just what we wanted
These are great, we’ve installed them in our outside shed for the dog & in various cupboards. I could see that they would work well at floor level on the stairs as the light is directed down.

These are fantastic! I’ve no electrical points on stairs so put one at bottom, one half way up and one at top so motion sensor lights go on as you walk up or down stairs, without having to turn on bright ceiling light in hallway and landing which could wake children up. So happy. Makes a much safer experience. Motion sensor is very good and lasts just the right time. Haven’t needed to stick on the lights as just put them on the step indent. Walking up you wouldn’t even notice them so nice and discreet. Wish I’d bought them years ago!!!

Bought these to light up our stairs and bathroom during the night to save having to turn the main lights/extractor fan on.
The motion detection works a treat. When someone waljs diwn the landing or enters the bathroom at night, in the dark, they immediately light up.
The light is a brilliant light, it is just enough for someone to see where they are going or not trip over something left lying around in an inconvenient place.
The batteries lasted approx 10 months based on our usage.
Unfortunately one of the units no longer works. I think the batteries leaked.
Overall a good product but check the batteries every couple of months to ensure they are not leaking.

Install batteries – it comes on, place in location – light will go out after a minute of two, enter location, light comes on while moving around.

Bought these as my little one is now potty trained and is able to get up on his own in the night and go for a wee. The light switches in the house are a bit high as it’s an old property plus the pull cord is a bit stiff so him using the lights in the dark was a concern… quick search and found these.
Other reviews rated them well so thought I would try and have not been disappointed. Insert 4xAA batteries and then attach the backplate to where you want them by either screw or adhesive pad (both supplied) slip the light onto the backplate and job done. I put one in the hallway outside his room and one in the bathroom near the toilet and they work a treat. Plenty of light to do what he needs to do yet not so bright to fully wake him up.
Don’t know how long they will last but being LED a presume quite a while with half decent batteries.

Very classy looking
Perfect brightness, very alert, easy to place and ideal for places you need to put them. Up the stairs has become quite a “posh” look, however bad your staircase is!
Most impressed with brightness and senso
This is probably my second review, having had a pair of them initially and as we were so impressed with them we purchased a second lot of these 3. Good value, bright and the sensor is sensitive, great for us as my wife doesn’t see well in the dark, but with these lights feels perfectly safe. I have put one just above skirting board level, resting on 2 thin pins rather than fitted by screws or tape, so can be turned around if not needed to save battery life or moved elsewhere. One stands on a small unit at the top of the stairs so its beam covers that area. This is just an example of their flexibility. We like them very much.

A great safety ligh
This lighting works at the slightest movement in the dark, and even operates when it is just dusk. I would definitely recommend this product as a safety light.

I have lots of overnight stays with work and these are very useful when waking up in a dark room a little disorientated! I just leave it where appropriate so I haven’t needed to stick them yet.
No loud fans and big lights either for bathroom visits in the early hours.
Also use one in home bathroom too and when our 18mth old granddaughter stays over and a stirs in the night, we find the light is just enough to check without disturbing her.

Good v long lasting battery life and easy to install and move about too. Got for elderly relative needing night light to and in bathroom at night. Works perfectly. Sticky pads ok low level but I reinforced when used higher up as can fall off when adhesive fails.

This really is an amazing product. We keep one on our upstairs landing and as soon as someone opens a door the light comes on which gives you time to get to your destination, then goes off again until you start to return to your bedroom. It is especially good with young children and older people who tend to need the toilet during the night quite often!. We also have one in the understairs cupboard which enables to find something in there without having to switch on a light. We have been using them for over 10 years and they are truly magnificent, and very cheap to run.

Works as expected. I use it at the side gate to help with unlocking in darkness. Works great, so far survived we weather. Not sure how good battery life is, still on the first set of batteries. Motion detection is quite sensitive, it detects movement from around 5m.

