working, because it isn’t collecting any water, then you’re probably trying to use it where it isn’t required.
My house has been a much dryer place over the winter months with this dehumidifier on the go. A really good investment, well worth the money, and outstanding VfM too.

This is an excellent water catcher. Fortunately we leave it a closed room at night where the noise doesn’t disturb us as it is quite loud. It is also very heavy and a bit tricky to drag around. But it is an efficient dehumidifier.

Very good but 2 bad points are the small tank and the fact that on auto it only stops the compressor but not the fan. I use this for my garage and have it with a hose and bucket so not so much of a problem. Because of this I did not choose this a few weeks later when I needed another for indoors.

Its rather loud with little difference in normal mode against the quite mode, its comparable to a tower fan on full or half as loud as a typical vacuum. I dont think it can be used at bed time unless your a very very heavy sleeper.

It does extract a lot of water depending on humidity in your room and it measurable and i can feel the quality of the feeling fresher or lighter.

It heavys but it has a convenient handle which helps moving it about. It has wheels but its only good for pushing forward or backward the wheels dont have high clearance and dont rotate.

Bought to replace a unit that had failed after 6 years,it sits in our bedroom and collects a frightening amount of moisture. It’s compact, not too bothered about the noise as we don’t run it at night. If it lasts as long as the last one I will be happy enough.

This is a very effective dehumidifier. It’s hugely improved our condensation problem. It’s portable between rooms but you have to lift it if you have carpets rather than roll it on a hard floor. It removes litres of water from the air.

It actually works very well extracting water from the air. I was surpriced how fast fill the deposit. I would recommend it to sleep with it because it is a bit noisy, but not too much. Unless you have OCD you can sleep with it on. However I just put it hours before going to sleep until the humidy is low and I turn it off when I am going to sleep (during the night the room goes up by 10% humidy max). It is easy to move. It would have being better that the deposit is a little bit bigger, but it is also not small.

What I like about this dehumidifier is, unlike others it can work at Lower temperature very efficiently. But it’s so noisy, even if you put it on sleep mode, which can be a deal breaker for light sleeper .

I bought this as a replacement for an older unit that has been repurposed to the caravan. We use this in a laundry room to dry clothes. It certainly pulls water out of the air better than the last two makes of similar size units that we have used. It is louder than those units, even on the quite setting, but the noise is all down to the powerful fan that efficiently stirs the air in the room to help remove moisture evenly. I was a bit dubious buying such a cheap unit, but needn’t have been. This unit is very well made and performs excellently.

I have had this product for 10 months and I have to say it has saved me thousands of pounds due to damp and mould in my home. The dehumidifier collects litres of water from my large room which unfortunately has no windows!

The first few days I noticed less mould spots on the wall and less condensation around the windows.

I can honestly say this is the best product I have purchased to permanently remove the mould and damp from my walls.

Very easy to empty and clean, there is a noise but it helps to put my baby to sleep.

I have had some communication with the seller and I have to say they have responded quickly and professionally.

Bought this to deal with a leak in my loft, that had left the beams wet (with obvious water absorption), and various items in my loft were damp.
Over the 1st few days I had to empty the water tank as it was completely full within four hours. I am now using it every other day and the tank is a third to a half full.
There are 2 settings for noise levels, which I assume affects water absorption rates, but I have used the noisier setting, as I can’t hear the noise from below.
The timer can be set in half hour increments, and humidity can be set between 35 (standard level) and 90.
I have had one leak from the machine, but that’s because I accidentally knocked out the plug where the hose pipe goes (for continuous use).
When you 1st use the dehumidifier you need to remember to let it sit and settle (like you would a fridge) for several hours.
It is a bit heavy to move, especially as I had to get it in the loft.
For the price, compared to similar items, I personally think it is worth every penny.
    I would recommend this item.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBefore: Our kitchen has a wall mounted extractor and a single-glazed, non-opening window. Whilst not entirely open-plan it has no door and leads into the living room. Result, steamed up windows in kitchen and lounge which – particularly in cold weather – is slow to clear. In addition, our living room windows accumulate condensation overnight.

