Bought two packs because they were a bargain. I’ve only put one on the wall in my bathroom so far but it’s perfect! You don’t realise how handy it is until you have kids that are woken by the flick of a light switch! Silent midnight weeing! Perfect!

Quality plastic body, designed to last I would expect. All 3 in the pack I ordered work as required. Strongly packaged and promptly delivered. Needed for bathrooms in a house in Africa where the electric supply is unreliable. These will be more convenient than torches and safer than candles and obviously very effective being automatic when children are going in.
Just as described in the advert. I shall be more than happy. Good value for money. Glad I spotted them. I bought the 12-pack batteries as well. Got to get them from somewhere!

We bought these for our gram who gets up at night, we put them in her hall and bedroom so she doesn’t fumble around looking for light switches, it is sensitive and works very well when she gets up she does two steps and it sets off, the light is good enough for her to make her way to the bathroom, fantastic items

Love these battery powered sensor lights. I have one in every room and it saves me putting light on and off as I pass through a room. Battery lasts for ages as light goes off after 30 seconds. Several friends have seen mine and bought some themselves. Proved very useful in a power cut enabling easy location of alternative brighter and non sensory light source.

Our hall light is no where near our front door so got one of these to sit on the key shelf. Absolutely brilliant. Put another one in the cupboard under the stairs and one on the stairs so we can see when it is slightly darker.

Used outdoors to light the side of my house. Stuck on to the fence an no issues. Only cmes on when I walk past which I what I want.

Time is short though. About 30 secs but that’s what it says so its fine

I bought the smaller version last year and found it rather useful. This model is similar except it, apparently, weatherproof so it can go outside and slightly brighter at 20 lumens against the small one with 15 lumens. The small one takes AAA batteries while this one takes AA ones.
This is almost twice the height od the smaller unit. A plus on this one is that there is a plate which enables you to fix the light to a wall.
When I bought it on offer this was less than the small one. The offer only lasted a day and is now not looking so cheap.

I’ve been impressed with these. I have them indoors and outdoors.

In the bathroom so that the children don’t have to turn the main light on in the night but can see where they are going.

Outside the dogs sleep area for when she takes a stroll in the night.

On the patio for quick trips to the bins in the garden.

Used on steps with very little human traffic (or local cats), these are fantastic lights providing an element of safety and most importantly, don’t creat a harsh beam which results in loss of night vision. In this quiet spot I would hope that the batteries will last well.

I originally bought these for my elderly Mum , and placed one on the landing and one in her bathroom. To say she is pleased with them is an understatement. I have lost count of the times she has thanked me for them, and I feel that I have added to her safely on night time bathroom visits. Because I really only needed to use two in her small house, I took the third one back home and put it on our landing. Not because I thought I needed it, but really just to use the 3rd one up rather than leave it lying in a drawer somewhere. Well I have to say its brilliant. The light level is just right, and the battery lasts for months and months. I am really really impressed with these simple and efficient little lights…and to think I didn’t realise I even needed one !!

These lights are excellent. I have these positioned on my landing, they give enough light to help my twins if they wake up in the middle of the night. They are much better than the plug in ones and look more expensive. They are easy to put up to.

Highly recommended, with moderate use in an attic, still haven’t had to replace batteries. Can be stuck up or screwed, so couldn’t be easier to install and use. Light not amazingly bright but acts as a good nightlight.

Surprisingly good, work well to about 8 feet and just enough illumination to allow me to find the right key to get in the back door!

Also have two in my garage, which doesn’t have electricity. Just enough that I can find my way between my bikes and to a torch if needed.

Dropped 1 star as it would nice if they were just a little brighter, but enough for basic vision in a normally dark area.

Provides a bright white light, facing downwards so doesn’t blind anyone when placed a low level. Perfect for steps outside. Have stuck to far corner of a window and it hasn’t come loose and drilled to a wall. Ran out of batteries within 4 months of not much use so continuing to monitor battery life.

In the house I have an airing cupboard and a general “under the stairs” cupboard without any electric lighting. I only use these rooms for a few minutes a day but it has been annoying trying to find things. There isn’t enough natural light for solar lamps so I tried a pck of these battery operated lights and have found them ideal. I put in regular duracell batteries over a month ago and they are still nice and bright. What I like about the lights is that they are motion activated so I don’t have to pull on a cord to operate them. As I open the door they light up and auto swith off about 30 seconds later.

