Bought this to replace the sureflap when moving out and wanted to take that with us. Quality is really rather good considering the price point. Several locking options. No in or out, in but not out, out but not in, open both ways.

    Nice pet doo
The pet door is easy to install and works as it should. The only con is that when the flap is closed, the cat needs to push very hard to open it.

Good quality my cat wouldn’t use to begin so had to tape up but removed the magnet so he now goes in and out easier better then me letting him ou

I bought this as a direct replacement for a cat flat my parents bought over 20 years ago and it is exactly the same, simple switch over and the cat was ready to test it out! Simple design, and goes to show that if the design “ain’t broke, don’t fix it”

This was recommended to me by the person who was fitting my cat flap. Very pleased and my cats who have never used a cat flap took to it within a few days

Decent catflap but make sure your cat is strong enough for your cat to push through it
We have had to take on of the magnetic strips off for now because our 5 month old is to small to push it ope

Very simple and easy to fit. Comes with a cut out guide so you literally cannot get it wrong. It’s magnetic too so always flaps back into place so it doesn’t let the cold or rain in. I got mine with a tunnel could have done without but I actually prefer i

    Remove magnet for kittens.
If you get this for a kitten/smaller cat or perhaps even just whilst you’re teaching a regular size cat I would reccomend removing the magnet attached to the flap as it is quite strong and required too much force for my kittens to push through the flap.

The magnet comes off fairly easily if you pull from the corner and work your way around the plastic clips and does not prevent the lock system from working.

I don’t think there will be any issues re-attaching when they are bigger if we feel it’s needed (the flaps aren’t installed on our house door but rather our shed which is sheltered so wind blowing isn’t an issue for us)

If not for this I might have had to return the flaps so it would be good if this was highlighted as it seems like a good feature.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReplacement for a broken one.
The cats are all mental. One flew in the other day and smashed the door off the hinges. It was an old unit (same make and model) and had served us well over the years. this one was cheap, came quickly and was fitted in minutes in the hole left by the previous one. Cats are happy now, though one (Pippin) will only go out by pulling it open rather than just pushing through. Odd cat.

Bought as a replacement for old cat flap where the rubber draft excluding edges had eroded. And was perfect match. Arrived promptly, and was fitted in less than half an hour (two screws) Would recommend

Apologies for the dirt, already in use! I bought this to replace a 15hr old Petsafe car flap. Installation was very easy though historically the hole was bigger.

We did have to trim the tunnel a little to the thickness of the door panel, though with a multi tool cutter this was really easy.

All fittings supplied, and total time to install from start to finish approx 20mins.

Very pleased, it’s of great quality and sure to last another 15 years.

This cat flap is well made, durable and easy to install. The tunnel on the outside really helps keep the wind/reason and leaves out but also makes it harder for the cat to bring any “presents in!

Cat flop - Oops! Cat flap😂👍
I’ve had a few of these, generally quite good, when I have a breakage ( usually a neighbors cat charging through it and breaking the flap) the hole is already cut and takes just a few minutes to replace as it’s a direct swap ,probably the main reason for not changing, and yes would and probably will buy again.thanks.

This is saving me so much time having to keep getting up and down to either let my 3 cats in or out. It literally took 15 minutes between taking the door off its hinges, cutting the hole, installing the cat flap and putting the door back up. I thought my cats would take a few days to get used to using it but after 1 day/night they come and go at their pleasure and I’m really pleased with it. The only issue for me is that my cats are only 15 month old or so(2 sisters and a brother) and I think they’d struggle to get in and out if they get any fatter lol. The opening isn’t as big as I thought but so far they can get in and out no bother. It’s not quiet closing but it’s not too loud either, I hear them coming and going during the day but so far it hasn’t disturbed my sleep and they are always out when I come down in the morning. For the price, easy installing and sturdiness I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a catflap

    Useful cat flap
The installation was okay and my cat learnt to use it fairly quickly. He generally will only use it to get into the house and is not keen on exiting through the flap possibly due to the magnetic catch being quite strong.
We haven’t used the lock so I can’t comment on it other than it appears to be easy to use.

    Cat flap
Having 8 cats it needed to be a tough one and this does just the job especially when they try to go though it at the same time. Till they realise that is a impossibility. It certainly has taken a beating but still no cracks. Amazing.

    Simple to operate
This was a replacement for an older cat flap which had been professionally fitted. Easy enough to replace the old one but I can’t comment on the ease of fitting one from scratch. The 4-way locking system is very easy to operate while the cats have never had a problem in using it.

We had an old version of this cat flap in our door. So it took 2 minutes to replace like for like. Took the magnet out at first as kitten was too small/lazy to push open. Magnet is now back in and it works perfectly.

    Replacement fitted perfectly
Needed to replace our ancient cat flap. This one looked the same so I took a chance, and it fitted perfectly. Screw holes in correct position, and they send you an assortment of screws so you can choose the correct length. I’d have replaced it years ago if I had realised it was this easy. Very pleased.

