Was very easy to fit, all my dogs able to use from small jack russell to husky sizes.

Just fitted this and was very satisfied until I tried to slide in the locking door. You slide it in from the top. It is made of rigid plastic. The panel in the PVC door in which I fitted the pet door is recessed, making it almost impossible to slide in the locking door. I actually had to shave the edges of the locking door to get it to slide in and in so doing cracked it. It’s still a fiddle to get it in and out. I’m now contemplating buying a replacement locking door or buying a more flexible piece of plastic which will more easily manoeuvre into position. The other alternative is to remove the pet door and fit some kind of spacer to bring it further our so the locking door can more easily slide in. This won’t look so neat and of course I will need new plastic screws as I’ve cut the other ones to size. I’m amazed the manufacturers don’t warn you of this. Many doors have recessed panels like ours. If you not a dab hand at DIY like me, you probably wouldn’t think of this when buying and fitting. Archie, my Springer is going back and forwards. I had to entice him with treats. I can see he will soon be bounding through.

This is a high quality product. The large size is bigger than you think – mine was bought for access for my Cocker Spaniels, but the 50kg Rottweiler passes through it as well. It is a pity it only comes in white. I spray painted mine to match the rest of my decor.

Great door. Easy to fit, easy to use. My staffie just comes and goes as she pleases. After her first few attempts she worked it out. Flap stays closed and minimal draft. Haven’t had to use hard cover yet, even during the winter months.

Loads better than the normal plastic ones I have used in the past, 4 in total, all gone brittle and broke. Wish I had changed to one if these years ago.
Used to have a PetMate door with a solid plastic flap, which broke before our dog was a year old, so bought this when we moved to a new house. We got the large size for our 25kg labradoodle and it seems about right.
The door has a metal frame and flexible plastic flap which feels like it will last much longer. It’s also much quieter when she goes in and out and closes better to keep out the elements. The removable panel to shut the door off also feels very solid and secure.
However, after 7 months the plastic bolts suddenly broke when the dog came in, leaving her wearing the inside of the door around her middle! I repaired it with some metal M4 bolts and it’s now better than new. I understand that the bolts need to be cut to length according to the width of the door, and plastic makes it easier to install, but it would have been better if it was supplied with metal bolts. Considering that a person can easily fit through the large door it would also feel more secure when closed off, as the plastic bolts could be very easily broken from the outside.

Brilliant dog flap
Brilliant dog flap. It’s been in for 18 months now and despite constant use by the dog and cat it’s as new, no broken pieces at all.

Really great product, second one I have bought,(we have 2 dog sheds) keeps the dogs nice and cosy but the dog soon learns how to push the flap and go into her run. Really easy to fit and I am an old lady and have fitted both.

Good quality product. I am very pleased with the purchase.
Great Flap, Bought for a Irish setter (large Dog) really easy to fit to the door and I am very surprised how little draft / cold it lets trough the door.
I recommend putting a bead of silicone on the joints of the flap during assembly to stop any stray rain getting inside.
Once this is done its a class A door.

I have two staffs who race in and out the dog flap so far they have broken four of the hard plastic dog flaps.
This one is still going strong and is so much better than the hard plastic dog flaps.

Brilliant purchase. Took a little while for older dog (age 14) to get the courage to go through it but he,s quite happy now. House training a bit slow with 3 month old pup, but since he has been using the pet door, there are no ‘accidents’ in the house.

Two problems with it though, one: the plastic screws break off too easily (can easily be sorted by fitting metal ones) two: if you have a panelled door like mine you probably won’t be able to slide the cover on, I made a modification to the cover though which has sorted this out.

A quieter life!
Very pleased with the pet door, especially as I was replacing the rigid types which worked well but noisy. Bought one and soon bought another! I have 4 dogs with permanent access outside, and my bedroom is above the kitchen where one is sited.

Perfect size for my airedale
Perfect size for my airedale, good quality and price, really helpful with constant access to the rear garden. I had to change the plastic screws for more resistant metal ones after my dog force the closed door and went through but really happy about the frame and and quality in general. I would recomend the one to everyone looking to buy a pet door.

Good buy although had to replace fixing screws , as the heads of screws broke off, only fault .
This is a good quality dog flap. However, please note that the thickness of your door is crucial, otherwise you will have to build a frame inside your door!!! I had to do this and had to build an internail frame 2cm thick which added considerable time to the fitting of the flap. Also the plastic screws can snap so make sure you are reallly careful when you are tightening them – I made this mistake and snapped one! I then had to search in my tool box for a substitute!! It was all fun and games but i got there in the end and my dog had taken to it like a duck to water, with the help of a few treats!!

Ideal for our large Labrador, who just can’t seem to stop playing outside. Saves standing by the back door. Not sure I’d have this in a less secure place, or more open spot, as it’s large enough to get a slim youth through… but the dog loves it and the product is ideal. Tough and cleanable.

Excellent door and much stronger that the plastic ones, the only thing that lets it down is the plastic bolts…. I snapped all 4 of them

We bought this model hoping that he would not be able to do the same with aluminium and yes! He is unable to bite it as the frame is almost flash to the door!
The only cons for us, the medium size of plastic and aluminium doors are different so make sure you take measurements!

Bought this dog flap for our golden retriever who broke our previous one. Only wish we’d bought it sooner! Quieter, cannot hear it at all.
Warmer, old one rattled in the wind and let cold in, this one closes quietly and firmly so no more draughts. My heavy handed son broke the head on one of the screw/bolts whilst fitting. I phoned customer service to buy replacement screws to be told that they would be sent free of charge. Very helpful, friendly company. Highly recommended.

Easy to fit. I like the soft flap – no more solid plastic hitting the dogs back as they walk through. Bit pricey I thought compared to the next size down.

It took our little guy (a juvenile whippet) a few days (and a fair bit of barking, admittedly!) to get the hang of using his magic door (as my sons call it!) but with the help of a few treats and his favourite toy, used as a lure, he now pops in and out perfectly and he LOVES it! And so do WE! No more accidents when we come down in a morning and don’t need to worry about him if we get held up when we go out!. And it does have an added bonus… The transparent design makes our small kitchen brighter too!!