They are easy to fix up, you have a choice of a sticky pad or two little screws and took about a minute each to fix.

They use bright LED lights and in a 3 pack only work out at 8 each – recommended

These Mr Beams three pack of lights are brilliant – quite literally, as they are very bright with the one little superbright LED. However, they do vary slightly in delay time – one waits until we walk past to turn itself on, the other two come on immediately (we’ve swapped them round and the result is the same). We used them on the stairway (top and bottom) and in the bathroom so we don’t have to turn on any lights at night. They never fail to switch on when you walk past and the batteries don’t often need changing (3 months on average). The fixings are straightforward too – mine just stick to the wall on the plate provided so it is easy to lift them off to change the batteries. Some of the more recent LED sensor lights I’ve seen have an adjustable time for the light to stay on – between 20-30 seconds – this would have been a handy option.

Bought these for night trips from bed to bathroom, as you do. They light my way safely, staying on just long enough, each in turn. And I have one in a cupboard which does a great job too. No idea of battery lifespan as yet. Certainly a good buy so far.

Good enough that I bought another set.

I’m using them outside and they’ve worked almost perfectly, had one that just stopped working but after bringing it inside and moving the batteries in and out it started working again. Not sure if it got a bit too wet one day for what it can cope with or a dodgy connection, but it has worked just fine ever since.

Disappointed to find they needed 4 batteries each but that means you can put them exactly where you need them. They work really well and give a good light. Great not having to put mains lights on when you have to walk about in the dark – you may save money that way.

Great for hallways / stairs / bathrooms or anywhere where you don’t want to turn the lights on in the night and blind yourself in the process.

These are great for the night feeds or when you don’t want to put the main lights on during the night. Although we no longer do the night feeds we still use them. We have one in the kitchen, one in our little girls room and one in the hallway. The batteries last ages too! Bought them a few months back and only changed the batteries once.

These are such useful little lights. We keep them in the garage and they give enough light to get to the freezer, tumble dryer etc. Also, because they are battery operated and not wired in, they can be picked up and put anywhere. When our grandchildren come to stay we put one on the landing and one in the bathroom at night time. Handy for the garden on summer evenings too. Very versatile and would recommend them.

I have installed two of these at the top of the stairs and one in the bathroom, primary so my daughter can see her way to the bathroom if she gets up in the night; and having recently removed the stair gate these illuminate her way. The product is just about as wide as the top post so you don’t even notice they are there. During the day or if the main ceiling light is on they do not come on so all round a good product in my opinion.

The only reason I would not give a five star rating is because it could do with an on/off switch to prevent it coming on when there is still plenty of light.

  25. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

Yep – I was pretty impressed by these. They were brighter than I expected and work just fine at two front doors, giving enough light to see the steps and the key-hole, and in an indoor cupboard. Only thing I would say is that it being winter and being in the Highlands of Scotland, I’ve not used alkaline batteries, due to the potential low temperatures. I used Energizer ultimate lithium batteries, which work much better in sub-zero temperatures in outdoor equipment.

Great to put on the landing and in the bathroom. Stops the children putting the lights on when going to the toilet in the night – and then forgetting to switch them off meaning I get woken up and have to go and turn the main lights off. Thank you Mr Beams.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe landing is quite dark and we have used these outside each bedroom door leading to the bathroom and an extra one in the bathroom. It means that it’s not necessary to put the landing and bathroom light on resulting in no lights being left on during the night. The motion sensor is really good and they only stay on for around 30 seconds. the light is very bright considering they are battery operated.
A very good edition. I am now going to buy similar ones for outdoors.

These are the best thing I have bought in a while. I have then strategically placed and going to the loo or into the kitchen at night I don’t need the electric light on.
The light is dim, but ample light for getting around..
Some people put them on the skirting board, mine are high, above light switch level. They cover a bigger area.
    Highly recommended.

