GREAT PREASSURE WASHER NOT SO GREAT HOSE
I bought this preassure washer to replace an older one that was not ag good as it use to be. Its more or less put together in the box. I have used it to wash the cars and my patio and its a very powerful machine and more than capable of the jobs I use it for. The only bad thing I can say about the Nilfisk 145.4 is the hose is a cheap plastic one that will kink very easily. I already had a better replacement hose as I have come across this problem before on my last machine. I would recommend this preassure washer but just be aware the the hose may cause problems depending on how often you use it.

Very powerful but wheels help in moving unit despite it being heavy and sturdy.
After using the 110Bar unit, this 145Bar is just fantastic.
Our old 110Bar unit had packed in. It was 5 years old perhaps with plenty of use. However a lengthy patio cleaning day using my neighbours patio attachment killed it off with the pump sounding as if it’s mashing nuts and bolts!
So, bought this 145Bar unit as an upgrade replacement and wow was it worth it. It comes ready assembled, it weighs almost twice the weight of the smaller unit and it packs a punch. !
I attached it to a newly acquired Patio Cleaner attachment and I was happily cleaning away ingrained moss from the patio very easily and without getting soaked myself. The other amazing feature is how quiet it is for a powerful pressure washer. I was so eager to test I had it up and running in less than 15 minutes and quickly cleaned the patio, in the dark (not recommended) using my torch to guide me!! Madness, but such satisfaction looking at the patio the next morning :-).

Great presssure washer. Seems a lot sturdier and better built than the Karchers I’ve purchased before. Standard hose reel is a great feature which makes clearing up a lot easier. Ideal for various tasks , car, driveways etc. Would definitely recommend.

Read lots of reviews of pressure washers. There are always a few bad reviews for whatever you look at which makes it hard to choose. Chose the Nilfisk its superb. It is a quality product that I am sure will last for years. I have used it to jet wash all my paths and patio works like a dream and takes all the hard work out of it. Hose is plenty long enough to not have to keep moving the machine. Its on wheels so easy anyway. Also bought the adapter for car washing and the washer bottle which I filled with Autoglym PB002.5 Polar Blast, works a treat on the car. No hesitation in recommending.

Great performace
No issues with the performance at all, has done everything I’ve thrown at it with ease. Invested in a hose extension just so I can set up the washer and do the cars in one go without needing to move it but it’s easy enough to manoeuvre if required.
I have given this 5 stars because it is in my opinion a very good, well-built (mostly) machine. My local Nilfisk repair and sales company also think it is a good machine. I had my first Nilfisk (different model) in 2000 and it lasted without any faults until 2019 when I purchased this unit (from Amazon) as a replacement. There are a lot of one star reviews on here which mostly seem to be about a specific fault to do with the machine cutting out when being operated. I didn’t see those comments when I ordered mine in July 2019. I have developed the same problem. I contacted Amazon last week and they pointed me to Nilfisk in Penrith. I phoned them and gave the details of the fault. They thought it might be the upper part of the handle, which they said contained a pressure valve, although I have now been told by my local dealer that the pressure valve is actually inside the machine body. The new handle they sent arrived yesterday and the machine still failed. I phoned Nilfisk back and they asked me to ‘securely package’ it and they would pick it up by courier for repair under warranty. The problem is I don’t have the original packaging and Nilfisk were rather vague about the packaging requirements when I asked them. In the end I phoned my local Nilfisk dealer and he said as long as I had the invoice they could repair it and make a warranty claim on my behalf.
I took it into my local Nilfisk dealer yesterday and they are repairing it free of charge, under warranty. If you have a similar (or any other) fault with this machine it might be easier to just do as I did, but I should stress that I checked first with Nilfisk before I took it to the local repair shop. I think the fault only affects a few machines, but that is based upon something that was told to me by Nilfisk.
To recap, the machine itself is fine, and I have no doubts about Nilfisk general quality as my last one lasted 19 years. I looked at several other makes of pressure-washer here on Amazon and there seems to be problems of varying types with those too. I guess it’s just the times we live in! Nilfisk are generally good.

