Really good now I can play wii games on my wii u since the TV doesn’t support the cable. My only complaint is that it needs to be powered which is annoying but nothing an extension cable can’t fix (I only have 2 charging ports next to the TV). It was really easy to set up just plug everything in and go to settings to change the TV output. One of the outputs made the TV flash lights which was annoying but the other output worked fine.

We had an old Nintendo Wii that was occasionally used by the grandchildren – but when we upgraded the TV we not longer had the composite video connection. This box solved the problem and so far seems fine.

Excellent customer service
I initially struggled to get this item to play the footage from my camcorder to my smart tv, but after contacting the supplier, with my problem, they emailed me back within 12 hours, to help me sort the problem successfully, which was to simply plug the usb cable (that was supplied) into my phone charger plug. Needless to say I am now extremely pleased with the item and the customer service I received thank you very much

I bought this after several failed attempts to get miniDV footage onto my PC from my old Sony Camcorder and firewire port. Used in conjunction with a HDMI to USB3 video capture device, it works a treat and I can now get all my old recordings into video files on the computer. Given the source quality of miniDV (320×220) it does a pretty good job of upscaling.

It’s great! Fixed my issue. Sadly my monitor doesn’t have speakers so I had to sort out another cable to fix my adapter to speakers. Would have been a great idea to add an aux port on this.

Bought this product to connect a Nintendo Wii to my smart TV. The product didn’t seem to work at first, but it came with a note from the seller asking to get in touch if there were any issues. I sent them an email and promptly received a detailed response back with step by step instructions and all works really well now.
You can still manage to play it but the games do appear to be quite blurry. I'm not expecting to have N64 turn into this crystal clear HD picture but I expect to at least get the old picture from when I played on a big box tv.

This adapter was great! I bought it to hook up my wii to a tv without AV inputs. It is very small, which is convenient!. It is plastic however, so keep it somewhere it will not break. It also needs to be close to an outlet since you have to plug it into the wall, which made me need to move things around a bit.

Used this to convert old devices to capture them via HDMI and it hasn’t let me down yet! it comes in very handy, I have tested it with an old VHS player and it worked flawlessly so far it’s been a very handy, helpful adapter.
Bought to use a Wii Mini on a modern 4k TV with no component or Scart connections. Had previously tried two Hdmi converters until I found out that these are not compatible with the Wii Mini due to its video output being different.
This RCA to Hdmi converter does an excellent job. The image is obviously not HD but the Wii Mini is not capable of producing such an image. The colours are bright, it is displayed in wide screen with no stretching of the image, and the quality is surprisingly good.
How long the product will last is anyone’s guess but at the time of writing I can 100% recommend for anyone wanting to connect a Wii Mini.
I’m impressed at how well it works with my SNES console to adapt the audio and video for a 55″ 4k Sony TV. The image is a bit fuzzy and colour saturation varies but there is low input latency and it maintains the presentation of the SNES games well.
I was sceptical whether this would work after reading the reviews and having already returned a different sort of device for playing the Wii on a new TV. However, it works great after plugging in. No need to choose any particular settings etc as others have.

After initially thinking that the adapter didn’t work ( glitchy and no sound) I read a previous review which says ensure you check the HZ is correct. I had my Wii set to 60hz when it should have been 50 Hz. My son found these on Wii settings. Adapter works fine now. Thankyou!

Watched 8mm camcorder on tv - grea
This worked well for us to replay 8mm videos from our camcorder onto the latest tv that no longer has the relevant ports. The picture quality was slightly compromised but at least we could watch old family videos- until we get them uploaded to newer formats.

My TV only has one SCART socket, I figured I might as well convert my PS2 to HDMI connection. This device does exactly that, with an option of 720p or 1080p with a flick of the switch.
I bought this to connect a Sinclair ZX Spectrum to my LG monitor. The Spectrum had already been modified to product composite output.
It produces a good stable picture. It would be nice if the colours were a bit brighter but I suspect that’s the fault of the Spectrum not the converter.

If you’re intending to use this to run retro consoles through a modern TV then a company called neoteck makes one much more suitable.
For other things like using a VHS or DVD player this may do the trick but I can’t say as I haven’t tested it for this purpose

Sometimes but not often, there are video or sound issues that happen. Simply restart or change the input back & forth to fix. Could be my n64s fault and I have no way to tell otherwise.