After: We have had this dehumidifier for less than a week and my goodness what a transformation. No condensation on living room window before or after drawing the blinds. No steam on window during cooking. Kitchen window now dry. We ran it for 24 hours initially and since then set it on the timer to run during the night. We switch it on when we cook or wash up. Haven’t used it for clothes drying yet. As for noise during operation, it isn’t intrusive, certainly less noisy than the wall extractor or boiling the kettle. We don’t have to turn up the tv to compensate anyway! My husband wears a hearing aid and prefers we use “Silent / Night-time” mode – this slows the fan. Plenty of room in the tank for the collected water – we pour around 750 ml / around 1.5 pints away each day. We haven’t seen any appreciable increase on our electricity bill. This is the first time we have used a dehumidifier and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

Compact, fairly heavy but manageable for us – able bodied 60s. . It has solved our problems regarding steam and condensation.

Great dehumidifier it made a huge difference while plugged in on our landing. Had to empty it a couple times a day at first but it soon reduced as time went on showing that it’s doing its job. The only downside is that the “quiet” mode doesn’t make much sound difference so I opt not to use it. The sound becomes white noise and you can tune it out.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAmazing machine, it has done wonders for our mildew & condensation problem already. Dehumidifier read 71 in each of our rooms and brought that down to 55ish within 10 hours use in each room and removing roughly 2-3 liters of water.
Noise level is nothing more than our standard tower fan, though the ‘silent mode’ only changes the fan speed and doesn’t lower the noise very much. Easily slept through though we always sleep with white noise anyway.
Very simple to use, set up and buttons are very self explanatory.
Only issue we have had was that while I was moving it into a different room I must have dislodged the plug on the back for the continuous drainage hose which ment the entire night the water was just pouring out the back instead of being collected, making a puddle while the machine tried to dry saidpuddle. Completely user error, but something to keep an eye on 🙂 would definitely recommend!

I had an old dehumidifier (approx. 10 years old) but it didn’t work anywhere near as efficiently as this one. My room is so dry now. Very pleased with the amount of water it extracts on a daily basis, normally about 1 to 2 litres depending on the humidity. I would definitely recommend this dehumidifier to anyone and the price was great too.

I have had this product less than a week. I initially bought it because we recently cleaned our carpets and started to notice a smell. I read a dehumidifier can help to reduce the moisture in the carpets.

I have not noticed the smell since using the dehumidifier. It is noisier than expected but I do not consider it a nuisance as I tend to put the dehumidifier on in another room and set a timer.

I have also read it can be used to reduce moisture in bathrooms since we currently have mould, I can’t comment on this at such an earlier stage. It had helped dry clothes by placed the dehumidifier in the bathroom with a clothes drying rack and dried most pieces within 24 hours.

It is heavy and therefore tricky to manoeuvre, I have considered buying a smaller dehumidifier to keep upstairs to save carrying this one up and down stairs

Now working well so far, amazing how it brings down the humidity especially inside our bedroom as condensation is too much with black moulds forming too often. First time using it from 75 to 55 overnight. Noise not too bad. Will update this review in few months time

Very pleased with the unit. People have complained about the sound made by the unit. It has a compressor and a fan which make a sound but its no more than a fridge freezer. Doesn’t bother me. Now that the humidity has settled in the room, i set it on “silent” and does it’s thing. I have no complaints .
*UPDATE* Now had the unit for a little over 6 weeks. It iis in my workshop which is garage size. It has after this time , sucked out moisture not only from the air, but from everything in there. I also use a small oil filled electric radiator. Because the atmosphere in there is dry, it feels much warmer even though the heater is on the same setting. Genuinely very satisfied.

I got this after my delonghi dehumidifier dem10 purchased from Amazon not too long ago died a fairly graphical death leaking oil all over the floor…yet the fans still remained on.

Use-case is in the shed which seems to hold a lot of humidity resulting in mould on the ceiling and everything generally being wet.
I was blown away how quickly this extracted water compared to the Dem10. It sits there 24/7 extracting automatically to the outside via a pipe which I did have to use from the old Dem10 as one was not supplied.

It’s fairly quiet too but then again in a Shed, this is never an issue.

Build-wise this looks so much better than the Dem10 – the dem10 I went through 2 damaged on arrival units before I got a good one whereas this was perfect out of the box.

