Great little product but special praise goes to JLL as the first one delivered developed a fault within a week but JLL were bang on it…. They worked through the problem with me and then with no quibble rectified the problem. so happy with the recumbent bike even more pleased with good customer service. thanks
I bought this to aid in a recovering of an injury.
It was easier to put together – being 6’2 it really could do with another notch to make it a touch longer, i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone above 6’1
definitely worth covering seat and back rest with a towel – one so your bum doesn’t get numb!

I love this bike. I can’t use a normal bike because of my back problems, so this is perfect. But the seat isn’t comfy, so I stuck an old pillow on it-sorted!

Safe exercise bike
Simple to assemble. My wife who has mobility problems needed an exercise bike and the recumbent layout means she can get on and off with ease. It is of sturdy construction.

Bought this for my mum and she freakin adores it. She got a TV set up in front of it and plays videos of people cylcing through the Austrian mountanside and cycles along with it. It’s the coolest. Relatively difficult to build – think IKEA furniture, not Homebase furniture – so bring a pal when you’re setting it up. But comfy seat, great display, sturdy piece of kit.
Bought this to train as disabled and need to get my weight down. It’s easy to put together and the tension settings are great.
On the down side, the side handle bars could do with being a little higher/adjustable. Would be nice if the moved to to workout your arms.
The seat is good but needs more lumbar support. I get over this by padding it out with cushions.

I’ve been using my recumbent bike daily for about six months now. Take your time setting it up, it’s not that it’s complicated but give yourself half an hour to assemble it. It’s a great way to exercise when you don’t want to go outside!

This came within the time stated unfortunately it was delivered with a broken screen. I contacted the seller who then sent another one out which took a couple of days so couldn’t us it until then.
When it came I could use the product and have to say that its a sit down bike! I can easily do 40 – 50 minutes on this while watching a DVD or Netflix and get off it with out the disappointment of having a sore bum which I would definitely have if I was on a bike. Great diversity to the bike riding and a reasonably good product for the price I paid. If you want much better quality you need to spend another 150 – 200 quid but I was not disappointed.
Got this for my Daughter who suffers with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, she finds it easier with the back support and having her arms at her side, rather than the traditional way of riding a bike.

After 3 months of use , it held really well . i use it to watch TV and get fit 🙂 , works well and it is rather a fantastic workout . very comfortable , i use it for 45 min 5 days a week .

Excellent price. Comfortably adjusts to short legs and very easy to assemble even for someone with no flat- pack expertise. Missing screws & bolts immediately posted first class so also very impressed with customer service. It even comes with the right size screwdriver for the tiny screws which attach the programmer to the main body.

Very fast delivery. Easy to assemble, quiet operation. This is the first time I have used a recumbent exercise bike, and with the pedal axle only 22.5cm above the floor at first I found my heels scuffing the floor from time to time (my feet are size 9). This no longer happens so I assume I have subconsciously adjusted the angle of my feet to compensate for this in adapting to using this type of exercise bike.
I purchased this a few months ago but chose to wait a while before giving any feedback. It certainly hasn’t disappointed. Very comfortable to use, clear displays, and good resistance. Also a nice compact size for my spare bedroom. I would certainly recommend this.
I have reached the age when knee joints become a problem and a treadmill for exercise simply exacerbates the damage to the knees. No exercise means more weight and an increase in loss of mobility; a vicious circle. It was my doctor who recommended a Recumbent Exercise Bike for improving my fitness and enabling me to lose weight subject to a sensible regime. I now have the RE100, it has only just been asssembled and I had my first experience of it only yesterday. I know already that I am going to like it. It is comfortable, the adjustment is perfect, and it was easyto operate. It seems that there are many more people who have my problem and I believe that this may be a solution. I intend to update the review in another month.

The bike is great, i’m quite short (5ft) and my son is slightly shorter (4ft10) and we are both able to use this with no problem. Easy to put together and all tools you need are included. Great product and the level of resistance is perfect, the half way resistance is enough to get the heart rate up which is just what I wanted.