I stuck this light directly onto a bare, unpainted cement wall, by my front door; so that it will switch on when I walk up to the front door, and I can see to put my key in the door. I liked this little light so much, that I bought 3 more to stick on my cement steps, going up to my house from the road. I have struggled with walking up 6 steps in the dark for 7 years, but I won’t be doing it any more! These lights have increased my feelings of safety and security, and decreased the possibility that i may fall over in the dark, and injure myself. They are great for the dark nights, that we have in the UK, in October-March! One word of warning…they ARE small lights, so don’t buy them if you need a larger light, that will illuminate your whole garden. These lights are designed ONLY for illuminating small areas, like a front door, or a front step. This is NOT a spotlight! If you want a spot-light, Mr Beams has those too, and I have already bought one of them, and I am very happy with it! 🙂 I LOVE Mr Beams lights!

Really impressed with these, installed in two cupboards using only the adhesive pads and they work well and haven’t fallen off, saved me having to get an electrician in and route cables
Great little sensor ligh
I bought these as a security device for camping, but have not used them yet. I had ordered 2 lots of these by accident. But have to say I am not disappointed. We have set them up at the top of the stairs and in the garage. They are a bit expensive but the sensor light works well and the light they give off is just right. Easy to install and put the batteries in. I have used blue tack to hold mine up and they are perfect.

Wanted these for so long and finally bought a pack of three. Exactly what I needed for when the kids get out of bed at night for the toilet or because they are having a bad dream. I have now bought many more for al over the house as well as the black/brown outdoor version for my path when I’m carrying the shopping as well as for the outside of my hot tub to light up the floor when getting out so I can see my shoes etc. Just buy them you won’t be disappointed!!
Brighter than expected!
Wanted to light up bathroom for when guests use it during the night. This is both bright enough and sensitive enough. It’s choice of using adhesive pad, which is strong, or more permanent fixing is a bonus.
I only required one to complete the task so I put a second in my outdoor shed, again very good.
Don’t know how long the batteries will last as haven’t had them installed very long.
Good battery life...
Have been using 2 of these in a large cupboard, 6′ x 4′, and they come on once I open the doors, stay on whilst I’m making movement inside and go off fairly soon after the doors are closed again, evidenced by reopening the doors within a couple of minutes and seeing that they come on again. Not a huge amount of light, but never expected much. They do the job I bought them for and saved me having to hard wire in a light source.
Still not replaced 1st set of batteries after 1month in a very well used cupboard.

Really happy with this product. We have placed one in the bedroom and a few on the landing area in case we need to use the loo at night. They’re really efficient without us having to turn on any lights, so we don’t disturb the rest of the house when getting up in the dark. Easy to fit and the battery appears to have a long life, so relatively cheap to run. I wish I’d bought them years ago.
Brighten up areas of your home..
I never buy anything of Amazon until I read the reviews first, I weight up the options based on other buyers likes and dislikes. I bought these to light up the areas of my house that would be inconvenient if I turned the main lights on. They are easy to set up they take 4 batteries for each unit so I bought 12 rechargeable batteries and charged them prior to them arriving and used them straight away. When you get near them they light up the areas where I placed them without turning on the main lights. I would recommend buying recharging batteries 4 for each unit save yourself a fortune. So far I had no problems and I am pleased that I bought them.

At least I think so. There are quite a lot of thee types of lights around now. This is the second time I have bought these. I’ve had the first lot for about 10 years. Initially I had them out in the garden and they survived all weathers. I moved house and now have them inside large cupboards, where I stash all sorts!! and it is great to be able to see inside properly. One of my originals stopped working so I bought another set. One has replaced the one that died. The other is in addition to the old ones and I have a spare! All good.

Anyone who visited my apartment has said these look great. Motion detection works great. It switches after a good interval. It could be brighter though. Light reaches a very small area. I am using it for my stairs to my main door and fine but if you want to use it for a larger space may not be as bright as you need it to be. Price is great though for this product.
Excellent for a remote cottage
I have these all over the house, either on the floor at the skirting board or on the wall. If I have a power cut they will light my way through each room, and when I get up during the night I can see my way without putting any lights on. They are excellent at sensing motion.