I suspect it will go on for much longer but I will report back if it does not!

Great product and really gets to work as soon as its plug in. I had it on for around 3 hours and the water tank had around 2 inches of water in it so it was doing its job for sure. Could be a little more quiet but if your leaving it in another room like I am you can’t here it at all. Highly recommend to anyone that’s in need of a smallish dehumidifie

The company is really reliable. After almost 11 months, the equipment stops work and after some emails with the company to verify what happened and try solve the problem, the company sent me a band new one without any cost.

I usually delete these Emails asking for a review but just occasionally I buy something that deserves the effort. This dehumidifier was bought to solve a problem with kitchen/mould mites. It has worked superbly. It is well built, easy to use, relatively quiet and extremely efficient at dehumidifying. We have had it running continuously for a month to stop the little blighters laying eggs. Not only has it solved our issues but it’s that good it has dried out our fruit and even peeled the bananas that were on a fruit bowl hanger ! We were obviously using it on the turbo setting to solve our problem but it also has an excellent Smart setting that will efficiently keep your room at a sensible humidity level. Highly recommended unit and a very good price compared to other comparable size dehumidifiers.

I bought this on prime and it was delivered the following day. Left stood for a few hours and plugged in. I wasn’t expecting much to start with but wow. Woken up to zero condensation on the windows and a full load of washing dried (including 3 pairs of jeans). It’s certainly not silent but it’s acceptable. I was slightly worried about the electric bill but it’s no where near as bad as I thought. The air is warmer and means we don’t need the heating on this morning. I would highly recommend.

If you have a damp problem and are umming and arring whether to invest in one of these, I too was in your position. I tried those little disposable thingies that you put on your window sills. They did absolutely nothing. After two days of using this fabulous machine, my home became dry, warmer, it doesn’t smell moldy, there’s no condensation on our windows in the morning. The amount of water it pulls from the air is astonishing. I have a small 2 bed house that is quite open-plan. During the day I keep it downstairs and at night I move it upstairs. It’s easy to move. It is truly a godsend. Definitely worth the outlay. The warrenty is easy to fill in online and runs for two years, so there’s no worry over that. It was delivered very fast, well wrapped. It’s small and beautiful. I think I’m in love!

We required this unit for our study which sits over a cellar and due to the house being very old we have no cavity wall insulation which makes the room very damp and the windows are often full of condensation in the morning. The unit is perfect and the windows are dry each morning. The room feels a lot dryer too plus we don’t have to have it on all of the time as I use the timer to let it run from approx 5am until 8am and that does the job! I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We like the quality of the product as we were expecting something that wasn’t as well made! It is a very quiet machine in normal running mode plus there is a quiet mode which we haven’t used yet. (Previously we had bought similar dehumidifiers from Aldi. One of them broke down after 2 years and didn’t work too well from new). The beauty of your product is that the water container is removed from the front making it much easier to operate. (We had also bought 2 similar products from B&Q but both stopped working after 3 years. They were similar in design to this product and at first I thought that they might be from the same manufacturer). We definitely would recommend your product and it is a great price too.

I like the Dehumidifier as it is better than the last one I had. Just 2 things im not so happy about though. 1 there is a night mode that turns the fan noise down abit. But it is so loud you can’t sleep with the night mode operating. 2 the water fills up nearly to the brim. So when you go to empty the water tank. You spill some water. Other than that I am pleased.

It does exactly what we wanted it to do. It shows the humidity of the area in real time and you can see the humidity decreasing as it works away. It works great in a room with drying laundry, the clothes were dry in a couple hours even without a radiator in the room.

I don’t think I could sleep in the same room as the working machine, since I prefer silence. But I don’t see why making the machine work all night is necessary, since the machine gets the humidity down from 80% to the recommended 55% in just one hour in the bedroom.

We chose this machine because it had a handle, which makes it much easier to move from room to room. So far, it has been perfect.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorks effectively, removes a lot of water. Adjustable humidstat allows it to switch off automatically once humidity is down to the desired level.
It is noisier than most dehumidifiers and the silent option is not much different to standard operation.
Cannot comment on energy efficiency because have not measured/monitored – but humidstat avoids wasteful use when it’s already dry enough.
I am asked to review on warmth. It is not a heater, but the air that blows out is slightly warm. If you have a damp/condensation problem, then dealing with that will probably help make the room feel a bit warmer even if the actual temperature is the same.
I am pleased with this dehumidifier and think it is very good value for money.

