If you haven't played RE2 on ps 2 it's a must buy if your like survival horror.
It has it two different characters Chris and Claire and i like how the two stories intertwine upgraded graphics and sound good jump scares and awesome weapons but most of us might need a little help from a walk through certain puzzles can be a little frustrating but we’ll worth the wait for some zombie headshots.And a great boss fight.A must have if you games like this.

Non ho mai giocato l’originale, ma questo remake ben fatto, anche se non lunghissimo.

Non un paese per deboli di cuore: il remake di uno dei survival horror pi importanti degli anni 90′, con una grafica stupenda, meccaniche di gioco curate nei dettagli e un atmosfera perfetta per gli amanti del genere. Forse il miglior titolo per approcciarsi a questa saga storica.

To say this game is a Masterpiece in Survival Horror is simply inadequate praise. The atmosphere crafted by Capcom is the best I’ve ever seen, whether it’s day time or night time you will feel the full terror of the R.P.D. Extremely fun and terrifying, this game does justice to the original RE2 whilst becoming its own entity

Avviso a chi ha una versione digitale del gioco e credo si possa paragonare anche a tutti gli altri, sulla vostra console non verr percepita come una seconda copia quindi se voleste rigiocare il titolo per riprendere gli stessi trofei e il platino mi spiace non possibile, un peccato per me avrei dovuto aspettare fino a quando il fisico non scendeva a 20 ora o lo rivendo o lo tengo come feticcio.

Great update to a classic zombie campaign game
Got the zombie bug from watching the Walking Dead series. Remember this game from my younger gaming days. This version takes the overall gameplay of RE2 but introduces better game mechanics – rather than being “tank style” (look it up on Google) the characters control is much improved. And the game itself is great. You have to be careful with ammunition so it’s as much about avoiding zombies as killing them all, and there are puzzles to solve. So it’s requires a bit of brain work, but you still get to shoot lots of zombies.
This is the way a REmake should be done

Da ich ein riesen Fan von Resident Evil bin musste ich hier zuschlagen. Lange Zeit hat es mich abgeschreckt es zu kaufen weil man immer das Gefhl hat das remake kommt nicht ans original heran. Aber hier erlebt man es doch wieder neu. Die Grafik ist super und ich finde es zerrt gewaltig an den Nerven weil ein paar Dinge anders sind als im original. Da ich nicht spoilern will sage ich nur an dieser Stelle das sich das Spiel an euch anpasst. Einfach durchmarschieren ist nicht drin. Wer auf resident evil noch nicht kennt oder es wieder neu entdecken mchte kann ich es nur empfehlen zu kaufen.
Improved player's experience, but messed the original story.
Despite all reviews online, I wanted to buy this as it was one of my favorite games when it was released back in 1998. I must have played it more than 100 times and I still owe the original PS1 disk.
As before, you can play the game from one of two perspectives, that of either Leon S Kennedy or Claire Redfield. I have only completed the Claire Redfield perspective so far and it took me 8h 30 mins for my first playthrough.
Your adventure as either character starts on the road outside the city limits at an abandoned gas station in a short scene that effectively acts as a game tutorial. Here you will learn how character and camera movement operates, aiming and shooting works, and how to use your inventory and use various items.
Virtually it gave me goosebumps. Bullets and healing items are far too sparse even on Easy Mode, causing some bosses to be more irritating than enjoyable. I remember screaming “Noooooo, pls don’t die. I don’t want to replay this scene” lol
Overall, it was great to reminisce good old times but it felt too different from the original. The vibes were that this was a release to squeeze more money out of an already successful brand rather than me applauding for a good job on the graphics.
Either way, I feel that this needs to be played regardless if you are a Resident Evil fan.

Game and packaging ok.Enjoying the game even tho I’m kinda stuck at the mo.reminds me of the original I played on the Amiga or ps1(not sure which,was a long time ago.)

Tense but exciting horro
I had just finished RE7 and decided to play this one next. RE2 boasts some genuinely effective horror moments, I usually don’t find zombies too scary an enemy but I found them pretty threatening especially when cornered by a hoard. Characters like Leon and Ada are also particularly well written.
Very refreshing
It’s incredibly unusual these days for a game to come with so much content without having to pay extra for it afterwards.
Resident Evil 2 is an incredibly tense and claustrophobic horror game, with impressive graphics and satisfying combat and puzzles. It features two playable characters, each with their own playable scenario, as well as a remixed ‘second run’ for each upon completion which varies some item and enemy placements, and unlocks the ‘true’ ending of the game.
I have had a lot of fun and to date have clocked over 50 hours of play over its multiple difficulties while attempting to unlock all the bonus content and just enjoying the experience of replaying for the sake of it.
There are additional short modes with some unique characters available as reward for completion, as well as a host of free downloadable content, which admittedly varies wildly in quality. The core experience though is great and well worth the money.
There is also some paid dlc which pays homage to the original (this is a remake of a game from the late 1990s – things like a soundtrack swap) but this is all inexpensive if you’re interested in picking them up from the Playstation shop online.
Ultimately, I loved this game and the amount of content has kept me coming back for more long after purchase.

