Great Saw
This is a great reciprocating saw which is relatively light and as you would expect from Bosch, well designed. I have yet to use it in earnest but I’m sure it will perform as expected. My only disappointment would be that only one blade, for wood, was included and a metal blade would have been a nice addition for a minimal cost.

Better feel and balance than a cheaper make it replaced but it is a more expensive tool and certainly not cheap. Cannot yet comment on reliability; time will tell

I can’t find any faults with it. Powerful lightweight, easy to work, the blades are easy to change. It cut through a fence post no problem.

This is a great machine and really easy to use. Can become quite heavy. Loses a star because sometimes the vibration is extreme and the blades blunt quite quickly.

With this sabre saw I was able to easily cut trough several roots 4 ” and 5″ diameter. Also cut like butter through branches that were far too thick for secretors. fantastic price via Amazon. I should have bought one years ago.

This is great for cutting logs and branches, although a bit heavy. Usual Bosch quality. Recommend.

Good, solid piece of ki
While this is a good, solid piece of kit, it does take a while to get through thick wood. It’s best to let the saw go at it’s own speed and not try to force it. Quite happy with my purchase but would have liked a storage case, like all my other Bosch hand tools – good price though.

I’m an amateur DIY’er sadly not in the best of health so I have been putting certain jobs ‘off’ due to ill health. I have a lot of wood between 3 and 4 inches thick that I want to cut down for fire wood, sadly there is too much for me to use a traditional manual saw so the wood was potentially going to go to waste. That is until I purchased this electric saw, only used it once (to see if it is suitable) and I’m very impressed. So much so, I might even be tempted to try harder tasks thanks to the ease of using this machine. When the weather warms up, I’ll be getting this task completed with an easy smile on my face, just one word of caution, as with all power tools, you must treat this machine with the respect it deserves and wear appropriate PPE

Really pleased with this item. Have used to cut down large wardrobe doors and to cut back trees in the garden. Does require a little patience cutting through thicker sections but does manage the job.

Exellent, very much like the quick release and fit for the blades, the ability to slightly bend the blade for cutting close to walls etc.

The best tool for the job
Bought to use on my classic car project, needed something to cut parts of the floors and chassis. this is safer than an angle grinder and reaches places you cant normally get in to with great accuracy.
Have also used to cut 2/4 wood with ease and some tubing. definitely a go to tool for all these jobs 🙂

Useful addition to your tool armoury!
Very handy for cutting a variety of materials. I’ve used it for cutting wood and scrap metal so far. The blade included is suitable for wood, but other blades can be sourced online.

I bought to cut in half lengthwise 2 x 10 feet scaffold boards builders had left.
These were as new, and seriously thick and the saw coped with easily. I did use plenty of oil on the blade and along the wood where cutting and a straight line wasn’t that important as using for frame for a garden shelter I was building.
I know a circular saw would be more suitable but I’m not likely to need one of those for other jobs.
The saw can be dangerous as there is no safety cut out and one is liable to pick it up by the handle and depress the on button, but provided one is careful, this is going to be a really useful tool for all wood cutting including smaller trees where a chain saw is overkill.

I like the nice weight of this saw which gives confidence when using it. Great for cutting both thick and thin garden posts. I’ve also used it for pruning a small garden tree. I’m more than happy with it.

Powerful and simple
Easy to use and dos the job. I’ve been using the battery version but needed longer life for cutting up small trees. Still use a chainsaw for the bigger ones though.

No safety switch.
I used this saw to reduce the growth on a large Laural tree and it saved lot’s of time and energy, however i think a double safety switch would be an advantage for amateurs.

Great saw
Cuts through firewood easily and my 3 inch diameter logs. Brilliant for jobs where my chainsaw is too cumbersome. Highly recommended.
Every home should have one
I’ve gone through one or two reciprocating saws before going for this Bosch which really looks up to the task. I originally got one to trim the edges off rotten tongue and groove on a shed. It has been used to cut shed and fence panels down to a size suitable for a car boot and as a substitute for a chain saw. It’s just great.

I bought this to replace an old reciprocal saw and wanyed to avoid the heavier pro tools. This is light and very powerful. The eliptical strike makes cutting easy and requires no effort. I cut up 10 pallets with ease and was able to reclaim a lot of the wood for future use as well as creating firewood.

Sawing made easy
I’ve not owned an electric saw before so it is hard to give a comparison review. I found the saw easy to set up and I’ve used it to cut railway sleepers and make lap joints so far. I have no complaints. It was a lot easier than using a hand saw. It does take a bit of getting used to but hold the saw firmly and it cuts straight.

I bought this to cut down a wooden fence that I had stated to cut with a saw, it was night and day, I cut the fence down in a quarter of the time it would gave taken me. I also used it to cut the roots of a hedge.

Get one! Get one! Get one! Get one! Fantastic bit of kit, love it to bits. Cuts things where you want them cut.
I expected to receive a new saw but when opened it was clear it had been used with dirt marks, sawdust and the cable was not wound properly and the box was torn in places. Very unhappy.
Am still suspicious about the box.To be fair to Amazon, the customer service was excellent. But I accept that maybe the. Jc was badly packaged athe factory maybe. Who know.
As for the product itself, and this is why I changed my mind and gave it 5 stars, it is an absolute beast. It cut through logs and branches like a knife through butter. Cut through 6 inch diameter tree trunks. Great bit of kit, feels slightly dangerous using it.
