Advertised with 7 year warranty - box states 10 years!
Replaced my old unit that is the same make and recently gave out. On opening the box the unit stated that lasts for 10 years not 7 years.

Easy to set up with clear instructions. It is a basic Carbon Monoxide alarm. Value for money does the job.

You have no excuse for not having one of these in your home or more if you want, they are really easy to set up just stick the batteries in that are included and press the test button and that’s it just put it where you need it.
I test mine once a week by pressing one button simply for peace of mind, it has a manufacturers date on it which is 2011 and that’s fine as it says renew every 10 years from activation which is you putting the batteries in. If you need one then get one.

Seems decent and good value. Hasn’t gone off yet but I guess that is a good thing! Check the date on the product is recent so you get the 7 years shelf life.

very easy to use and this saved lives I purchased this for my grandparents and within 30 mins it was going off . turns out they had a small leak in there caravan if we didn’t have this I don’t know what would have happened .

Decent price to pay for some piece of mind.
Seems decent and at a decent price. Some reviews mention it picks up gas leaks but this isn’t true. I haven’t wall mounted it as it is quite small plus I wanted to check the levels in the kitchen and in the location of our ancient boiler.
Very loud. Just what you need
I ordered a few of these to put in different rooms of the house. Easy to install and use, pretty much install and then forget (make sure to test periodically). The volume of them is LOUD. Which is what you want.
I had an older version of these in our last house so went for these again when we moved.

Just replaced my older one of these after having it for 7 years, on the advise of a gas engineer who said they ought to be replaced every 7 years. Went for the same type as never had any issues with the previous one. If you don’t have one of these, why not? Get one, it could save your life.

I literally popped the batteries in, it gave a test alarm…..my god it’s loud so you will know if you have any carbon monoxide issues as I think the neighbourhood will hear it! It has a 7 year warranty on it with was also great!
There’s really not a great deal to say about this. I guess I have to take it on good faith that it’s working well and will protect me if there’s a problem.
Hopefully, it will just sit there and work away in the background – and for 99% of people who buy this, they won’t ever be aware that it’s there. So, because it’s one of those ‘install and forget’ pieces of kit, there’s not much more I can add.
It looks good, it feels well made, and I hope to God it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. From my point of view, I’ve got it installed high up in the room (not too high – there’s some decent guidance provided in the leaflet), it’s out of sight and I really want to try to forget it’s there. So far, so good.
I suppose the only way I’ll really know for sure that it’s working is if it sounds an alarm. In the meantime, all I’ve got to go on is the reliability and trustworthiness of the manufacturers name. And that seems OK to me.

Ok so there no full digital display, but there are 2 coloured LEDS and a test button. What more do you want, are you going to sit looking at it for its whole 10yr life? Comes with an initial set of alkaline batteries. All’s cool; just hope it works 🙂
Works and well priced
Not a lot to say about this, since it seems to work fine, and is priced well.
It doesn’t have a digital display like the more expensive ones, which can then show even non-dangerous levels of CO.
However if you just want a cheap and cheerful basic detector, this should serve you just fine.

Does the job, the noise out of the alarm is very high, so you will straight away identify that something is wrong in the property that may require immediate action. The alarm small, easy to use and keep more or less invisible in the house.
Easy to set up - reassurance
use this in a room with living flame fire with an original chimney. Reassuring to know we are safe. There is an intermittent flash (not too bright- just right) so we know it’s still active doing its job.

The item appears to be a perfect replacement for an expired unit. Installation was easy, taking care not to over-tighten the back-plate fixing screws to avoid distorting the plate. Pressing the test button confirmed correct operation by emitting a loud test-tone and bright warning lamp sequence.

We purchased 2 of these and have placed one on a shelf in the kitchen and the other on a shelf next to the combi boiler we already have fire alarms but you can’t be too careful with fumes from silent gas killers

Loadable batteries
Unlike our previous CO alarm, I am pleased to say that this has AA batteries which can be replaced.
Our previous alarm has sealed batteries and when the alarm had reached its end-of-life, the batteries were still working.
Unless I smash open the old alarm, I do not know how to stop it squeaking!

Ear drum is in pieces
Alarm test burst the ear drums. My grandad thought he was back in the blitz and ran for his life under the table. Took some smelling salts and a strong bottle of whiskey to bring him round. He drunk the lot. I have no carbon monoxide leak as proven thanks to this wonderful machine. I now also have no whiskey. 10/10 best buy ever.

Very simple instructions for use. Like the fact that it can just be placed on a surface and does not have to be screwed up like a smoke alarm. Bought for our caravan. Small and neat design.

Just had the gas boiler serviced and decided to update the existing alarm. Looks smart, works well and does everything expected of it but with the hope that it will never have to be put to the test! For the price it’s fine and don’t know what the more expensive one’s do that this doesn’t.

Boat Safety Scheme.
This is a small, neat and unobtrusive unit which fully complies with the requirements of the Boat Safety scheme. I have installed mine in the “breathing zone” at the head of my bed so I have no doubt if it were ever to trigger I would be out of bed like a shot. It is very loud indeed and and easy to operate. I would certainly recommend it for all Boat, caravan and RV users where space can be at a premium and the “Silent Killer” could lurk.

Great device at a fantastic price, a must have device if you have a central heating boiler. Easy to set up just install batteries and place accordingly – as it says a life saver if you have any boiler issues concerning the burning of you gas to fire your boiuler.

I was rudely awoken by a British Gas employee who had been called out to my neighbour’s house regarding a suspected Carbon Monoxide Leak. The neighbour’s monoxide detector had triggered and called out the Gas Board, who could not locate any leak in their property – so investigated around my house.
Given that I was genuinely asleep when he called and had had a boiler issue the prior weekend, I was a bit panicked thinking that I might have been getting gassed in my own own. Thankfully, there was no issue, but at that point I realised that my own carbon monoxide detector had expired earlier in the year – having owned it for about 15 years…
So at that point, I made a snap decision to get one delivered next day by Amazon! Less than 24-hours later it arrived. It came with three batteries, ready to go. Everything was easy to set up and install. There’s a helpful test feature that you can acquaint yourself with to see how loud the alarm is, so I tested all this and placed it in the recommended spot around my boiler and cooker.
Everything works perfectly so I’m very happy. The service from Amazon was good and the convenience of knowing that I could get the alarm the next day was good. At this price, there’s no reason that every house with a gas supply shouldn’t have one of these.

Looks ideal and ticks all the boxes. Either free standing or screws are included to attach to wall. Even let’s you know when it has to be replaced after 10 years but check the date of manufacture mine was Dec 2018 so I assume the 10 years starts from there but I am quite happy with that.

i mean, i haven’t tested that it actually works, obviously, but i think it does? i’m not gonna intentionally cause a CO leak to test it. but i sleep better at night. it’s in my boiler cupboard, and I have another one downstairs near my open fire.

The key thing is that it works when it is needed and that is not something easily to test or workout. The test button is fine and makes a decent sound though. Was easy to place on the wall and hopefully it will be useful protection if I ever come to need it.