I first tried a 30 unit and it barely did anything. Switched to this and got my humidity down from about 70% to 50% over night in a cool room, collecting over 1L of water. I was very impressed; this was more than the other unit collected in two weeks! I hooked it up to an energy reader and it doesn’t use much energy. As others have suggested, it takes a little while to start collecting water for some reason. I left it for a number of hours and nothing. I turned it off and on again and came back and it had started, and I’ve had it on and off a number of times now without any issue. It’s quite noisy, even in quiet mode (which is a little better) but I wouldn’t plan on being with this unit for a long period of time. After turning it off, I advise not taking the tank out for 5 minutes or so, as it continues to drip for a short while so you could find yourself with a little puddle. No leaks otherwise, seems to be a solid unit and I’m very happy with it.

No leaks otherwise, seems to be a solid unit and I’m very happy with it.

Not super quiet but totally tolerable. Really easy to use, just switch on. We use for drying clothes and it can dry a load on the airer in a little over 24 hours

    Nothing wrong with it.
Before my glass and wood floor was rotten as a result of water.
Now I have a permanent dehumidifier, which solves the problem.

This is a really good machine. It’s very solidly built and feels very heavy. Easy to use with an auto cutoff when the water reservoir is full. I have dropped a star though because this is the second one I have bought, I bought one of these only 6 weeks ago, and the price has jumped significantly.

It was leaking water all over the floor, issue was cap for continous drain pipe was little bit loose, after we pushed cap no water leakage at all. Reasonably quiet for compressor dehumid. Sleep with machine in silen mode is ok. Easy to use.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersSome other reviews point to having to leave this on for 24 hr or so before it starts to work. Maybe it was to do with the product not being stored correct in transit but I had this on for almost 24 hr before it collected water. I may have set humidity too high also but then set it to 45% and overnight it almost filled up. In a 24 hr period it took maybe 3-4 litres from the air.

I was tempted to send this back as I set it up, left it overnight and was disappointed to see not a drop of water in the container in a room measuring up to 60%. I’m glad I kept it as now its working like a boss and needs emptying twice a day. Its easy to empty but you do have to be careful if its full. Place a bowl beside the dehumidifier and that way you will not spill anything when emptying.

This is used to contend with drying clothes inside and makes a big difference. The price is a lot lower than similar models but this unit performs as good as any dehumidifier I have used. It is not quiet, even with the quiet setting its not quite loud but I don’t think you’d like to sleep in the same room as it. You could pay a few hundred more but I doubt you’ll find a truly silent dehumidifier as they use compressors and they use fans. Both have to make some noise.

You can set it to work at a certain humidity, however, the unit will still stay on and the fan will still run. I’d sooner it just turned off when the humidity is right but the unit needs to be able to detect the humidity to work so this unit is an ‘always on’ unit insomuch as the fan will always be spinning.

There is a hose connector to have the unit simply expel water as it takes it out of the air. It claims to take 12 litres a day but unless you have a flood its unlikely you’ll need to take that much water out of the atmosphere. To have it run continuous so you do not have to empty the tank, connect your hose and have it drain outside or into a drain indoors. To do this you’ll need to raise the unit up a little depending on where your drain is.

All dehumidifiers cost a bit to run. I think this is 300W or so and if left on all day it’s not that bad as the compressor only comes on when it’s taking water from the air. It’s the compressor that uses a fair bit of electricity not the fan.

Its easy to control, simple to set the humidity level you need (usually 45-50%) and easy to empty once you get used to it. If you live in a damp place, this will soon get the humidity out of the air leaving your home a more comfortable place to live in and more healthy a place.

The unit looks pretty modern, if you used dehumidifiers a while back you will see the difference. Its quite compact and does not take up a lot of space. It looks pretty decent and is pleasing on the eye, not taking up a load of space.

The unit has small wheels on there, enabling you move it with ease. It is fairly heavy but apart from having to move it up stairs, the wheels do most of the hard work for you. If you’re buying this for someone frail then give them a hand moving it into place for them.

