Great for 3 year old.
I have bought two of these now, one for my nephew and one for my 3 year old. Both were loved by the boys. Great fun for the money. Ideal add on present or stocking filler.
A great idea
This is a great idea. The films are good pictures for children. My Grandson loved it. Sadly torch is a bit flimsy but it was cheap and you get what you pay for sometimes. Would love to get same idea but with sturdier torch.

My nephew loved this on opening, so much so all my young neices and nephews wanted to have a go with it! I should’ve brought them all one (even the ones who are not into dinosaurs! Just have to remeber to keep the extra image discs somewhere they know to come back to, as can get lost easily in a busy household I imagine. 5 stars tho as they all thought it was entertaining – so for me great value!

Bought this for my nephew for Christmas. I was pretty surprised at how small it is, but he loves it! Came packed well. As it says the pictures can be tiny or big depending on how near/far to a wall/door/ceiling you are. Great pics. Happy boy!

This is pretty cool little torch. A bit small but it’s the right size for my 3 year old son. It comes with 3 little wheels with different images of dinosaurs on each one. The problem is there is no where on the torch to keep these so inevitably they get lost. Also the toy itself is easily lost due to its size. Would be better if the things were attached to the torch and were not removable. Also an auto off would be good as they also get left on under the bed or something and the batteries run out. But overall a cool little gift if its look after…

Bought for my 5 year old grandson. I have now had chance to try this out with him and it is good fun and some learning too. I also purchased the animal torch projector for him so we could have 1 each and compare our pictures. Would recommend.
Great stocking fille
Torch itself feels a bit flimsy and cheap but the images produced when using the little wheels were clear and great quality. My 4 yo found focusing the images a bit tricky by herself, but the projected is definitely one of her favourite stocking filler gifts.
Fun gadget!
Excellent fun for almost 3 year old. Lots of running about roaring and hiding from the dinos on the ceiling. Each disc has multiple images. Needs to be focused by adult or maybe older kids can do it.

Good little torch
I bought this for my autistic grandson who enjoyed the images as well as using it as a torch. The only down side is that the discs are a bit too fiddly for him to manage himself.

Our 4 year old LOVES this! He has spent hours projecting dinosaurs onto every possible surface. Smaller than expected but a really great little gift.
This was one of my son’s favourite presents on his (5th) birthday, getting more air time than remote controlled cars, books, puzzles, slime, mini football table etc.! I was a little dismayed by how plastic and cheap it looked on opening it (hence deducting one star), but the quality of the photos is superb, and it has stood the test of time (his birthday was Oct and it’s now Jan).

Small but impressive quality
Smaller than i expected and the little disks have potential to get lost easily but the quality of the pictures being projected is much better than i imagined. They can be focused depending how close you shine the torch on a surface, and the light is very bright behind so can be used easily during the daytime too. This kept 5 children amused for several hours over Christmas!

i brought this torch for my 3 year old grandsons christmas stocking filler .. he is dinosaur mad at the moment and had a lot of fun with it ..it was a little tricky for little hands to turn the projector wheel but with help it worked out well

Purchased a few of these as presents for 3 year olds. They loved them but I find the dials a bit flimsy when inserted like they are going to fall out when the kids are turning them. Great pictures and size for the little ones.

I am really impressed with these torches. Got as a stocking filler and they are really cool. Make sure you are in a really dark room and they are really clear. Use the focus on the end to get the pictures clear. My sons (and me) thought they were brilliant.

This is a gift for my 3yr old for Christmas. It is a lot smaller than i realised i thought it would be as long as my hand, its going to look small even in his hand, i just hope the projections are big amd xlear enough

Great product for a dinocentric kid. My 5 year old son absolutely adores this gift. He has spent hours on end playing with it. Can hardly pull him away from it. The torch also has a great battery life. I would purchase again.

Children love this product.
I bought this product for an 8 year old which would entertain a one year old sister too. It was excitably used on a plain white wall at Christmas and the one year old exclaimed, ‘Snap Snap!’ on seeing the dinosaur head with large teeth. The 8 year old then put the image of the dinosaur head at the one year olds feet and she danced on the spot to avoid being bitten! Ah sisterly love.

Best buy!!! This was just bought as a add on to our sons birthday presents last min wasn’t expecting anything brilliant as the price is very cheap but it’s great.our son loves it and never puts it down.the images are great very clear.
Lots of fu
We have had this ages now and still are getting use and fun out of it. It could do with a little bag or case so the extra bits don’t get lost. We used a pencil case but if it came with one, that would make it 5 stars.
Projector torch: does what it says
Simply torch projector with three wheels of images. Back of package identifies each image, and each wheel will lock into place for manual turning. Kids were impressed at first, and enjoyed playing with the focus, but then started running around so it didn’t entertain them much.