AS a seller on Amazon myself I always make a point of reading reviews and when it comes to buying myself it is no different. I was a bit dubious at first simply because I have bought stuff like this but they never lived up to par. However on this occasion I have got to say that I was impressed. They feel good and solid and nothing like these other cheap one you buy on a market. They give a good light. I have installed one in the bathroom and one on either side of the stairs top and bottom. At first I thought they were a bit pricey but having got them and seen them I can understand why. Worth every penny.

No more wet toilet seat for mum to sit on… … but if you need more than 30 seconds… adopt the helicopter wave… noo, with your arms.. fool. Wave the other thing and you’re bound to wet the seat… the wall… the carpet.
Faulty light uni
Hi, having purchased the 3 light pack on April 19th this year and have been very pleased with the lights up until now. One of the lights keeps going off and on without any movement and day or night. It is in its original fixed location and not exposed at all and has worked very well up till now. Please advise how to resolve this problem as they are fitted to the stairs to help disabled wife. I have a long dark hallway with minimal day light, so I keep a table lamp on all the time during the day. I don’t like this on at night so these 3 motion lights have been ideal. I have simply put them againt the skirting board at strategic points. During the day, I simply turn the lights to face the wall so that they don’t come on when I walk past! Simple.
They are the best, simple as.
Bought the Three pack Twice now. Excellent lights. Have them in a stairs and hall, one in a Bathroom. Great so you don’t put the main lights on at night blinding yourself. Really long lasting on the battery, gone a year on the first set. Good packaging and fixings supplied. Have bought the Mr Beams outside lights too based on the experience with these.
1 out of 3 lights isnt working well
I ordered 3 of these lights and they are pretty good apart from one that hardly works. I changed the batteries again to ensure that’s all right but it still doesnt make much difference at all. The other two lights work well.. maybe we are just unlucky and maybe there is a fault with the third one?

Great little lights. I use them in the bathrooms for at night when you dint want to be searching for light switches, also use them on the stairs and landing so I don’t have to leave lights on all night, so will hopefully save electric
Fantastic! I first bought ONE to replace the old, motion-detecting nightlight I used to put on the landing whilst mum was staying, so she could get to the bathroom in the night.
Then we moved – and now we have a big, old house with lots of places where it’s dark but light switches are in the wrong places. I have bought two sets of 3, so far (although I gave 2 to a friend) and I’m just about to buy another set of 3. At present I only actually need one but I just know I’ll soon be finding another place where I could use one!!
Apart from the dark areas mentioned above, I also put one in the bathroom so that I can see around it if I get up at night, without waking myself up too much by switching on the light. More than an adequate amount of light and it stays on just long enough for my visit! Although, if it does go off, you only have to wave your arms about to turn it on again.
In my opinion these are excellent lights, inexpensive (especially compared to getting an electrician in to re-wire light switches) and so far I’ve never replaced a battery, not even on the one I’ve had for 2 or 3 years!

My new build house has the switches for the landing area are at one end and one has to find your way in the dark. With these 3 units tacked to the wall at around waist level this problem is completly cured.

I got these to put in my Asguard bike box at the back of the house. I have three in there, one on each side and one at the rear and they’re all still on the original batteries after about a year of use. One of them gets a bit of water n it from time to time but all three are going strong and do exactly what’s required of them.

These sensor lights are very useful and easy to fit. I fitted one in the bathroom beside the toilet, and it gives a perfect light. It can be fitted with screw fitting, or as I have used, the adhesive pad which simply sticks firmly to the tiles and the sensor light just slides into place, and can be removed in a couple of seconds.

I bought these to cure an issue in our house with our cats, bless the little angels they like to lay across the stairs in the dark at night, now being the animal loving kind of guy I am I really don’t want to step on one of my cats, it would possibly injure them and upset me so I decided to give these a go.
Setup is easy enough, batteries in, stick back plate to surface, slide into place and off you go and I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised with the light they throw out. My initial thoughs were hmm one led bouncing off a plastic face these are going to be naff but no they’re excellent actually, it’s placed near enough to the top of the stairs to activate before I start walking down the stairs and it lights up right to the bottom of the staircase.
Marvellous, everyone is happy, the cats aren’t likely to get squashed and I don’t get to beat myself up – winner winner chicken dinner.

