Strong root growth

Great product at a good price.
First time I have used this for gardening so I will have to see if it makes any difference. The published results and reviews encouraged me to try it out, so only time will tell.

I bought this bag of pearlite to use as a heat resistant mortar fill material. It worked very well, but was just a little coarser than I would have liked for that purpose.
Having said that, if you were building a pizza oven or similar, the aggregate size would be perfect.

Still not sure the difference between Vermiculite and perlite but

Wasn’t too keen on it being double non bagged as I can’t see that stopping g sack splitting hut lucky me it came in one piece and no spillage, size of perlite is ideal for rooting rose cuttings . Used a soft drink bottle cut about two thirds from the top add a little compost and the enrest perlite and give it a shake . Will buy agai

Been brainwashed by Monty Don to use this mixed with compost. As I’m filling up a new small greenhouse with pots, I thought I’d give it a go.
It’s been superb and got a much higher seed
germination rate and a high potting on survival rate when this is mixed with compost.

Its very white so in few years with global warming and lack of snow in winter i may throw some in garden that it looks like we had bit of snow to remind me of the good old day…i may plant some tropical plants outside in couple of years as winters well be rather warm..yet with this stuff it well remind me days of old..

I bought this months ago, we use it a lot as we have an allotment and we still haven’t used up half the bag! Amazing value for money, easy to carry and very useful indeed. It does release a lot of dust so make sure to let it get wet before handling as the particles are damaging for your lungs.

A good aid to growing on seedlings. Mixed with compost Perlite is a low cost addition to successful raising of seeds to blooms.

We have two things in our garden that benefit from this stuff, heavy clay soil and lots of stuff raised from seed / grown in pots
I have found that pot grown things particularly benefits from mixing this in the compost. Best bean harvest for years, incredible success with foxgloves and other from seed etc. Use approx 1/4 perlite to 3/4 compost
Once the pots have done their job, either raising seedlings or growing veg I empty the compost / perlite mixture in to the borders. It looks a bit odd for a while before the perlite mixes in
Had to buy another bag, as autumn arrives we are repotting some of the big perennial pots and want to get this in the mix to help the roots to breathe

My dad introduced me to perlite and I’m sold on it. My cutting survival rate has improved dramatically. I assume due to the improved drainage as it stores the moisture and dries out the compost. I had a bag of soggy horse manure and mixing this into it instantly turned it into a dry free flowing mix. You can even feel it sucking the moisture from your hands. 100l is a lot but I have huge planters so it won’t go to waste. The price seems good value for something so useful.

Bought to make some succulent and orchid compost. I usually mix this, coconut husk chips and some regular compost. This usually keeps good aeration and I’ve managed to keep my plants going strong after they’ve outgrown pots.
Out of random interest, perlite is not toxic to dogs, after my gorgeous labradoodle wanted to try it!

Can’t really fault the price and size of the bag, I have used it for planting, landscaping and even as an additive for concrete to reduce the mass. Works well!
Makes sense to buy in bulk
After already spending 7.99 for a 10L bag of Perlite (several times this year), it made sense to buy in a 100L bulk bag. What I don’t use this year I can safely store away until next year.

I bought it to propogate three small sized seed trays and a few glass pots so my wife can grow some succulents and I’ve still got loads left over.
For the price I paid and for the amount I got it’s a pretty good deal. I just hope it doesn’t soak up the air in the atmosphere while waiting for something else to be repotted.
Works well so far and I’ve noticed without a doubt my soil being in better condition.

Perfect medium for snake eggs.
Purchased this as hatching medium for my snake eggs instead of the usual vermiculite. Didn’t disappoint as the hatching rate was over 50% compared to previous year. Will use this in future plus it was good value.