This product is absolutely brilliant. I had purchased an expensive AV amp in October which should have been able to convert the old analog signal from my 1992 SNES games console … but found it couldn’t do it. This piece of equipment has come to the rescue and with in 2 mins of unboxing it , I had it all connected and my enjoyment of years gone by was restored!! Really grateful, so easy to set up…. fantastic bit of kit, well packaged, delivered on time no damage. Would definitely recommend.
Over the moon, I’ve finally been able to get my son’s Gamecube to work on our tv and he’s playing his old favourites again. Note though that you also need an HDMI to HDMI lead to connect it, but once all connected works like a dream….

Works perfectly. Allowed us to connect a retro games console with a triple RCA outlet to an HDMI monitor. Modern 4k TVs might not support your device if the output is low resolution but in our case a standard monitor worked.

Found this when I realised my audio video wires (Red,white & Yellow) for a secondhand Wii would not fit in my modern TV. The box converts them to HDMI. Worked perfectly! You would need your own HDMI cable and usb plug (check voltage) as does not come supplied only the box.
Worked perfectly connecting my 10 year old Nintendo Wii to a Samsung UHD smart tv. Was a bit hesitant to purchase after reading some of the other reviews but I did not have any of these problems. Set the device to 720p and using the usb power from the Tv. Great product. The kids hate the Wii Fit and have gone back to the PlayStation, so much for a bit of family activity time..

Very impressed with the product. It was simple to setup and I was able to connect my Blu ray DVD player with AV ports to TV with HDMI port. The clarity on bigger screen is not great when viewed closer about from a distance it is perfect. It is good on a smaller screen.
N64 into HDMI. Bit jagged picture but maybe if my TV had a Game picture mode it would be better. Maybe it’s because it’s giving out a 60Hz signal. No obvious lag. I wanted my N64 on my big telly and that’s what I got. Thanks.
An initial problem with the adapter made my screen glitch the whole time I used the Nintendo WII, so I gave a bad review. The seller has been super professional and helpful, sent me an email with some instructions. Turned out the problem was minor and didn’t have anything to do with the adapter, I only had to change the screen type from 60 to 50 hertz. Now the quality of the picture is perfect. 5 stars for the good product and for the quick help from the seller!

I got this so that I could use my older game systems (Sega Genesis/SNES/N64) on my new tv. It definitely works for that. Does it magically turn the old graphics into 1080p? No, but expecting that is honestly unrealistic. What it does is sizes the video output to your screen and lets you use old game systems on TVs that may not have RCA hookups. I haven’t noticed any lag either, which is nice.
May end up picking up a few more of these so I can have all the old systems hooked up without having to swap cords around.
I am struggling to find the right product for my gamecube to hook up with modern TV. They either are expensive or not compatible with my gamecube model. This product might not upscale to hd qualiday, but will be easier for those who does not have retro TV(Most modern tv does not come with av plug)
Don’t expect this to really output as 720 or 1080. What it does is it allows any RCA device to use an HDMI cable, and it stretches the image to fill the space. Having said that what it does is awesome. If you wish to convert vhs to digital media or just want something to get your PS2 footage to work on a capture this is a really good product. I hooked this unit up to my old Wii system cables and an HDMI cable out to my HD tv and it worked immediately. I was able to plug the power cable from the unit to the USB port on my tv, so no need to plug it into an electrical outlet. Sweet. The picture quality is the same as it always was with the Wii system (not high definition), so it was fine. The product was delivered on time and was easy for me to figure out what to do. I would recommend including in the instructions something about options for plugging in the power/electrical cable.
I have one of these converters to play my old video game systems on my smart TV and picked this one up so I could connect my old camcorder to a second smart TV to do some archiving while I’m stuck at home. 2 things we realized while trying to do it were: 1. You need an HDMI to HDMI cable in order to connect them- so we had to purchase that separately and 2. The product has to be plugged in in order for it to work. It comes with a USB charger so a power bar is handy.
I used it to hook up my laserdisc player to my new fangled 4k Samsung smart TV and I can tell you, it works. Haven't gone on a massive laserdic viewing binge so I can't tell you too much more than that, but I could watch my old laserdics of the theatrical cut of Empire Strikes Back with it, and that's what I bought it for.

Haven’t gone on a massive laserdic viewing binge so I can’t tell you too much more than that, but I could watch my old laserdics of the theatrical cut of Empire Strikes Back with it, and that’s what I bought it for.
Bought this convertor to have all my old camcorder footage and my VHS tape footage to hdmi recorder. You can also watch it on your TV.
