The Mr Beams Motion-Sensing Light-Sensing Battery Powered LED Stair Light is part of the Mr Beams line of intelligent wireless LED lights. Neat uni
Works well on outside stair well. Illumination isn’t that bright but certainly sufficient to identify ten steps ahead. Good unit. Used screws to fix to wall.

Value for money
Nothing amazing, but reasonable durable and bright. I was slightly disappointed to find that this only charges with type C batteries, rather than additionally or optionally through USB. But that’s a minor thing as the batteries seem to have lasted well without change for quite a few months.
Durability is good because it’s been out there in our drive over the winter and not had any problems.
Overall good value for money as a simple way to light up a drive or doorway without needing wiring.

This was well worth the money, nice bright light for a garden step. It’s about 4′ from front door and comes on when opening door and from the other side it’s about 12′ when it detects you. It may come on sooner but I have obstacles possibly blocking motion . I have it screwed to the fence about 6″from ground . It is nice and bright and illuminates the step perfectly

Great product have used it for a few months.Given adhesive a 3/5 as this needs to be screwed to the wall. The rest is perfect for a small area. The light detection is only 1 metre so really handy when you are looking for keys or a difficult to open door! Light strength is good

Great quality
Have had other Mr Beams products for several years and can state that they are superb quality at an excellent price. Have no hesitation recommending this as I will be buying more and have already recommended to friends.
Reliable
Always good for motion detection and light (had this make before). I have this sitting on a wall held by ornamental squirrel, as there is nowhere to mount it in this position. My last ones came with a steel shaft for garden verges but couldn’t find one this time.

Bought this to provide some light at the top of the steps down onto my lawn. Mounted it at about 18 inches off the ground so that it would be triggered by the dogs as well as by humans. It gives off a good light, enough to stop any trips. I thought it would eat batteries galore but nearly 11 weeks after setting it up it’s still going strong with the original batteries. It’s continued to work through heavy rain, wind and snow and I’m really impressed with it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or to buy another if I needed light in another area of the garden.
Does the job very well
I am very pleased with this product which I am using to illuminate the entry area of the front door. It has been rather dark because a tree obscures the street lights and it is inset by a metre or so. I was easy to set up and provides a first rate light.

Does exactly what I need it to do. Lights up a few steps at a time, brightness is perfect for my needs and switches off quickly as well. Also has a dim continuous on mode at night but I don’t use that. Batteries seem to last well, I use rechargeable ones.

Comes on as I get a couple of metres from it, only slight downside is that most of the light comes out forwards rather than downwards towards the key hole.
But still perfectly acceptable, especially if like me you don’t want the trouble of fitting a mains one up.

Ideal for what I needed.
Bought this so I had a light outside the front door for when it was dark and trying to unlock toe door.
I have installed it in the porch ceiling and it works great. The brightness is just right for seeing the lock and being able to see and the motion detection us perfect.
Would highly recommend if like me you’re not wanting a mains connected security light.
Good quality produc
I purchased these because I have had some of Mr Beams other products for several years and have found them to be very good particularly the battery life. The lights that I have just purchased are for lighting up steps and level changes in the garden. They work very well. As we have several cats going in and out of the house umpteen times per night, I wanted to reduce the number of times that they set off the lights. One way is to mount the lights fairly high but then the illumination at ground level is reduced. The other way that I found was to mask off the bottom half of the sensor with black adhesive tape. One point to mention is the small piece of white plastic film that is included. I could not imagine what this was for and it was only when I read the troubleshooting section of the instruction that it became clear – it is for sticking on the front of the light under the LED to reflect more light out. Surely this should have been in the installation instructions because I suspect most people only read the troubleshooting section when they are having problems. Apart from this small niggle the lights seem very good and I would expect to get at least a years worth of use out of the batteries

Works well and batteries lasting a long time
Excellent. Bought so that people can see the steps up to house which are in the pitch black when dark. I have one near the bottom and top and they light the whole lot up brilliantly. Option to adjust the sensors (I left mine on the supplied settings) in the weather sealed battery compartment. So far the batteries have lasted since install (about 9-10 at writing) so impressed and bought another one for some other steps.

Typically excellent and reliable Mr. Beams product.
Can’t really comment on battery life because it’s only been up for a month, but in terms of fulfilling its function, motion detection and ease of installation this is an excellent piece of equipment which completely lives up to my high expectations of Mr Beams.
Delivery and packaging also excellent.

Does what i wanted.
All ok so far. Comes on and off as it should. I take it out on my side wall at dusk for light when i go out for a ciggie when it gets dark. I bring it in before bed. Figure it will last longer this way.

Finally, one of these motion sensors that has the option of about a minute ‘on’ factor. Seems so many others run for 15-30 seconds, which is simply not long enough should you need to visit the toilet during the early night-time hours when dark.

Handy ligh
Great solid feeling little light used by front door, casts just enough light and the sensor works great. If it has a minor fault I would prefer it to be screwed permanently to the wall, as it just hooks on two mounting screws and can be lifted off, but you wouldnt know this by looking at it.