    Staywell Cat Flap
Bought as a replacement for an earlier Staywell cat flap which had lasted for many years. This was a perfect fit – it is good that the dimensions and fixings haven’t changed. But the flap is now more opaque which means the cat can’t see through it so easily, and I can’t think why the manufacturer thought it needed alteration . No doubt if puss was writing this, it wouldn’t get 5 stars ! But delivered very quickly at a very competitive price so happy to recommend !

    Sturdy but oddly placed lock
This is good quality and works well. About as easy to fit as any cat flap. But… assuming you want the visible exterior of your house to look neat, the locking mechanism is very oddly placed on the “finished” side of the flap. (Our previous magnetic staywell flap wasn’t like that). You’d not want to put it on a front door if you have mischief makers around who might shut your cat out. Your alternative is to have the side with exposed screws and the tunnel facing outward… and this could let rain in. Seems like a bizarre design flaw to me.

A bit stiff for smaller cats.
A very easy, like for like, replacement. We have three cats and they were all a little reluctant to make the change as the magnetic closure is harder to use than the old one. But we persevered and they got the hang of it after a couple of weeks. They still sometimes have a moan (I guess that is in the cat nature) but get in and out when they have to.

My cat had broken the internal door of the cat flap, so ordered the exact same one, in the hope it would fit. It was easy to fit and the tunnel part makes it sturdier. So far my cat hasn’t broken this one.

Everything about this cat flap is fine, the locking, installation, size, the only issue is for my cat as she finds it difficult to push open, maybe the magnet is just a little to strong, but the wind stays out.

First ever cat flap purchase and install.

Works well and doesn’t make too much noise when the cat goes in and out.

Easy to install, especially if you use a jigsaw. Only thing I would say is take extra care making sure everything is level and consider the drop on the otherwise.

    Cat flap...
Very easy and quick to install. We unscrewed our old one * must be at least 10,+ years old now- then attached the new in exactly the same place. Took all of 3 minutes.
Our previous catflap was destroyed when the dog decided to try and follow the cat through the cat flap and into the kitchen.
He has absolutely no concept of spacial awareness.
We dont always lock the catflap, so haven’t actually tested this bit yet.

    Easy installatio
We installed this ourselves in a uPVC door with ridges to cut through. The included paper template won’t work on doors with ridges, bit get 3 corners accurate and do some careful measuring for the 4th.
The magnet is quite strong, and our cats had no idea what to do with the cat flap so we removed it initially which was easy to do. Once the cats had sussed it the magnet went back on easily.
The lock in/out knob is fairly easy to turn, if not a little small to grip but works great
Other than that: it’s a cat flap. It flaps for cats. 5 stars.

Good cat door with 3 options.
We have used this type of cat door for many years. Replacements only become necessary when a cat is in a rush ( being chased ? ) and puts a little too much weight on the tunnel step. This doesn’t happen very often. All of our cats, past and present, have learned to use it quickly. Would recommend this item.

Golden Review Award: 59 From Our UsersGo for the one with the tunnel
For anyone in doubt, if you are installing this in to a normal door (not a thick wall etc) then go for the one with the tunnel. I was worried that the tunnel some how connects or slots in to the outside face plate but it doesn’t. The outside face plate goes around the tunnel. So if the tunnel is too long then it will simply stick out a little on the outside of the doorthe face plate however will be flush with the door. This just gives the cat a little more room to stick their head out so wouldn’t look too weird. My door is 4.5cm thick and the outside face plate is around 1 cm thick so the tunnel pretty much matches up flush with the outside face plate. Now my understanding of the one without the tunnel is that you’ll get an inside face plate (the side that has the flap) and an outside face plate. The problem with this is that your cat will have to step over the cut surface in the middle of your door. If you have a solid wood door, this might not be a problem, although it might help protect the door if the cut middle is covered with the tunnel. If like me you have a door with a void in the middle then the tunnel will cover this whilst the one without won’t. More so, my door is metal with a foam centre. Having the tunnel means there should be no chance of the cat coming in contact with the rather rough cut edge of the door. For anyone in doubtthe tunnel is firmly part of the inside face plate. You can’t remove it and it would be a pain to cut shorter. You shouldn’t need or want to cut it anyway but that was something I considered when I was looking at both options so thought it might help someone. If the tunnel was too short for any reason, I don’t think that would be an issue either. It would simply cover up some of the cut surface and just not all of it. If you need a really long tunnel then I believe the one without the tunnel to start with can have tunnel bits added on where the one that comes with the tunnel to start with cannot have extended tunnel bits added. Other than that, it’s a decent enough cat flap, seems to have a magnetic bit to help hold it closed so the wind doesn’t blow it open and looks smart enough on the door. Instructions are clear enough and it comes with a handy template to work out where to cut.