This is the third set that I’ve bought; these are really useful to have. I’ve used them outside near a step that is out of wired-in lighting’s realm of illumination. We have two in the hall; they help us find the light switch which isn’t in the best of positions. They don’t turn on until it is dark enough to start needing them (no adjustment available). The light is enough to allow safe movement but you couldn’t read by them. We’ve had some for about a year and we haven’t needed to replace batteries.

I purchased these to minimise the problems we have with my wife and I waking each other up with different work schedules. One unit is more than enough to light the bathroom for morning ablutions without awakening each other. The unit is mounted near the ceiling (using a pair of medium Command Strips which fit perfectly – the supplied stickies are permanent). The sensor gets movement coming into the bathroom every time (3ft to the side) but occasionally misses movement directly below it (whilst sat on the toilet!). I would suggests you anticipate this and mount with anticipated movement to the side or direct front not below.

The big disappointment was that each unit needs so many AA batteries. Which of course are not included. The price is not quite the whole story.

I have to say I was impressed with these little fellows. I brought them to put inside a built in cupboard which had no light and they are perfect for the job. Having read other reviews, I have even put one in the loo to save turning on the light in the middle of the night – and it is great. I can see these also being a godsend when the grandchildren come to stay to save leaving the landing light o

We use these as night lights for our hallway. They provide plenty of light and have a good range of sensitivity. Shame the sensor cannot be adjusted for light conditions as they often come on when its not really that dark. However we’ve installed rechargeable batteries in them so its hardly a hassle or expense as the batteries last ages.

    Excellent concept.
I’ve had these 6months and make a huge difference at night time.
Much cheaper than buying expensive smart lights.
My own negative is that the lumens is not described and are quite low,
stronger leds would be better (and yes i’d be happy to change the batterys more frequently (not that i’ve had to change them yet)

These have made a great difference to my wife and I. If you are unsteady on your feet and need to get up during the night to use the loo, a couple of these carefully placed on the floor, out of the way (under a bedside table or against the skirting board) mean that you have light when you need. Very impressed with them. They’re compact and neat and unnoticeable during the day (they only come on in the dark when they detect movement). They also don’t keep you awake, as they automatically switch off after 30 seconds when they stop detecting movement. We found them to be a top buy.

I’ve had these for almost a year and ‘er indoors has said that they are the best thing I’ve ever purchased! I guess that includes her wedding ring? Anyway, I’ve just replaced the batteries in the most used one (after a year) and our little gem provides us with enough light in the bathroom to make night visits easy to see without burning our eyeballs switching on the main lights. This would be perfect for an en suite bathroom – no light to disturb the sleeping other half and it stays on long enough after you leave the room to see yourself back into bed without walking into spurious furniture. We would be lost without our fabulous little Mr Beams lights.

The reviews here on amazon seemed to good to be true, but having used one of these for a few months I have to agree with them — this is a great product. Perfect for the bathroom; it gives enough light without being too bright, and avoids having to turn the main light on (which also starts the noisy extractor fan).

    I’d recommend to anyone.

UPDATE: One year later I am able to say this light has been used several times a night by various family members (and even on dark evenings as it more fun than turning the main light on.). One set of batteries lasted nearly the full year. Pretty impressive. Excellent product.

These are great. Wouldn’t be without them. The light is powerful so saves on electricity too. Reacts to movement when light is inadequate and so conserves battery. I keep one in my hallway and bathroom. Also good for cupboards, wardrobes, conservatories, kids and elders bedrooms. A good choice for campers or people in caravans. Takes four AA batteries.

I’ve fitted one of these in the bathroom for use overnight when a subdued light is desirable.
It works very well with the light switching on as soon as the bathroom door is opened.
The unit looks stylish and gives a decent warm white light.
It looks better than a lot of the other offerings around and attaches easily using supplied double sided sticky pads or screws.
My only gripe is that it requires a lot of motion to keep it shining once switched on.
There are no user adjustments on the unit.

Wow, really impressed for the value and quality of this product. Very bright and worth the purchase. I currently have them situated at waist length in various places, however rethinking it I’m going to put them on the ceiling for more light coverage. This is easily do-able as long as you screw the mounting plate to the wall and then use 3M sticky back tape (GoPro’s pads are strong) on the back of the light housing to ensure that it does not move when fitted.