People ask about battery life, well we have 3 very active cats so ours probably get triggered 30-40 times a day, I came back to this review to see how long i’ve had them and the batteries have lasted about three and a half months, not bad considering the amount of activations they get.
Really useful purchase. Light comes on as soon as you move in front of beam given a gentle light on landing or in bathroom at night.
I bought three of these units for my garage. Although there is lighting available in the garage, I sort of like the feeling of being off the grid and there are times that I forget to switch off the lights overnight.
I liked the reviews that I have read about this product and as soon as I got them, I fitted them with rechargeable AA batteries and distributed them around the garage.
These units will stand unsecured on a shelf or flat surface, so fixing not really required.
I have found that the 20 lumens of light are quite adequate for quick visits to the garage in pitch darkness. The motion sensor works surprisingly well and the light remains on for about 30 seconds, which is useful.
I am impressed with these lights and have ordered three more for use in other locations around the house.
Mr Beams is expensive, considering it’s a simple AA-powered LED light. The apparently illuminated panel on the front is just a smooth plastic surface, reflecting the light from a fairly standard LED in the top. It’s ingenious, though. It really does throw off quite a lot of light and is ideal for those inconvenient places – understairs cupboard, over you back door, down by the shed – where you just need a bit of light and it’s too much hassle to run mains. I’ve had mine six months and am still on the first set of batteries. At 9 per LED, batteries not included, they are pricey, but I would buy them again if I needed more.
These lights are bright for a small unit. I have placed them along an unlit path along my drive to assist carers calling to my mum and they are suitable for this purpose. They have been in use for six months now and have not needed replacement batteries yet. Mine are fitted outside and as extra protection I placed a single wrap of insulation tape around the edge. They have never leaked as the seam is very snug even before I gave them extra protection. Little diamond lamps!!
I have bought sooooo many Mr Beams products over the years and they are all perfect for their different jobs.
These were easy to mount although I did have to set them a little higher than expected as the sensitivity is so good.
Mr Beams do outside lights as well which are perfect for those areas where power isn’t available.
I actually bought two packs of these lights, one for a friend and she loves these as well.

These are SO helpful. We have two in the bathroom so it’s now not necessary to put on the very bright ceiling lights during the night. The bathroom has no windows so these lights would also be useful if we have a powercut as one would just need to wave arms around in order to get them to come on.
Another one of these is in the bedroom so that it comes on just by dangling a foot over the edge of the bed, this is so much easier than trying to locate the bedside lamp light switch. We also take one or two away with us as they are useful in unfamiliar hotel rooms.
There was light!
More than I expected. Wanted a light for night time movements without having to use the main lights and disturbing others.Was able to cover three areas by deciding to purchase this product. There appears to be a difference in intensity in the lights themselves, but output satisfactory in all areas.

Another great product from Mr Beams. Battery life very good on these. We have previously bought a couple of packs of smaller version of these as well as an outdoor sensor light. All are great.
I got these for the home. One is have half way up our stairs, one on the landing and one in the bathroom. Primarily for our children to help them see where they are going during the night time visits to the bathroom. They are fantastic. The range is more than acceptable, totally silent in operation and give off just the right amount of light. I’m considering buying a few more for downstairs. Definitely recommend.