This machine maybe heavy for some but it’s not a problem for me and there are wheels which makes moving it around easy. You won’t have to worry about it tipping over during operation of whilst moving the hose around.
Noise – I’ve found this unit to be quiet. Not silent but definitely not noisy. When the trigger on the lance is not pressed in the unit cuts out. Press the trigger and it starts again. If youre looking for a machine that is low noise this is one not to be missed.
Fittings – the fittings are good and well made. The variable pressure lance head performs really well and is easy to twist. The foam/detergent bottle is surprisingly good too. Before using it I had planned to upgrade it immediately however after using it I was happy with the results so will keep with it for now (I may upgrade at a later date but its not essential). The patio cleaner is as expected and hose is strong and robust.
Power – There is plenty of power in this unit and it will not dissapoint. I’m used to using an industrial pressure washer at work and although it’s not as powerful as one of those machines it still gets similar results. I purchased this predominantly to wash my cars but it will be used once or twice per year to clean my drive way. I’ve tested the washer on my driveway and have found it to be more than able to remove all dirt/stains without any issues.
Overall I can highly recommend this. If you are looking for a well made, solid and good performing machine than this is the one for you.

Karcher nae mare....
So far so good. Having just returned the latest Karcher K5 to B&Q, as it had started to disintegrate after 6 weeks and 4 uses, I plumped for Nilfisk. I’ve had a succession of Karcher over the last 20 years but IMHO they’ve lost their way.
Time will tell but so far the E145 seems good. Reasonably robust with a tangle free hose and straight forward controls. (Not sure why Karcher see the need to have a wifi connection between the lance and his the pump!)

Great quality washer with a good selection of accessories in the box.
The soap applicator in the kit isn’t great, get yourself a snow foam gun, they’re about 20-30 and so much better. It appears to be quieter than the cheaper models and it’s got one hell of a punch to it.

The first one I got from Amazon died after 1 day of use. Thankfully Amazon replaced it quickly and the new one is going great. If it stay going for a year I will update my review to five star.

Great replaceme
Great item. Especially liked the rewindable hose. The weight is relatively light compared to my kaput Alto washer and it takes up far less room in the garage. Sadly the lances are now plastic instead of brass, but this seems to be the case for most non-professional washers. With a bit of luck it will last last as long as my old one (21 years).

Highly impressed , ordered on a Saturday & it was delivered the next day Sunday. Checked out different power washers & decided on the Nilfisk E145 bar , I’ve only used it twice but no problems & would recommend.
Powerful and effective
So far, so good. I’ve been using this power washer and had no issues. It does what it is supposed and is effective. The length of the hose is very convenient, which makes me think that it would be difficult to use a hose with smaller length.

I’ve got through two Karcher washers now. Both were early generation and very solidly built. Lifting them took quite some effort as they were made in the days before everything went plastic. But that didn’t stop one from jamming its valve all the time and refusing to spray. The second went to the dump when it sprang a leak in the front metal casing. Good riddance.
Reading reviews of all pressure washers on the market it seems they all have problems, except perhaps for the “Kranzle” brand but they start at 480 and go up. That’s too much for my occasional pressure washing. As it happens I had some years ago bought the entry model Nilfisk pressure washer. It is very small and I take it in my car when I need two do light cleaning jobs. Although lightly constructed, and with a hose that easily kinks, it never lets me down. Despite some negative reviews of this E145 model, I took the risk, based on my own Nilfisk experience, and bought one when it was included in Amazon’s deal of the day.
Assembly
– the included instructions are confusing as they apply to several different models
– but with this model all you do is snap in the winder handle and it is ready to go. Time taken: about five seconds.
First impressions
– sturdy and well built
– not many tools included but looking at the optional accessories I don’t need any of them
– on my first outing I went over some mould-on-fibreglass patches that my small Nilfisk could not budge. Deep joy. This powerful model wiped them out just like that. The higher pressure cleaning power is really noticeable and the jet is easy to control and direct. I like it a lot.
– the hose management is really good. I can pull out the hose without the freestanding unit falling over. When I wind in the hose, because it passes through a metal loop guiding it towards the centre of the reel, it is a handsfree operation. So easy to use.
– the hose will not kink
– all the accessories, even the foam bottle, clip into the washer.
– the washer handle slides down when not it use for compact storage.
– the hose length is generous. I don’t have to use a mains cable extension to go around my car.
So far, very impressive. If you want a highly practical and powerful washer, this fits the bill. I have my fingers crossed for longevity. One final comment, I see some reviewers mention their lack of satisfaction on Nilfisk support. I did email Nilfisk support with a question and received a reply very promptly. I will have to keep my fingers crossed for continuing prompt support.