All in all a good purchase. It does what it ways on the box and removes water from your home. For most people the unit will simply work out what humidity you have and keep it at a level which you tell it to. It may cost more to run the first week or so as it removes all the humidity from your rooms. After that unless you’re living in a rain forest, it should not cost that much to run.

Like I say, it took 24 hr or so to actually work but its amazing how much humidity this unit finds and removes.

Just remember, it uses a filter that needs to be removed and washed every 3 weeks. This is easy to do and takes a few minutes. You simply clean the existing filter, no need to replace.

A good product at a very decent price.

Very effective at removing water from the air. It can pull about a litre per hour so the 20litre per day claim is very justifiable. The only issue, which is common to all of these is the heat output. I bought it to try drop humidity during this heat wave but it adds more heat so the effect is negated. Probably only useful in winte

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI rarely write customer reviews, but I just had to write one for this fabulous product and top-notch company. My house was feeling a bit damp due to the British climate and laundry was taking days to dry indoors. This little machine is attractive, inconspicuous and quiet as it sits in the corner of the room working its magic. I’ve had it for over a year (just bought a second one for a friend) and I wouldn’t live without it now. Since day one it turned my house into a warm and cosy place to live. The radiators are no longer fighting the damp climate and the whole place feels so snug and comfortable. I hadn’t even realised quite how cold it had felt before. A full load of laundry (sheets, towels … even jeans) now dries in 3 – 5 hours and the heating system is so much more effective. Zero condensation on windows, and bathroom towels and the shower stall are now bone dry within 30 minutes of use. It even has a simple-to-use timer so I can hang out the laundry overnight and wake up to perfectly dry clothes. The water reservoir takes seconds to empty (or a tube can empty the water directly into a drain) and shuts off the machine when its full, so there’s no risk of overflowing onto the wood floors. There’s been no increase in my utility bill; I only wish I’d bought one sooner. I contacted the company, Inventor, to register the warranty, and to ask them a question. I don’t think I’ve ever spoken with a more polite, quickly responsive and helpful company. They made it clear THEY were there to assist ME. A true customer-centric company with a thoroughly modern product and old-fashioned values. I’ve recommended this product to a number of friends who each now love their Inventor dehumidifier as much as I do. I cannot recommend Inventor or their product highly enough! Five stars!

This is a fab unit, easy to use, neat in size with enough weight to keep it sturdy.
The chunky handle makes it easy to manoeuvre up/downstairs.
I was amazed after just one hour how much water it had collected in the trough. It’s good to know that I can use it to dry clothes in winter if required too. Pleased that it is low energy.

Golden Review Award: 77 From Our UsersThis is my 4th dehumidifier so I know how they work and what I expect.

My first one was a 20L model from a brand begin with Eb for my house, which is a bit quieter than Inventor, very little difference as you should not expect any fan dehumidifier quiet anyway, even it says silence mode! I bought an Inventor 20L after the Eb gone for good 3 years ago not long after the 2 years warranty of the Eb. Hence, I replaced it with Inventor 20L and it still running fine after 3 years.

This 12L model is for my laundry room to replace another 12L model from a brand begin with De, which let me down right after it’s ONE year warranty, very good engineering for them if I went for it again, but I am not a fool. The specs of the Inventor 12L is better than the De and the De is actually more noisy although much more expansive. I went for the De at the time because I did not know whether the Inventor 20L would last long. I also want to see a much more expansive brand would be quieter or not. It just turned out “you get what you paid” is not always true. Now the De is gone and the Inventor 20L still good after more than 3 years. Hence, an easy choice for me this time.

This 12L model is more noisy than it bigger brother 20L model. So if you have the room and want a quieter machine, I would say 20L is the one for you. However, as for laundry room and I don’t want to kill my planet, this lower power model is the right choice for me.

Please note that the Inventor 12L did not extract any moisture from the laundry room in the first 2 days. I switched it off for a day before tried again. It is working fine now. I think the problem is the courier placed it flat during transit. The machine needs to store right up like a fridge. Hope this will help if you experiencing the same problem and try that before return. I don’t like to return stuff as it always a hassle.