Very good game. The graphics and animation are really superb. Although, I’m kind of an old school gamer and that’s why I couldn’t get attached to this one like the original. It’s still a much recommended game.

How a remake should be done!!
This is a must buy if you are a fan of the franchise. I understand some can be skeptical when it comes to an entry being remade/reimagined but this game adds to everything that made the original great. The tense atmosphere and feeling of Mr X chasing you around the police station to the intensity of tackling the lickers. A great nostalgic trip that only adds to the experience.

Enjoyable scary game.
Great graphics and interesting story. Some tense and scary parts. I really enjoyed the run through from the start as Leon. Then switched to Claire for the second run to get the different bits and the “true ending”. Didn’t enjoy that as much because most of it is just repeating exactly the same stuff as I’d done with Leon already, in the same place, finding the same items, doing the same actions. It got a little bit repetitive and boring then. The Claire parts should have been in a different environment for more of the time.

Fantastic ps4 remake
The absolute best remake that has appeared on the ps4, or any platform this generation, polishes the original, changes enough to feel fresh while still feeling familiar for older players, I purchesd this for myself (no ps4 at present but plan on another, wasn’t saying no at 5 quid) but I’ve given it to my son, he gets to play it at a similar age I did originally, I hope he learns to love horror like I do.

Fantastic game, great value for money
This was a gift for my girlfriend and she was really pleased with it. Amazon price was the best as it was newly released and we had played the original years ago.
The “remake” has plenty of changes into it while still remaining loyal to the original. Plenty of ” new” scares and twists, the campaigns can differ also so there is three tiers of play for both Jill and Leon and there are scenarios from various side characters to play.
We have only looked at them and not played them yet but so much play from this game, I highly recommend it.

It was a very well designed game with excellent graphics and good game play. Only criticism is that it is a fairly short game with limited replay ability, but still fun while it lasts.
Best game of the series
I loved the original when I was younger and expected to be disappointed by the remake, but in my opinion it’s the best game of the series. There’s enough of the original game but with modern graphics and updated controls and playing style (no more fixed cameras and no more door loading screens). I’ve got back into gaming mainly through this game.

Definitely worth playing whether you played the original or not.
If you’re a fan of the original resident evil games on playstation I absolutely recommend this. It’s similar enough to feel like the same game but at the same time different enough to feel like a completely new game and worth playing. Unlike the original there is much more replay value with a lot of game modes, trophies, challenges and extra stuff. However, it is quite different to the more recent resident evil games and I can understand why some people might not like it. It’s not as fast paced as most modern action games and there is a lot of backtracking and thinking involved. I put the game on hardcore mode because I like a challenge but after playing the game for several hours and progressing quite far I found the game was impossible because I had wasted too many bullets early on and had not boarded up the windows in the west corridor, which meant the place had become infested with zombies. So I had to restart the game and play thought it all again, this time boarding up windows earlier on and only killing certain zombies in key places that would affect me later on in the game (or save even more bullets by just shooting them in the legs so I can run past them). For this reason I’d recommend you don’t play it on hardcore mode first time round because it will almost certainly result in having to restart the game. If you play this game on easy or standard mode it’s probably a lot more action and shooting as the zombies are easier to kill and you have more bullets, but for a real challenge I’d recommend playing it on hardcore mode after because it’s very tactical and the whole game is like one big puzzle (what the is the best order to collect the required items? Which windows should you choose to board up? which zombies should you kill and which ones should you just run past? etc.)