These are excellent we have put them by our stairway and landing. Our cat likes to sleep on the floor right at the top of the stairs he is black and you can’t see him at all in the dark so people kept tripping over him which is dangerous especially right at the top of the stairs, these lights provide enough light to see where you are going and not trip over the cat, but they are not bright enough to wake anyone else up who may have their bedroom door open. We have had them up for 5 months and have not yet had to change the batteries, also they automatically turn on and off by motion sensors but the cat is not tall enough to set them off by himself.

I bought these to go in some deep kitchen cupboards. Don’t even think about rechargeables as it’s way too dim, but with decent batteries it gives off a good light and lights up reasonably well. It’s not the best light in the world but considering it is a single LED it is adequate.
The motion sensor and light level sensors work well.

Nice bright light and easy to use
NOTE: Care MUST be taken to position these so that the units IR sensor do not ‘see’ each other as this causes strange effects like a disco flashing lights and randomly switching on 🙂
Initially suspected that I had faulty units and was resolved when making sure that no unit was in a visible line of sight of any other unit
VERY economical with batteries (I am using rechargeable) and have not needed to recharge since I started using them in December 2014 !!

Really useful stand-alone light source. I keep one in my garden shed and it provides enough light when trying to find things at night. The automatic shut off means you don’t waste batteries by forgetting to switch off. The other two light units are in the house and they produce sufficient light to walk around safely at night. The amount of light produced is not so intense that it disturbs those who are asleep

Have put 2 of these in a outhouse that has no electricity. Gives enough lighting in the outhouse to ensure I don’t trip on anything and can adequately see tools or items I need to get at night (no need for a torch anymore). Work well even when outhouse temperature was 4 deg. 4x AA batteries ensures good power and should last a good amount of time (4 months so far)
Other one is placed on the landing for night time use if kid wakes up at night.
    Very happy with them

We installed these on the staircase, so now we don’t really ever use the light in there at all, which translates in lower energy bills. Don’t expect them to illuminate a full room, but we do have one of them installed on our on-suite which is a small bathroom and works pretty well in there too. Again one more energy saver as now when we go to toilet at night 99% of the time we don’t need to switch the light on.

Great little lights, they provide a decent level of lighting and are very easy to mount on the wall. We have two of them placed in both bathrooms to provide some lighting for when the little one pays a visit as she is too small to reach the light switch, would definately buy again.

Nice effective little motion sensitive lights. I have one near the front door of a communal hallway to illuminate the keyhole at night. This avoids having to put the main hall light on and disturbing the ground floor residents. As it only stays on for a while (but long enough) the batteries have a decent lifespan. Three pack represents good value – I’m sure you will find 3 places to put them.

Really very good. I have one fixed on the kitchen wall 5 feet from the door, pointing into the room (i.e. at 90 degrees to the door). I now confidently walk through the doorway (which has a table edge 3 foot away) knowing that the light will come on as I cross the threshold despite the very acute angle between the sensor and the door. The light is sufficient to dimly see most objects in a 10×10 foot kitchen. With its estimated 4,800 operations per set of batteries, I reckon it should last about a year.

So far (I’ve only used one) this has been a very successful purchase. There are two screw plates at the back. One to attach to the wall, the light slides off this. The wall attachment has a sticky tape or a screw option. The second plate pins 4 AA batteries in place. I did think I might never get the second plate off – use a proper screw driver and you can do but it was a bit of a palaver. It is a great night light and switches on when you walk past. We will certainly have a look at what else they do if we want other battery powered lights.

I used these outside until I bought some MB 390’s (which are fab, by the way) and they were ok, even in the rain. Just not powerful enough for my needs. Good and easy to install product. Works perfectly in the dark due to its white clear light. Sensor also works well. Only negative aspects are the amount of battery it uses (4 AAs), and the slightly bright light being transmitted which needs some gettting used to when using it for the first time in the dark. Other than that, it works pretty well.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese lights are brilliant!! i bought the 3 pack to use in a dark cloakroom and under stair cupboard. both of which are very difficult to get power to, hence the reason for buying battery powered ones. These are perfect for the job. The motion sensor picks up any movement so as soon as you open either door the light pops on!!

1 tip is to install when it is dark as they don’t work when its light.