Love it just have to push the lense with fingers to have clear image which is hard for a two year old to do. Other than that h loves th images and the torch. Its so good and great for stories and imagination and to develop your little one vocabulaire. I bought them as gifts but used them all oups

A nice little torch/projector for the price.
The slides still get used from time to time (purchased other products/slides for variety) but is mainly used as a torch.
Easy to turn on off and is definitely bright enough (avoid flashing in the eyes obviously).
Negatives:
A couple images are poor and hard to make out. Some will look better further away while others will get blurry. Depending on the age of the child, the slides are difficult to load and to turn.

Ijust This is the third Dinosaur torch I have purchased since last year. The first two were bought as Christmas gifts for two 4 year old boys. They absolutely love them and are still using them three months down the line. I have just purchased the third for another 4 year old boy and hope he loves it as much. Such a great idea especially as a torch and also for dinosaur loving children.
This has to be one of the best things I’ve bought for my son as well as for a present. The kids just love these. They are so easy to operate, come with batteries and the images are quite clear and big, when projected onto a wall or ceiling. The selection of images is pretty good too and it won’t break the bank! Absolute fantastic all round!

Smaller than i thought but that dont effect the images on the wall. If you step back the image will get bigger anyway. Lots of different images to look at. My 3 year old absolutely loves it and so does my year old
Little dino
At first I was totally disappointed by this you which was for my little grandson as it was so so small. But after he received it and finding him mezerised with it I changed my mind thinking it is well worth the money I played for it. He loves to play with it a bedtime 10 minutes before sleep.
Fun for kids even once they lose the image discs
Really cool idea, however pictures are not very clear. If you push on the disc you can sharpen the focus but not something my kids could do themselves. We had a lot of fun with it Christmas morning and they still play with them 6 weeks late as regular flashlights. If you’re getting a flashlight then you will get a bonus with the picture discs as well but only in a very dark room and with some adult help to Center the image.
Will still buy again next year for stocking stuffers but with lower expectations

Brilliant buy
Bought 2 for my kids and 1 for my nephew. Biggest hit at Christmas! Comes with a few different slides to reflect different dinosaurs. Really effective. Can zoom in or out for clarity and larger or smaller images. My kids are 2 and 4 and can work it well.

my son Loves Dinosaurs and LOVES this torch. it loves amazing close enough to the wall so he shines it while he’s lying in bed. if he shines it on the roof it’s not clear just the shape of a dinosaur but it’s very clear closer on the wall.

Bought two of these for my 4 and 6 yr old boys. Some of the reviews weren’t good about size and quality. Yes the torch is small but it’s actually a perfect size for little hands. The quality of the photos are really good my boys love shining these in the dark on their bedroom walls and all around the house and in their dens. When I first opened this I was very disappointed in the size but my little boy who it was for loves it and has took it everywhere with him and loves looking at the dinosaurs at night when he goes to bed would recommend to anyone who has a little person who loved dinosau
I bought this as a stocking filler for my 2 year old soon, having read reviews and thought why not give it a go and it is now one of his favourite toys! it was such a hit my 3 year old begged for one! The torch is a lot smaller in real life than the pictures in the advertisement, but that’s not a negative as it suits my children’s little hands just perfectly and does exactly what it’s meant too. We have had endless fun with this from dinasour hunting, to hide and seek. It is the go to tool now for when my toddler is upset come bedtime and a way of getting him into his cot and settled down, he is just fascinated. To all those woundering should I? … yes you should.

Another Excellent purchase from the Natural History Museum. I’ve bought these torches from them in years gone buy and the quality really is very good in every way. I bought from another brand recently and they were rubbish. For educational toys the Natural History Museum comes out tops for a first choice every time.

Pocket-size fu
Much smaller than you would expect, almost key chain size. However it does what it’s supposed to. The picture slides mainly consist of sharks and whales but also some different fish. My two year old loves it regardless.

My daughter received this for Christmas and absolutely loves it. Educational and easy to use. The lens can be focused so don’t be surprised if images projected at different distances appear blurry!
Purchased as a present and seemed pretty popular. Love that is has some obscure sea creatures on there – a good way for kids to learn beyond easy words like ‘fish’. Simple design and easy to use.
Watch the faces and eyes of the little ones light up when they see the pictures projected on the wall, ceiling, bed, cupboard, Times-table poster, and whatever else they want to shine this on. Don’t expect HD quality pictures but this works a treat. Every 5 year old I know absolutely loves having a torch to play with anyway, nevermind the pictures of fabulous sea creatures. The names of the sea creatures are identified and stated on the back of the packaging to further capture their interest. Batteries included. This torch may be small but it’s a winner.
Bought this for my little boy who’s nearly 3 for Christmas and he loves it. Images show up really well on the wall or ceiling. Full colour. The only this I’d recommend or change is putting a hole in the middle if the slides so they can go on the chain and don’t get lost. We like to play David Attenborough with it and use it to tell stories. Finally an item the comes with battery’s included
Bought two of these torches for the Grandchildren (3 and 4) and they loved these. We went for a dark walk, and ended up ‘being chased by dinosaurs’ it really fired up their imaginations (Grandkids pointing torch backwards and running) it was hilarious. They take the torches everywhere with them. Discs are quite small put the Grandkids were still able to switch them over in the torch. Worth every penny.