As far as the game goes, it’s really brilliant, spooky and scary
The mechanics of the game are simple like drawing your weapons etc and shooting and aiming is simple enough.
The voice acting seems pretty well done and the graphics are really superb. It hasn’t lost that scary edge.
You get some extra player stories to play as well! It’s really nice to see what the citizens of Raccoon City did after the outbreak.
There’s only one or two negatives…
The game is fast paced and it seems to have lost a lot of its story and puzzles.
I distinctly remember more puzzles and a longer game, all in all with sporadic playing, I completed this game in under four hours.
Another negative is the G-Virus William Birkin Tytant battle with the crane. My lord above what a pain in the arse! Took about five attempts and some mild swearing but it’s a nightmare for me.
The lickers seem to leap at you and blend into my view, I don’t know if that’s just my game. It doesn’t spoil the game, but it’s irritating.
Claire’s and Leon’s story are also practically identical which is a real kicker too, there is only so much that is different.
The negatives as you can tell are massively trivial and I’m nitpicking at best here.
For me, it’s pure nostalgia, it’s graphically beautiful, nicely voice acted and despite my disappointment of a lack of tough puzzles, it still manages to be a brilliant but sadly short game.

Resident Evil 2 senza ombra di dubbio uno dei migliori remake di questa generazione.
Capcom ha svolto un lavoro impeccabile sotto tutti i punti di vista, riuscendo a soddisfare pienamente le aspettative di tutti i fan della saga.
Questo Resident Evil sfrutta tutte le potenzialit del Re Engine e regala al giocatore una qualit grafica accattivante, scenari ben dettagliati e nemici terrificanti.
Come nel capitolo originale anche qui la storia pu essere giocata sia nei panni di Leon che in quelli di Claire. Entrambi i personaggi hanno una propria storia con delle importanti differenze, quindi per concludere il titolo necessario portarle a termine entrambe.
C’ da dire per, che per quanto riguarda le differenze tra le due storie mi sarei aspettato qualcosina di pi, sotto questo aspetto non siamo ai livelli del capitolo originale.
La durata complessiva giocando entrambe le storie di circa 12-15 ore totali, una longevit che non fa impazzire ma comunque tipica di Resident Evil.
Il mio consiglio per portare l’esperienza ai massimi livelli quello di iniziare subito il gioco nella modalit Estrema, ovvero il pi alto tra i livelli di difficolt selezionabili, in modo che possiate immergervi il pi possibile nell’atmosfera e nelle ottime meccaniche da survival horror che questo titolo in grado di offrirvi.
Il mio giudizio complessivo non va oltre le 4 stelle, perch comunque parliamo di un titolo intenso ma non eccessivamente “vasto”, quindi se dovessi bocciare qualcosa direi senza ombra di dubbio la longevit.
Resta comunque un ottimo titolo che consiglio vivamente, sia agli amanti della saga sia a tutti quelli che sono alla ricerca di un buon survival horror.

Just finished the second play-through. Incredible. Scary. Beautiful. Well acted, story was great. And really difficult and fun to try and get S rank. Just wish i had more ammo to kill zombies with haha.
Loved the original, love the remake!!!
Loved this game when it was first released on PS2. Now it’s been given a revamp and it is amazing. Overall plot and puzzles are the same, a few tweaks, but still amazing. Gameplay, graphics, characters all breathtaking.
Experience the outbreak in more detail than imagined
Had been eagerly anticipating this since rumours started quite a few years back. When the day finally came I wasnt disappointed. You once again step into the shoes of rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy and searching sister Claire Redfield, only this time everything is that much better. From sound design to environments, character and enemy models, every part of the game has been remade but still gives that feeling of a 1998 nightmare. Camera is now in 3rd person over the shoulder as opposed to the fixed camera angles of the first 3 games and the tank controls are gone but if anything it just brings the game up to date while giving you a good dose of nostalgia. Enjoy and good luck, you’ll need it..
Fantastic Game
I never played any Resident Evil games as I couldn’t brave any sort of zombie games but I gave this a go and loved it. Very puzzle based with good action sequences, the graphics are incredible and its nice to see a beloved game being redone for a modern audience to such a brilliant calibre.

This game is something else. I’m not a huge RE fan and bought this on a whim. Well, I was hooked on the gameplay. I’ve played through all 8 scenarios (A+B on standard and hardcore) and got S+ rank in all. Normally I burn out any game after just a single playthrough. This is definitely worth giving a shot.

my god… im still angry with myself for wait to play this game for so long . im was not a resident evil guy… and i got resident evil ;revelations2 to play with my wife and really like it.. so i decided to give another try on this one that everyo9ne was giving great reviews.. and it changes everything i thought about Resident evil.. congratulations Capcon.. this is a masterpiece and deserves the best reviews . (ps: dont sell it after play.. i did that after i finished… but now i missed 🙁 … )
A great classic remastered
One of the best resident evils in the series in my opinion and great classic remastered to unbelievable quality as expected on latest generation consoles and i enjoy the story modes and everything else