We left the unit turned on for an initial 24 hours. In that time the container was almost full. The unit was set up on the landing to keep the bathroom dry. It was noticable after a few hours just how much better the air tasted in the whole area. The bathroom dries after a shower in less than an hour. The water it collects is going to be used for the iron instead of bying de-ionised water. Effectively this means that the unit will more than pay for it’s own running cost.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWorks brilliantly. I’ve had a condensing dehumidifier for years. This one was to use in a different part of the house. It does exactly what it should do. A humidity level readout is new to me as my old one is very basic, and I find it very useful. It cuts off when the collection bucket is full. It is a lot lighter than my old one so is easier to move and it is nice and small. Negative points – the bucket really does fill to the brim so you have to be careful when carrying it to be emptied. It would also be helpful if the bucket was either clear or had a level indicator because with the dark plastic you can’t see how full it is. I would find that very useful. And it isn’t any quieter than my old one. You wouldn’t want to be in the room with it on for a prolonged period of time, and the quiet setting on it is because it slows it down. It is, however, still very obvious and isn’t much quieter.

I live in an area with semi damp conditions and the house itself has dry wall and large rooms. Being that we live in ENgland, you should have one of these in your household to keep moisture down to prevent mould.

This has done a great job of doing exactly that. THe room that had a mould patch no longer develops it.
It collects a lot of water in the reservoir and it’s always surprising how well this model does that job. Sometimes it does it too well.

The machine is easy to use and all you do is just turn it on and then turn it off later. Noise is quiet too in quiet mode. If you just leave the door open to the rest of the rooms and house then you are all good.

This dehumidifier was of a much better quality than I was expecting. Its very heavy and sturdy and sucks out more water than you’d imagine. Product works extremely well and is a great price for how great it is. I mostly use this to dry my washing (under the clothes airer with a shower curtin covering is all). My washing now dries much quicker than just using a clothes arier and none of the water goes into the air. It’s very cheap to run and as I’m not having to use my tumble dryer I’m saving loads on my electricity bill.

This would really help if your house is damp, or to dry washing. Even if your house isn’t damp I think that everyone should have one of these.

Easy to set up and use and that’s a plus always for an older lady on her own, so if I can work it, anyone can! So far, really pleased!

Golden Review Award: 104 From Our UsersHaving unpacked the unit and left it to settle for the recommended 2 hours while I read the rest of the book (read carefully!), I powered it up. OK, there’s a fan to suck the air in but I wasn’t expecting quite such a loud running noise (approx. 58 Db from 4 feet away). Found the silent button and pressed that. After a short pause the noise level reduced a little – the fan is noticeably quieter – but the underlying running sound doesn’t change (approx. 54 Db on half speed fan). My Decibel measuring gizmo proffered “quiet street” as the equivalent noise level. I would suggest a fan heater or cooker hood at normal extraction as a noise equivalent. The controls are relatively simple. Power on, set the humidity level you want (the display flashes what you set and then shows the current relative humidity (RH)), and leave to run. However, on perusing the book further, I was advised to leave it on in “continuous” mode for 24 hours. Continuous mode overrides the RH setting but the display counts down over time showing the real RH at whenever you check it. 6 hours continuous running more or less filled the 2 litre tank and reduced the RH from 65 to 53, so it was doing what it’s supposed to do. Switched off, emptied it and let it continue in continuous mode until I had to switch it off so I could sleep. The reason we wanted a silent mode was so we could run it in the bedroom. Sorry, too loud. I would need earplugs to sleep through it. If you like white noise to sleep to, then this is probably OK for you. Maybe one would get used to it? Anyway, after 24 hours, I’ve set the RH to 45 and left it running in normal mode and we’ll see how it goes over the next few days. When running in normal mode, it will stop once the set RH is reached and come on again once the RH has risen again. It will also stop when the tank is full. By the way, a note on the timer: You can’t set it to come on at a specific time, e.g. 8:00am, but you can set it to come on AFTER a specific period of time, e.g. in, say, 5 hours. Likewise, you can’t set it to go off at a specific time, e.g. 10:00pm, but you can set it to go off AFTER a specific period, e.g. 10 hours. And you can’t set it come on in 5 hours and then go off in another 5 hours… It has to be running to set the off time or not running to set the on time and setting the one cancels the other. Apart from these little oddities, the unit itself performs well. Summary: compact and a tad heavy but has castors so it can be rolled round a space, well-made, somewhat noisy but efficient, and easy to empty tank. It’s a pity about the so-called silent mode that isn’t but if it gets rid of my damp bedroom problem, I’ll be happy.