My just turned 2 year old is obsessed with all things dinosaur- I swear the kid even dreams about them- so when I saw this for the low price I figured it was worth it.
When it arrived it was smaller than I anticipated- with 3 small looking slides.
But when I gave it to him- he was delighted- he sat in the car hugging the packet all the way home!
Once opened- set up was easy- as batteries are provided- just pull out the tag on the battery compartment and pop in your slide and you’re ready to roll.
My son was jumping up and down in delight at the projections- and we were playing with this torch for a good 2 hours….
He was loving jumping on the dinosaur when we projected it on the floor, dancing dinosaur when we projected it on the walls. He is too small to change the slides and turn the slides himself as of yet- but this product is aimed at 3+ and my son is only just 2.
Many of the images are dinosaurs, some are fossils, odd one or two is of spikes or a claw.
All said and done this is a childs toy- it’s small for their little hands, the projections are clear- but they’re not HD- because lefts face it- it’s aimed at kids and cost you a fiver……just enjoy you’re childs entertainment- they don’t care its a little bit blurry- all they’re bothered about is that dinosaur on the living room wall!!

My three year old son was given this as a gift and we have all been so impressed with it (he loves it!) that we have since bought another one for a friends 5 year old son and it has been a bit hit for them also! I think it has an appeal to a wide age range, though particularly 3-6 years. My three year old delights in the fact that he has his own little gadget coupled with his love of dinosaurs and I love the fact that it is educational in both science (the mechanism of the projector) and also natural history. To be honest, it’s also just very cool to be able to project big dinosaurs on to your bedroom ceiling and walls, and make them look like they are eating your parents and siblings heads isn’t it?!

Great gift for kids
I purchased this for my then 2 and a half year old godson about a year ago. I am determined that he will be a massive geek and love all things science related. Best get started with the brainwashing early I say. I purchased both the Space Torch and the Dinosaur torch. The discs are interchangeable with either torch. The images project onto ceilings or walls brilliantly. You can adjust the focus to get a nice crisp image. Getting the discs in is a bit fiddly and but once inserted, you rotate the disc to see the next image. They were an instant hit with my godson. His parents periodically “misplace” the torches so they could be rediscovered. Any time they reappear, he’s just as excited as the first day he received it. As he gets older, we are able to talk more about the images he’s seeing…what the different dinosaur names are, what the different galaxies look like, etc. I’m looking forward to what he comes up with in the years ahead.

I bought this as a top-up present for my 6 year old dinosaur loving son, & he’s suitably impressed. I did read all the bad reviews first – I would agree that yes, it’s kinda small, but if it was much bigger it would be too unwieldy for little hands. And no, the pictures aren’t exactly HD quality, but it’s clear enough & quite effective in the dark. Even his 7 year old sister thinks it’s great.
So expect to receive a slightly overpriced child’s torch, not an amazingly cheap projector, & remember it’s aimed at young kids, not palaeontology students, & all will be well.

My son turned 4 last week and I knew he wanted a torch to play with. After looking in shops (nothing decent), I browsed Amazon and found this one. For the price – brilliant. Lots of little dinosaur pictures to be projected on the wall and a normal torch if you want it.
Yes, it’s small but as kind reviewers had already let me know this, I wasn’t disappointed when it arrived.
He’s fascinated with it and as a small birthday gift, it’s near perfect. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that I agree with other reviewers; produce one in a larger size please. We’d pay the extra!

I bought this for a present for a 3 year old. She loved it and immediately took it to her darkened bedroom to use it. My 3 year old boy loved it and wanted to play with it as well. He then received it as a present from someone else at his party! It made him so happy, he kept making the t rex walk across the carpet and ignored All other toys! I bought this for a present for a 3 year old. She loved it and immediately took it to her darkened bedroom to use it. My 3 year old boy loved it and wanted to play with it as well. He then received it as a present from someone else at his party! It made him so happy, he kept making the t rex walk across the carpet and ignored All other toys! Pictures are blurry when big but good at short distance.