Many have reviewed this item as an assembled piece of equipment so I thought that a review of the ease of construction could be useful.
I think that three and a half stars would be my verdict, so JLL have been given the benefit of the doubt.
Although recumbent exercise cycles are deemed suitable for the less athletic, the same cannot be said for the assembly. To give some idea, I would suggest that you would need to be able to assemble a small flat-pack bookcase to be able to tackle the RE100, with possibly a greater ability to handle a heavy item.
The task is not as difficult as a first glance at the instructions would lead you to believe. I think that JLL are sending out leaflets that refer to older incarnations of this equipment. Basically there are several large parts held together with bolts. The bolts are already screwed into the appropriate places; the assembler simply has to undo them and use them to fix whichever two pieces [s]he is dealing with. The only exception to this are the two bolts that are packed with the pedals. These are used to join the seat assembly to the main frame.
My first difficulty came at the outset. The two cylindrical pieces that form the front and rear feet have to be bolted onto the two ends of the bottom rail. The line drawings are not clear as to which is which. The shorter one goes with the ‘engine’, i e the front, and the longer one at the rear. At the design stage it would have been very easy to have made the distances between the bolt holes on the respective pieces different so that it would be impossible to get it wrong. JLL could make things much easier by using a series of photographs for the instructions.
The putting together of the two pieces of the bottom rail is easy in theory but tricky in practice. One slides into the other and how far A is pushed into B is determined by the length of the legs of the user. The instructions advise that this is so but the calculation can’t be made until the seat is in place. See Below. This operation takes care. The electrical wires must not be damaged, the movement is stiff and the ‘engine’ end is heavy.
When putting together the seating assembly, I would suggest that you attach the seat to the bracket and then fix the bracket to the body. It is then easier to attach the backrest.
It is only when you have fitted the seat that you can determine how far the the seat has to be from the pedals for comfortable riding. I found that the sliding in and out of the two parts of the bottom rail to be the most difficult part of the whole operation. It would be easier with two people, one to hold the ‘engine’ steady and the other to pull and push. If two people of disparate height want to use this machine I think they could be in some difficulty; it would not be convenient to keep changing the length between sessions. You should also note that the avertised six seat positions refers to this adjustment. The seat height is fixed.
Apart from pointing out that the instructions for the use of the computer have been written by a probably far-eastern person whose grasp of English is only a little better than my grasp of Canonese, that is about it. This construction is, perhaps, not for the faint-hearted but those with medium-strength metaphorical hearts and with reasonably strong bodies should be able to cope

I have alway preferred the recumbent bike to the upright bike, I have used this bike now and I am pleased with this purchase also the price I paid was an additional bonus. The resistance is done by magnets and works well, it is not as big or heavy as those in the gyms but for domestic use it is more than adequate.

This bike suits all te family with different levels of fitness. To adjust size is fairly easy and you have the bonus of monitoring your efforts.

Very good bike for the money. Extremely quiet and so much comfier for those with mobility issues. Isn’t in your face either like a lot of machines. Had reason to contact the supplier but customer service element was fantastic. No hassle bobbing on in front of the TV.

Just started using – VERY quiet – very pleased so far.
I bought this exercise bike for my husband for Christmas at his request. When he put it together we found that two of the plastic end caps for the stabilizer bars were broken which was annoying but in no way affected the functionality of the machine. Replacements were sent immediately with no fuss and arrived very quickly.
My husband is very pleased with the bike which he uses every day as part of his cardio-vascular workout following a heart bypass operation. However, he does find that due to the link in the bar that connects the front and back it wobbles somewhat. The screw has been tightened as far as it will go but it has made no difference. This is the reason for the failing star. Otherwise he is extremely happy with it.

Great bike, I personally found it very easy to put together. It’s not to heavy so can be moved round if necessary, not to large so doesn’t take up to much room. Not sure how accurate the monitor is but does give a good work out, has a dail so you can go up a level and make ur work out more effective. Seems quite sturdy and doesn’t make any noise.

exactly what was needed. i have lower back problems upright bikes cause a problem this is ideal.
I love this bike. It’s so easy to pop on for half an hour, and get some decent exercise without going to the gym. It is very stable and seems quiet. It can be moved with the rollover bits on the crosspieces of the horizontal bars but I think it’s probably best left in a fixed position. I can read a book or listen to/watch something on my ipad while I pedal, and the time just passes. It seems to be a very good bike for the money, and I find it reasonably comfortable to sit for longer periods. I believe you can get a gel cushion which might be nice, but it’s not essential. The back support is fine, and the changing display of time, distance, calories and speed is motivating. My husband built it, and his only complaint was that it wasn’t clear what way to thread through some wires. The pulse measure doesn’t work, so I guess he chose wrongly.

My bike arrived on the day it said it would and I must say I am really pleased with it. Assembly instructions easy to follow. I assembled it myself and I am a 63 yr old lady. I would recommend assembling where you are going to use the bike as its heavy to move later you would need a hand from another person. The bike is quiet and quite comfy although depending on the time you use it my bottom got a bit sore after 30 mins. My chiropractor recommend cycling as I have a back problem. I have used my excercise bike for exactly a week now and already I feel an improvement in my back. Love it.

Perfect!!! My husband just put this together for me, now I’m only 4′ 10″ tall and this I can reach the pedals. Looking forward to getting fitter, healthier & losing weight, this bike was worth every penny. It also has great adjustable resistance if you’re feeling brave. This is the same as they have in the gyms. Have your very own gym at home.

This is a great bike for the price. Quite easy to put together but needs two people. Comfortable to sit on and silent when used. Good range of tension settings. Usually start with setting 1/2 for 30 mins.
Wear trainers on your feet for a comfortable work out. Would imagine that this machine would be hard to use if your very overweight, tall and have large feet as they would catch on the floor all the time. It’s a question of positioning.

I’m not a fan of cardio because i lift weights, and I find cv work boring, however having this piece of kit makes cardio tolerable. It’s compact conveiant and doesn’t take up much room. I just place it in front the TV and I’m good to go from a least 45 min.if I keep this up I should be cut in no time!

Brilliant! I was expecting something a bit sub-standard for the price, but it is really well made, easy to construct, compact, silent and getting me fitter while I watch box sets. I highly recommend it.