I used the 3rd light outside my front door so that it comes on when anyone approaches the front door and also will aid with finding house keys at night. This is where i found that the motion sensor is very sensitive. Firstly I mounted the light on the wall next to my front door but the sensor kept being activated by the main road about 20-30 meters away.

To remedy I had to move the light and secure to the ceiling so that the sensor only picked up movement below. This now works perfect and the plastic mounting bracket also works well when fixed to the ceiling

Bought three of these to provide low-level lighting for outdoor steps. I attached them to a wall, with rain shelters made from ice-cream containers. They’ve already been out in torrential rain and heavy frost. Very pleased so far, but can only give 4 stars because I’ve only had them for a couple of weeks. I’ve ordered some more to fill some gaps.

These are fantastic night-lights – we have one in our bedroom, one on landing and one in bathroom. We live in a dark area with no street lights so these come on for a short while as soon as they sense movement. It is a lot safer now to get up in the night (no stubbed toes!). They are quite bright but not enough to be a nuisance.

Good quality lights sold in a pack of three and runs off batteries. Can be used indoors or outside as waterproof to an extent. Simple to install with all fittings, screws and adhesive pads (if needed) ideal around doors, gates or dark areas to light the way. Not overly bright but bright enough for general use and if used outside doesn’t distract neighbours etc. I would recommend these highly.

These are superb. This is the second set of 3 we have bought and we now have them dotted about the house. Previously if we went for a ‘pee’ in the night the lights went on and the bathroom fans ran for 10 minutes. Now carefully located Mr Beams in the bedrooms click on when we get out of bed giving a nice soft light to see the way to the loo, then the loo Mr Beams click in. The kitchen one makes an early morning cuppa a soothing job instead of flooding the kitchen with light.
They give out plenty of light to get about and would be superb in a power cut. The batteries seem to last for ever. The first 3 lights have been in use for a year and only 1 has needed batteries.
Don’t know how we lived without them

I have re-purchase this item so many times to give them to my friends and families.
They are simply the best night light designed and engineered.

The light is warm white (3000k ish) so it’s very soft feeling when turned on at night. plus the reflective design it just make it very easy on eyes at night while lighting the floor perfectly to avoid accident!
The battery life is very good, i change once a year or so with everyday use!
it can be either mounted with screws or stick onto the wall. it looks very well designed when on the wall. however please note it is designed to be installed the vertical way only. so if you are planning to use it for other purpose and planning to mount a different angle, it may be an issue.

These are slick, unobtrusive-looking units – unlike some similar items from other manufacturers. They’re made in the USA and hence WAY cheaper on amazon.com. That of course is only of any consolation if you have a buddy that lives in the US and visits you often. I bought 3 at the UK price and am very happy with them. EXACTLY what we needed to prevent our boys from piddling on the bathroom floor in the night.

Now I find I don’t even turn the main bathroom light on to clean my teeth – this is perfectly sufficient. Mounted under the shaver socket on the wall, it lights up the (small) bathroom.

Mr Beams just seems to make great lights that are always useful around the home as well as for safety on staircases and of course can save you putting lights on where you may not need to when you have these around, these ones you can use anywhere really – on stairs, in bathrooms, hallways etc they come with all fittings and two way stickers too and so far have not needed to change the batteries in any of them – highly recommend them.

*Been using these for a week now so will revisit this review if anything goes weird with this product over time.

Got these to help with getting up in the night with a new baby. Much better to not switch on full lights, wake up partner, fully wake baby with bright, overhead lighting, etc. They are perfect! Comes on as day turns to evening, does not have to be complete darkness (not sure why another reviewer emphasized this) as I put one in a downstairs hall that gets a fair bit of light from outside and it starts coming on in early evening when we pass by.

A total game-changer for me to have these, I may even get a few more for the bathroom and kitchen! Finding them helpful even just pottering around in the evening without baby, not having to switch on the overhead hall lights when just passing through.

They are not blindingly bright (which is exactly what I was counting on) so if you want them to fully illuminate an outside space at night, you should choose a different product. But if you want good visibility in the house at night, like for stairways, hallways, bathrooms, etc, this product is great! And it runs on 4 AA batteries (I think AA not AAA) so you can stick it ANYWHERE, no being limited with where your outlets happen to be.