Bought these for our kids so they can get up in the night. The only snag is the length of time the light stays on for, it’s about 30 seconds, could do with being longer.
These are very handy battery powered motion-activated lights, for indoor or outdoor use. They are reasonably bright, great for a dark cupboard or shed, or for lighting a path or passageway. I have two along my driveway, and they give enough light to see where you’re walking, avoid puddles etc. Because they are battery powered, you can put them just about anywhere – they can be attached with screws via a mounting plate (so you can lift the light off to change the batteries). Alternatively they can be stuck in place: the sticky pads included are not strong enough so I’ve used heavy-duty stick-on velcro for one of them (stick it to the mounting plate or be careful to make sure you can still get at the battery compartment). They do need 4 x AA batteries each, but I’ve been impressed with the battery life. The lights stay on for a sensible amount of time, long enough to walk past but not too long to waste the battery. I chose these because they are supposed to come on only when it’s dark.
Of the three in the pack, one has worked perfectly all the time. One lights up consistently whether it’s night or day. The third worked fine for a couple of weeks, then kept coming on during daylight for a few days, then went back to working correctly again, so I’m assuming perhaps some damp got in – it had been snowing. I did contact the manufacturer about the faulty one, and they suggested that the batteries were dying (apparently the daylight sensor fails before the light dies, which would make sense) – but I had used new batteries, and when I swapped them round the fault persisted. I’ve used the faulty light in a spot that doesn’t get much traffic during the day (only when I let the dogs out) so it’s not a big problem.
In spite of the faulty unit, I’m still happy with these lights – it’s a bit wasteful on batteries when the light comes on unnecessarily but they do work well when needed, and actually the batteries have lasted surprisingly well.
So portable can be placed anywhere outside or inside
These work really well think I may need to get some more. Best use of o e is at my back door where there is not much room for fixing a light to shine on door so I have placed one of these half way up wall so it shines on to step and I am able to see the keyhole if I come in at dark. Just so many places where they can be of use.

The product was good. Had product for six months and had to replace battery in bathroom last week. The light under the stairs still working well. The light we placed outside stopped working after a few weeks. Unsure if it was to do with damp conditions or tree branch over a fence, activating light. Disappointed with the outside light, but very pleased with light in bathroom.
Silent night weeing
Bought two packs because they were a bargain. I’ve only put one on the wall in my bathroom so far but it’s perfect! You don’t realise how handy it is until you have kids that are woken by the flick of a light switch! Silent midnight weeing! Perfect!
Better-made than expected ... delighted
Quality plastic body, designed to last I would expect. All 3 in the pack I ordered work as required. Strongly packaged and promptly delivered. Needed for bathrooms in a house in Africa where the electric supply is unreliable. These will be more convenient than torches and safer than candles and obviously very effective being automatic when children are going in.
Just as described in the advert. I shall be more than happy. Good value for money. Glad I spotted them. I bought the 12-pack batteries as well. Got to get them from somewhere!

We bought these for our gram who gets up at night, we put them in her hall and bedroom so she doesn’t fumble around looking for light switches, it is sensitive and works very well when she gets up she does two steps and it sets off, the light is good enough for her to make her way to the bathroom, fantastic items
Have one in every room
Love these battery powered sensor lights. I have one in every room and it saves me putting light on and off as I pass through a room. Battery lasts for ages as light goes off after 30 seconds. Several friends have seen mine and bought some themselves. Proved very useful in a power cut enabling easy location of alternative brighter and non sensory light source.

Our hall light is no where near our front door so got one of these to sit on the key shelf. Absolutely brilliant. Put another one in the cupboard under the stairs and one on the stairs so we can see when it is slightly darker.

Used outdoors to light the side of my house. Stuck on to the fence an no issues. Only cmes on when I walk past which I what I want.
Time is short though. About 30 secs but that’s what it says so its fine

I bought the smaller version last year and found it rather useful. This model is similar except it, apparently, weatherproof so it can go outside and slightly brighter at 20 lumens against the small one with 15 lumens. The small one takes AAA batteries while this one takes AA ones.
This is almost twice the height od the smaller unit. A plus on this one is that there is a plate which enables you to fix the light to a wall.
When I bought it on offer this was less than the small one. The offer only lasted a day and is now not looking so cheap.

Used on steps with very little human traffic (or local cats), these are fantastic lights providing an element of safety and most importantly, don’t creat a harsh beam which results in loss of night vision. In this quiet spot I would hope that the batteries will last well.

I originally bought these for my elderly Mum , and placed one on the landing and one in her bathroom. To say she is pleased with them is an understatement. I have lost count of the times she has thanked me for them, and I feel that I have added to her safely on night time bathroom visits. Because I really only needed to use two in her small house, I took the third one back home and put it on our landing. Not because I thought I needed it, but really just to use the 3rd one up rather than leave it lying in a drawer somewhere. Well I have to say its brilliant. The light level is just right, and the battery lasts for months and months. I am really really impressed with these simple and efficient little lights…and to think I didn’t realise I even needed one !!