After three operations the tornado nozzle failed. Without returning the full unit i’d be wary of this product. New nozzle ordered, fingers crossed.

Been using this now for several months, it does the job, much quieter than our previous (won’t mention the brand) and more powerful.
The only gripe I have is that the long hose tangles up when it’s fully extended – not sure if this down to the quality or it’s new, so may need to soften up with use.
Fantastic Pressure washe
This is so much better quality than it’s yellow rival. Nice selection of nozzles. Great design for winding and unwinding the hose. Storage of nozzles on the machine are perfect. All in all this blows the competition out of the water and i’ve had several of the yellow ones.

Used it to clean our new riven sandstone patio (pretty large) which after not many months was dirty and covered in green algae. Fantastic results! there is no way I would be able to keep it clean without this; it looks pretty much back to new. Build quality looks really good; it has an induction motor and metal pump unlike most other domestic models so should hopefully last.

I’d had my old Karcher, a very basic model, for 22yrs but it was going to die one way or another so I weighed up all the options and went with this the E140, mainly because of the induction motor. I actually think that the K4 and this and several other washers are all but identical except in price and colour. I’ve been using it for a while now and can’t fault it at all. I did manage to break the hose connector off at the unit, totally my fault but to my relief I found the broken part, the weak link is the screw on fitting which is a standard hose fitting so cheap to replace (under 1), an easy thing to break, I moved the unit and caught the hose, so good design it breaks this not the unit fitting.
The vari-lance is great, I did also buy the adaptor to use my old KArcher under chassis lance but so far haven’t found the need to do so. (I did also buy the Nilfisk under chassis and would say don’t bother, unlike the Karcher one it is short and much less useful).
The soap dispenser works fine, but recommend you dilute your soap/cleaner etc as it gets through it fast. The long hose is great, I can go round a big 4×4 without moving the unit and keeping it back from the spray too. it winds on easily without kinking and is good quality.
Overall a well thought out design and a powerful unit.
It is very well made and does an excellent job.
It performed really well. I am delighted with the results I was able to achieve with this machine.

Best power washer I've owned
Best power washer I’ve owned. I use it on a daily basis as I have a car sales company. Only slight downfall is the attached pipe. It tends to crease/bend but apart from that we’ll worth buying.
Super blaster!
My new toy, blasts away pigeon poop from my paving slabs. I had forgotten the slabs used to be a pale colour after they came up like new. Much quieter and far more efficient than a different make of pressure washer I had used and given away. The whole thing is well made and well designed. Chuffed to bits with it.
great product, really good to use, had it a couple of months now and can’t say anything bad about it. bought it to replace earlier nikfisk washer and this one has corrected all the little niggles of the last. the soft hose winds in so easily I wish the other lance broke earlier ( the unit still works fine – my son is having it just replacing the lance and that has had a lot of use) so I didn’t even consider another make
A must have tool
Old pressure washer lost power, so decided to buy this, what a beast, it will clean anything, just be careful of using it on tarmac drives it will lift the tarmac if held too close but for pathstones and brickworks it is fantastic.

So much better than comparable makes (particularly a certain yellow variety). Well made, with a long hose (easy rewind) and useful accesories. Heavy to lift but easy to manoeuvre on its large diameter wheels. Fairly noisy in operation but a small price to pay for such an effective machine.

This had served me well, but finally gave up the ghost after many years good service.

Bought to replace an earlier model which is showing “tiredness” after 10 years regular use. If this one lasts as long there will certainly be no complaints. Definitely recommend Nilfisk!!
This is a great pressure washer for use with a water butt. Previous pressure washers I have used have struggled to deliver a useful pressure when using a water butt, but this unit is as good as its competitors are when they are connected to mains water.
It comes with a decent selection of accessories and they fit together and come apart more easily than other brands. There is also an adapter available so that other brand accessories can be connected, to avoid wasting accessories if changing brands.
The unit is heavy compared to other pressure washers, although this shouldn’t come as a surprise given that the pump is made from metal rather than plastic. It is a good thing it comes with wheels fitted.
There was very little assembly to be done once removed from the box. It was restricted to clip together/screw on items rather than anything requiring tools. My only concern was that the small filter which fits inside the water inlet was loose inside the packaging. It was difficult to find and could easily have been broken as it is not particularly robust. Everything else was very securely packaged.