Did I mention I love them?

An effective battery-powered light. Unlike similar motion-triggered lights by Phillips and other makers, Mr Beam (great name!) Creates a warm and bright arc of illumination using only one led bulb per unit. The clever use of the cream plastic case as a reflector is unique to this product. Low current consumption from a single bulb combines with a set 30 second light duration and daylight cut out to preserve the batteries.
Having to use four AA cells (12 cells across 3 lights) isn’t particularly cost effective, but rechargeables work well.
There is a screw or sticky tape mounting option, although I find these lamps stand reliably on the narrow base.
There is one downside mentioned in the clear instructions. As the batteries lose power the unit may not automatically switch off after 30 seconds. So, the end could come pretty quickly once a certain level of discharge is reached.

hese lights are fantastic and worth the money i bought three as we had some really bad rain & thunderstorms and we lost power for several hours and i placed my three lights on the stairs near the bottom of our stairs and they are very good in the future i will buy some more as very bright and you can also take them off the hooks on the wall and have some mobile elsewhere in the house

These lights are perfect for my hallway and bathroom in the middle of the night. They give the perfect lighting so that you don’t have to turn on the light at night, but it’s also not so bright as to disturb your midnight wanderings. And I’m sure I’ll save a bit on my electricity bill too. They only come on when it’s dark enough and they stay on for about 40 seconds, so they work really well. The adhesive stickers that can be used to stick them to the wall/ tiles/ skirting doesn’t last that long (the lights kept falling off- but this isn’t THAT annoying. I just stand them on the floor in my hallway and they are not in the way at all), so if you have the option to fix them permanently to the wall then you may wish to do that (the lights come with a fitting bracket). I would definitely buy again/ buy more/ recommend.

The light itself is good and provides adequate illumination on the landing where we’re using it. Unfortunately the self-adhesive strips supplied do not work very well. We used the strip to mount to a wall-papered wall and had the light fall down after about 3 weeks.
The light does come with screw fittings as well but we could not use those on this particular wall.

I love these little guys, I have them upstairs in the bathroom, landing and one of the kids bedrooms for when they get up to pee at night, brilliant things that give off quite a bit of light, much better than those plug in nightlights. Had them for around 2-3 months and they are going strong on the same batteries I put in. I’m now thinking of getting more for my alley way down the side of the house outside as they are weatherproof.

Firstly they are sensibly packaged with no wastage. They are neat, light and easily transported if needed. I keep them “free standing” but I liked the option of being able to affix them to a wall if required either by Velcro or conventional screws all of which were supplied.

They answer a problem we had. I’ve got one on the landing outside the bedroom and one in the toilet. They give just enough light so that not woken up badly. Activate as per instructions.I find them very comforting as I know they keep my husband safe. I have subsequently given them to friends who are equally delighted.

These little gems are simply brilliant. They don’t look like a conventional light source but they certainly brighten selected areas up very effectively. I have them in the entrance hall, on the stairs and in the bathroom. These are all places when either you need to illuminate your way to a light switch or you don’t want to disturb others in the house with bright lights during the night…..and invaluable in the event of a power cut.

This came nicely packaged. Works straight out of the box on popping in batteries (not supplied). I used rechargeable batteries although the manufacturer claims any batteries would last more than 12 months straight! Will have to wait and see!

The lights can be mounted using the self-adhesive mounting strips or can be screwed into walls for permanence.

They only light up when in semi or complete darkness, which is what it is meant for!

Provide more than adequate brightness for such a small device, and can sufficiently light up a small area.

Ideal lights – one for understairs cupboard; another one used to light up top treads of stairs for those nighttime missions of mercy involved in having a 4 year old & the final light used to light up another dark cupboard. Perform very well & can think of plenty of uses for them. They give off an impressive amount of clear bright light for a small unit.

Just refurbished en suite and found the new down lighters doing a wonderful job of lighting up the bedroom as well. Enter Mr beams. Perfect, walk into the pitch dark bathroom close door greeted by enough light to fulfil the mission. Probably better mounted high, as the single LED is down pointing. I will attach mine to the back of the door when I am allowed.