We recently flooded so wanted to get a couple of cheaper units so that we could remove some of the moisture in the air, we have been very impressed with these units, they work well and have reduced the percentage moisture from 80+ to 60% in a couple of days.
We have a more expensive pro breeze unit as well, and to be honest although the water tank is smaller, these units work just as well.

Bought to replace an elderly non-digital dehumidifier which eventually gave up the ghost. In comparison, this machine extracts more water and is easier to control using the time-lapse function and feedback from the humidity level indicator. In current conditions of perpetual heavy rain, using it in an unheated conservatory, this display has proved a very useful feature.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe live in a small bungalow with 4 rooms which suffer terribly from damp and condensation. We tried several cheap disposable water collectors (I can’t call them de-humidifiers) that didn’t touch it. We had a look at all the electric models on offer and plumped for the Inventor 12L. Set up was simple, the unit is a decent size but not too big, we switched it on around lunchtime. We put it in the bedroom because the damp worries us the most in there. I had a quick look in the evening and the unit was nearly full! Emptying is was a doddle, I have to say I was surprised how much water it had collected. It was an eye-opener. As a precaution It was emptied again before we went to bed, it was nearly full again by the morning. It’s no surprise we had so much damp! But the benefits are clear to see, previously our windows in every room litterally dripped with condensation, even the door handle used to be wet to the touch. But it’s nothing short of a miracle…..it has all gone, there isn’t a trace, in any room! We can’t believe it.
Is it noisy? Well it’s not whisper quiet, but it doesn’t disturb our sleep.
Is it inconvenient to have to empty it? No it isn’t… the benefit far outweighs the inconvenience.
Does it work? These days it’s uncommon to find a product that does what it promises, but yes it does, and brilliantly so.
There is a 2 year guarantee as well which is generous.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUsing it to dry out camper after looding last week, works best in combination with plenty of heat but I think that’s due to my unique situation (no fault of the dehumidifier) as the wooden floor and insulation beneath it need to give up their moisture into the air for this to have much effect. The first run the instructions advise running on CONT, for 24 hrs, which suited me just fine, took humidity down from 70 to 40 the first day and down to 30 the next, though the old girl is old and some poor door seals so could be onto a losing battle to get any lower. just not the weather for replacing seals right now, far too cold and wet for outside work and the prospect of my ground floor flat flooding had me occupied with sandbags etc!
Thank the Lord I fitted a diesel heater (also bought on Amazon, great deal too!) so I can move hot air feed round inside to dry carpet and wood, therefore making that moisture available for removal

Although it doesn’t run silently the noise level, at lest for me, is insignificant. Looking at the moisture it extracted on its first day I am very pleased. It’s too early to rate its energy efficiency although, looking at its wattage requirement, I feel the footprint will be small.

Bye bye damp!!

Another plus, put all the washing on clothes airer in the smallest room with the dehumidifier, close the door over and few hours later the washing is dry and room smells of fresh laundry! Much quicker than drying it on the airer alone and cheaper than running the tumble dryer!

Although the ‘silent’ mode is fairly quite it is definitely not silent…

Works very well, consistantly removing around 1.5l a day from a small flat, I bought as I have a big condensation problem, and so far this has worked great to minamise/stop it. Only thing stopping it from 5 is the noise, it’s fine during the day as you dont really hear it, but couldn’t have it in or too near the bedroom as its loud enough to disturb, and the silent button does nothing to help that really maybe a few db but nothing noticable! That being said it is fantastic for the price at removing moisture and I’d be happy to purchase agai

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am very happy with this model.
Incredible results, in the center of the corridor of my house, approximately 1 liter and a half every day.
    Very good product.
To dress clothes is also wonderful, I use it in the kitchen, bathroom and when I lay clothes, I notice the savings on the electricity bill since I did not use the dryer.