Very pleased with this purchase, easy to install batteries and place on wall, not too fiddly. The only down side for me is that they do come on in low light too, I would have preferred an adjusable sensor on each lamp. Otherwise….first class, delivery was as promised too.

They do exactly what it says on the box!! Fulfills my requirements exactly & are a quality item. Examined all similar items listed & there seems to be some good ones out there but thought I would try these – good choice. Easy to install. Can’t comment on long term reliability or battery life – only commissioned a few weeks ago.

I bought these lights last autumn to help my 5 year old get to the bathroom in the night, one lights up the landing & I have put one in the bathroom, they light it perfectly, not too bright!! He doesn’t have to worry about finding a light switch, they automatically turn off once he’s safely back in bed. They are a fantastic idea with so many uses.

Having ordered these, they arrived swiftly and well packaged. I found one to be faulty and contacted the supplier direct. They were polite and efficient, putting a replacement in the post immediately. This was received in good working order and these detectors are now all over the house and they work brilliantly. I can recommend the product and the “Mr Beams” family

We have had one of these before for under the stairs so this time ordered a set of three.
Well this product does exactly what it says on the tin , these lights are so versatile they can be used anywhere. We use one in our bathroom for night time visits without having to put the light on. One in our Touring Caravan bathroom for the same reason and one positioned near our front door to help find the keyhole when returning home on dark nights. It gives us just enough of a glow without been intrusive so we have no problem with keys
Brilliant product , can’t praise it enough. Very reasonably priced too.

Cant fault these. I’ve put one of these in each toilet area. They give off enough light for you to enter the room without dazzling you in the middle of the night. Last ages on one set of batteries (not sure 12 months is accurate estimate though). Look smart and they fit on the wall/tiles with the sticky pads provided. None have fallen off yet. One good thing is the bracket sticks to the wall and the lights “dock” into place. The advantage of this is it makes battery replacing easy and we also take these away with us without disturbing the stuck down bracket part.

These are excellent. Easily situated wherever you want them. Bought them for my parents house. They provide a gentle light at the top and bottom of the stairs and in the bathroom. Not a bright light just a safe illumination of the area. They light up as soon as you go near and stay on for long enough. So good we’ve mounted one just above our external door so we can see to find our door key and open or lock the door. We have plans to use them elsewhere as well. We have 6 now both here and at my parents house.

They give off a fair amount of light, enough not to need to put a light on. However I got these for my mothers house to put on the landing and in the bathroom so she did not need to turn the lights on. Reason she complained that if she did put the lights on, she would have trouble going back to sleep. Only after I ordered them, did I spot from the included pamphlet, that other models existed with a higher lumen output. These are 10 lumens. This company has 20, 40, 100 and 14 lumen models (albeit some for outside usage). In hindsight I would have gone for the 20 lumens wall model (MB530) or the 100 lumens ceiling model (MB980).

Device works well and I have gone for two on the landing and one in the bathroom. They function only when the light has faded and auto shutoff after 30 seconds. I have put reasonably good quality rechargeable batteries 2000mA.

These lights are absolutely fantastic. They are very bright, and with the sensors, only come on when it is dark. They are a boon in the middle of the night if you need to go to the bathroom, or get a drink, as you don’t need to put on the main lights, so you don’t wake up the entire household. I would recommend them to anyone.

We bought one a year ago to light up the back door and it is still going strong (and on the same batteries)
After being disappointed by solar lights we decided to get some more of these to light up the pathway around our house when coming home in the dark.
These have also worked perfectly and would highly recommend this product.
The only slight niggle is that being activated by movement is that on a windy or even rainy night they can come on by themselves but this has never bothered us.
Buy them and you won,t be disappointed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese are great. I have purchased many of these and placed them all around my house.

At first instance you wouldn’t think a battery operated light using one LED would give you sufficient light during the night but it does. It’s perfect for walking around the house at night without the need to use the mains power lights.

No need to ponder about buying these, just buy them.

I have since purchased more for my mum’s house and now my sister is asking me where to buy them from…..

Have one of these up in the garage which never has adequate ambient lighting, so I can only comment on its operation in low light situations which is first class. The light comes on when it’s supposed to and is bright enough to light your way and give you enough time to get there. Found it easy to mount on a rafter and quite secure once mounted. Had it for a few months now and is still going strong unlike one which I bought from another manufacturer.

Bought these lights as some gentle automatic lighting. I put one each side of the door and it is perfect for what we need – a low energy, non-intrusive light source which is just enough to get the key in the keyhole. The other light is stationed in the area outside of the loo for those little trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night. These are tidy little lights and good for the price.

These lights work well during darkness and provide some good simple lighting. The double-sided adhesive strips that come with the product don’t hold the lights against vertical surfaces for too long. But this is also the case with any double-sided ahesive tape. I have not used the option to drill and fix the lights into place however. It’s a cheap and easy alternative to hard wiring lighting to dark areas.

I was a little concerned that these would not provide enough light once I realised there is a small LED shining on a reflector pad rather than a panel lit by LEDs from behind. When fitted they surprised me with the amount of light they gave and did a great job of lighting a passageway. I also like the fact that they can be fitted with the double sided tape provided or screwed to the wall. While the back of the light does have the screw hole slots, which I can never seem to space correctly no matter how I measure, these are used by lugs on the separate panel you screw to the wall. Now if only more products would do this.

I am totally addicted to getting more of these fantasic lights! at first i bought a set to eluminated the night-time walk to the loo, but now i have them all over the hallway and staircase! i find they give a warmer light than other motion lights i’ve tried. i am concerned about battery life however being in such a high trafic area; will report back when i have to change them! but being a LED and each light taking four batteries i’m quietly confident they should last a while!

Plus these look like they actually work too.

Note than double sided tape was not too good – otherwise fantastic value for a young childs confidence

I have been using three of these for two months now. Just needed a night light for the hall and toilet at night. They work great with rechargeable batteries. If they start to flash on and off then they need new batteries. The back cover design is a little behind the times and the o-ring seal was too big and so I discarded it, but I don’t use them outside so it doesn’t matter to me. The sensors work well. There are no settings, but that makes setup easy. The best thing is the light output is good and the design is nice and simple – so when they are off they blend in with the surroundings.

We brought a pack of 3 PIR lights due to our cocker spaniel losing her sight and these strategically placed around the house help her get her bearings easier, only small gripe is that if you use the self adhesive pads supplied to position them, they don’t stick very well and I had to purchase better ones, but you do have the option to screw them to the wall.

Bought the to illuminate the landing for the children for those night time toilet trips and these are superb!

They are ultra sensitive to movement so act as an early warning system that someone is out of bed and battery usage appears good so far.

Be nice if there was a way to switch them off as they operate at dusk but the benefits far outweigh this minor niggle.

Will be buying more of these to put in other areas as the need arises and have already recommended than to a couple of friends who have bought them and think they’re ace!

    UPDATE 29/01/2013

One of the lamps started staying on so contacted the seller, explaining the problem. He immediately requested I return the faulty unit and sent out two replacements by way of an apology.

These lamps are superb and currently looking to add the remote spots out of doors and having had this experience of outstanding service cannot recommend either the product or seller highly enough.

Thank you Mr Beams (Dave Mason), brilliant service and thank you again!

    Buy with absolute confidence.

Bought these little beauties over a year ago, and even though they are lit often in the winter months, I’m still on the first set of batteries. The lights have been used to provide illumination along a garden path, even when spaced some metres apart they provide soft puddles of light which make a huge difference in a dark garden. I must admit that I wrapped some white insulating tape around the units to help waterproof them, not sure if it was necessary, but they are still working. Great product, will be ordering some more soon.

I needed a nightlight to illuminate the stairs and bathroom etc without the disturbance of turning on the main lights. These lights are exellent for this purpose and certainly provide enough illumination from its one LED which reflects of a matt screen. They are very sensitive to movement and although the ON time is not adjustable they remain on for about 30 sec.

I bought these for outside and was a little worried that they wouldn’t be able to withstand wet weather, but so far they are fairing well; they are quite sensitive so thought needs to be given to their positioning – hence the fact that the one at the front door will have to be moved. So far so good!
July 2013 UPDATE – these lights are still going strong and I have only changed the batteries a couple of times since having them. They are permanently outside – sun, wind, rain and snow and no water penetratio
